From New York Times Bestselling Author Kristen Proby comes an all-new novel in her beloved With Me In Seattle Series, Dance With Me.Starla. Just Starla. She doesn’t have a last name, and she doesn’t need one. Not with that many Grammys on her mantel. Everyone knows her kick-ass, no-holds-barred style of singing, dancing, and living. No one knows that America’s Sweetheart is still living with the … still living with the wreckage of four years ago, when her world was torn apart. Losing her fiancé was devastating, but she’s channeled all of that into her music. Closing off her heart opened a hundred new doors.
Officer Levi Crawford, Seattle PD.
For almost twenty years, Levi has been consumed by the law. He eats, sleeps, and breathes work. Not just because he’s a workaholic, but because he loves it. Sure, he doesn’t have time for a woman and barely sees the rest of his family, but it’s a trade he’s always been happy to make.
Until Starla.
Two lonely hearts could learn to beat again, if they’re willing to dance together.

Sweet and sexy!
I fell so hard and fast for Levi. He caught my attention in prior books with his quiet brooding and insightful wisdom that he shared with his brothers, but Dance With Me has made me see him for the extremely sexy, fiercely protective alpha male he is!
I was hooked from the moment I read the prologue; I just wanted to devour the book in one sitting since this had been a long time coming for me. The attraction between Levi and Starla started in Love With Me and it was clear that these two were definitely on a path to each other since then.
“You’re mine, Starla. You’ve been mine for a long time. Maybe forever. It just took me more than forty years to find you.”
*Le Sigh* I mean, what girl can resist a guy who says that to her?! Not Starla, that’s for sure…and I can’t really blame her! Levi’s just all the things we’ve come to love from Kristen’s leading men: charming, caring, attentive, & so damn sexy — she never fails to make her newest leading man my favorite leading man!
Fans of this series will adore going back to see familiar faces and new love unfold! Bittersweet emotion, a twist of danger, and a whole lot of steam–Kristen Proby gives us everything in Dance With Me!
I loved this book and didn’t want to put it down. I loved how strong Starla was and I am glad that Levi was there to help keep her safe. I loved that Levi wanted to be there for Starla. These two were so good together and I thought the way she told him she loves him was the sweetest thing. This was a great addition to this series.
Love all the books in this series. The characters are strong, sexy and their stories keep you turning the pages. Kristen Proby puts out a new book and it’s in my library as soon I see it.
I’ve been waiting for Levi’s book since I first met him in Jace and Wyatt’s books! I love a man with some gray in his hair, add to that him being a total alpha and I’m officially obsessed. He may be my perfect hero!
From the very beginning of this story you are completely aware of the intense chemistry between Starla and Levi! It’s scorching y’all!! I love a story that starts with that person you just can’t shake no matter how much time or distance is between you. I also loved the dynamics of Levi and Starla’s relationship. He’s the over-protective cop and she’s the strong willed, independent superstar that isn’t quite ready to accept the safety and security he offers. It was magic!
Dance with me was a thrilling ride at times with plenty of suspense. It has a “who done it” vibe without totally committing to that as the focus of the story. It’s woven throughout in little moments. Yet somehow managed some of the most tender, sweet moments. There are wonderful moments/scenes with our favorite With Me in Seattle Characters…and as if that’s not enough we get a quick visit to Cunningham Falls and some of our Big Sky peeps too!
Loved this book and I love Levi Crawford!

I always love revisiting the Seattle family Ms. Proby has built for us, so I was definitely looking forward to Dance With Me! Starla and Levi’s story did not disappoint as it hits high gear from the very first page.
Starla is still living with guilt after her fiance’s death several years ago, and she responds by throwing herself completely into her work until she has driven herself to exhaustion. Doctors orders for 3 months of rest do not sit well with the active and fiercely independent star but she can’t deny her body is telling her she needs some down time. So she is off to Seattle to see her old friend Meredith and get away from it all.
The first time Levi and Starla connected he was left wanting more but found himself unceremoniously ignored. Now that she is back in Seattle for a few months, the sparks are still flying and he decides she is worth risking his heart a second time. There are plenty of sexy, sweet and hot moments for sure, but it doesn’t take long for Levi to realize a threat to Starla’s life is threatening everything.
Dance with Me was another well written story in a favorite series with everything that I have to come to expect and love from this author. The girls night out had me laughing out loud, the chemistry between Starla and Levi was excellent, and the interactions with familiar faces from other books in the series felt like coming home.
Hell yeah!! Back amongst family and friends! Yes, that’s how I feel when I open a ‘With Me in Seattle’ novel. The Montgomerys and Williams engulf you in an embrace that feels like a warm snuggly blanket. Family is not just bound by blood and Starla soon finds that out when she relocates to Seattle for some much needed R&R.
Almost from day one, Levi is there, after the way things ended when he last saw her he us determined to keep away…..but he can’t. They are like two magnets, constantly drawn to each other and fitting together like two perfectly imperfect jigsaw pieces. These two totally melted ny heart and when danger lurks, Levi’s protective nature goes into overdrive!
It was fabulous to catch up with some of the family too, reminding me again why I love this series so much!!

