Hanging up your dance shoes isn’t so easy when you can’t let go of your former dance partner.Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Adam’s story …Single Dad of Seattle, Adam Eastwood, knows … Dad of Seattle, Adam Eastwood, knows that dance school is just the thing for his precocious daughter, Mira. She already spends most days twirling around the house in a tutu and tiara, why not pay a professional to teach her how to do it properly? Only Adam didn’t account for that professional to be the Violet Benson from a very famous New York ballet company. Not only is Violet a natural beauty who floats more than she dances, but she’s the kind of woman Adam’s been searching for all his life.
Grieving the loss of her dance partner and boyfriend, Violet is done with performing on stage. How can she go on when the love of her life is no longer there to catch her? Deciding a change is best, she moves back home to Seattle, determined to fulfill their dream of opening up a dance school. It’s not until she’s asked to dance for Art in the Park that she realizes maybe she’s not quite ready to hang up her dance shoes. Would it be wrong to take the stage one last time? It must be wrong to feel what she feels when she’s dancing with Mira’s handsome father.
Adam’s wounds are still fresh from his divorce, and Violet’s dealing with a loss of her own, but somehow they keep winding up in each other’s arms with neither of them willing to let go. But it’s never easy to conquer the past.
Will Violet let fear and grief keep her from her dreams? Or will Adam convince her that the show must go on and dancing with the single dad might just be the way for her to find her happily ever after?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

Fabulous 4 ¾ stars – The romance between Adam and Violet is so heartfelt. Steamy sex abounds. The individual agonies of the characters will move you. The kids and the pets were amusing. I don’t like Violet’s mom though. The appearance of Violet’s former mentor is too fortuitous but what a fabulous read! I hope Ms. Cox creates a single mom club book series. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
This story is so engagingly beautiful and makes you definitely reach for tissues. The heart ache from loss brings 2 amazing people together and help each other grow as people and rediscovering some things of themselves that were lost. All it takes is a person to connect with that charge the path you thought you are going.

This book is part of the “single dads of seattle” series which is absolutely fantastic. you can read each as a standalone.
I love the author’s writing style. I can’t read to read the rest of the books in the series.

This is the second book in this series with single dad Adam and Violet the dance instructor. They meet when Adam’s four year old daughter Mira wants to take dance and ends up at Violet’s dance studio. Adam knows immediately that Violet is meant for him and with sweet funny little Mira that help’s draw them together. Loved this book and the characters were all just what they should be and hope to read the next on out.

Mira and her new bestie Jayda absolutely steal every scene they are in. From the first “tiara and tutu request” to the “incident” to the “big sister” smile, they are infectious and adoring. Adam and Violet have their hands full when they are together. Both of them have experienced loss and loneliness. Both of them have so many hopes for the future. But getting through the struggles of today is where their heart shines. Emotions and thoughts run riot throughout the story and will keep you enthralled right to the very end.
Another absolutely wonderful story!! This is definitely a page-turner and grabs you from the very first words. It hits all the emotions…good ones. Love this series!!
This book was by turns heartwrenching and heartwarming. It was an intense story of love, loss and overcoming all. I truly enjoyed it. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
Adam and sweet Mira stole my attention in the previous story! Adam is a true daddy that’s been wrapped around his little girls finger and will do whatever it take to male her happy, and right now that’s going to Ballet class. Violet is starting over and bringing to life the dream of the man she loved and lost, opening a Dance Studio. I loved how these two clicked when they met and the sparks just kept quietly brewing until they exploded. I loved the sweetness and care and the passion that was shown. This story is one that made my heart sing with happiness! I can’t wait for the next Single Dad to steal my heart!!!
Absolutely fabulous book! Adam and Violet have such a strong connection and chemistry that even though they are both grieving, although differently, they can’t seem to stay away from each other. Tons of emotions, humor, steam, and then you throw in some drama/suspense that all makes for a fantastic read!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the second book in the Single Dads of Seattle series. It can be read as a standalone. Adam is a single, divorced father of a precocious 4 year old daughter who wants to dance. She starts lessons with Violet, a former dance pro, whose partner and lover died from cancer. The chemistry id instant and explosive but there are complications on both sides. Will they be able to see there way through it? A strong 4.5 star read with lots of drama and steam.
Another good read in this single dad series. This time it’s Adam & Violet. His adorable daughter, Mira, joins Violet’s newly opened dancing school, which was a dream of her & her late husband.
There is an immediate connection between these two. However she hasn’t looked at anyone since her husbands death but both have obstacles they need to overcome before they get their HEA.
There are a few appearances from some of the other dads & there will be more to add into the mix as well. If you’ve liked the series so far this won’t disappoint.

