A beautiful fugitive. A hot bodyguard. A high-stakes game of temptation.For Nasir, former Special Ops military man and bodyguard, his new job seems like an easy-money gig: trail a Russian mobster’s runaway wife in Mexico, enjoy the sun, observe, and report. Just one rule: don’t get too close. But it’s all Naz can do not to watch the alluring dancer’s every move. A closer look is … look is irresistible—especially when she’s in trouble.
Evalina escaped to the island getaway to live an untraceable life—as far away from the past as she can get. But Eva can’t ignore the dark, muscled stud who rescues her from a drug gang. He says he’s an ex-cop on vacation. When providence throws them together time and again, Eva thinks it’s all a beautiful coincidence. Now she’s giving in to a strange new sensation: trust.
But Naz has a mission to accomplish and a secret to keep. Eva has her share of secrets, too. And as the heat flares between them, Naz knows that trust could become the most dangerous impulse of all.

is part one of a three part series by J.T. Geissinger and I couldn’t be more HOOKED! It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Geissinger’s work, and when I immersed myself into Nasir and Evalina’s story, I knew it was going to be a sexy, emotional, and breath-catching ride. With this being just the beginning, I loved how even though this was sexy and suspenseful, there was plenty of comedic relief between our main characters, Naz and Eva. They traded sarcastic and flirtatious barbs like they were going out of style, but I absolutely LOVED it! Since this is only part one, it does end in a heart-pumping cliffhanger, but it just got me even more excited for the next part! I adored the hero and heroine, as well as, the secondary characters in this story, and I can’t wait to see what adventure Geissinger brings us on next! I’m ecstatic to continue the journey to Naz and Eva’s happily ever after!
Cliffhanger alert! Proceed with caution! With that out of the way, this was one GREAT book and even though I really try not to get sucked into a cliffhanger except with certain authors who turn around with the next book quickly, I’m really glad I requested and received this ARC. Eva is on the run from her abusive ex and she is mistakenly, blissfully unaware of the danger surrounding her. Sure, she feels she is being watched and Naz has to break his cover but in this small tourist island he could be a tourist. But he is not. They keep running into each other and soon a friendship develops and she is telling him about herself. When she tells him about the abuse she has left, he is ready to end his assignment. The boss, Connor, has other ideas until his wife, Tabby (love her), gets involved and when they discover all the evil ways of Dimitri the assignment is over and Naz and Eva are on their way back to New York. Yea, I told you a lot but there is so much more and I you have to read this one! Twists, turns, and so much goodness until we are left with that ending! Bring on book 2 NOW!
Dangerous Beauty is my first book by J.T. Geissinger, so I had no idea what to expect. I have heard many good things, but you honestly don’t know until you experience it yourself. I am more than happy to admit I thoroughly enjoyed it and I devoured it in just a few hours.
Well written with descriptions that capture everything vividly. From the characters to the scenery around them I felt like I was their, experiencing everything first hand.
The characters had depth and the banter between them was genuine and hilarious. I fell in love with Naz and Eva, who they were and who they will become. I loved the connection between them and their respective suffering only brings them closer.
Except Naz is hiding something big from her, and she senses it, no matter what he says. Will she continue to be strong and accept what he has to tell her? You will have to read it to find out! Definitely one of my favorite so far this year and the best part is there is still more of their story to come! It is not over! Action-packed with an eclectic cast if supporting characters that will leave speechless, you don’t what to let Naz and Eva pass you by. Definitely a five star read!
For starters, I hadn’t paid too much attention to the synopsis, so it was of no surprise that before the ending, I’d put two and two together and come up with the right answer. Dangerous Beauty isn’t a stand-alone but believe you me, I have no regrets reading this book with its dramatic cliffhanger. It’s also been a long while since I’ve had such a strong urge to stamp on my Kindle! Okay, so maybe that’s taking it a tad too far but after connecting with the author’s protagonists, all I wished for was closure, breathing space…a happy ever after! Obviously not to be, never mind…I can wait for the next installment. Ages since I’ve read a book by this author, to say her latest offering captivated me would be putting it mildly. However, in the beginning, I had trouble getting a solid grasp of her plot as I found it a tad aimless. Could I have kicked my impatient self? Yes! It’s well-thought-out and more important, flows at an agreeable pace. The speed really picks up around halfway and from then on in, it’s a nonstop helter-skelter of emotions.
