Into the Danger Zone is exactly where this book is taking us. It is a faced paced, hot, steamy story that gets us in the heads of two Naval aviators during their training. But can Panther (Grant) and Solo (Mateo) keeps their heads in the game because there is one hell of a slow burn building between these two and I can wait for the explosion!
Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank have done it again! They have put their talent of writing scorching hot MM romance stories with characters that you can’t help but love all within a storyline that keeps you engaged from beginning to the end!
This book definitely leaves us hanging but I am excited to see where the next book in this series takes us!!
So much tension you will not want to stop turning the pages! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Panther and Solo meet the night before Elite training school and the sexual tension is off the charts! They both are the best of the best! Solo is mouthy and is not afraid to say and act the way he wants! Panther is the straight lace son of a former flight instructor! The tension between these two in and out of the classroom will have you turning the pages! It is a trilogy so you can only imagine that the end is not what you expect…..I need the next book NOW!
Danger Zone (The Elite Book 1)
When Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine write a book you know it will be worth the read and don’t forget all the hotness involved.
Danger Zone is no exception – enter Grant Hughes and Mateo Morgan both are attending the Academy for fighter pilots …
They get paired up and that is where the fun starts , well, it’s fun for Mateo as he provokes Grant at every possible moment ..
Mateo is hoping for a reaction from Grant …
The reaction comes in many forms from Grant …
There is so much lusting after each other it’s impossible to put the book down …
Fantastic banter between them , pushing and shoving into doors it’s all there and much more.
Waiting for book two now ….
This is another wonderful read by these talented authors .
In the spirit of Top Gun, this book kept my undivided attention on lockdown!
All I can say is WOW! I love these new guys! Panther and Solo are quite the dueling pair of hotshots. It may have taken them a little time to get there, which I’m grateful for, but man when they did- things literally went full throttle.
This book is scorching hot and halts with a cliffy that has me dying for the next book. Typical of the Ella and Brooke duo, the writing is seamless and the cliffy is a
nail biter!
4.5 stars
Two men meet and sparks fly, but one has the sense to walk away even after the other tries the hard sell. But they have no idea how their lives are about to change.
Grant “Panther” Hughes is serious, a perfectionist and rule follower, and under pressure to live up to his father’s expectations and be the best. He pushes down his emotions and tries to stay focused and disciplined, but does like the adrenaline rush to let loose.
Mateo “Solo” Morgan is arrogant, outspoken, cocky, impulsive, and reckless. He thrives on attention, knows what he wants, and has no shame in going after it. Trouble seems to follow him, but he is okay with it.
They are now partners in the elite flight academy in the Navy and only one can be the winner. Solo is on hot pursuit while Panther is trying to retreat and avoid. Solo is loud and proud, and Panther is professional and discreet. They might be the best, and they definitely challenge each other. The chemistry sizzles between them, but Panther is determined to avoid distractions and do well in the program. But Solo does not listen or follow rules very well.
This is full of tension, competition, rivalry, adrenaline, and fire. It’s pushing each other to their limits, performing tricky maneuvers, fighting for control, and bending of wills. I loved their flirtiness and fighting acting as verbal foreplay and ramping up the sexual tension. They are one combustible pairing.
But are they a mistake or meant to be?
The stakes are high, the risks are great, and acting on their impulses could cost them everything. And the cliffhanger will leave you in breathless anticipation of the next book. I did not see it coming! I cannot wait for more of these guys and their sidekicks.
Scorching hot sexual tension at its finest!!~Lana~White Hot Reads
Panther and Solo are two sexy dominating males who are trying for the spot of best of the best at flight school. Panther keeps his mouth and thoughts to himself while Solo doesn’t have a care in the world and says whatever he wants. These two go at it and its hot. As this is a trilogy, you can only image what a shock the ending was. I certainly need Need for Speed now.
Danger Zone is the first book in a new series by one of my favorite duos, Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine. I love when authors give us new characters to fall for and the Elite ones are full of intensity, passion, cockiness, and fun.
Two fighter pilots. One elite fighter pilot academy. Only one man can be on top. And they both wanted to win.
Grant knew the was trouble from the moment he sensed him in the bar and that was before he even knew who he was. The arrogant, reckless pilot with an I don’t give a f*ck attitude. He was just the type of man he needed to stay away from. He couldn’t get distracted from the academy. His father was one of the best and he was destined to be as well. He could not f*ck this up. He walked away from Mateo the night they met and he needed to stay clear now. The problem? He was his new partner in the sky.
Mateo wanted him from the minute he saw him sitting at the bar. There was something about the man. And when he saw him the next day all buttoned up and serious, he wanted him even more. He wanted Grant to lose control and he knew exactly how to push his buttons. Hell, he wanted to rip those buttons apart from his shirt. Mateo was there to win. To get everything he wanted. And he wanted Grant. Unfiltered.
Holy. Hotness!!! Grant and Mateo are intense. It makes for amazing sexual tension and build-up. And their banter? Full of innuendos, heat, and laughs. Even some hate thrown in. Like I said…Holy. Hotness. Thank God, Ella and Brooke are releasing each book only a month apart. I want more. Now.
