Hanging up your dance shoes isn’t so easy when you can’t let go of your former dance partner.Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Adam’s story …Single Dad of Seattle, Adam Eastwood, knows … Dad of Seattle, Adam Eastwood, knows that dance school is just the thing for his precocious daughter, Mira. She already spends most days twirling around the house in a tutu and tiara, why not pay a professional to teach her how to do it properly? Only Adam didn’t account for that professional to be the Violet Benson from a very famous New York ballet company. Not only is Violet a natural beauty who floats more than she dances, but she’s the kind of woman Adam’s been searching for all his life.
Grieving the loss of her dance partner and boyfriend, Violet is done with performing on stage. How can she go on when the love of her life is no longer there to catch her? Deciding a change is best, she moves back home to Seattle, determined to fulfill their dream of opening up a dance school. It’s not until she’s asked to dance for Art in the Park that she realizes maybe she’s not quite ready to hang up her dance shoes. Would it be wrong to take the stage one last time? It must be wrong to feel what she feels when she’s dancing with Mira’s handsome father.
Adam’s wounds are still fresh from his divorce, and Violet’s dealing with a loss of her own, but somehow they keep winding up in each other’s arms with neither of them willing to let go. But it’s never easy to conquer the past.
Will Violet let fear and grief keep her from her dreams? Or will Adam convince her that the show must go on and dancing with the single dad might just be the way for her to find her happily ever after?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