“You don’t have to get defensive, Naz. I wasn’t going to ask you to spill any juicy stories…”
Evelina is quite aware of her beauty without any pretentiousness. How it could bring one man down to his knees is another issue altogether. If she could crawl under a stone, her paranoid would be nonexistent but this is not the case. I liked this lass a hell of a lot. When her story unravels, ooh my… talk about putting my hands together and begging for a much-needed break in her heart-pounding nightmare for freedom isn’t in it. How she’d even continued to be a mere speck on earth was a blinkin’ miracle. What she’d been through literally made me gasp for air. Here is one very determined lady. She took a way out. She did everything in her power to make it work. Sensitive to the core, would her sixth sense be enough to survive?
“I won’t let my fear make the decisions.”
Naz. Blinking heck gals; get ahold of your panties ’cause he’s going to make wish he was yours! There’s little leeway for anything to wrong on a mission which should have been easy-peasy. Report back to whomever. Basically, everything’s under control until a fleeting circumstance. Honest to the core, guarding a secret could backfire on him in more ways than one. Why you might ask is this gorgeous hunk of a man who’s ripped like Adonis and has tats that’d make any woman swoon over in such a conundrum? Maybe he’s found his match and can’t walk the fine line of indifference. Both him and Evalina have a past. He’s willing to tell. Will this be enough for her to trust him? Many questions arise. Some are answered, others are left in the air.
‘Survival is simply the art of suffering gracefully when we’re up against forces out of our control.’
Evalina and Naz’s chemistry is like dynamite ready to explode from the word go. And what I really lapped up was the back-and-forth ribbing verging on the sublime. Their wordplay so light-heartedly dished out, came far too close to home at times. Was it possible that one wrong step would bring down even the best-laid plans? The twist and a half I certainly never saw coming. Perhaps I should have known better since one individual the reader isn’t supposed to like was always in the background and the cause of so much insecurity. Before, this person’s stance truly got me stumped and then it falls into place and I hated him with such a passion that I had to put the book down.
“Why is your heart hammering, Naz”
“Because you’re my crack and I’m an addict.”
It’s a very character-driven story. The secondary players are fan-bloody-tastic…except one, of course. And I wasn’t the only one to connect with Tabby and her hubs. Laugh-out-loud moments in a situation of utmost seriousness makes for good reading and I sincerely hope the author will throw light on their backstory in the follow-up. And so you have it, ladies! A really nail-biting read not to be missed but with no conclusion. Please take note that I haven’t awarded 5 stars simply because I thought Dangerous Beauty was a stand-alone. Nevertheless—I can’t wait to see how Naz and Evaline get out of this one. Bravo Geissinger!
By the way. Had to smile because Mount Gay rum with tonic water, lots of ice and a slice of lime is my poison!
“Good? No, it’s not good. It’s the best rum in the world.”
This book had me pulled right in at the first chapter, I needed more and couldn’t get enough. Evalina seems fearless, and on the run from her Terrible ex. Naz was sent out to keep an eye on her. But when these two happen to bump into each other or non accidentally bump into each other, the Sparks are flying. The mutual attraction is off the charts. I laughed thru a lot of this book, and turned pages faster then I have in a long time. I needed to know what happened and how this turns out. This is my first book by this author and defa won’t be my last, I absolutely loved this book, and dying for the next book in this series.