With one of the HOTTEST prologues I’ve read in a long time, Kristen Proby certainly set quite the delicious tone for her latest release, . This beauitful, emotional, and sexy romance features two characters that you will have absolutely no problems falling in love with…a sassy heroine that knows how to handle herself and an alphalicious hero who will MAKE. YOU. MELT. The journey to Starla and Levi’s happily ever after was a swoony one, an entertaining one, and an unforgettable one. If you’re looking for an escape to your happy place, this novel is the book for you.

DNF. I couldn’t get into this one. The book opens with the hero and heroine having sex. There wasn’t much attempt to develop an emotional connection between the two. Then the heroine ghosts the hero and they reconnect later in Seattle. I normally will sit and read Proby’s books in one sitting but this one didn’t really appeal to me.
I couldn’t turn off this audiobook! How does a cop from Seattle and a famous singer make it work. Well they do!
“They can’t hurt me. You’re mine, Starla. You’ve been mine for a long time. Maybe forever. It just took me more than forty years to find you.”
A man and a woman. A one night stand. So far, no problem. But when you’re a famous singer who decides to take a man she just met and who was introduced by her friend to her hotel room, the chances of that night not being so casual is huge. And that’s exactly what happens.
Starla avoids Levi at all costs after the night they spent together. But when her doctor recommends that she take a vacation to rest and she ends up accepting her friend’s offer and goes to Seattle, avoiding Levi will be more difficult than she imagines. After all, his brother lives in the house opposite where she is staying. And Levi can be quite persistent as she will find out.
A famous singer. One cop. A woman dealing with guilt over the death of her fiancé. A man trying to make the woman he’s interested in gives the relationship a chance. Two extremely stubborn people, strong-willed, but with absurd chemistry. And a stalker who threatens Starla’s life and Levi’s sanity.
With a slow rhythm, without major twists despite a certain suspense, the book is centered on the main couple, showing the relationship between the two, analyzing the differences between the worlds in which each one lives, focusing a little on the stories of the past to explain the personalities of the two and foremost, showing that when it comes to questions of the heart, sometimes what is logical or seems right is far from the best choice.
Levi and Starla are a good couple despite the turbulent start, uncertain and full of doubts on her part. Some clichés are present, but are expected in a novel. Starla learned to listen to the beating of her own heart. And found in Levi the perfect melody.

The With Me in Seattle series by Kristen Proby just gained another gem. Dance with Me is beautiful, sexy and sweet. Kristen Proby returned to her roots with the twelfth book in her With Me in Seattle series, and I found myself nostalgic considering Come Away With Me was the very first book I read by the author and responsible for my love affair with her words. The dual POV romance was everything a sweet, sexy read should be and it brought me back to the very heart of my love for Kristen’s words… the scorching how stories she writes nested in a deeply romantic storyline. Kristen Proby remains one of my very favorite authors after seven years of following her career. I loved our heroine, a pop-princess who gets a second chance at love with a Seattle based cop. Much like all the characters Kristen writes, Levi and Starla will leave you with heatstroke and grinning from ear to ear as their story unfolds. If you are a long-standing fan of the series, you will recognize cameos from many past favorites and already know that Levi and Starla met in a previous book… but have no fear, all of the books in this wonderful series are written as standalones and do not need to be read in any particular order. Starla was a down to earth heroine and quite the opposite of what I expected. And Levi… **huge sigh** Levi was a hot, protective and oh so sexy as he protects Starla—the woman he never wanted anything less than forever with—from a stalker that gets more and more brazen. Pick up this one NOW and get to reading!

