The Dating Games Series Recommended Reading Order
Each book in this series can be enjoyed separately as each stands on their own. However, it is recommended you read them in the following order:
1. Dating Games
2. Wicked Games
3. Mind Games
4. Dangerous Games
more
I’m always up for a good love triangle so when I read the blurb for Dangerous Games, I was all in. Izzy was engaged to Jessie, younger brother to Asher. However, once Iz met Asher, they found that they had a connection that was beyond friendship. They shared a love of music and quiet evenings under the stars. When Iz and Jessie where on a break, Jessie comes home with an ex, irrevocably damaging his relationship with Izzy but could she then move on to Asher?
Dangerous Games starts with Mind Games a prequel to Dangerous after Jessie and Iz have broken up. Iz is in Vegas for a bachelorette party and a chance meeting at a bar leads to a one night stand with Asher. What follows is two people who know what the “right” thing to do is but is the right thing what should happen?
Following along with Asher and Iz’s story was at turns uplifting and heartbreaking. It is clear that the two are destined for each other but the way things happened wasn’t at all easy. This is a roller coaster of a read with scenes that will have you cursing, then cheering on Iz and Asher. A rough road to a happily ever after with a few twists along the way that show that fate can be thwarted but not denied.
Forbidden/Second Chance Romance
This story ties together two of my favorite genres. There have been glimpses of this budding romance throughout the series. There are many secrets revealed in this one that I didn’t see coming. I have to admit I wanted to thump Izzy in the forehead on numerous occasions. As always T. K. gives you all the feels. She writes great characters with dynamic personalities. Asher is totally swoon-worthy. I am in love with the Grandmother she is seriously funny. She needs her own RomCom. The author has added interesting suspense elements to this story. The flow was a little slow in places which is why I gave it 4 stars. I recommend this book to anyone with a soft spot for musicians. I am looking forward to the next book. I think that there will be even more back story.
T.K. Leigh
4.5 Stars
I cannot say enough about Izzy & Asher’s Story ~ it was filled with all kinda “feels”. I love that you don’t get just a fluffy love story with TK Leigh’s books, they are gritty, deal with real-life issues we don’t want to talk about, the characters are sooo strong, sooo well written you can’t help but to get caught up in the story and they leave an impression. I will never look at an Origami Dove or think of a Boomerang the same after reading this one.
My GO-TO Author has written another AMAZING book that I HIGHLY recommend!
Dangerous games ARC
Definitely worth 5
“I’ve been searching my entire life for something when it’s been right in front of me all along.”
If you know me personally you know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Musicians, I listen to any kind of music, I love looking at every hot musician out there (especially Asher) and when I saw Dangerous games was about a Musician I had to sign up for the arc. To actually get it was a dream and then I got even more blessed that I received signed swap by the queen herself was just wow. I was in shock for a couple hours let me tell you that. So now we are done talking about my own moment let start about how beautiful this story is.
We started 2020 with a BANG T.K Leigh made my heart swoon over this book so I’m going to keep this as short as possible. After the first page I was already craving for more I don’t know what it was but this book pulled me into it, but I just wanted more more more. I actually didn’t expected That to happen but wow! Their chemistry, their story, their “boomerang” this story is worth to read it will make your heart burst open with love.
Asher York is the ultimate guy every girl wants he’s kind, weet, HOT, beautiful and makes your heart burst with the way he talks. I really enjoyed this book a lot its different from all the Alpha men I read daily I can tell you he’s definitely in my top 10 fav book boyfriends of 2020 and we just started!
Izzy is one hell of a strong girl with the plot twist going on, which I didn’t expected and the way she handled it LOVE HER! I love how she wants that “shy girl” she made mistakes learned from it and grew into this amazing woman.
I can’t wait for Nora’s story keep it up T.K. Leigh I need a lot more from you!

From the moment she saw him singing in a local club she was drawn to him, his looks, his sultry voice, and his hypnotizing eyes made him the best kind of drug. The kind she couldn’t get enough of, she wanted to know him, and be the woman his songs were about. But before she could find the courage to approach him she met another man by chance, one that made her smile and her heart skip a beat.
