In “Dangerous Desires”, we pick up right where we left off and as Eva’s whereabouts unfold, we are introduced to new players and motives that brought another level of action, suspense and intensity that kept me thoroughly engaged throughout this book. I just adore Naz and Eva! Theirs is a fierce love and devotion, which will stop at nothing to protect and save one another. Both have strong yet complementary personalities, and the teasing and banter between the two had me smiling because it made their relationship much more real and down-to-earth, even though there is danger all around them. And just when you think they are out of arms’ reach, Naz and Eva get sucked back in again, only to lead to another crazy cliffhanger that will make you yearn for the final installment of this romantic suspense.
What a remarkable follow up to book one, Dangerous Beauty. The danger for Eva is amped up and new players are introduced but no matter what is going on the relationship between Eva and Naz gets stronger all the while keeping to their casual and playful banter amidst everything they plan to face.
I love how strong Eva is. She’s been through so much and all that had made her the woman she is now. Smarter, wiser and more prepared for what’s to come.
Naz is so swoon-worthy when it comes to his feelings for Eva. He loves her with everything he is and is ready to do what ever it takes to protect her.
With another jaw dropping ending, we’re left sitting on the edge of our seat for the conclusion to their story. I can tell the danger will only be more than we’ve seen in the first two books and Eva is is way more danger than anyone expected!! I can’t wait
Book 2 in the Dangerous Beauty series is as intense, violent, sexy, and frustrating as hell as book 1. Eva has made a deal with the devil but something has gone awry, and she pays a high price. Poor Naz wakes up in the hospital and has no idea what has occurred. Naz is the draw to this series for me. He is sexy, loyal, protective, and honorable, and goes though hell, again, for his woman. If the cliffhanger in book 1 was frustrating to readers, this cliffhanger will probably have you screaming like me. I can’t wait for book 3 and what I hope is a very believable explanation for this cliffhanger ending. If you haven’t read Dangerous Beauty yet, you must, and then pick up Dangerous Desires immediately upon finishing. This author’s writing is fantastic, and she has very quickly become one of my Amazon one-click authors. I received an ARC of this book through NetGalley, and this review is done voluntarily and the opinions shared are my own.
“Without all our scars, we wouldn’t be who we are. We wouldn’t be able to understand each other the way we do.”
The action and suspense continues, introducing new players, but without the big finale. The author is building and building, keeping us on the edge of our seats, anticipating with positive hopes and negative fears. Yeah, the titles make sense, ‘dangerous’ is an understatement.
One thing that is very clear is that Naz and Eva are deeply in love. Unfortunately, that doesn’t solve all the world’s problems as advertised. Trouble is chasing them and it’s not looking good. “There’s only so much pain a heart can take before it breaks for good.”
Hopefully, the stars will align and there will be enough love to numb the pain and the memories of the past…and present. Fingers crossed. We won’t find out until Dangerous Games… or later.
Bottom line, this series keeps getting better!!! Maybe it’s the cliffhangers, but I can’t get enough of Naz and Eva!!! The second book of Naz and Eva’s story is not your typical hero romance, similar to the first book. Although it has all the sexy hot scenes and steamy sarcastic dialogue we all know and love J.T. Geissinger for, it is more of an action romance or dramady (I’m going to date myself and say similar to “Moonlighting” or “Remington Steele”). I would love to watch Naz and Eva on the silver screen 😉
I enjoyed the second installment of this story and look forward to its conclusion. Especially with how Eva’s new predicament will be handled.
Oh my goodness! This one starts right where the first book ends (which ends at in a cliffhanger) when Eva left to save Naz’s life and ends up kidnapped. This brings in another player in this romantic suspense and since there is so much going on and I do not want to give anything away I will just say there is hang on because there is a roller coaster of a ride ahead and lots of banter. Bring on book 3!
5 STARS for Dangerous Desires by JT Geissinger
ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own & have not been influenced in any way.
This book is not a stand-alone & I highly recommend that you read Book #1 Dangerous Beauty. It also does not end in a HEA but instead has a WOW – WOWZER of a cliffhanger. You will certainly want to read Book 3 Dangerous Games ( avail on NG with a release date of Nov 19 )
This book picked up immediately from Dangerous Beauty with Eva again on the run. In order to protect Naz she does what she thinks is best & escapes his protection in order to keep him safe. She believes she has sold her soul back to the devil and is returning to her abuser Dimitri. There is a new character on the scene the reader does not know the exact connection to Eva (& Naz) but we are aware he believes some things that are simply not true about her …
This book was really INTENSE & many of us are HOPING Killian will be getting his own story. He is fascinated by Eva as we all are – but will this fascination compromise her relationship with Naz ?