4.5 stars
The second book in the Single Dads of Seattle series is one that will really hit home the power of love and the strength to deal with the hand one is dealt. Violet is a dancer. Her movements driven by the music made richer by having her partner by her side until one day when she didn’t. Trying to rebuild her life, she moves back to her hometown to start again and meets Adam. Adam is a single father who has had his fair share of tragedy. Adam’s daughter, Mira, decides that she wants to take dance lessons and winds up at Violet’s studio. Little did Adam realize that taking his daughter to class would have such an impact. The sparks that fly between Violet and Adam melt the pages. The more time they spend together, the closer they become. Will Violet be able to find a new dance partner in Adam? Ms. Cox has a way of writing her characters in such a realistic fashion that the reader cannot help but be ensnared as each page turns. After all is said and done, this storyline will have anyone feeling the beat and wanting to move his/her feet.
I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
Violet has come home to Seattle to start over. After losing so many people in her life, she is sharing a home with her brother and niece and starting a dance studio. Dance is all she knows but she can’t bear to perform. Grief shadows her steps until a handsome man brings his daughter for dance class and her heart starts to beat again. Adam has suffered loss too and he knows what Violet is going through. She makes him feel like anything is possible and he will give her whatever she needs to heal. He just has to hope that she will start to feel for him what he is already feeling for her.
What a gorgeous, sensuous tale of two people finding love again! Grief comes to us in varied and unique ways and it is so wonderfully handled by Ms Cox. The characters are so well drawn that I can picture them in my head. I absolutely adored spending time with Violet, her brother Mitch and his daughter Jayda and the absolutely divine sounding Adam and his little girl Mira. I felt like the whole story was magnificent and didn’t want it to end. That said, the ending was amazing and closed my e-reader with a smile. If you are looking for a contemporary romance with characters you would love to call your friends, please pick up any book by this talented lady!
Oh my heart strings! Whitley Cox has created a beautiful new world I had no idea I needed until I read book one with Mark! Book two lives right up to the wonderful expectations I had after starting this series! Violet, a dancer, who suffers a tragic loss of her dance and life partner starts a new life and dance studio in the wake of her loss. Little did she know that she would meet Adam, a father of one of her students who also shares in her grief of losing someone they love. This is a beautiful story of building love on the foundation of grief and loss and finding something new and wonderful despite the past! This book does a great job showing how even though you may move on, you never have to forget the love of someone you’ve lost! Way to go Whitley! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!
This is the second book in the series but can be read on its own. If like me you love a good single dad romance then you cannot wrong with Adam and Violet’s book it is a super read and the chemistry between them make for some smoking hot scene’s this is a really great book and I really enjoyed it
5 star review of Dancing With the Single Dad (The Single Dads of Seattle #2) by Whitley Cox
Having read the first book in the series by relatively new to me author Whitley Cox I couldn’t wait to read this book. I love single parent books and this has fast become one of my go to genres.
This is Adam Eastwood and Violet Benson’s story. Adam was left reeling when his ex wife Paige divorced him, after all the losses they have suffered, he had hoped that things were improving. Their daughter Mira is a little dancer in the making. When she wants to sign up for dance class, Adam agrees, he loves dancing and he is thrilled that she wants to do lessons.
Violet was a famous dancer in NYC and after the tragic death of her partner, both on and off the stage has returned home to help her brother raise her niece. Starting the dance studio was their dream and she is determined to bring the dream to life.
Having closed herself off from life she has no plans to fall in love whilst Adam is immediately smitten with the dance teacher.
However neither Adam or Violet can ignore the connection and feelings that smoulder between them.
Can Adam convince Violet to take a leap of faith? Will the past threaten their future? Can their shared love of dance bring together two lost and lonely souls?
This was at times an emotional roller coaster of a read. It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, it will make you swoon and I think you will be hard pressed not to fall in love with all of the characters.
I loved that we see the other members of the club. The camaraderie and friendships amongst the men is awesome. Their banter had me laughing so much at times as did the antics of Mira and the other children.
Dancing With the Single Dad is not only a story about overcoming loss, of working through ones grief, it is a story of friendship, of taking a leap of faith and taking a chance on love.
Whitley Cox has written a strong story with characters that are easy to relate to, caring and loving. I was riveted to this story from the first to the last chapter and I cannot wait to read the next book which is all about Violet’s brother.
Violet and Adam’s love story is one based on a mutual understanding of loss and a desire to rebuild and give love another chance in the future. Both Adam and Violet have suffered losses and experienced heartbreak, and their hearts are definitely bruised when they met. But they each help the other open up to the possibility of true love, especially with the most adorable little girl helping to play matchmaker along the way.
Gregory Salinas and Erin Bateman both narrated their roles well. It was a thoroughly enjoyable listen that was heartwarming in the end.
This was such a beautiful story of the healing power of love. The past happens, but it doesn’t mean you can’t have a future. Violet has just opened her own dance studio. She is using dance to distract her from the loss of her dance partner and husband who had passed away. Adam is a single father dealing with a divorce. He enrolls his daughter in Violet’s dance class and sparks fly. They both have their baggage. They both are afraid to move on. But they both find comfort in each other. But others are in their eait. Violet’s mom who is projecting her grief of her own husband on her daughter. The things she said and did made me want to scream at her, but at the same time I felt her pain. There is also someone stalking Violet with dangerous intent. Violet and Adam are fighting for their happiness, love, and even lives. These narrators did an amazing job as these characters. I felt every emotion they felt. A must read/listen for romance fans.
Audiobook Review:
I am really enjoying this series about single dads. This time single dad Adam meets and falls for his daughter’s dance teacher Violet. The two connect through a love of dance and their grief due to losses they’ve both suffered. But over the course of the story they begin to heal both each other and themselves. The story was a good mix of sweet, steamy, suspense and of course love. There was family drama, stalkers and exs. It was all really well written and made for a great listen.
The narrators did a great job. I enjoyed both of their performances, but Gregory Salinas in particular is growing on me more and more with each performance. He shows really good emotion and has an overall great tone. Erin Bateman is newer for me but I wouldn’t mind trying more by her in future.

