This is a story I have liked since I bought the book back in November of 2015 and every time I read it I like it just as much as the first time. I also find myself wiping my eyes as certain parts always make me cry. This has been my Christmas book since I first bought it. A book I would recommend.

“Grab true love when you can”
In Dante’s Gift the author entwined two stories in two different times. It was so beautifully written that you felt the connection between the characters even through time.

I loved the dual love stories in this book – that of Kathleen and Dominic, and also of his grandmother (Antonia) and grandfather. I found myself as spellbound as Katie when Antonia was telling the story of the war and how she met her future husband. And of course then there’s the family dog, Dante.
This story showed how our upbringing colors our views and sometimes we just need to be through example how things can be different.
The book is a good romance read. The characters are good, and enjoyable. The story is a historical, holiday, sweet, and romance read.

This was a new author to me, but I enjoy Tom’s narration, so I thought I’d give it a try! He did a wonderful job!!
The story parts that took place in Italy reminded me of warm memories of my time in Italy! I could completely connect with the boisterous Italian family described in this story!
I love that its a WWII romance as well as a contemporary! The historical aspects were thoughtfully and brilliantly woven in and kept me on the edge of my seat!
A truly wonderful audiobook!
I loved this novella. I really loved the juxtaposition of the past and the war and its realities with the present. The intertwining of the Italian was great also. Add those items to wonderful characters and the sweet Christmas story line and it was a good reaD.

This book is a short romance about Dominic Lawrence and Kathleen James who are about to become engaged. Unfortunately, Dom’s grandmother’s sister passes away in Italy and his grandmother will be coming to Chicago to live with him. He makes this announcement to Katie on the evening that he had planned to propose to her. Will she accept his proposal under these new circumstances? Will she be willing to share her new-to-be husband and her home with his grandmother? Katie is filled with guilt about not wanting her to come live with them, yet knowing what the right choice should be. Antonia, an Italian wartime bride, has a story to tell, however, about an American soldier and a very special collie. Will that make a difference in Katie’s decision?
This was a good story that kept the reader’s attention. It can be a difficult situation when preparing to start a new married life and having someone else move in to change the dynamic. Will Katie give Antonia a chance to get to know her? Will Antonia’s love story allow Katie to open her own heart and bond with Dom’s Nonna?
A beautiful, heartwarming holiday romance story. The characters are strong, well developed, caring and have a great relationship. A well written story that’s perfect to read during the holidays. This is a book you can read over and over and not get tired of it.

Dante’s Gift is a sweet tale that spans two generations. Aubrey Wynne takes us on a trip through time to meet lovely Italian Antonia who lives in war torn Italy during World War 2 and beautifully weaves Antonia’s story into that of the independent and beautiful Katie in present day America. As a result of their pasts, both women carry a world of heartache and fears. Fears that prevent them from surrendering their hearts. It is with the patience and strength of the two men who pursue them and the wisdom of a wonderful dog that they learn to trust. Dante’s Gift has all the elements I enjoy in a story (humor, wisdom, and tears). Wynne has crafted a beautiful short story guaranteed to warm your heart and make you sigh.
This was a beautiful story. The flashbacks added detail and depth. The relationship between the two main characters was touching and loving. I found myself liking his grandmother and I loved how her character added to the story.
This is a sweet heartwarming holiday romance story, with strong caring characters. Well-written book. It was a pleasure to read this book.
Dante’s Gift – I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Well written with a conversational style, this interesting story blended the past with the present creating a heartwarming, loving feeling. The characters are funny, likable and realistic, along with their dialog. The storylines meshed together immersing the reader and too quickly the end appeared. A quickly read, relaxing book. Clean with no profanity. Needs minor editing. 4*
Saving Grace – This is my first read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Well written and intriguing, a good historical background well blended with the present immerses the reader deep into the pages. There’s a touch of magic bringing a fantasy element to the story, which adds a richness to an already lovely story. The parallels between Chloe and Grace are similar even though there’s 300 years between them; prejudice and hatred still exist. Korinna’s story and her part in this story adds to the magic. Even with the dark, the light shines through and too soon the story is finished. Clean with no profanity. Needs minor editing. 4*
Inspirational. Well written. Two couples: both from different. The men and women of each couple from different cultures. The older couple from war-torn Italy during WWII. The younger couple from today. Love, with the help of a collie mix, brought the older couple together. Truly enjoyable.
I was provided this book by the author; however, the review is my honest opinion.

Well the book shows a lot of promise. I liked how the conversations flowed casually among the characters. The main characters, Nico and Katie. The author was able to help the reader, me see the strong bond that’s between Nico and Katie. I was able to see how it was a struggle for Katie to overcome her insecurities and trust in Nico. Nico character was exudes who he is. The author really thought how she wanted his character to be perceived in this book.
My only issue is that the story was a little bland. It was a steady low straight line. Not so much like other contemporary romance books. I hope to read something else from the writer as she improves.
