Dangerous Play
Dangerous Play is the story of Nate Jiggur, an NFL football quarterback who is brilliant on the field and a player in real life. Hooking up is a game where he excels. He works harder to score with the women who tell him NO, because he feels the need to win. Then he meets Amanda. She isn’t interested in hooking up with Nate, even when he gives it his best shot. He has never been turned down and doesn’t handle the rejection well. Then Amanda’s father approaches Nate about a business deal and Nate makes him an offer that reveals a soft side he keeps hidden. When Amanda discovers his soft side, she is willing to give Nate a chance to show her who he really is.
This is a steamy romance with open bedroom door scenes and is for adult readers. The author has created characters with depths and flaws. This reader appreciated the effort she made to bring them to life. 5 stars!
Daring Play
I am perplexed about this book because of its plot. Diana is a jazz singer in a San Francisco club and Cody, a major league baseball player. They meet in the club where Diana sings and 2 worlds collide. She is a California girl and he is a country boy. For different reasons, they begin a game of one-upmanship regarding their relationship. I felt disconnected from the characters, although the secondary characters were very entertaining. The writing was good and I liked the premise of the story. For me, I just didn’t get sucked into this story and wasn’t a fan of Cody nor Diana. While there were sex scenes, they did not “feel” romantic. I have read several books by this author and, for me, this book was a letdown.
2 1/2 stars
Dirty Play
Dirty Play is the story of Rey, a MLB player, and Lynndia, a feminist who calls him out on his BS. There is a lot of explicit language and sex scenes scattered throughout the dialog between these characters. Overall, the plot of this book just didn’t grab me. Even though the characters did mature toward the end, I really didn’t like them very much. Both the H and h spent so much time trying to “one up” the other, that I just didn’t connect. The book is written well and I have enjoyed Romi Hart’s other books. This one just wasn’t to my taste.
3 stars
Romi Hart’s Dangerous: A Contemporary Romance Box Set shows how a talented author can take a genre – sports romance – and really run with it (or score with it, get a touchdown with it, etc.). These three books have two things in common: a hunky sports star (football QB and two base-ballers) and really great writing. I actually read them separately and couldn’t wait for each one. I will let you in on a secret: I don’t like the covers as they mislead one into thinking the guys here have no depth. They definitely do, as do each of the heroines. Their stories, however, are really unique and different, sharing only the commonalities of great writing and super lead and supporting casts. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. These three books definitely deserve it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that each book is most definitely “one to read”, and the set is easy to highly recommend.
If you like bad alpha sports heroes you will love this contemporary box set. The stories are hot, intriguing and captivates from page one. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this box set for an honest review.

COME FEEL THE SPARKS!!!
A wonderful read from the very beginning. I was captivated by the story and continuously found myself drawn to the characters. It was a nice plot and easy to follow. The characters had such chemistry that you could feel the sparks. In true Romi form the characters and their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The chemistry between the two main characters is sizzling. I loved they way they came together so smoothly. The scenes are so graphic and vivid it’s easy to picture each scenario as it plays off one another beautifully. Romi did an excellent job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Great job Romi.

Your heart is in deep once you pick up this bad boy. All the ups and downs, ins and outs, ups and downs, a few glitches and grinds make for an unpredictable experience. Talk about some crazy events but this one really got to me. Romi totally nailed this bad boy with such realism it rocked my world. Her characters and scenes are so realistic and believable. She writes with such passion that weaved into every page throughout the entirety. All the drama and suspense keeps you focused on the pages and frozen to your seat waiting for the next show to drop. ONE INCREDIBLY CAPTIVATING DELIGHT!!!
OMG! Romi never ceases to amaze me. Right when I think there’s no way she can top the last one. She hits it again. Romi is my kinda heroine. She calls ’em as she see’s ’em and takes us on a wonderfully exciting adventure that thrills us to no end. We’re wound so deeply in her imagination, mesmerized to all the frills and chills right along with the characters. Romi has a nack for delivering before we even ask. She’s bright, intelligent, gifted, intriguing and so talented she makes it look effortless without missing a beat. Romi carries her characters through all the trials and tribulations that hit hard and sewed right into the fabric of the weaves she’s sharing with us. Talk about bringing her characters to life before your eyes. It definitely feels that way. Your not stuck on the sidelines, nope, you’re right smack dab in the middle of ground zero. Once again Romi, you have left me awe struck. Magnificent job Romi, thanks for sharing your gift with us.
ARC review For honest review. Dangerous play-Amanda wins tickets to go see the Dallas cowboys while there she meets nate the quarterback playboy, arrogant, jerk . But when he comes into the family owned guitar world he knows he can’t hear the words No . Funny, cute and awsome book. Dirty play-Rey is a baseball player a rebel, a womanizer ,but a man with deep soul .Lydia is a feminist and she know what she wants ,but don’t know how to get there but when these two meet it like dynamite. Daring play -This book is about not judging a person by there cover get to know them first. I like Dianna and Cody characters. Diana is a singer at the Lamplight, known as the Ice Queen. She lives with a drag a queen, a rock-n-roll singer and two poet/actors. Cody is a rookie baseball player. Very cute
DANGEROUS PLAY
This is book one in the Dangerous series and it features Nate and Amanda. I struggled with all but the last chapter in this book. His attitude, the way he talked, his behavior, everything about him was a HUGE turn off. The last chapter was fantastic but unfortunately that’s not enough to carry the entire book. I understand the cocky, narcissistic attitude in these men that are at the top of their game, personally and professionally but this was taken to a more than extreme level. Some might like this type of leading man but it’s just not for me.
DIRTY PLAY
This is book 2 in the Dangerous series and it features Rey and Lyndia. In this book it was a little of the cocky, narcissistic attitude of Rey and a WHOLE LOT of this really strange man-hater attitude of Lyndia that I did not enjoy. I really didn’t like her character through most of the story. She was extreme in her opinions, obnoxious and unrelatable. As with the first book in this series, the fabulous last chapter is not enough to carry the whole book, I’m sad to say. Again, these type of characters are just not for me.
DARING PLAY
This is book 3 in the Dangerous series and it features Diana and Cody. Reading this book was a strange experience for me. I couldn’t connect with ANY of the characters but I couldn’t stop reading it. I felt like I had to finish reading it so that I could truly understand what was going on between these two people. Well, I read the entire story and still couldn’t figure them out. I did enjoy her quirky friends though.
Excellent boxed set of contemporary sports romances. Each book has unique characters that are jocks, playboys, and opposites they attract. Ms. Hart adds strong women characters that are also sensitive and loving. I received a complementary copy of this set and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
