Hanging up your dance shoes isn’t so easy when you can’t let go of your former dance partner.Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Adam’s story …Single Dad of Seattle, Adam Eastwood, knows … Dad of Seattle, Adam Eastwood, knows that dance school is just the thing for his precocious daughter, Mira. She already spends most days twirling around the house in a tutu and tiara, why not pay a professional to teach her how to do it properly? Only Adam didn’t account for that professional to be the Violet Benson from a very famous New York ballet company. Not only is Violet a natural beauty who floats more than she dances, but she’s the kind of woman Adam’s been searching for all his life.
Grieving the loss of her dance partner and boyfriend, Violet is done with performing on stage. How can she go on when the love of her life is no longer there to catch her? Deciding a change is best, she moves back home to Seattle, determined to fulfill their dream of opening up a dance school. It’s not until she’s asked to dance for Art in the Park that she realizes maybe she’s not quite ready to hang up her dance shoes. Would it be wrong to take the stage one last time? It must be wrong to feel what she feels when she’s dancing with Mira’s handsome father.
Adam’s wounds are still fresh from his divorce, and Violet’s dealing with a loss of her own, but somehow they keep winding up in each other’s arms with neither of them willing to let go. But it’s never easy to conquer the past.
Will Violet let fear and grief keep her from her dreams? Or will Adam convince her that the show must go on and dancing with the single dad might just be the way for her to find her happily ever after?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

Heartwarming story of deep loss, healing and second chances. Adam, a single dad, meets Violet when he brings his daughter to her dance class. Adam got divorced after a tragedy devastated his wife. Violet’s dance and life partner succumbed to cancer, her father died and her brother’s wife dies in a car accident within the last year. Here are two broken people who learn to love again after some serious trials and tribulations and the support of family and friends. Well written and very enjoyable read.

Do you feel the music as Violet and Adam dance, I could as I read the words and swayed to them. I really enjoyed this story in the second book of single Seattle dads. I love that this series is building on these characters, each book reveals so much about all the dads. Violet and Adam’s story is all about letting go of what you had to embrace what you can have. These are strong characters both knowing what they want and willing to work for it. Adam seemed like he was going to be the geeky professor but his dominant side came as a nice surprise. Looking forward to Mitch’s book.

This is the second book in this great series, and is a wonderful addition. Violet is a famous dancer who returns to her hometown to open a dance school after the tragic loss of her dance partner and boyfriend. Adam is recently divorced and is a single dad to his little girl Mira, who loves to dance. This is a beautifully written story which has loss, healing, emotional, sweet, and is a steamy and intriguing read. I was hooked throughout and can’t wait to read more in this amazing series. I recommend this talented authors’ work for all.
Adam is a university professor, and single dad to Mira, a precocious 4-year-old “princess” who loves to dance. Violet has it all as a professional dancer, until her dance and life partner passes away. She moves home to Seattle to open a dance studio. Adam enrolls Mira in Violet’s dance class, and the sparks fly. They begin a more physical relationship, with his alpha side making an appearance. Violet has this nagging feeling that she’s being disloyal to Jean-Phillipe, a sentiment stressed by her mother. And now, someone’s messing with her head regarding his death. I absolutely loved this book – had trouble setting it aside for things like sleep and work. Adam and Violet are so perfect together, slowly recognizing that they both bring out the best in the other. This is my first read from this author, and am looking forward to the rest of this series.

Grief doesn’t always have to be a closed door. Adam’s adorable daughter, Mira spends more time in her tutu and tiara than out. Adam seeks a dance school to highlight his daughter’s talents. Violet is not only an amazing teacher, she is from a famous NY Ballet company. After loosing the love of her life, Violet retreats to Seattle and opens up a schoolthat was originally their dream, still grieving. Navigating wanting the best for his little girl and the heart squeezing grief of loosing a partner, these two feel an attractions that transcends their idea of being alone. The excitement of dancing while navigating the intricacies of what the heart wants makes this story a fun, romantic satisfying read. Nicely done! I received and ARC from Booksprout for a review.
4.5 Stars
This is the second book in the series. This series is about single dads in Seattle and single dad romance is my jam right now. I was instantly sucked into the story. I loved the scenes between Adam and his little girl. They’re so precious, but also Adam has many ovary exploding moments. Adam is definitely swoon worthy book boyfriend material. My heart goes out to Violet. Sometimes she brings tears to my eyes because I can feel the emotion rolling off of her. It was beautiful the way she slowly heals and blossoms once again. Adam and Mira are exactly what Violet needs in her life. I was rooting for them through the whole book. The ending was the perfect touch and the epilogue is the icing on the cake. If you love single dad romance I can’t recommend this one enough. It delivers on the heat, heart, and humor. It’s a must read for sure!
Love the continuation of this single dad series from Whitley! This book gives us Adam’s story post divorce and rebuilding. Violet has returned home after a whirlwind career in dance after losing not only her dance partner but the love of her life. Deciding the best way to pay tribute to his life is to follow out the dreams they had together, she opens a dance studio to teach her passion. It’s there she meets Adam, who’s daughter Mira is taking classes from Violet. When the two meet sparks instantly fly, but while he is ready to get back into the dating game after his amicable divorce, Violet isn’t sure that she’s ready. In the midst of dealing with Violet’s grief and feelings on being unsure that dating so soon is the right thing, Whitley brings a level of suspense through a stalker of Violet’s that has come out of nowhere within the book (but don’t worry it makes sense in the end!). With all the back and forth it makes your head spin, but the devotion that Adam has to making it work and not giving up on her really adds to the charm of this book. One thing I love is that within these first two books, the divorces have been amicable and the co-parenting between them is good. While I know it’s not the case and there will be some books in the series that don’t have that aspect, I think it’s interesting to include because it’s so rare in today’s world (that I know of).

