Reunion Prom? Is this really a thing? In Wishful it is. Lexi Morales never imagined her life would turn into the premise for an 1980s teen movie. But when her big high school trauma hit like a ton of bricks, she spent the next decade trying to hide the truth. After years of careful avoidance, she’s back in town to care for her injured mother, just in time for the high school reunion she never … reunion she never planned to attend—a reunion that evokes memories she’s tried to forget.
Wishful’s friendly neighborhood photographer, Zach Warren, has no idea why he and his best friend drifted apart. But from the first, flashbulb moment he sees Lexi all grown up, she’s all he can think about—and his thoughts keep straying right out of the friendzone.
Zach’s offer of temporary employment while she’s in town should be a perfect fit, but acting like she’s never thought of him as more than a friend turns out to be harder than Lexi ever expected. All she wants to do is get through this with her secret—and her heart—intact. One thing’s for sure: Lexi is NOT going to this prom.
But what if ten years is just the right amount of time for Zach to finally get a clue?

Lexie Morales,a professional photographer, left home right after highschool because her best friend broke her heart. She had asked him to the prom and he thought she was joking and asked someone else. She was heartbroken. Her mom fell and broke her leg and she came home to help her. .I loved the story and characters. This is a short story and easy read. I would recommend reading this book.

Dancing away with my heart
I read this book in one day. It was another great installment of the Wishful series. Lexi and Zach Were best friends growing up; like too peas in a pod. However they went their separate ways after high school. Now Lexi back in town and can she keep avoiding Zach like she has the last decade? You don’t want to miss their heartfelt story. I just love Kait books.

Another winner from Kait Nolan. Lexi and Zach’s story will tear at your heart (as most of Ms. Nolan’s books tend to do!) and, as always, make you want to be a part of this amazing community!!! With each book, I am more and more drawn to wanting to live inside and this is no exception!!! Five stars as always!!!
Another sweet romance from Kait Nolan. I love all of her books because they are fun, easy reads.
This book did not disappoint. The characters are fun and likable and make you root for a happily ever after.

Who wouldn’t want the chance to go back & say or do (or NOT SAY OR DO!) something they regretted. My heart ached & rejoiced. A truly delightful read!
This was a great story of how the past affects the present and can shape the future. Wow, these two were clueless but everyone else around them already saw what was there. It’s great to have friends that see your gift even when you don’t and help you get it. Best buddies often times don’t realize that that friendship is the foundation to forever. Great story Kait. As always you write from the heart!

it was a surprise to have received another instalment in the Wishful series and Ms Nolan delivers the entertainment once more. I am so tempted to read the whole series again even if it will be for the third time

Thoroughly enjoyed the sweet romance between Zach and Lexi. Left me with a warm, glowing feeling when I finished it on a gloomy rainy day. Love the Wishful series and looked forward to Kait’s next one.

A visit to Wishful is always welcome! This story introduced Lexi, and paired her up with Zack Warren, who I first met in Just For This Moment, as photographer for the newspaper. I felt a bit of a disconnect when there was no mention of that part of his background, but I still enjoyed the new story. In fact, the story was realistic enough that I could definitely feel Lexi’s pain and embarrassment. But the ending more than made up for any uncomfortable moments!

I loved Dancing Away With My Heart! Lexi returns to the town of Wishful after 10 years to help her mother and runs in to her best friend Zack. Zack doesn’t understand why Lexi stopped being his best friend and is clueless yet he wants her to work with him in his photography business. Kait Nolan wrote a wonderful story of best friends, misunderstandings and second chance love. She is one of my favorite authors and I love her characters in the town of Wishful

