A fun read. Thank you
Enjoyed the story! Sweet and happy ending!
I enjoyed it very much. Great read.
Great as always from Carly Phillips
Love anything Phillips writes about this family. The struggle draws you in from the first page.
Grabs you from the beginning and holds you to the end! Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
Enjoyable romance. Liked the characters!
A fun read with good characters who came together to solve their problems. A light-hearted romance with an HEA.
Love this book as all your others, can’t put them down.
Gotta love the baby left of porch stories. This is part of Dare Nation Series… The Prescott kids finding out that their “uncle” is actually their test tube dad. That is its own story. It shapes who the Prescott’s grew up to be.
Quinn’s issues are totally believable and understandable. Austin’s anti-marriage is not quite so clear. Plot is classic and well done. I totally enjoyed how it played out.
A fun and heartwarming story. I loved the characters. I enjoyed the banter, connection and sizzling chemistry. It’s an entertaining read and great beginning to series.
Dare to Resist by Carly Phillips is the first standalone book in her new series, Dare Nation. I loved it. It is a sweet, quick sexy read. It follows the story of Quinn, assistant to Austin, ex football player now a highly successful sports agent. Austin is a gorgeous man. He is a bit of a playboy, never really looking for anything serious. Due to his previous football career he didn’t feel he could trust women’s intentions in the past. So he is surprised when he comes home one night to find a surprise baby on his doorstep. He immediately calls Quinn and although she is there for him instantly she has major reservations. I have to admit that Quinn irritated me the majority of the book. She had some major hang ups and resisted her feelings until the end. One thing I can admit though is their chemistry was undeniable. Holy sexual tension right from their very first meeting. There was a bit of push and pull but when they connect it’s magical and explosive. Austin was reserved at first but he falls hard and fast for his new baby daughter and becomes protective of her instantly. I fell for him fast. I loved Austin’s mom and siblings and can’t wait to read the rest in this series after the teasers dropped in this story.
The queen of romance strikes again! Carly Phillips gives us another hot, fantastic story – this time involving a sexy ex-football player/sports agent, and his new assistant, Quinn. A secret baby, off the charts chemistry, and a bachelor desperate for help…an out-of-the-park homerun!
This is the story of Austin and Quinn. Auston hires Quinn to be his assistant and there is such an attraction between these two. However this will have to be put on hold since she is now working for him. Austin too is shocked to find out he is a daddy when a baby is left on his door step. Now he is going to need Quinns help as more than his assistant and this will lead them down a road neither of them expects This is a really good read that will have you not putting the book down.
A terrific start to a new series by this fabulous author. Always one to give us swoon-worthy characters and a story to cause a few heart problems. Melting, aching, breaking and most of all heartfelt. Our hero, the sexy ex-footballer Austin and the wonderful Quinn are a dream couple. They started out hot, moved on because an office romance is taboo and then when he needed her she came through. A surprise baby will melt your heart as Austin struggles to be a dad and Quinn comes to his rescue. The old sparks between the two are fanned as they worked together for the baby. What a family they make! This is a fantastic office romance and surprise baby storyline with so many emotions and a few laughs. Worth the read!

Big alpha ex-football player Austin holding a tiny infant girl paints such an awesome and sexy picture. I love how he steps up to the task of taking care of the unexpected surprise of little Jenny. I also appreciate how Austin isn’t afraid to ask for help, especially from his executive assistant Quinn. Their chemistry is apparent and can’t be ignored unfortunately, Quinn has a firm belief in what her life should look like and it doesn’t include children.
This spin-off Dare series has a very promising beginning and I already pre-ordered the next book.
Even though surprise, secret baby is towards the bottom of my favorite tropes list, I enjoyed this venture back into the Dare family. I liked the fact that even though Austin is Quinn’s boss, they both made every attempt to keep things between them on a totally professional level. I liked that they didn’t pounce on each other like ravenous dogs because they couldn’t resist their attraction when they were around each other at the office.
A frantic call to Quinn from Austin changes everything when he discovers an infant abandoned on his doorstep with a more stating that she is his child. Quinn has strong negative feelings towards having a relationship with a man who has or wants children as she was forced to care for not only her siblings but the other children in her extended family.
The Carly Phillips magic is evident in this book as the relationship between Austin and Quinn feels organic and not forced. More drama is added when Austin’s brother Damon, a pro football player, has a pre-season injury that could end his career due to actions of others. Looking forward to Damon and Evie’s story!
