Hunter is a member a motorcycle club, he likes the lifestyle and had no desire for an old lady..
That is, until Holly comes in one night for a drink. She wanted to experience a biker bar first hand to help complete her thesis. The attraction is mutual and electric, but is she ready for everything that comes with this kid of life?
This is a contemporary, action packed, steamy hot romance filled with great characters. The characters are well defined, with complex personality, complete with varying moral compasses. It was interesting to see what is considered acceptable for the bikers versus the mainstream population. It was also revealing to see how abuse was handled within and outside the group. The reaction and solutions were somewhat extreme yet fit within the describe culture. This book was like a glimpse into another world. The narrative was great giving wonderfully done descriptions of events and scenery as well as providing insight into the feelings and motivations of the characters. The dialogue is gritty and uses language consistent with the biker group. The storyline flowed along smoothly and quickly, full of action, danger, emotional drama, steamy hot scenes, romantic gestures and suspense. I found myself engaged in this book and read it in one sitting. If you like bad boys and osteamy romances with some grit, you will certainly enjoy this book.

Good MC read with steam and twists
—>>> Poised to complete her journalism degree, Holly sets out for real-life experience at an out-of-town bar and meets Hunter, the Sergeant at Arms for the local Knights of War MC. When a more-than-she bargained-for encounter there ends up with Holly fleeing the biker bar, it is up to Hunter to personally smooth over the episode and make retribution before she can paint them in a bad light publicly, something his MC does not need at the moment.
Alyssa Breck’s Dangerous Affiliations (Knights of War MC Book 1). Loved reading this gritty MC story of the Knights of War. The storyline is dramatic and suspenseful. Hunter and Holly are well developed characters. The chemistry is hot. It’s keeps you turning the pages to read what happens next. Hope to read more of this series with the other Knights. A job well done!!

Wow, Holly is writing a paper for graduate degree in journalism. When she goes to a bar where the Knights Of War own, she is questioned by Hunter who starts to question her on why she is there. She gives just as much attitude as Hunter gives her, but when she goes to the bathroom, stuff hits the fan. Can Hunter stop her from printing abut what happened? Then she is just having bad luck when ever they meet. What is going on? Can Hunter save her? Does Hunter and his gang even care, except not to have anything bad printed about them? What will Holly do to get her article? What will she do to protect herself? What is the secrets that her and Hunter hide?

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
I must admit that I haven’t read many MC books, as they are not normally my style of book.
Saying this I did enjoy this book and the insight it gives into the life of being an “old lady” of a member of a club.
But also how a club operates, with having real jobs, while doing shady deal’s in the background.
I loved Holly from the start and how feisty is, and how she fights for what she knows is right, and is hers.
I’d definitely recommend this book to anyone, as like I said before, I don’t normally read this genre but enjoyed it

Hunter, the protective man he is ,tracks her down, bullets and sparks fly.
Will Holly be able to deal with the MC life.

Holly had no idea that stepping into the biker bar to gain real life experience for her journalism masters degree would change her whole world. As the Sergeant at Arms for the Knights of War, Hunter takes cares of problems and Holly writing about a bad experience at their club is definitely a problem. As Hunter and Holly get closer they discover their lives are entwined in unexpected ways. This is a great intro to a new MC series and I look forward to reading the next one. This was the first book that I have read from this author and it was well worth the read! The great character and plot development kept me totally engaged as the story developed between Holly and Hunter! I look forward to reading more from this author!
A biker story with a difference !
by sewsummore
A biker story with a difference and an amazing cast of characters, this book made an entertaining read. Many of the club were ex military who found returning to civilian life difficult. They took care of their own and when Holly became involved with Hunter, she was taken care of as well. The club had ideals and stuck to them, they fund raised for charity and the members became family. I especially liked Holly, she was a member of a wealthy family but she had scars not unlike those of the returning veterans, the past made her strong and a worthy partner for Hunter.

Holly is a brave young woman willing to go out on a limb to get the story but that gets her into a situation that could have gone so terribly wrong but this is no shrinking violet and has no problem standing up for herself. Hunter is tasked with tracking her down and making sure that she doesn’t feature their MC in a story. Only things don’t go as planned and what happens might just make the situation worse all round. But things may not quite be what the seem. I loved Holly and Hunter together, I couldn’t have thought of a more perfect pairing if I tried.

This is a great storyline. Very strong alpha males and steamy sex scenes. This book shows that you can’t judge a person by the way they look. Alot of fun scenes and some very sober ones also. Couldn’t put it down

A new series called Knights of War MC a well written story that kept me turning pages. This is Holly Farris who has a really bad dad and the ex-Army Ranger-turned-enforcer for an outlaw motorcycle club Hunter McKay. There is drama, danger, twists, turns, and romance a story I enjoyed reading. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Too late to stop the wanting. Too late to stop the lusting. Too late to stop the loving. Too late to stop too much- and far too close to danger and death for much of anything.
Sometimes love is a death sentence. Sometimes it is life. Maybe all the same thing ?

I received an ARC of this book through Booksprout, the first I’ve read from this author. It was good — better than average, but not outstanding. If you love motorcycle club books, you’ll probably like it a lot. I don’t have strong feelings about the genre, so I liked it, but I didn’t particularly grow attached to any of the characters. There were a couple of funny lines, like when Hunter thought to himself (in regard to a skanky woman): He wouldn’t f*ck her with Hem’s dick (Hem was a friend). And there was another observation which I don’t think I’ve ever heard in these words: Lesser beings are always drawn to the light. I feel like every child needs to learn that to protect themselves from people who will hurt them.
This steamy, one-day read, with well-developed characters and intricate plot, is about a newspaper reporter going for her master’s degree in journalism.