Not realizing that this new man would bring her closer to the soulful singer than she had ever been before. They happened to be brothers, and it was evident they were close, and she suddenly felt like the woman in the middle. Her relationship with Jesse was starting to fall apart, but at the same time she was harboring serious feelings for his brother Asher. Her instincts told her she could be so happy with Asher, but leaving Jesse for his brother could cause a whole host of issues for their family and she loved them too much to bring that trouble into their lives. So she walked away…
But now, after a few years have passed, Asher has made a reappearance in her life… and this time he doesn’t plan on letting her get away, he wants his muse!
Nothing makes for a more intriguing story than forbidden love, and Dangerous Games is perfect example of that, one page in and I was completely hooked. Izzy knew giving into her feelings for Asher could only reek havoc on their lives. But her head and her heart were waging a war against one another and eventually her heart won out. I thoroughly enjoyed watching her and Asher try to keep their relationship under wraps, at times I felt like I had been let in on someone’s dirty little secret… and it was exciting and intense. This was wonderful story to kick off a new year of reading with, it’s pages held a story that was captivating, steamy, mildly suspenseful, and good for the heart! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
” I never wanted anything my brother had, until you …”
I am a huge fan of TK Leighs and anytime I hear she is coming out with a book I jump all over it and this time was no different . I’ve been waiting for Asher and Izzys story for a while now and I was not disappointed . My heart broke for Izzy and Asher for what they endured having to love each other from afar never being able to tell each other their true feelings . This is a forbidden second chance romance that you don’t want to miss . I am rating this 4 stars because it took me a little while to get into the story the beginning was pretty much Mind Games which I expected but it still lagged a little for me but once I got further into it I couldn’t put it down and the story itself was so intriguing that I had to know what was going on it had a little suspense in it that you expect from a TK Leigh novel and that made it a page turner for me . I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good forbidden second chance romance !
*** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book ***
This story consumed me. It was everything I expected and more. T.K. did it again, I LOVE everything about Asher and Izzy story. It was an amazing read. I love the forbidden aspect of the story. You will feel so many different emotions in this book from heartbreak, suspense, secrets being kept and love. It has a great storyline and the characters are great and well written. There’s nothing better than a writer who can put you inside the character’s world. I really feel it’s one of those books you have to experience for yourself. I would recommend this book anyone.

Dangerous games
Asher and Izzy have history. History that span into an in knowing relationship. Things got complicated because Izzy was seeing and became engaged to Asher’s younger brother.
Things didn’t turn out as everyone planned and miscommunications and misunderstandings and blurred lines leaves Izzy heartbroken and torn.
Flash forward and Izzy and Asher meet by chance in Vegas after being estranged from each other for years! The chemistry is still there as it was those many years ago. As well as the many secrets and lies they kept from each other .
So many emotions and feelings, you’ll get mad because Izzy can be irrational at times but you’ll fall in love with the forbidden romance and second chance for Asher and Izzy.
This is such a great read, you’ll love every minute of it especially when Grandma enters the story!! T. K. Leigh you never disappoint
This was the first book I read by T.K. Leigh and I’m impressed. This story gave me all the feels. A beautiful second chance romance, full of angst and overflowing emotions.
“You’ll always be my favorite almost.”
Asher is a talented musician that’s been in love for many years with Izzy, his muse and his brother’s ex-fiance. They haven’t seen each other in a year but when he gets a second chance to tell her how he feels, Asher puts his heart on the table for Izzy. They have so much chemistry, they are just right for each other but their relationship is like a rollercoaster. She doesn’t want to jeopardize Asher’s relationship with his brother by admitting her true feelings for him (that Asher stole her heart many years ago) and seeing her battle her indecision was really heartbreaking.
“I never wanted anything my brother had. Until you.”
The story is told from the heroines POV. All the characters and situations presented were relatable and I liked how the plot evolved, even though there were some parts where I couldn’t agree with Izzy’s actions and decisions. I also liked the subplot that developed towards the end, it added more spice to the story.
Overall it was a lovely and well-written book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would recommend it to those who love slow burn, second chance romances, with an added twist. Looking forward to reading other books from Ms. Leigh!