I have been anxiously waiting for this book since I read the bridge story, Hot as Sin. And I was not disappointed. Eva and Naz are freaking amazing. Naz (AKA Barney for the Bad Habits series) is bad a$$ special ops guy that is doing his best to do the right thing. Eva is sassy and guileless, despite her past, and everything Naz needs. I loved their ridiculous banter. Their chemistry is off the charts and make for an absolutely steamy read. I did not know that this would end on a cliffy, but I did not care. One book would not have done this story justice and Geissinger’s witting is absolutely worth the wait.
4.25 stars–DANGEROUS BEAUTY is the first instalment in J.T. Geissinger’s contemporary, adult DANGEROUS BEAUTY erotic, romantic suspense trilogy-a spin off from the author’s BAD HABIT series. This is former Special Ops military man and security specialist Nasir ‘Naz’ Mansouri, and Evalina ‘Eva’ Ivanova’s story line. DANGEROUS BEAUTY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. You do not have to have read the previous series to follow the current time line but I recommend reading HOT AS SIN for some background and cohesion to Nasir’s story.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Nasir and Eva) DANGEROUS BEAUTY follows the building relationship between former Special Ops military man and security specialist Nasir ‘Naz’ Mansouri, and Evalina ‘Eva’ Ivanova. Nasir Mansouri’s first assignment as a member of Connor Hugh’s New York Metrix Security Services is to follow Russian runaway Evalina Ivanova, a woman whose ‘husband’ is tired of her need to run. Contrary to everyone’s information Evalina is woman on the run from her abuser, a man with connections to the Russian Mafia. Living and hiding in Cozumel, Mexico, Eva will be rescued from a local gang by our story line hero. Unaware that Nasir has been hired to report on her whereabouts to the man in charge, Eva will begin to develop feelings for the mysterious man who seems to appear wherever she goes. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Nasir and Eva, and the potential fall-out when the truth is revealed, and Nasir’s life hangs in the balance.
Nasir Mansouri doesn’t do relationships but meeting Eva Ivanova stirs something deep within our story line hero. Having previously loved and lost, Nasir knows to get involved with a mark could end his career before it gets started. Eva Ivanova knows someone is watching her every move but struggles with her attraction to a man who may or may not be the enemy from home.
The relationship between Eva and Naz begins as a lie. Nasir is on assignment but Eva’s back story forces Nasir to go from stalker to protector within a matter of days. Having lived a life on the run, Eva’s attraction to, and want of Naz is questionable under the circumstances but loneliness is a b*tch, and our heroine is tired of always being alone. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
We are reintroduced to Nasir’s boss Connor Hughes and his wife Tabby West, who battle between personal friendships and business dealings as it pertains to Naz’s first assignment. Connor and Tabitha’s story can be found in WICKED SEXY (Wicked Games #2)
DANGEROUS BEAUTY is a story of secrets, lies, betrayal and abuse. The premise is fast paced and engaging; the romance is impassioned and seductive; the characters are colorful, energetic and driven. DANGEROUS BEAUTY ends on a cliff hanger-you have been warned.
Definitely my favorite read to date from this author. Absolutely loved the chemistry and banter between Naz and Eva. Drawn in from the beginning with the suspense and hooked until the end with the slow burn romance. That ending though!!!! Ahhhhh the wait will be torture! I highly recommend this book.
Naz has been hired to keep a watchful eye on Eva, a runaway wife, for her concerned husband.
Eva has escaped from a long term abusive relationship and believes that she’s one step ahead of her Russian captor.
As the relationship between Naz and Eva develops, it is quickly apparent that all is not as it seems!
This intriguing, fast paced novel hurtles the reader along towards a HEA with some twists and turns that only add to the experience.
However, keep your fingers crossed for a quick follow-up because it ends in a major cliffhanger!!