Quotes:
I like Levi. I want him. And that hasn’t happened in a long time. But I’m also broken, and he deserves better. So it’s for the best that we just go our separate ways, calling last night exactly what it was. A one-night stand.
I tried to contact her, but she ghosted me. It was humiliating. I didn’t consider what we did to be a one-night stand. One-night stands don’t feel like that.
I can feel the electricity flowing between us like a rushing river.
“You make me feel things no one else ever has, and that both scares and thrills me.”
We can never go wrong coming back to this series. This book has family, romance, but something this one has is some mystery and danger.
Kristen did a great job because I was completely wrong on who the bad guy was/is. What started as just a guy trying to get to know the girl turned out to him completely changing his life and his goals for the woman he falls in love with.
I have read every book in the With Me In Seattle series. This one just didn’t have any Wow factor for me. It was an okay book, but I just didn’t connect with it as much as I have the others. Levi and Starla are great together. I think if I had to say the reason I gave it 3 instead of 4 stars is that sometimes the story jumped and seemed to rush into different places. Other people will love it. I still love Kristen Proby.
Dance With Me is a cosmic dream on swoony overdrive!
Just when I think I’ve read it all. Then Dance With Me lands on my iPhone and I’m not kidding when I say I lost my shit!!!
Full on happiness, plus deliriousness occurred with the epic loss of sleep and the sheer mouth waterness connection that just blew up the pages.
WOW!!! Levi!!!!!!!! You can now call him my dream boat and one that is needed in every one of my fantasies!
I don’t even know where to start with this review. I loved LOVED this book. Kristen does it again with her amazing story telling that has you on your toes and has you on the edge of the seat wondering what is going to happen next. Then you read it and you are like OMG I need more and you end up reading all night or day until you are done reading.
Starla and Levi are both amazing characters as Starla is a big time Singer and Levi is a Police officer. Starla has so many grammy’s that she is a household name where levi is a workaholic and has no time for anyone but his job. When these two meet it is explosive and amazing all at the same time. Both are lonely but when they meet that goes out the window and love comes in.
This is a romance you must read because it is all kinds of swoony and all the feels of love.
Kristen Proby is one of my favorite contemporary romance authors because she seamlessly blends sweet, steamy, and swoon worthy moments into an emotionally charged story line – one that illustrates what her hero and heroine are made of and why they belong together, despite the pain experienced, differing lifestyles, and uphill battle that may be needed to climb.
Ever since Kristen Proby introduced me to Natalie Conner and Luke Williams in Come Away With Me, the first book in her With Me in Seattle series, I’ve felt like an honorary family member/friend of this amazing group of characters. I’ve been here for life’s highs and lows, the celebrations and tragedies, the push and pull of the heroes and heroines, and through it all, I’ve gained a greater appreciation for how Proby creates her multifaceted characters and constructs her stories, doing so in such a way that readers can’t help but fall in love with both the main and supporting members of her world and hope that she always comes back to her With Me in Seattle roots every now and again to check up on readers’ favorites while also introducing new characters for us to fall in love with, just like we’ve done with every couple whose stories have already been told.
Starla is exactly the kind of kickass heroine I adore. There’s a depth to her that is built on the tragic events of her life as well as her determination to channel the pain and grief in a productive way. She’s a superstar in the music industry and in the eyes of the public, but she’s not a stuck up or spoiled girl who doesn’t appreciate how much good she has in her life. But as much as she loves her work and her fans, she’s run herself ragged and needs a chance to rest, heal, and rejuvenate, and she just so happens to have an amazing group of friends who have her back, including a certain police officer who’s not going to waste his second chance with her.
Levi Crawford is another sexy Kristen Proby alpha male. He’s passionate, driven, and protective, and while he’s focused on his work for the past 20 years, Starla makes him want to try for more in his life…for love, and because he’s not a man who gives up easily, Starla’s reemergence in Seattle is an opportunity he never thought he would have and, even though he’s cautious, he plans to prove to Starla and to himself that they can have it all together regardless of their past hangups or insecurities.
Starla and Levi’s story brings readers all the feels that they’ve come to expect from Proby’s storytelling, and while Dance With Me is a fairly light and easy read, the story is built on the idea that love will always see people through and that even though life’s opportunities when it comes to love can both hurt and heal, build up and tear down, what’s made beyond clear is that love is worth it…it’s worth the heartache, the grief, the memories that never dissipate because in the end, having someone to love who loves you back makes everything that was experienced in the past worth it to have the person they love by their side and ready to embark on this crazy journey of life side by side.
4.5 Poison Apples
Every time I read a With Me In Seattle Series it feels like I’m returning home. These characters are like family to me, and I’m so glad I got to add Starla and Levi to it. This book was sexy, fun, mysterious, and intense all rolled in to one. Levi is a perfect hero. Sweet. Protective. Sexy. Understanding. Everything you want in a hero. My heart aches for him, and the situations he faced throughout the story. Starla was amazing. She fit in perfectly with the Seattle crew, and is such a strong heroine.
I loved catching up with some of my favorite characters, and the “getaway” they went on??? PERFECT!
This story was well written, and had me sucked in from the start. I would definitely recommend one clicking!!!
Kristen Proby has delivered us a delicious read with Dance With Me. She gave us a romantic read that will keep you hooked with some brilliant twists and turns.
Starla is a huge pop sensation and after her tour is over she is under doctors orders to take a break so she heads back to spend time in Seattle with some friends. She just never expected to see Levi again. The fact he’s a cop and shes in trouble sparks off his over protective instincts.
The chemistry between Levi and Starla is palpable and off the charts even after all this time. He still wants her. I so loved watching them rekindle their relationship and for their connection to grow.
It was lovely seeing some past characters popping up. I want to go back and read this series again.