This book is so amazing that draws you in and you can’t put it down. Asher and Izzy take you one hell of ride to get their happy ending. Their journey has angsts, suspenseful, funny, heartbreaking and soo steamy. I totally recommend to read it you will get all feels. T.k. Leigh did amazing writing their story. I can’t wait for Nora’s story.
Wow just wow. What can I say about this book that hasn’t been already said. I think this is by far the best book in this series. We first meet Asher and Izzy in Wicked Games and I knew then that their story was going to be the best of the year. This book has everything in it. Forbidden love, laughter, crying times, heartbreak, undeniable passion so hot your mind will combust and a grandmother who knows exactly what her grandchildren need. TK takes you on a journey with these 2 that will stay with you long after you finish this book. I highly recommend this book and it will be the must read of 2020.
A great forbidden/second chance romance. This is book 3 in the Dating Games series and the second that I have read and I loved it. Asher and Izzy were so good together. The chemistry between them was so good. I am typically not a fan of love triangles but this was written so good. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

3.75 Stars –Too sweet for my taste
This is the third book in the series. It can be read as standalone. This book is about Asher and Izzy.
Izzy’s ex-boyfriend was Asher’s Bother. After she broke up with Jessie (Asher’s brother) eight years ago, Asher and Izzy meet in Vegas and have an whrilwind one night stand. They part ways with bad tone. Now after one year they have come face to face.
Isabella is a nurse in a hospital and losses her job and now searching for new one. Asher is a Rockstar, trying to find his own name in music industry, is now suffering from a Block in his career and struggling to overcome that. Now at this point after one year of Vegas trip they come face to face because of Jesse.
Now a year later, she’s thrust back into Asher’s world when her ex-fiancé Jessie reaches out to her for help. Can she remain neutral and act like nothing happened? This story is full of angst! The push and pull that Izzy does with Asher is too much for me. Feeling what Izzy endures, recognizing her fears, watching her grow as a woman in life and in love, in confusion about love, will have your heart warm. They both love Jesse so much that they don’t want to hurt him.
There’s some mystery/suspense in this story that had lot of potential, but Author made this book as full of romance, which is too sweet for my taste. I loved the twisted mystery/suspense part of the book. Its about Izzy’s birth mother and how and why she abandoned her. That part in the end totally came as a surprise to me.
Some over the top Sweet dialogues
“Home isn’t a place. It’s a feeling. And when I’m with your father, I’m home”.
True love will always come back like a boomerang!
Story and pace of the book goes in a study pace except a big jump near the last 20%. I was more intrigued by Lincon and Chole. Jesse was ok. Izzy’s and Asher’s parents and Asher’s gram was sweet and caring. They showed a picture of normal loving family.
All in all, this is a nice second chance romance read and as author said true love will always come back like a boomerang!
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review.
I’ve been waiting for this story between Asher and Izzy, it’s been a long time coming. So many emotions, push and pull between them, heartache, heartbreak, secrets and lies, but it didn’t start out that way. The first time these two saw each other there was a spark egnited between them and Asher never got the chance to approach Izzy due to interference. Izzy, is sweet, fun, beautiful, but carries the pain of adoption and not understanding why she was abandoned which makes her think she can’t trust anyone, truly give her heart to anyone because she’s afraid they will leave, so she leaves first. A chance meeting years later ignited the spark again, should we, shouldn’t we, it all boils down to the fact she was once engaged to Jessie, Asher’s brother, but whatever is between her and Asher has never died. Did she truly love Jesse or was he just comfortable and a way to still see Asher? So many questions, so much left unsaid between Asher and Izzy and Jessie, I can’t say anymore or I’ll spoil it for you. This book was amazing, their story will make you want to throw your kindle and scream at the choices she makes, but you can only hope that live wins in the end. I can’ freaking wait for Nora’s book! I found this book on BookSprout.
Loved this book! I was sad when I turned the last page! I wanted more! Note of all the characters in this book! Loved the storylines! Some tough subject matter but such a good ending! Can’t wait to read the next girls story!
wow what amazing heart feel paints the story emional read that will have you heart beating faster and loving the words coming off the pages.