I like anything J.T. Geissinger writes. Some more than others. Ex Military hot alpha male (Naz) check. Strong, resilient wounded or abused female, (Eva) check. Suspense, not 100 percent sure what’s coming next (check) some hot sex (check). Some of it was laugh out loud funny, some of the jokes were a little repetitive and because I do have a fat bottom, it kept pulling me out and made me think of my own body. I didn’t want to be me, I wanted to stay in the story. And as everyone says, cliffhanger. I am disappointed in this cliff hanger, towards the end I saw it coming, I was thinking no, come on no. Will I get book 2? Absolutely, because I know J.T. will make it work my while. Thank you J.T. thank you Net Galley! All thoughts and opinions are my own and were unsolicited.
I love JT’s writing and I especially love that she writes different genres — not always doing the same thing over and over. This is my kind of read! She hit all the marks for me — suspense, mystery, intrigue, sexy alpha hero and strong, brave heroine. And a real page turner from the getgo! Holy smokes, I couldn’t put it down and now I’m counting the days until we get the second book in this series to see what the heck happens! I loved Naz (much better name than Barney — Naz suits him perfectly) and Eva is his perfect match and together they certainly start a flame. The chemistry between these two is off the charts — I loved everything about this book and can’t wait to read the continuing story of Naz and Eva! I would definitely recommend this book if you like contemporary romance with a mysterious twist. 5+ stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
I’ve been waiting for this story since I read the last Bad Habit book. I love Nazir/Barney! He’s always been a little mysterious and secretive. That just makes him more interesting.New job, easy money watching a rich guys runaway wife,NOT!! I love the back and forth dialog between Naz and Eva. That is the best part of a J.T. Geissinger book.Funny,suspenseful and hot!!! Am I happy this book ended in a giant cliff hanger? NO!! I am eagerly awaiting the next part of this story. I just hope it’s not a year before we get it.

Any book by J.T. Geissinger ends up being a delight for me and this one was no exception. To top that off, this is Barney’s book finally. To those of you familiar with the Bad Habit series, you already know Barney. He was the bodyguard for Nico Nyx and someone I’ve been wanting a book about. We did get a novella recently that featured him, but that just whetted my appetite and I needed more! In this one Naz(Barney) has his hands full guarding and watching a rich Russian man’s runaway wife. You can guess where this is going and that was the true delight here.
Naz now works for Connor from Geissinger’s Wicked Games series. Connor and his wife Tabby are also favorites of mine so I was happy to see them both play roles in this book. Naz is in Cozumel spying on Eva, a beautiful woman and wife to a Russian mobster. He’s only supposed to watch and not make contact, but when Eva almost gets killed by drug dealers, he has to save her. He slowly starts to realize that what he thinks he knows about Eva and what is really true are two vastly different things. The two are both hiding secrets from each other and the question is, what’s going to happen to their fledgling romance when all is found out-especially on Eva’s part?
First I want to talk about the banter. And boy was there banter for days. Geissinger might as well have a Ph.D in banter as far as I can tell. She’s the master of it and it was front and center in this read. I so enjoy good banter and Eva and Naz were superb at it. It helped keep me engaged and smiling throughout the read. Not that I needed anything else to keep me engaged. This read was full of romance, action, danger, and yes, even the scenery and beauty of Cozumel. The banter was the icing on the proverbial cake for me.
Characters? Of course, I loved Naz, although I kept thinking of him as Barney. I don’t even remember why he was called Barney in the other books because Naz is his real name. He was a popular, although peripheral character previously and I always thought he deserved his own book. The kicker is that this series is a trilogy and he’s in all of them. He’s a big man, fit, handsome, and before this was kinda quiet. Nothing quiet about this character when he’s with Eva. Eva was a strong character that you just know has grown from the way life has treated her. She may have been weak in the past, but now she is blossoming after meeting Naz. She’s beautiful and just happy to be free of her horrible life in Russia. She’s afraid to let her guard down or to trust, but we see that happen between her and Naz. Of course this book has a villain and he’s a doozy! Enough said.