As a fan of friends-to-lovers romance, as well as the Wishful series by Kait Nolan, I was excited to read Lexi and Zach’s story. While Lexi has been living with hurt feelings since high school, Zach’s been missing his best friend and doesn’t understand why she backed away from him. I can totally understand Lexi’s heartbreak, but she needs to be brave and share those feelings with Zach. And while Zach is super excited to see Lexi again, he’s clueless as to the more than friends connection with Lexi.
Great characters, an easy read that I couldn’t put down and lots of romance are exactly what I receive every time I pick up a book by Kait Nolan. You can dive into the series at any point, because although they exist in the same world, each book is a stand-alone.
I love Kait Nolan’s novellas. I get so caught up in the characters that I finish it in one day. This story is a new twist. Lexi comes home to her best friend she has been estranged from, Zach, and he wants to resume the friendship! The story goes from there .. I don’t want to give anything away. Kait Nolan puts so much personality into her characters you are able to picture them in your mind. Her stories make you “settle in” and let go of the everyday drudgery. Highly recommend this book.

Compact but well-fleshed, the characters were real and the plot quick and engaging. My Daughter in Law is a professional photographer and the technical aspects were well researched.
It was shorter than I usually like but quite enjoyable,
I am a great fan of Kait Nolan’s. I love her books. This book is about High School. And specifically about High School Prom. High School can be a difficult time in a young person’s life. Prom can also be a difficult thing for a high schooler. Does the right guy ask you to prom? Do you ask him? Is the right dress found? Can she afford the dress of her dreams? All questions that can be very stressful to a young person. Alexa is no exception. Her experience is so awful it takes her away from her town for ten years.
First I have to say how excited I was to find out there was a new Wishful book! This was such a sweet friends to more story. Even though it was pretty short, it still felt complete. This one deals with a lot of lesser mentioned Wishful residents. In fact, I don’t remember a mention of Lexi or Zach before, but we have seen most of their friends crop up in other books. This was just sweet enough to satisfy my need for more of Wishful. Can’t wait for the next installment
I loved this book!! I would give it 10 stars if I could and I don’t even give 5 stars very often. Lexi and Zach were best friends then she asked him to prom. Let’s just say things didn’t go the way her wanted. Fast forward 10 years and Zach is still pretty oblivious to why they drifted apart and he wants his best friend back. Wow just wow. Lexi is so sweet, adorable, cute and clueless to how guys see her – but she still only wants Zach. Too bad he is still clueless – loved how his friends reacted to his cluelessness. The ride was awesome but the ending was amazing!!! This is one book I will keep and re read – I don’t do that very often. This author just has a way with words and I have read almost all of her books.

The town of Wishful is a very special place where old hurts can be mended and real love can be found. Lexi and Zach were best friends in high school and a terrible misunderstanding about prom causes Lexi to bury her feelings for Zach and flee Wishful. When her mom is injured, Lexi returns to take care of her and Zach is there waiting, ready to resume a friendship with his best friend. He hires her to work with him in his photography studio and the more time he spends with her, the more he really ‘sees’ her but is Lexi willing to take that risk again? With the help of some well meaning friends, can they figure it out and find their HEA? Kait Nolan delivers another beautiful story from the small town of Wishful so don’t miss out!

Another good book in the Wishful series

Enjoyed this book very much. Kait Nolan is a favorite of mine. This book at times made me want to sit Lexi & Zach in a room and force them to honestly talk! Lexi had loved Zach since high school, poor Zach thought of her as his longtime best friend, could not figure out why she left after graduation, sometime males can be so dense!

Nolan has invited us back to Wishful and as always, it’s worth the trip!
Her knack for creating believable characters you care about from he first page is evident once again. A do-over pron? I think I’d rather pass, but the friends in this novella make sure the shero doesn’t let the past rule (and ruin) her future.
So good I would have liked MORE of it, but all good things must end. If you’re looking for a feel-good romance with a little steam and a one-hundred percent happy ending, grab this book today!

When Lexi’s mother breaks her ankle, Lexi has no choice but to go back to Wishful. Lexi has avoided running into Zach on her previous trips home, but now it is inevitable. Unknown to Zach, he was part of the most humiliating part of her life. With a reunion around the corner, Lexi doesn’t want to revisit her high school experience. I received a free copy of this book from the author through Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. When I pick up a Wishful book, I know that I am getting a good story. Zach being clueless drove me a little crazy but this was still a wonderful second chance romance. I highly recommend this series.