This is a beautifully written heartbreaking love triangle between Izzy, Asher and his brother Jesse. Izzy was previously engaged to Jesse but broke it off because it just did not feel right to continue when she had strong feelings for his brother Asher. Not wanting to come between the two brothers Izzy leaves them both behind and moves to New York.
Eight years later she is in Las Vegas on a hen party weekend with three friends. Getting fed up of the crazy antics of the bride-to-be and her sister Izzy finds herself in an Irish bar where to her total surprise musician Asher York appears on stage. Izzy tries hard to hide herself but Asher has seen her and they spend the evening reconnecting over drinks and food. As they part company the attraction between them is more than palpable and Asher begs her to keep in touch.
A cancelled flight and a total blackout means there is no turning back from the inevitable and they spend the night together. Next morning Jesse arrives on the doorstep and Izzy is brought back to reality, she cannot come between the two brothers so she heads back to her life New York.
Asher and Izzy meet again at his Gram’s house a year later when Jesse asks her to help Asher with his songwriting block. As they spend more time together it is impossible for them to deny their feelings but how can they move forward and find happiness without damaging the relationship between the two brothers. As they go one step forward they go two steps backwards and it seems like nothing will ever be resolved.
There is so much intense emotion in this story it had me almost in tears in some parts. I was anxious and hurting for all three of the main characters but luckily we had the amazing Grams to add some comic relief. I was really unable to figure out which way the story was going to go and whether it would have a truly happy ending and T.K. kept us guessing all the way.
This book my first read from this series and indeed T.K. It had me so enthralled that I had to go back and read the other ones. I was happy to find a new writer as well as a new amazing book series.
Well… T.K. Leigh must’ve done her job extremely well, because my heart HURTS after reading this angsty, forbidden romance. I fell for this couple while reading their prequel novella, Mind Games (not essential reading, but it will DEFINITELY influence your opinion of the story). The chemistry jumps off the page and the connection Asher and Izzy share is undeniable. If you’re a fan of forbidden romance and enduring chest pains from the sheer weight of the angst, this is the book for you.
The story follows Izzy and Asher one year after their ill-fated one night stand in Vegas (as depicted in Mind Games). They got to know each other years ago… while Izzy was dating, then engaged, to Asher’s brother. That relationship didn’t work out because Asher always held a piece of Izzy’s heart, but she was unwilling to acknowledge that and destroy the brothers’ relationship with each other. Instead, she’s chosen to ignore her feelings and move on with her life. That becomes impossible when Asher’s brother calls up Izzy with a request that she spend some time helping Asher rediscover his muse, not knowing the full extent of what he’s asking.
Did I absolutely love every part of this book? No. At times the push/pull between Asher and Izzy got to me, but I was always completely invested in seeing them find their HEA. There is also one minor subplot towards the end that had me scratching my head, but the rest of the book was really fantastic. It held my attention from start to finish and kept those pages turning. I think it bears mentioning that your reading experience will be completely different if you read the prequel – in ways that are both good and bad. Good because that’s where you really feel the chemistry between Asher and Izzy, as well as understand the foundation of the relationship better. Bad because there’s a little overlap between the two, and because Dangerous Games starts off feeling like a love triangle, which is uncomfortable when you know just what Izzy is hiding from both men. Whether or not you want to read it is really your choice; the story will make sense either way. Ultimately, this is not a flawless read but the quality of the writing and the depth of emotion easily pushes this into 5-star territory.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book will rock your world with an emotional overload. This story quickly captures your mind and tugs at your heart. Asher and Izzy’s romance is an angst filled, back and forth dance of desire and doubts. I enjoyed this book but honestly Izzy was just too wishy-washy for me. You are either in or out; if you play the middle to long you are just hedging your bets and I found that annoying.
Holy angst,Batman!
This book was intense. From the beginning it’s was angst, angst and get this, more angst. I felt so frustrated, but you should have seen me when everything fell into place. So totally worth it.
TK Leigh did it again. I fell in love with her characters and Asher is all mine. #dibs.
