Quinn is caught in a tangled web of deceits and horrors, but … and horrors, but she’ll do whatever it takes to see her daughter safely out of Lee’s clutches.
The players might have changed, but her goal remains the same.
Freedom.
Damaged is the second book in the Omega’s Destruction series, a raw and thrilling Omegaverse tale. It is not a traditional romance, containing dark themes and complete power exchange. These scenes are not glossed over and may upset some readers. If this material offends you, please do not purchase.

An Omega’s life is not for the faint of heart. They are seen as the weakest link in their society, but here in this series, Eve Dresden has made her omega strong of heart and determination to gain a life of love and dignity. The series is hard to read, because of the abuse an Omega is expected to take, but readers must remember that they are reading a fictionalized world with different social customs than our own.
Find your happy place!
This book was a tough read! So much evil and mind-fucking going on. I was really losing hope for a while.
But in the end, it seems to get better.
We’re not at our HEA yet though, I wonder how long left now… I am desperate for my happy place!!
Fucking hell! Eva Dresden has done it again! ripped my fucking heart out, torn it to pieces and stomped all over it! how the hell she is going to put it back together again i have no idea.
OMG my heart aches and cries for all the shit that Quinn was put thru. The constant betrayal at every turn. Even by her own alpha. I’m not sure what he was thinking and what his reasoning was for that but damn Tobias has so much to make up for, and I’m not sure that he can pull it off. I cant wait to read the next book.
This was so dark and disturbing and heartbreaking. You start to get the feeling that Quinn will never know what a HEA is, and she really deserves it! There are definitely triggers in this book, so if you’re sensitive to that, you’d better tread carefully. If however, you like dark Omegaverse romances, I definitely recommend this!
It’s almost magical how the first book (broken) damaged me and this second book (damaged) broke me.
I bet you thought Quinn was going to get her happily ever after, I bet you thought she could go through no more, I know you thought there would be a little reprieve for this beautiful and sad Omega; YOU WERE WRONG!!!!!
Our poor Quinn has to fight the good fight not only for her mental state, her life but also her babies lives. She has the strength and tenacity of a million warriors through out this book, she took just so damn much and made it through. Her Alpha never stopped looking but has the damages already been done?
This was an awe inspiring book by Eva Dresden and I cannot wait for the 3rd book to make it’s debut. Eva has definitely become a one click author for me.
To quote wicked “who can say I’ve (Quinn, me) been changed for the better? But because I knew you, I’ve (Quinn, me) been changed for good.”
You can’t read this without reading Broken, book 1, because this picks up right where that one ends.
Holy emotional breakdown! I’m pretty sure I sobbed through this entire book. It’s crazy intense and gut wrenching. It’s also hot, sexy, and amazing. There is an element of suspense because you never know what horror Quinn is going to experience next. Who can she trust? Who is going to protect her and give her the nurturing she needs? Is she going to completely break, and if she does, then what? Even after finishing, I’m still an emotional wreck.
This is the perfect series for all those readers who love the dark.
I don’t even know how to write this review and do the book justice ! So I will just dive right in to this complex and dark And beautiful book ! Firstly this book is not for the faint hearted ! If your looking for a happy ending it’s definitely not in this book but you do get a gentle reprieve towards the end of the book I guess…… maybe a happy ending will come in the next book!
So this book picks of from the last book where Quinn is still separated from Kahler, and she’s jumped from the frying pan into the fire; left doing anything and everything she can to keep the baby safe has left Quinn with some unsavoury alphas to say the least !
Quinn’s fight has just begun as she does everything in her power as an omega to keep her baby safe, using and trading her body, wits, submission and sanity for false safety and a desperate hope that Kahler will safe her and Elise…………
I won’t ruin the book for you as this is a spoiler free zone however this is definitely my must read of 2019 especially if you are a fan of omega verse books as Dresden’s writing is artistically beautiful and gut wrenchingly gripping !
The darkness is never ending and for Quinn the fight for herself and her baby continues. For our Omega, this new place just means new Alphas with different agendas that she needs to be on the lookout for. Nothing is easy here in this book and you feel for everything she goes through.
Another book which keeps you on the edge of your seat and pulls you into the darkness too. I loved it and can’t wait for the next read.
holy shiiiiii et this was crazy! so so much going on, it felt like I was there! this would be one heck of a rated R movie. this was like… the emotions and drama from the first book multiplied by three. three times was the false sense of hope I was lead to believe while reading the story. unpredictable and full of plots. thought she was saved just to have it slammed in our faces. so much twists and turns. absolute brilliance that will leave you in sadness and despair. I wasn’t expected a part three until I reached the ending. ugh, this was a great read.