I read this book in one sitting & can’t wait to delve into approved Netgalley ARC of Dangerous Games !!!
Highly recommend this author & series. This book is so well written with some amazing plot twists as well as shining a spotlight on domestic abuse. Dimitri is pure evil I am really hoping he gets what’s coming to him in the 3rd & final installment in this series !!
This is second in the series and you HAVE to have read the first to really understand what’s going on in this one. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, and was very much looking forward to this one. Unfortunately, the banter from the first book that I loved so much just wasn’t really present in this one. Also, despite all the action, I felt like nothing really happened. It was like a lot of spinning of wheels with no traction for the plot and ultimately, I found Killian more interesting that Naz or Eva this time around. I definitely want to see how the story concludes, so I’ll be checking out the final book for sure.
I was lucky enough to receive the ARC for this book that I was dying to get my hands on after reading Dangerous Beauty. This is the 2nd book of the 3-book trilogy, so you must read Dangerous Beauty before getting to this one to understand the background story.
Dangerous Desires picked up immediately from where book 1 left off. I was already in love with Eva in book 1, and now her characters were even more emphasized. In addition to her breathtaking beauty, she possessed an immense amount of strength and courage, and a witty sense of humor. I admire her intelligence, her kindness, her optimism in the goodness of people, and her willingness to sacrifice for those she loved, given how much she had endured under Dimitri’s control. Her love for Naz has given her even more courage to return to face off Dimitri and to protect Naz as best as she could.
From book 1, we knew that Naz was fiercely protective of Eva. After being separated from her, he almost lost his mind and would jump into any opportunity to get to her. It is understandable that he did not want to let Eva go back to the tiger den and suffer more in the hands of Dimitri. Their reunion was all so sweet, and filled with sizzling hot and intense emotional moments, with both serious conversations and witty banter. We could tell they were made for each other from the way they loved, protected, and read each other’s mind.
In addition to the awesome Tabby (whom I have a huge girl crush on since Wicked Sexy) and Connor, this book also introduced a new player, a mysterious spy named Killian. In the beginning, I could not decide whether I should like or trust him. But eventually, as the story unfolded, I think I was falling in love with him for his badassery, his coolness, and surprising sense of humor. The initial tension between Killian and Naz was eventually replaced by the mutual understanding and admiration for the other. And it will be an exciting journey to see how these two team up together in the upcoming book.
Once again, I fall in love with JT’s beautiful words and her gifted talent in developing interesting characters. She could seamlessly weave in hilarious thoughts in an intense situation. Her story plots are always intriguing and full of surprises. There will be a major cliffie at the end of this book, so get ready for it! I can’t wait to read the last book of this series which undoubtedly will be an epic conclusion for this wonderful journey!
Holy WOW… and I thought the first one was awesome. I’m not usually one for books with CLIFFHANGERs, but I’ve got to admit that this series is fantastic. JT Geissinger’s writing is so engrossing, drawing you into this suspenseful thrill ride. The last book started off Eva and Naz’s journey with playful banter and sizzling chemistry followed by plenty of action (and I don’t mean between the sheets, though this slow burning couple has no issues there). This one starts with the heavy and slowly moves back to the light… only for the action to kick in as we are left awaiting the final installment in the series.
I’m not going to share many plot details here – if you’ve read the first book you already know how fantastic the series is. If you haven’t… DO IT. You will not enjoy this book unless you’ve read the first installment. That being said, I LOVED the new lead introduced here. It took awhile to warm up to him (and no one will ever take Naz’s place in Eva’s heart), but I am hoping he gets his own happily ever after… just not with Eva. Read the book if you want to know what I mean. Thank you, NetGalley, for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. The wait for the third book is going to feel long, but Eva and Naz’s story won’t soon be forgotten.
This book started off right where book 1 ended, and it did not disappoint! This series is the first I’ve read from this author, and it is great! One of the most intense stories I’ve read! I can’t wait to read the next one in this trilogy!
Dangerous Desires is book two in the Dangerous Beauty trilogy by J.T. Geissinger, and let me tell you that this fabulous series just keeps getting better and better!