Dancing with the Single Dad
The Single Dads of Seattle, Book 2
By: Whitley Cox
Narrated by: Gregory Salinas, Erin Bateman
Whitely Cox pens another wonderful “Single Dad of Seattle” novel, the second in her series but can be enjoyed as a standalone. This book features single dad Adam Eastwood and his darling 4 1/2 year old daughter, Mira. Adam has accepted that his marriage is over and is on good terms with with his ex-wife and despite her struggles, she is trying to be a part of her daughter’s life. Violet Benson, a dancer who lost her dance and life partner, is fulfilling a dream by opening up this dance studio. She had no intention of finding another dance partner or performing on stage again, she is content with teaching others to dance. But something changes after meeting Adam, the single dad who accompanies his daughter, Mira to her class. This is a wonderful romance story and I loved how it all played out, the story is beautifully plotted and contains a whole lot of heart, there is also some drama, just a touch of angst, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments, so cute ones with Mira and some hot loving. Whitley Cox thank you for another awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
And for the amazing narration, Gregory Salinas and Erin Bateman are the stars of the show. They do an awesome job bringing these characters to life, giving each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. Their portrayal of each character is spot on. They have a complete understanding of the role they are playing, sound believable and just as I picture the character to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture each character’s emotions and projects them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fabulous listen!

Adam is still feeling the effects from his divorce from his wife. His 5 year old daughter, Mira, is a cutie pie, and steals the show in this story. Her love of dance encourages her dad to enroll her in dance classes.
Violet, a professional dancer, returned to Seattle after the death of her dance partner and lover. She opened up a dance studio. from beginners to advanced. Adam is immediately enthralled with her .
Violet had her doubts about having a relationship so soon. Both are dealing with pain and grief, Their love of dance brought them together.
Gregory Salina and Erin Bateman are great voice performers. I enjoyed listening to.this story.

Dancing With The Single Dad by Whitley Cox is a contemporary single dad romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Erin Bateman and Gregory Salinas. This is the second book in The Single Dads Of Seattle series and can be read as a standalone.
The book comes with a note “This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.”
This is the second book of Whitley’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Adam and Violet. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series Saved By The Single Dad to be released on audio so I can get Mitch and Paige’s story.
Erin and Gregory did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like single dad romances or contemporary romances.

This is a standalone book in a series with a sweet HEA. I liked this 2nd book in the series even better than the first! Adam Eastwood and Violet Benson are fantastic. Mira, the precocious daughter, makes this book even more epic. I love the world Whitley Cox has created here with the Single Dads of Seattle. The characters are well-developed and interesting. The story line is unique and engaging. Whitley has created a series with strong characters that are easy to relate to and fall in love with. I laughed, cried, and swooned. Thank you to Pink Flamingo Productions for gifting me this steamy audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
Narrators Gregory Salinas and Erin Bateman were excellent as always! This is such a cute and fun story, and these 2 narrators definitely brought that to life. Their tones, pacing, timing, and vocal characterizations were spot on. I highly recommend the audiobook version of this book.

This author is a fairly new to me author as I have only read the previous book in this series, but I found it enjoyable, so I was excited to start this book. I love a good single dad book, and I love the whole concept of this series.
Violet just recently opened up her own dance studio and is helping her brother raise his daughter after their family suffered a series of devastating losses. She herself is still reeling from the loss of her partner, both in life and in dance. Adam is a single dad, raising his sassy, spirited and confident daughter Mira, while also dealing with his own personal losses. Adam and Violet meet when Adam brings Mira to her dance class and learns that Violet is the dance instructor, and he is smitten from first glance.
I enjoyed the introduction of Mitch and Jada to the group, and I loved Adam and Violet as the main characters. I think they were very relatable and I loved how supportive they were of each other and their personal struggles. And the chemistry…..yowza…..ON FIRE!!!! I am looking forward to continuing the series and seeing what is in store in book three!
This is a sweet single parent romance. Adam is the father of Mira, who wants to be a dancer. Violet is a professional dancer who suffered the loss of her prior partner and love. As such, she decided to become a dance teacher which is where she meets Mira and, of course, Adam. I smiled a lot because the kids are so cute and I enjoyed the interactions between the single dads (they set up a group to help each other deal with being single dads.). While I liked Violet and Adam’s relationship, I have to admit that Violet’s continued heartbreak and mourning of her lost love took a little shine away from the romance for me. I mean, the absolute heartbreak that Violet experienced basically makes it feel like Adam is a second choice. That’s just a personal preference in terms of the relationship set-up though, so others may not feel as strongly about it as me!
I listened to the audiobook which was narrated by Gregory Salinas and Erin Bateman. I thought it was well done. I love Gregory Salinas’ deep voice but also how he was able to transition to playing female characters and children. Erin Bateman also did well playing multiple characters and it was overall a pleasure to listen to.

