Alone and off-balance, Celia finds herself falling for Lord Dahleven. But dangerous forces are at work, and one of them is offering Celia a way home–for a price.

It was amazing, I had my heartbroken by the death of the sworn brother but I really enjoyed the storyline and how it was brought to life. The twists and turns…just amazing
Romance, peril, and magic: what more could anyone ask?
I enjoyed this book. It is about time travel, Vikings, romance and a HEA.
Unusual premise but a bit predictable at yimes
This had a unique setting but I kept wanting to understand if it was a parallel universe or exactly what it was. Another thing I wondered about was How Vikings who had come from somewhere else eight hundred years before spoke almost identical ENglish to the one who just came. Maybe I am picky.
I’m so hooked on these books …so much so I’m already on number four of the series and it’s been five days since I read this one…. if that’s any indication. The Characters are well developed, the settings perfectly described … it makes one feel you’re there.
I’ve read several time traveling books…these by far have kept my interest the best.
I like this book a lot. The Norse mythology mixed into it was an interesting plus. I liked the characters. I liked how it gave a conclusion to this story, but left it open for expansion. I will probably read the next in the series.
Could not put book down, had to finish. Loved the characters and found myself wishing I could be there also.
Fun mix of interests.
Time travel, Vikings, Native Americans and super powers all mixed together in one novel. I loved it and can’t wait to start book 2!
Loved this book, had to read the series
A good read, though it kept me up reading past bedtime, as I got into the plot unfolding.
It has some twists and turns and isn’t for the faint at heart to read before bed in the more intense parts.

Emergency dispatcher Celia Montrose is out on a hike looking for some lost petroglyphs, but when she finds them her life changes in a way she never would have believed. Transported to another world with no idea how or why, Cele is just trying to survive in a desert with no water. When a group of strange men come across her, she’s afraid, but her need for water is now desperate. She trusts them, but is watchful. The leader of the group, Lord Dahleven, is just as wary of her. Is she a spy, ally, or something else? He thinks she may be Fey-marked, but he needs to hoof it back home to warn his people of impending war, so he drags her along for the ride until he can figure her out. And that’s when things go sideways.
I don’t read too many time travel stories anymore, but this is more like world or dimension travel even if the people of Alfheim are living like times long past. The writing is good, the characters interesting, the world is fascinating, and the plot is decent. My main problem is with Celia. Her singlemindedness to get home blinded her to everything else around her. And this makes her act like a damn moron. Plus, I had a hard time with the insta-love between her and Dahleven. But other than that this is a tale that will keep you turning the pages.
I fun read
What happens to a 21st century woman who goes back in time. She changes history. Didn’t want it to end.
This book was pretty good until the brought in the elves. Then I bailed.
This is a fun and entertaining book.
Grabs you from the start with excellent pacing, fascinating characters and culture, and a satisfying romance. I want more!
A page Turner. Read in one sitting, however it was book from a series of several and of course ended upon a major cliff hanger
I love reading books about time travel. I just fine them very entertaining…
Interesting read, kept me turning pages. Would like to read more of the same. Recommended.