Quotes:
As I stopped in front of my plane, Solo winked and said, “Looking forward to chasing your ass.”
“Looking forward to kicking yours.”
“Aww, you don’t need to be shy, Panther. You can admit it: you think I’m a badass.”
“Your body…” His hands stopped moving as he reached the V of my hips, and then he leaned in, his words a breath on my lips. “I want to destroy it.”
It has been awhile since I’ve read a MM romance and this was the perfect book to jump back into the waters with. OMG!! The adrenaline, the smexy, hot chemistry, the sassy, no-filter mouth of Solo, and the pent-up ready to blow passion of Panther. Everything was delicious!
Danger Zone is high energy, extreme, page turning action. Filled with the best-of-the-best cocky navy pilots, the men and women who are a part of this story are all amazing, but Solo and Panther really jump off the pages. From the very beginning their energy sizzles and you know once they finally give in to what is between them it is going to be an inferno of passion.
Solo is known for being cocky and a bit reckless, but also one of the best pilots. He finds Panther irresistible and wants him like he hasn’t wanted anyone in a long time and he isn’t known for losing. Loosening up the tightly controlled pilot becomes an obsession, one that he dreams of winning.
Panther always plays by the rules which makes Solo a huge risk both in and out of the bedroom. He will admit that he’s an excellent pilot, but reckless which gets him in trouble and should scream “stay away”, but staying away from him becomes harder as the days pass.
Danger Zone does end on a cliffhanger and WHOA, it is a whopper…so if you are someone who likes to wait and read books back to back, just know that you might want to wait, but luckily you won’t have to wait for long. Need for Speed will be out next month.
Argh…what are you doing to me with that ending!?!?? Both Solo and Panther pulled me in close to their characters. They have all of the alpha magnetism, drive, cockiness that I could want. Solo (Mateo) is the type that’ll keep pushing past the point of no return because he wants a reaction…even if that reaction is a punch in the face. Panther (Grant) is control all buttoned up in a tight package. He thrives on showing no stress or weakness which makes him a huge mystery/target for Solo. I loved the banter, tension, inability to keep away…it was all so addictive! I can’t wait for more!
Danger Zone was a great way to kick off the series! It was filled with lots of humor, cockiness, and a whole lotta sexual tension. I really enjoyed Grant and learning about him as a person. He often has to act a certain way due to his career and his father, but that’s not always the version of him that he wants to be. He’s a good guy who has a lot of pressure on him and sometimes needs to just let loose. Mateo is basically the opposite of how Grant originally presents himself. He’s very cocky and straightforward and thinks he’s the best at everything. He reminded me a bit of Logan, but even more. I will admit that his attitude and cockiness did get a little annoying at times. Especially when the things he does affects others and he doesn’t really care. I’m hoping over time he’ll tone it down a hair. They’re definitely an interesting pairing with all their differences. Although as the book goes on we find that they have more similarities than it seems. I really don’t know a lot about aircrafts and the Navy so I was a little confused at times by some of the lingo and what they were doing, other than that I enjoyed the storyline and how it was different. That was a big ending and I can’t wait for Need for Speed! *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*
Danger Zone is a book filled with white-hot chemistry and innuendo for the ages. From the first page, I was hooked. Panther and Solo are both badass fighter pilots and push and pull between them was perfection! All I could think about while I was reading was the movie Top Gun, but Danger Zone took it to an entirely different level of HOT. Solo and Panther are each other polar opposites, but that doesn’t stop the attraction from building, and escalating because Solo wants to drag Panther out of his comfort zone. I seriously think I needed a fan while I was reading has some epically steamy moments. Prepare yourself accordingly!
That ending though. I can’t believe it ended like that, but what a place to end it. Be prepared for the cliffhanger of all cliffhanger’s my friends, but thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long for the next book in the series to know what is going to happen next! This is the first book I’ve read from Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank and it will not be the last!
ARC received for an honest review
I feel the need… the need to speed read Danger Zone.
This book has a very Top Gun vibe. Very Maverick and IceMan vibe between Panther and Solo. I had to get the image of Tom Cruise (so not a fan) out of my head.
However that didn’t take long, and then I was full throttle into this story. I loved the banter between the pilots. I love how flirty Solo is – though at times I just wanted him to calm his farm a bit with hit.
Now, this is not the authors fault at all, however one of the main characters – Panther – is named Grant. It makes it really hard for me to get all lusty over characters called Grant, as that is my baby brother’s name hahah
The testosterone in this book is a whole lotta woah. So much arrogance and cockiness, but also so earned.
I adored how Grant and Mateo are starting to find their way to each other, even when they have to be kind of closeted away.
Just as I was really, really getting into things, we were hit with a holy sh!tballs, did they really leave me hanging like this cliffy.
We only have a month to wait for the next installment, but that is a month to long for this impatient bunny!
I can’t wait for March 27th to come.