My only problem with this story was the dreaded cliffhanger. But, even though I try to steer clear of cliffhangers, since Geissinger wrote this, I still would read it. I had no idea this ended that way so I was pretty shocked. I realize it was necessary for the trilogy, but I didn’t know it was a trilogy until I read it. That being said, I will definitely be continuing on with the series because I am totally invested in the story and characters. Of course, there’s not a book by her that I wouldn’t read as they are just so good!
Recommended to adult contemporary or romantic suspense readers. 4.25 stars!

Evalina Ivanova did the impossible. She escaped a monster, a man who did unspeakable things to her, a man who will never let her go. Living on the run, Eva is always looking over her shoulder, and she trusts no one. Until she meets a gorgeous ex-cop who makes her want things she never thought she could have. He makes her laugh and she feels safe whenever he is near… maybe her luck is finally changing…
Nasir Mansouri is working an easy job. Watch the spoiled runaway wife of his Russian employer, send pictures and updates, and never let her know she’s being followed. Easy. Until Eva runs into a little trouble and Naz comes to her rescue. Now that she can pick him out of a crowd, watching her from afar just turned into a complicated friendship, one that starts to mean so much more… until she finds out what he is really there for…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dangerous Beauty went from heart pounding drama to light and entertaining in one magnificent sweep after another. Eva and Naz’s slow burn romance is fraught with danger, deception and a once in a lifetime love that’s worth fighting for…
Eva is done with the abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex. Doing the impossible and successfully escaping his clutches, she will stop at nothing to avoid being captured by him, ever again. Finding a rare connection with Naz, she cherishes any small amount of time she gets to spend with him. Desperate for human connection, or even a friendship, she will take Naz in any way she can have him.
Naz thinks he is working an easy and straightforward job, until the truth comes out of just the kind of relationship Eva is running from. It isn’t long before he falls for her and finds that he is willing to risk everything to keep her by his side.
Eva was such an admirable woman, from the nightmare that she worked so hard to escape, to her determination to fight for herself, her strength spoke for her character from the very beginning. I loved how she never hesitates to say what is on her mind, she was always genuine and unabashedly straightforward.
Naz was sweet and incredibly protective. I was so happy that he tried to be as honest as he possibly could with Eva in the situation, and even when their relationship was progressing, he tries to keep things from becoming too entangled until Eva knows all the details that he has been keeping from her.
With a fun banter that lightened the mood when things got too dark, while this book touched on some disturbing subjects, it would quickly veer back into a more entertaining territory. Suspenseful, sexy and slow burning, Dangerous Beauty ended on a cliffhanger the left my heart in my throat and just a little bit of desperation for book two, Dangerous Desires.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
Wow when Naz was give the assignment to watch Eva and report back to Dimitri he was almost insulted, stuck babysitting a spoiled wife who ran away from home. In the weeks Naz watched her he became more and more intrigued by her and when he got to see up close what she was like he began to wonder what was going on. Eva is on the run hiding from Dimitri, a very bad man and when you hear what she did just to getaway from him you realize she meant business. Nas and Eva form a fast friendship and a growing attraction which is dangerous for them both but the teasing and fooling around makes both of their situations bearable if they can survive what’s coming. This book ends in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read what is going to happen in their lives next, great story love the characters.
Interesting and intense first part of the story between Eva and Nasir. Nair has his first job at the new agency and it is to keep an eye on the escaped wife. But after few month Nair cover is almost blown away when his path is crossed with Eva and they get to know each other. After many lonely days, Eva is prepared to let Nair in his life and lucky for her faith makes it happen that they run oft in each other. Attraction is instant so ist chemistry but Nasir is keeping a distance. After a quick time, they really get to know eachother and Nasir finds out that the client is not telling the truth. Nasir is prepared to do everything in his power to help Eva. When Nasir tells Eva the truth she doesn’t believe him even when he brings her to safety. But Demitri doesn’t want to leave Eva alone and after the attack, Eva knows what she has to do. I loved this witty funny communication between Nasir and Eva, their slow passion burning through the book. The story is well written and such a page-turner. Both characters are really well developed with troubled past but really great personalities. That is why it bothers me a little bit much that it ends with a cliffhanger and that we have to wait a little bit longer to see how this story will end.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly
This is such a good book! I love romantic suspense and I really enjoyed this one! This author has a way of drawing you right into her stories and holding you hostage with her wonderful words and characters and this is no exception. I felt so many different emotions reading it that I simply couldn’t put it down. I love Naz and Eva and their verbal sparring was hilarious and their chemistry is hot, sexy and through the roof!! Their story is not your average love story and that’s what makes it so good! This is a very intense story that ends when you really really don’t want it to. That’s right, it’s a cliffhanger and a steep one, but totally worth investing your time in. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next!!!!