Dangerous Desires starts up right where the previous book left off, and it was such an amazing page-turner. Fast-paced, cleverly written, and well executed, this is by far the best, and the most gripping story I have read in a while. Brilliant, just brilliant!!
This book was so freaking amazing, and full of surprises. I loved following Eva and Naz’s journey, and since I like to keep it spoiler free, all I’m going to say is buckle up, because this is going to be a wild ride.
I higly recommend this awesome series. Can’t wait for Dangerous Games – Book #3 .
This ARC was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
However, I purchased my audible version of it and it was UTTERLY AMAZING, and Brilliantly performed by Aiden Snow & Lidia Dornet, and deserves 5 STARS!!
Naz is in the hospital after the events that happened at the end of Dangerous Beauty. But no fear, he’ll live, AND he’s got his beautiful Eva by his side. Except not. She’s gone and Naz knows where. To sacrifice herself to save him because she loves him as much as he loves her. Which is why Naz is going to move heaven and earth to find his soul mate. Thank God for his team, because he’s got to stop her before she gives herself to Dimitri to save Naz.
“I’m in love. I’m so fucking in love. If I lose her, it will end me.”
Whew, I thought Dangerous Beauty was crazy suspenseful and hot, but Dangerous Desires has got it beat, hands down! Their chemistry is even hotter here, their banter is even funnier and wittier, but best of all, Naz and Eva are truly in love in this second installment, and they’re both setting out to prove it. But there’s so much going on – not just the evil, controlling Dimitri, but a new player in their world, one that Naz despises but who may end up being an ally, and then there’s an even more crazy cliffhanger than the one that Dangerous Beauty left us with, and now I’m seriously impatiently awaiting for the day that Dangerous Games lands on my Kindle, because I must know what happens next!!! I want Naz and Eve to freaking finally get their happily ever after! They need to catch a break and just be allowed to be happily in love without outside forces trying to tear them away from each other. Sigh…is it November yet?!?
“I love her so much in this moment, everything I was before is incinerated. I came into this room one man, but I know I’ll emerge from it another, a baptism of love so hot it’s a fire that scorches me to the bone and leaves whatever I was before a smoking pile of ashes to be blown away by the wind.”

Reviews by the Wicked Reads Review Team
Ruthie –
This is the second book in a trilogy – you have to read book one to have any hope of understanding the underlying plot! I assume that you have in my review.
There is a special kind of masochism involved in reading the second book in a trilogy… you absolutely want to move on from the cliffhanger that you were left on in book one, but at the same time you know going in that you are going to be super frustrated by the end, as it won’t be the end either… that said, I am clearly such a person, as there was no way that I could have this installment and wait until the final one is released!
First, let me reassure you that this is just as well written and tightly plotted as the first. There is that constant feeling that we should be looking over our shoulders and checking out who is watching, who is listening, and who will cause the most damage next. Obviously Dimitri is the overarching danger, but now we meet Killian, who is the ultimate wild card – such violence, yet…
By the end it is difficult to believe that this all started on an idyllic holiday island, but Naz and Eva are solid – even if their desire to save each other sometimes clouds their common sense.
Grab a copy, devour it, and, like me, sit and wait patiently for the final book in the series, as things need to work out, but how will it all end?

I’m dead. Or, at least, I think I am. It’s so bad, but it’s soooooo sooooo good.
Book 2 of J.T. Geissinger’s Dangerous Beauty series started off where our appetites were whetted in Book 1. Eva was abducted and locked up on a voyage cruise ship (not a bad way to stay in when kidnapped, btw). Naz is scrambling to find her, while into the story enters the mysterious Killian. He beats Eva up pretty badly, but shows a contrasting personality to his captive.
Geissinger holds an eerie power with her words. She made me giggle, sucked me into her fictional Mission:Impossible type of world, and left me bereft at the end of “Dangerous Desires.” One thing I must admit, however, is that I found there to be certain portions that were a bit OTT, a.k.a. cringy. Like, the instance when Eva confronted Killian at the time they met and she dropped a line that was so Hollywood-ish, I couldn’t help rolling my eyes at how unbelievably ballsy naive-sounding the lady was. Anyone else in her position would just crumble up and bawl their eyes out. She was, like, (and I’m paraphrasing here) “I’m not afraid of you. You can do anything you want. I’m immune, because I’m saving the man I love.” Ugh! Bleh. There were sporadic cheesy lines like this all throughout, too, but after a while, I kinda got used to them. Naz was such a softy. He’s characterized as an alpha-male, but man, he’s whupped. Good whupped, though, ‘coz he actually sounds angelically romantic with a bit of He-Man complex thrown in. Geissinger showed the characters’ humanity throughout their story. They agonized, they cried, they laughed, they teased, they loved. I still think that if they were in real-life, there’d be waaaaay more drama in this, but, thankfully, Geissinger spares us from reading about reality and allowed us to escape into another world where ballerinas can face up against physically abusive terrorist lovers, spies, kidnappers, murderers, alpha-male ex-military bodyguards, etc.