While each book in this wonderful series about single dads in Seattle are stand alone do yourself a favour and grab book one as well. They are all wonderful smooth flowing books that draw at your heartstrings as each single dad finds the woman that completes him even if he isn’t looking for her
This is Violet and Adams story Violet a a dancer from New York as returned to Seattle to be with her mother and open a dance studio This is bittersweet as she always intended to do this with her dance partner who was also her life partner but n his death she is left to do it alone. Adam is a single father who has enrolled his daughter Mira in the dance school when he meets her instructor he is instantly attracted but he is gun shy after a recent divorce Can these two overcome their reticence with the help of some little matchmakers You will have to read to see
Omgggh this Single dads of Seattle series are so good. Adams is a single dad of an adorable 4 year old who’s still bounded after his divorce. What I meant by my review tittle is this author never needs to write overused tropes like many other authors. No Billionaire Executives, no marriage of convenience, not the ridiculous reverse harem or modern takes on fairy tales. Whitley Cox just tells an original story that’s interesting to read. Her characters are fully dimensional, her pacing always on point and her storylines are never derived from something else. She’s truly an original. In this book she gives us Adam and Violet, both have suffered losses in their lives, neither of them looking for love but there’s a gravitational force that pulls them together. Violet has just opened a dance school in Seattle and Adam, who has primary custody of his daughter enrolls her in the dance class. This book also sets up what will Be Book three in this series exceptionally well. Mitch is well established in this book and I am already eager to read his and Paige’s story. BTW Paige is Adam’s ex wife and Mitch is Violet’s brother…sounds fabulous. As usual Whitley Cox isn’t happy enough telling a brilliant romance..there’s also an element of fear and perhaps danger. To sum it up…if you’re looking for something you haven’t read before, with a really great amount of steam and a bit of intrigue…here ya go.

This is a beautifully written love story between Violet and Adam. Their characters are strong and their chemistry is hot. The author brings an emotion filled story of two people finding each other and love. The multitude of supporting characters play a big role and help to bring the story around. It moves quickly and fluidly and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
This is book two in this interesting, cute, and steamy series. Both Adam and Violet had previous serious losses in their life and it affected how they approached romance. The characters were excellently portrayed and a few twists at the end. Another great read!

As sweet as it is sexy, Dancing with the Single Dad is a solid read, if not a bit jarring as it shifts in tone from one scene to another. The story follows Violet, a former dancer turned dance instructor, and Adam, a single dad whose daughter is taking lessons from Violet. The two are immediately attracted to each other, which they find curious because neither one has felt attracted to anyone since the end of their respective relationships (Violet’s partner passed away, and Adam is recently divorced). As they begin spending time together through these dance classes, Violet and Adam find themselves opening up and the sparks between them igniting.
At times, this book is super sweet, a story of two people finding love again after loss. There are some touching scenes and deep emotions. On the other hand, it’s also pretty steamy and the focus is really on their physical relationship. It was a little jarring to go from such deep emotional conversations to some intense sex scenes (Adam definitely shows his alpha side here). It’s all well done, but I had trouble reconciling a book that features a teacher/student fantasy scene with the same book that spends so much time discussing healing from loss. Overall, it’s a good book that held my interest but didn’t grab it.

This is the story if Adam and Violet and their journey to a happy and loving life. He is a single dad to Mira who wants to take dance lessons so Adam finds a dance studio and enrolls her. Violet has just returned to Seattle after losing her dance/life partner to cancer and has decided to open a dance studio. She wants to use her talents to teach others but she will never dance professionally again. These two have such amazing chemistry it is off the charts!! Another home run for Ms Cox. I read this book as an ARC and this is my honest review.
