What a nice escape. I’m happy to say that my Dare stories aren’t over. I love it when a book hooks me right from the start and Dare to Resist did just that. Alex Dare runs a sports agency with his family having to take some time off he has to hire an assistant, cue Quinn. These two were the perfect match and the chemistry was off the charts! Of course they try to deny their attraction but once Austin needs Quinn’s help with a surprise delivery walls begin to crumble. Is it an original premise? No. Way the story fun, flirty and feel-good? YES. Don’t even try to Resist-grab this one and enjoy but fair warning you’ll be hooked on the Dares and need more, more, more!!

Dare to Resist is a great start to Carly Phillips new series, Dare Nation. The Dares have always been a great family and it’s exciting that we get to continue on with them.
Austin Prescott is an ex-football player and he’s currently an agent who is looking for a new administrative assistant. He’s due to have surgery to donate a kidney to a family member and he needs someone in place before that happens. Little does he know that when Quinn arrives for the job interview, she’s going to not only be able to handle his clients, but him as well! Oh and let’s not forget that he’s attracted to her the first time he lays eyes on her.
Quinnlyn Stone has come to the interview prepared and she makes a great first impression on Austin. She wants to forge her own path after so many years of her family taking her for granted and not giving her wants and needs any thought. She’s willing to stand up to Austin, which lets him know she’ll handle the athletes just fine. The interesting thing here is the attraction is mutual and after a moment of weakness, Quinn and Austin give in and find themselves locked in a kiss.
Fast-forward a year, the kiss well in the rear-view mirror, Austin calls Quinn in a panic when he arrives home and finds a package on his doorstep in the form of a baby! There is a note that says she is his, but that’s it. Quinn jumps in to help and it’s clear that her years of taking care of her siblings and cousins is coming in handy because she knows all the ins and outs that Austin needs to care for Jenny. As the two work together to care for the little girl while they await the results of the paternity test, it becomes clear that the attraction from the year before has not dimmed. Will these two be able to make a go of it? Or will the things that Quinn believes she wants out of her life force her to walk away from not only Austin, but Jenny too?
There was so much to love about this book. I enjoyed how much of a fish out of water Austin was when Jenny arrived and how he wasn’t afraid to admit it. I also liked how it was a slow realization for Quinn that what she thought she always wanted didn’t have to be her final path. This was a great start to this series and I am very much looking forward to the next one in the series!
I loved this first book in this new series! I fell in love with the Dare men but wait until you meet Austin Prescott. This man is all alpha and you are going to fall in love with him. I loved him from the first moment he meets Quinn for an interview to be his assistant. The banter between them in the interview with Quinn’s quick come back answers to some of Austin’s questions let me know Austin had met his match. I am so glad that Quinn was a strong independent woman, because that is exactly what Austin needed in a woman and in his life. Add in the surprise baby and this story will keep you entertained with how Austin grows as a dad and how him and Quinn keep him together. This is a great book to start off this new series and I cannot wait to read Damon’s story next.
Quinn and Austin have chemistry oozing out their pores for each other……when Austin needs to hire an assistant, he never imagined he would find the love of his life. Quinn just needs a job that doesn’t include children. One kiss and they know they are in trouble, fast forward a year and a mystery baby has them living together……OMG I love the Dare family.

I read an advanced copy for an honest review.
Austin Prescott has it all. He’s a former top NFL star, hasa great family, has women fawning over him and runs a top notch sports management company. What he doesn’t have is an assistant to keep up with him.
Enter Quinn. She has spent her life catering to her family and NOW it’s her turn to do what she wants in life. She has does her homework and really wants this assistant job. What she did not count on, despite the pictures, was how HOT Austin is. How attractracted to him she his. This is a line she swears she will NEVER cross.
Despite the chemistry, things are working out great and professional for Austin and Quinn.
One evening a Babay shows up at Austin’s door with a note claiming the baby is his (despite him always using protection). In a panic, he calls Quinn for help.
Suddenly, peerhaps it’s due to exhaustion from caring for a baby, lines become blurred and the passion these two have fought, rises to the surface.
This book is a rollercoaster ride of emotion and is a fantasy so the fact that he is her boss, needs to be taken with a grain of salt. it’s still a great, sexy read.
This is going to be a great new series!!
I loved, loved, loved this first book in this new series! I thought the Dare men were hot, but wait until you meet Austin Prescott. This man is all alpha and you are going to fall in love with him. I loved him from the first moment he meets Quinn when she walks into his office for an interview. The banter between them in the interview made me chuckle with how well Quinn answered some of Austin’s questions. The chemistry between these two was hot and I’m so glad that Quinn was a strong independent woman, cause that is exactly what Austin needed in a woman. Add in the surprise baby and this story will keep you entertained with how Austin grows as a dad and how him and Quinn come together. This is a great book to start off this new series and I can’t wait to read Damon’s story next.
5 stars
Quinn had to help raise her siblings and cousins when she was younger. Her wants and feelings were always last. So, she decided early on that she wasn’t having kids. She becomes the assistant to Austin, a former football player and now owner of a sports agency. Austin has been a playboy and loving his single life until he comes home to find a baby on his doorstep. He. Freaks. Out. Calls Quinn, his assistant, and tells her he has an emergency. When Quinn arrives, it’s too learn Austin has a baby. She really doesn’t want to stay but he begs her not to leave him. Quinn ends up staying the night and the kiss they shared, brings all the heat back between them. Now Quinn is living with Austin until the paternity test comes back and he gets familiar with the baby. But will she be able to leave after spending so much time with them?
A surprise baby. A woman who swears she doesn’t want a family. A guy who has a baby left with him and gets a crash course in babies. Sexy. And smoking hot.

I loved this book! I can’t seem to get enough of the Prescott/Dare family. Austin is looking for an administrative assistant to help him, especially when he goes in to donate a kidney to his uncle/father. I loved how he is taken with Quinn when she walks in to interview for the job. Just his luck, he is attracted to her and can’t have an outside of work relationship with her if she is working for him. Quinn is smart and prepared for his interview as she has read up everything she could about the man and the job. I felt bad that Quinn had to take care of her brothers, sisters and cousins as she was the oldest. The worse part was that no one asked her how she felt about it and if there were other places she wanted to go. This has colored her outlook on ever having children. Unfortunately Austin gets a big surprise when he comes home one night and finds a baby girl by his front door crying. I loved watching him learn to take care of a baby with the help of Quinn. This also gave Quinn a look at another side of Austin she hadn’t seen. There are some more bumps in the road that broke my heart at times. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