Admission #2: I thought this was gonna be MFM. #sorrynotsorry
It’s not.
Admission #3: *Sigh* Book 3, Dangerous Games, where art thou? November seems like it’s still 10,000,001 light years away. DON’T KILL KILLIAN OFF, beeteedubs. He’s a potential new book hero. Anyhoo, I’ll stop here, lest I continue drooling obsessively over Naz and Eva.
Evi and Naz story continues in the second book and no it doesn’t end with this one this also ends with a cliffhanger. The story is witty and funny like the previous it has some unexpected twist and one new interesting character that juices up the story. The relationship with Naz and Evi evolves becomes deeper and their love stronger. I enjoyed reading the story but I do miss that it doesn’t have an end and that I have to wait for another book.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
Whoa! Strap yourselves in for this rollercoaster ride, everyone! It’s a doozy! Going to preface my review by stating that this is Part 2 of 3. If you haven’t read Dangerous Beauty which is Book 1 then go no further. There will be spoilers ahead since this is a continuing storyline with the same hero and heroine. Now…on to the good stuff. This book picks up right where we left off in Dangerous Beauty…with Eva surrendering herself to the enemy to save Naz. It’s here that we see the emergence of a new character in Killian. Aaaaaah Killian…..the baddest of the bad-asses, not a nice guy by any stretch of the imagination but dangerously intriguing. His motivations become clearer as the book progresses but for most of it he was attractive in a scary, mysterious kind of way. He’s a wild card…and Eva’s captor. When Naz discovers that Eva is gone he flies right into action. He is going to get his woman back and that’s it. I have such a girl crush on Eva. She is the first to admit she is not physically strong enough or trained in weapon use to defeat her enemies. But she is smart and intuitive and resourceful enough to find her way around obstacles. I will admit I was worried that with the way the storyline was going, that for most of the book Eva and Naz would be apart but this was not the case. And their moments together were wonderful. Lots of witty dialogue and romantic moments that were smoking hot, poignant and beautiful. My favorite quote:
” I love you more than I’ve ever loved anything in my life. More than I thought was even possible. I would kill for you. I would die for you. And I swear there’s nothing in this world or out of it that will ever separate me from you again.”
In this installment we get more insight into Dimitri’s end game and it is every bit as horrific as you would think. Can he be stopped? At this point we can only hope since our final installment, Dangerous Games, is a few months away. Excellent book! Pretty much read in one sitting since I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I am loving everything about this series and eagerly anticipating the final chapter. And Killian? Well…..don’t think I would mind a book or two for him down the road…

In the previous book, I was surprised by the cliffy. I can’t say I didn’t know what I was getting into this time. And I’d do it again because, holy crap, that was a wild ride and I loved it! This one picked up where Dangerous Beauty left off. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book. I can’t get enough of these characters and can’t wait to get book three in my hands so I can find out how all of this plays out.
4 1/2 stars
Dangerous Desires finishes on a pretty epic cliffy ending that has me dying to get my hands on the final book in the Dangerous Beauty series. I’ve already looked up Dangerous Games to see it releases in November, so not a long wait to see what happens next for Eva and Naz!!!
Poor Eva – she escaped from one crazy nut job in Dangerous Beauty, only to be abducted by another in Dangerous Desires. Killian was such an interesting character. He was pretty brutal towards Eva initially and completely unpredictable with his actions, but it quickly becomes apparent that there is more to him than the first impressions of him being hired muscle.
So much great banter between all the characters in the storyline – Eva and Naz, and even between Naz and Killian. Poor Naz, he is under a lot of pressure between all his worry over Eva, and having to deal with Killian as well. Eva is such a strong and determined character, even after all that she has been through at the hands of Dimitri. After that cliffy ending, it’s obvious she is going to need all that strength and determination in Dangerous Games. I cannot wait to read book 3 and see what happens next for Eva and Naz (and Killian).