I listened the the audiobook. Gregory Salinas and Erin Bateman did a fantastic job. I always appreciate when narrators add more than just words to the story (laughing, clearing throats, tears, etc.).
Dancing with the Single Dad is a complete stand alone novel and the characters from Hired by the Single Dad play very, very minor parts. You could easily read them out of order. This book did answer one question I had after the first one though – Can you still be in the single dad club if you’re not a single dad anymore? Listen to this one to find out.
I had a tough time rating the story itself because I really like what makes it unique compared to most contemporary romance. It’s still true to the genre, but also has a little hint of suspense and takes on some sensitive and important topics. (Miscarriage plays a big part in the backstory and could be a trigger for some readers.) Because it was different, I debated rating it as a 5. However, there were times the story felt slow. There are some extended steamy scenes which I know are a plus for a lot of people, but I felt like they slowed the story down. The past relationships of both main characters featured prominently in the story and I would have preferred less focus on the past relationships. It wasn’t my favorite of the series, but it was still good, so I also want to rate it a 4. I settled at 4.5 in the middle.

Dancing with the Single Dad
The Single Dads of Seattle Book 2
by Whitley Cox
Narrated by Gregory Salinas & Erin Bateman
Violet is ready to live out her dream of owning a dance studio. She came home after her dance career to help out her brother with his daughter. Adam, a single dad enrolled his 4 year old daughter in the new school and was immediately attracted to the beautiful teacher. But coming off an unexpected divorce doesn’t make it easy to dive into a new relationship and Violet certainly isn’t looking for a man with her array of responsibilities. But chemistry says something else! Will these two find themselves the chance to be together? I love these books! They are so much fun! Adam is swooney and all you can want in a man. He is confident, and he knows what he wants. But there is some turmoil still lurking from his past. Violet is so fun! I love her interactions with the girls and when given the chance to dance with Adam, all bets to winning my heart are off! Plus those two little ones are absolutely adorable. This is another fun listen from the Single Dads series! Whitley Cox certainly has my attention!
Gregory Salinas has such an amazing voice, and his ability to understand his characters is spot on. As Adam, he is romantic with Violet and he has so much compassion for his ex-wife, it just make him that much more lovable. Violet has some layers, and Erin Bateman peels each one with her voice. I enjoyed this team and they created an enjoyable listen.
After reading Hired by the Single Dad, I hoped this book would be just as amazing. And y’all Whitley did it again! She is a single dad pro! We are honestly so dang blessed that there are eight more books coming in this series! This book was full of emotion, passion, and collision. These characters have all lost so much in their life and it’s like they are the missing pieces to different puzzles coming together for one epic romance.
Violet has been a dancer all her life and it was always a dream of hers to open her own studio. But her dream seems dull following the death of her partner. When she begins classes and meets little Mira and her sexy dad Adam, things begin to seem a bit brighter. Adam’s ex-wife left him following a devastating loss and it pushed him and Mira closer. He is such an adorable father and all the daddy/daughter moments will have you swooning!
Violet’s past keeps her from moving on and letting herself feel anything for Adam. But as time goes on she can’t help her feelings. And when they are asked to participate in a charity festival it seems she may have to do the one thing she never thought she would have to do again: dance as a duo. And holy hot damn, those dance sessions are pure fire!
This is a book that captures loss and grievance so well. These characters experience pain and the guilt of moving on from those they’ve loved so much in their life. They learn that it’s not selfish to move on and be happy. And it is such a beautiful story to see play out. After reading books 1 and 2 in this series, I can’t wait to read even more books in the Single Dads of Seattle Series! But all are standalone, so don’t be afraid to read out of order!
