This book was so many things I just don’t have the time or Space to tell you everything. I loved it. It was everything and more, and it inspired me to write one of my own books! Thank you K, I owe you one.
Dangerous hearts by K.K. Allen was so good I couldn’t put it down Lyric and Wolf where mint for each other. This was my first K.K. Allen and I have to say I have found another addiction to another Author!
Wolf is the ultimate rock star bad boy with a past that has made him that way. He has hidden secrets to why he is the one and done man that he is. That is until Lyric Cassidy walks into his life and turns his whole reasoning upside down.
Lyric Cassidy has hidden talents that she wants to keep t her self. If one is discovered it could change thins for her and that is something she doesn’t want. She has had her hear broken by a bad rock star and has sworn off Rock stars.
It only when they realize that they have a connection either one of them wants to admit to at first. Both of their past make them made for each other each can relate to on more levels then one. The day they meet for the first time their worlds collide and there is no stopping fate and the journey they are about to take.
This book takes you on a journey of emotions and is wonderfully written. Ready for book two.
Dangerous Hearts was a novel filled with intense emotions between the bad boy Rockstar and his Road manager. It was interesting to watch Lyric and Wolf dance around each other. Their banter was amusing but the fireworks when they got together was breath-taking. I loved watching them fall in love with each other. The emotions were so real and the author did an excellent job of making you feel that emotion.
Told in dual point of view, this story was addictive, sexy, romantic with some angst and OMG an ending that had me screaming for more. This was my first book by KK Allen but it definitely won’t be my last as I can’t wait for the next book in this series. This was an excellent read.
Really enjoyed this well written story and characters! Look forward to checking out more by this author!!
I’ve always been a big rockstar romance fan, but this one is up there as one of the best I’ve read. KK Allen definitely has a winner with this one.
Wolf is the bad boy rocker who lives in the limelight whereas Lyric is much happier taking a backseat and staying behind the scenes. The chemistry between these two is off the charts!
Now excuse me while I rush off to read the ending to this duet!
-I am so picky about rockstar romance stories. So, of course I’m a little nervous when I start a new one because they are either amazing or a total flop. Dangerous Hearts was just amazing!! Lyric and Wolf are two imperfect people with cracked hearts and they each have their own ways of dealing with those cracks. From their first encounter they were at each other’s throats in the best possible way. Reading as they navigated from enemies to friends and beyond kept me laughing, swooning and fanning my face. I loved every sin no gle word and can’t wait to dive into the second part of this amazing duet.
Lyric comes from the music lifestyle with both her parents being musicians. She is a disappointment for her father because she would rather do the business end instead of the spotlight. Wolf is the lead singer for the band Lyric is sent to help while they are tour with the management end of things.
Lyric comes to this job from a bad breakup and the attraction she finds with Wolf seems like it may be the real thing. Need the next book to see what happens for them.
Let’s me say this first I am so glad that I didn’t find these books until both were released and able to read back to back.
I love these characters so much. Despite Wolf’s reluctance at a real relationship Lyric is exactly everything he needs. Unfortunately Lyric has demons of her own that she is dealing with that cause her to hold back from Wolf. So this book definitely ends on one heck of a cliff hanger.
As a side note just noticed these are both available on audio with Audible Escape. Definitely going to take advantage of that.
Dangerous Hearts is the first part of the ‘Stolen Melody’ duet by K.K. Allen. This is an angsty, hot rock star romance between a singer and his tour manager.
Lyric has known rock stars all her life, both her parents were famous and her father still is. She’s not a performer, preferring to work in the background and that’s how she meets Wolf. She literally bumps into on her first day as his band’s new road manager. Wolf’s is the quintessential hot rocker and Lyric knows he’ll be trouble. She’s just got out of a relationship and isn’t looking for a simple one night stand or a hookup.
But can she ignore the burning chemistry that churns between them?
This book hooked me from start to finish and now I have to jump right into part two. See you on the flip side.
him
Nothing better than a bad boy rocker and a woman who can not only understand him but that also speaks his language. Lyric and Wolf come together quickly. From the first encounter until the end the romance is filled with love, music and deception. But when the going gets tough will Lyric walk away? Or will Wolf force her to leave? The pair were easy to fall in love with and even easier to understand how they complete each other. I cannot wait to see where the story leads.
I am loving Wolf and Lyric’s story. It is angsty, romantic, and sweet. I am loving the rock and roll setting of this story. I was in tears by the end. This authors knows how to make her readers see and feel her words. Now, I’m jumping back in to this story. I am super glad it wasn’t a true cliffhanger. I would have been broken for a long time!
I’ve only discovered K.K. Allan at beginning of this year. She, by far, has become one of my favorite authors. I don’t give out many 5 star reviews and K.K. seems to get me every time.
