A Jamie Begley AnthologyHEAVEN SENTThere wasn’t anything Shade didn’t know about his wife, or so he thought. When another man wanted Lily, it didn’t come as a surprise. What did was that she hadn’t told him. His “Angel” had been sent from heaven just for him, not for another who was trying to steal what was his. Some lessons had to be learned the hard way and “when you burn, you learn” was his … “when you burn, you learn” was his favorite lesson to teach.
CHASING RAINBOWS
Ice had never believed in happily ever after … until he fell in love with Grace. He had put a ring on her finger, trying to tie her to him before she came to her senses and realized there was nothing redeeming about him. So, he wasn’t surprised that their marriage was on the rocks.
She might be chasing rainbows, trying to find the man she believed he was, but rainbows never lasted, and Ice had never pretended to be anything but what he was—a cold-blooded Predator.
She didn’t realize you don’t have to chase after something that’s already been caught.
HALO FOR THREE
Hammer and Jonas were on the hunt for a woman to share. However, either they couldn’t agree on the right woman, or she wanted no part of being in a ménage. That they found Mika on Valentine’s Day gave them hope that they had finally found the woman that they could spend the rest of their lives with … until she disappeared the next day, leaving them with an empty bed and no way to find her.
She might have escaped for now, believing she had gotten off scot-free, but the bounty hunters were determined to catch their fleeing third.
She might not know it yet, but some halos were made to be shared.

3.5 stars
After reading these stories, I am feeling like a big ball of confusion, joy, annoyance, anger, swoon, laughter & anticipation for what’s to come! Because let’s face it… Gavin’s story is at the top of EVERYONE’S TBR list!!
*****SPOILERS SPRINKLED THROUGHOUT*****
BEST PARTS OF THE WHOLE BOOK:
1) Gavin laying eyes on Ginny for the first time- Loved, loved, LOVED how his voice turned raspy & how mesmerized he was while watching Ginny sing! Their love story is going to be EPIC!!
2) Greer- This man is the abso-freakin’-lutely BEST scene-stealer in this series. His wheelin’ & dealin’ never gets old & keeps me in stitches every damn time. Love his character so hard!
Now on to the specific stories…
**Heaven Sent**
The Shade/Lily sex was hot but the rest was kinda just the same ol’ Shade/Lily sh*t. The insecurities felt by both, the stupid decision-making by Lily, the “perfect Lily” comments from everyone & their mother… *sigh* We got a couple teeny-tiny tidbits about other characters/situations but other than that, they didn’t really bring anything new to the table.
I still don’t get why it was so vital that they HAD to have a story in this anthology. Shade could’ve accomplished the same things by worming himself into a Rider/Jo story but… it is what it is, I guess. So disappointed that we missed out on Jo’s pregnancy & the birth of Crux though. Hopefully, we get more of them in Gavin’s book!
**Chasing Rainbows**
After the sh*tty cliffhanger we were given in T.A.’s book concerning Ice/Grace’s relationship, I was ready for the ultimate, most-beautiful forever HEA to be bestowed upon my favorite Predators couple. Unfortunately, that’s not what happened. I was left very unsatisfied after reading their part in this anthology.
I knew it would be tough to hear about their problems & what led them to this tension-filled point in their relationship but man… it truly pained me to see it all written down. Their loss combined with Grace’s constant comparisons between her & Lily absolutely gutted me. You are AMAZING in your own right, Grace! No need for those silly comparisons!!
On a happier note, I loved how Grace handled the Porsche situation. And the fact that Ice NEVER gave up on her, NEVER was tempted to cheat on her, vanquished her demons & immediately hightailed it home when he got the “ovulation call”… #swooncity.
**Halo for Three**
Although I’ve always been a #TeamPeyton fan where Hammer & Jonas were concerned, I didn’t mind Mika. She seemed like an interesting character but unfortunately, this triad’s story went WAY too warp-speed for me. I love me a good insta-love story but this was more like insta-huh?! It was just too all-over-the-place for me. I felt the spark between these three but can’t comprehend how virginal Mika went from “I’m too frigid” to “Come into my hotel room, strangers” to “It’s gettin’ too real, I’ve gotta run” to “Killed my roommate’s abusive boyfriend” to “Hell, I’ll move to Tennessee with ya’ll”… I just didn’t get it. I wanted to but I was so confused.
As for the Before/After connection with Mika… I didn’t see the need for it. I mean, I’m happy for the end result (because I hate the thought of anyone trying to hurt Grace) but I think that it was something that Dalton could’ve taken care of on his own, without the help of Mika. It all felt too forced for some reason.
That said… Bring on the heartbreakingly beautiful story that HAS to be Gavin & Ginny’s story! I CANNOT WAIT to see their first & forever EVERYTHINGS with one another!!
Side Note: Regarding Logan’s drawing… Super curious if it was simply referring to the ending of Shade 2 or if it was eluding to something more…