Book 2 in The Single Dads of Seattle Series and what a great series this is turning into.
I love single parent books and I have to say Whitley Cox knows how to write a great read in this genre, in fact I would go as far as to say I will be putting her on my list of go to authors.
Violet has returned home and opened up a dance studio after losing her dance partner who also happened to be the love of her life and the last thing she is looking for is another partner in dance and love but when Adam walks into her studio with his adorable daughter Mira sparks fly. Adam may be ready to get back in the daring game but Violet is still dealing with grief but when Adam invites Violets brother to join The single dads club poker night it leaves the door open for their adorable daughters to match make for Violet and Adam. Will Violet give love another go………
This book has all the feels you want in a great read, love, passion, it’s a fun entertaining read with a hint of suspense. I’m so looking forward to getting to know the rest of The Single Dads of Seattle because I believe they all have a great tale to tell on their way to finding their HEA’s. Looking forward to book 3 in the series.
Whitley Cox always sucks me into her stories. This one was no different except in the fact that these characters are so broken. Adam and Violet have had so much loss in their lives. Both are in different ways but they find common ground in their grief. I so adored Adam. He is a single dad that has stars in his eyes for his four year old( and a half) daughter, Mira. He has support in his and his ex wife’s parents but it’s not the same as a partner. His divorce was a friendly one but his ex is not ready to be fully involved in her daughter’s life. So it’s all on Adam. Enrolling his daughter in dance will change his life.
Violet is opening the dance school that she always dreamed about. Well not always but it became a dream after another had died. Her loss is of a partner and of a dream. She can’t keep her eyes off Adam when he brings Mira in for class. Her struggle is heartbreaking to witness. She is so strong though and I admire her determination.
The two of them together are explosive in the best ways. Adam brings out things in Violet that she never thought possible. Heat pours off the pages while they get to know each other. Loved this and can not wait for the rest of these single dads to find their HEAs
Violet is still grieving from the loss of per dance partner who also happened to be the man she loved. Unable to bear dancing with another she decided to follow their dream of opening a studio so she has moved back to Seattle to be near her family.
Adam and his wife divorced as the emotional pain that he and his wife faced in their marriage tore them apart rather than bringing them together. His life is centered around his daughter Mira and her love of dance is evident, so he arranges for her to take classes at Violet’s studio.
From the moment they meet the sparks fly but Violet believes she is being disloyal to the man she loved. When they become dance partners for the Art in the Park fundraiser and need to spend time together to practice will they both realize that they are ready to move on with their lives or is the pain of their pasts too much to overcome?
This is a heartwarming story about love, loss and new beginnings with all the feels.
I have to say I am loving this series! Adam’s and Violet’s story is so touching. They have both experienced loss in different but poignant ways. As the story unwraps we see the connection between these two as it grows stronger. But in the end will Violet be able to put aside her grief to grasp a happily ever after with Adam? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
The dancing aspect caught my attention on this book. Writing dance scenes is especially difficult and the author did a pretty good job with this as one of the main characters is a dance instructor/dancer. I was hoping for a little more description/tension in those scenes but overall I enjoyed the story and would recommend it as well as the series.

I love this series! They just keep getting better! Adam and Violet were perfect together! Adams daughter Mira starts taking dance lessons at Violets dance studio. Sparks fly as soon as they see each other. I loved this story! Their interaction with each other was awesome! It was such a fun read! I love all the guys of the Single Dads of Seattle series! I can’t wait for the next one!
Violet Benson, darling of the New York ballet scene, loses her partner in death. She’ll never find another partner, especially not in her home town in the Northwest where she is opening her dance studio. But what serendipity! She is attracted to one of the Single Dads of Seattle who brings his ‘four and a half’ year old daughter to dance class. Adam invites Violet’s brother, the single father of a six year old his Mira has befriended in dance class, to join the Single Dads’ Saturday night poker. And this gives the darling little girls the opportunity to bring Mira’s daddy and Aunt Violet together for private dancing, that blooms into a novel. This novel is full of sadness yet also filled with the joys of dancing and sex becoming dedicated love. The alpha Adam is a perfectionist in his brother’s gym, in his university lab, and in his ability to take direction in leading his professional dance instructor! Adam, it turns out, was trained by his grandmother who reared him to be her dance partner. Now Adam becomes Violet’s perfect dance partner able to perform whenever she needs him! What more could you ask for? That Violet’s brother fall in love with Mira’s mother? Oh, for that you’ll have to catch the next book in the Single Dads of Seattle series! These books are definitely recommended reading. I volunteered this review from an ARC.
This is a devine, heart melting, beautifully written love story. It is a great portrayal of the battles that have to be fought in life to over come tragedy!
Wonderful characters and sultry sex scenes round out a great storyline!
Loved ut!