Dangerous Hearts is simply amazing. This is not a stand-alone book. Once you finish the book, you will want more. Need more!
Wolfe is a gorgeous rocker who doesn’t believe in relationships. All he does and knows are one night stands. It’s easier on him, especially on tour.
Lyric is a beautiful women who takes relationships serious. She even admits she doesn’t understand the lifestyle many musicians choose. Lyric is also the tour manager for Wolfe and his band.
Their chemistry is amazing, their passion for each other is on fire, and their love for each other is something you wished you had in your own life.
You enjoy a rollercoaster with both of these characters. You get to see a softer side of Wolfe as Lyric guards her heart.
* I received an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review. *
Let me start by saying I do think that book was a good read. I liked Wolf and Lyrica when they got together. They could not keep their hands to themselves, but I was not complaining! When they first met, they tried their hardest to put up a wall so they would keep it professional but only lasted a short period of time.
I was confused by Lyric’s reaction when she heard Wolf sing her words. I thought it was because she wrote it about her ex but isn’t that where great love songs come from? That is why I did not understand why she was acting that way towards it all. There was obviously something going on with that, but like Wolf we were left in the dark confused. How could be so close to him and not let him in?
I don’t know if I have read too many bands on tour romance novel, but I was struggling getting into it. I feel like the story is always the same with some minor changes. While parts of this story were different it just was not enough to make me fall in love with it. As I said this is a personal preference, so I do recommend you give this book a chance. Also make sure you are prepared for a cliff hanger.
Ouch, my heart.
This book gave me all the feels.
I love Lyric and Wolf, from their first fated meeting as kids to the slow burn of them falling in love, they are one of those couples who feel destined, completely meant to be.
K.K.Allen manages to grab on to your heart with her writing, making you root for her characters the way you would friends.
I NEED to read the rest of the story.
5 stars and a songbook
K.k.’s books are always amazing, every story she writes is a knock out.
Dangerous Heart is different but sexy-as-sin, and a bona fide poetry that will have you melting just by reading.
The characters, Lyric and Wolf, are genuine, and sweet in their own way but intense at the same time.
Lyric, the strong, independent and feisty girl with a damaged heart and a secret.
Wolf, the broody rock star with a broken soul but with a heart you will fall in love with.
Two broken people finding their way to one another, needing each other solace without even realizing it until it is too late.
But timing and a past encounter will rock their world, making them take harsh decisions no one expects.
Will they follow their dangerous heart? Or Will they give up on each other?
Part 2 will have the answers and I can’t wait to dive in!!
I think what first drew me into this book was the Rockstar aspect. The first chapter intrigued me and then I got sucked in with just the fact that Lyric is a tour manager. Being a tour manager was my dream job at one point and I liked reading about the ins and outs of traveling from city to city performing shows. I also enjoyed the story of Wolf and Lyric, though, and can’t wait to read more in book 2.
K.K. Allen really can do everything. I loved the connection that Wolf and Lyric had. It was intense, witty, and full of laughs. It also had a nice little twist which I enjoyed. But, let’s not forget about the angst in this story. It wouldn’t be K.K Allen without some angst in the story. I loved the world of music and both of their back stories. This does leave you on a cliffhanger for the next book so be prepared for that. That never bothers me but it bothers some people. I’m ready to dive into the next book to find out what happens. I have a feeling the angsty feelings will be top notch.

Fantastic book! This was perfect- from the very beginning as 15 year olds to the current day. These two have intense chemistry and you could definitely feel every bit of it! Can’t wait for the ending of the duet!
I loved this book! First off Wolf and Lyric. Wow. The chemistry between the two is enough to start a campfire. Then add the banter, I just couldn’t put this book down. Dangerous Hearts is a captivating story that shows us that people will come into our lives at a time we may not realize it, but it was meant to happen for a reason. Lyric and Wolf have different upbringings, both have experienced things that have shaped them into her they are today. Lyric and Wolf from the moment they meet have that instant connection. One that is strong and makes you root for them to figure out what is happening between these two. However, when pasts come back to haunt the present and secrets are kept, can they make it through together? Everything Lyric and Wolf go through and how things are between them just pulls at the heart strings. I cannot wait to read the next part of the duet and see what happens between Lyric and Wolf!
Cassidy is a tour manager who left her last tour because her boyfriend had sex with her best friend. She leaves and starts a new tour where she meets Wolf. Wolf and Cassidy have instant attraction but Wolf doesn’t do anything but one night stands and no repeats. They become friends and more but just when they say how they truly feel disaster strikes. Great characters and storylines. Highly recommended. Amazing Book. This ends on a cliffhanger but book 2 is out Destined Hearts.