I absolutely loved this book! The feelings that Eva and Naz have for each other and their struggles to get together draw you in and keep you rooting for them through all the danger, lies, and little bits of fun. This book gives you all the feels and keeps you reading way into the night to find out what will happen to Naz and Eva and if they will get their HEA. Great first in series book! Can’t wait for the next one!
Gah!!! That ending is a killer! This is a three part series and yes, it ends on a huge cliffhanger but it’s so worth it! I will be pouncing on book 2 when it comes out because book one was intense and left me wanting so much more.
Before things got really serious, we get to see Naz and Eva get to know each other in a way that I loved. They bantered back and forth and threw friendly insults at each other that had me laughing out loud. The creativity in their insults were hilarious.
Eva was refreshing because she wasn’t shy about asking for what she wanted. You learn she has a horrible past she is running from and she’s decided it was time to take her life back. Instead of cowering, she committed to really live. That wreaked havoc on Naz because he was suppose to just keep an eye on her at a distance.
If you’ve read the Bad Habits series, you will know that Naz is Barney, Nico’s bodyguard. He has moved on and hired on by Connor and Tabby’s security firm. Connor and Tabby are from the Wicked Games series and are in this book quite a bit. Their parts really added to my overall enjoyment of this book.
I’m going to leave it here cause I hate to spoil anything. I loved Naz and Eva and will be anxiously waiting for book 2.
* 5 heartstopping stars *
J.T. Geissinger once again proves why she belongs on everyone’s must-read list with her latest story Dangerous Beauty. While the story reads as a standalone, it is interconnected with two of her other 5-star series (Bad Habit and Wicked Games) so fans will be especially thrilled to see several beloved characters appear. But if you haven’t read the other stories, have no fear! Because Nassir (Barney from the Bad Habit books), the main character is starting a new job, we see his first interactions with the Wicked Sexy characters (Connor and Tabby!!!) so it reads as if they are first being introduced, making a smooth transition for new readers. Geissinger is known for creating worlds that are unique and exciting. Her unparalleled storytelling bridges both of the aforementioned series into one amazing world that will blow readers away.
Geissinger’s characters are always strong and independent and those in Dangerous Beauty are no exception. Nassir, aka Naz is intense. He’s ex-military and this creates an air of mystery around him. He’s protective, dangerous, addictive, romantic and deliciously sexy. I loved his dark, dry sense of humor—it was befitting for this enigmatic man. Eva is strong, independent, beautiful and a true survivor. She harbors a dark, horrific past that has shaped who she is. Together, Naz and Eva share a connection that is both fun yet dangerous. Their witty banter is perfectly delivered. I found myself laughing out loud one moment and sitting on the edge of my seat with utter anticipation the next. Geissinger builds their relationship veeeerrrrrryyyyy slowly until readers are left gasping at the major cliffhanger that is dropped at the end. This one I didn’t see coming and initially I was ready to throw my Kindle, but am so glad that Geissinger wrote it that way because Naz and Eva have so much story left to be told! Knowing the author, the cliffhanger will be well worth the wait as the payoff will be sublime.
Dangerous Beauty is a thrilling, exciting and sexy. Geissinger delivered in spades with this fabulous story! 5 stars!