Damaged is the 2nd book in Dresden’s 3-book series, Omega’s Destruction. Following a reading of the 1st book, Broken, I wrote that this was an extremely dark romance series. So dark, it seemed there was no hope of any light in Quinn and Tobias’ future. In Damaged, the mood has not changed. Quinn’s world remains ultra-dark; more especially because she has been abducted, physically and mentally abused by multiple perpetrators since she was kidnapped from Tobias’ home. Damaged relates her time living with Lee, a very powerful Alpha crime lord and his band of Alpha-thugs. I spent two-thirds of the book with my stomach muscles clenched, feeling the anxiety that Quinn lived with daily in Lee’s clutches. Lee is devoid of a conscience basically. She worries day and night over the future of her (and Tobias’) newborn daughter, Elise. The bond Tobias had initiated in her when he mated with her drives her insane nightly, causing what she believes are hallucinations of him. Lee’s second, Ilya, begins showing affectionate attention to Quinn, and she doesn’t know whether she can trust him or not. I experienced fist-clenching worry over whether Quinn would be able to survive living amongst a pack of rabid Alphas. Would Lee or Ilya harm her? Maybe they really would tear Elise away from her. I cried a lot too, agitated over those fears and whether or not Tobias would find her and rescue the two of them. As I knew it would, Damaged ends in a cliffhanger, awaiting book #3 to enlighten us about the fate of Quinn, her mate Tobias and their children.
I don’t even know what to say other than how in the world is Quinn even still alive? Good lord, the abuse she goes through on a regular basis is truly enough to turn your stomach. I have a pretty high threshold for dark reads, but there were times I really had to cringe and take a couple of minutes to get through some of it. I admit I hoped for a different result at the end this book, but I am also very much looking forward to the next book. I have no idea where Eva is going with this, but I am 100% on this crazy train til the end.

Wow…I am at a loss for words, and that pretty much never happens, lol.
I was blown away with Broken and literally planned two whole days to myself just to get lost in Damaged.
I bought chocolate Hobnobs, fresh coffee beans, whipped cream for the coffee, and chocolate sprinkles for that.
I stocked up my bedside table with chocolate buttons and cheese crackers (don’t judge me – I’m PMSing), and I jumped into my nest (aka the bed of a thousand blankets and pillows).
And I got lost.
I got lost in this darky dangerous world that Eve has given me.
I got lost in Quinn’s agony.
I got lost in the sheer power of so many alpha males.
I got lost in a world where might makes right.
I got lost in scorching hot sex scenes.
She wrote this story in such a way that I became Quinn.
I held her hopes and dreams.
I felt her pain.
I’m pretty sure that was slick in my bed…
I loved her daughter.
I felt my body tense when she fought.
I craved her mate!
This is a different style of review for me because this is a different feeling for me.
I got so carried away that I caught my husband giving me side glances wondering if it was okay to approach me again-or would I lift my lip and growl at him…for the third time.
I will, however, do my duty and share with you a scene that got me going, lol.
Something between fear, anger, and desire twisted through her, pulsing low in her belly as her thighs clenched in reflex. The heat of arousal burned her fingers, her grip slipping with the proof of her excitement as she avoided meeting his eyes. The flush of shame swirling with need felt too hot, searing her cheeks and chest. “Fuck yourself, kiska. Show me.” A surreptitious glance showed her too much and yet not enough. He stood over her, chest heaving with his panting breaths, each exhalation a low growl. The thick length of his cock, throbbing and leaking his excitement, was caught tight in his fist, but he didn’t stroke it. Staring at her exposed pussy, the blistering intensity of his gaze centered on where her shaking hands pinched back pink flesh.
FINAL THOUGHTS on DAMAGED by Eva Dresden.
This book was everything I needed it to be and more.
I LOVED how primal, raw and rough it was.
If you like Omegaverse and dark erotic stories then please, please do yourself a favour and read this amazing series.
5 Stars just aren’t enough.
At the end of Broken, I thought to myself: “It shouldn’t get too much worse for Quinn…” Boy was I wrong. The second book in this series plunges ever deeper into the Hell that has become Quinn’s life. A Baby to protect and a Mating Bond that will not quit, these are the things that keep Quinn alive. When Tobias finally comes for her, things do not improve. Quinn’s sense of self is the victim of Tobias’ dominance. I am uncertain that Quinn will survive, even though Tobias is determined to keep her body alive. I wait with baited breath for the 3rd installment to set things right, or not….
Wow. This book definitely takes the reader on a roller coaster ride. It’s the second part of a series and I can’t say it’s a romance. It’s am omegaverse taken to the extreme. The action is exciting and you never know which direction it’s gonna go.
A descent into cruelty and madness
I think Eva Dresden is even crueller to Quinn, than Addison Cain is to her omega heroines! However the fires of hell have truly forged her into a strong weapon, one who bides her time, chooses her moment and is prepared to sacrifice her very soul to save her daughter. This book is not just dark, it is viscous in its evil intent, dragging your soul down into its murky depths and tearing at your heart. And I loved every minute of the pain and despair.
Quinn forgot an essential truth, that an omega can never trust an alpha, forgot they view her as little more than an incubator, forgot her value lay in her ability to breed. Promises are lies, and kindnesses hide true intent. With a child to protect Quinn balances on the edge of a knife blade, trading her body for supposed safety, trading her soul for enough sanity to survive.
Tobias is determined to claim back what is his, but will he want want Quinn when he sees the damage wrought to her body? When he sees the evidence of the price of her survival? If he finds her will he forgive her? Can she forgive him? Despite being determined to reclaim her, whatever the costs, despite thinking he’s doing what is right, I’m not sure if Tobias has earned any forgiveness yet. He clearly hasn’t heard the saying “If you love someone set them free”.
I really don’t know how Quinn holds on to her sanity and hope. I’m sure if it wasn’t for Elise, Quinn would have let go of both by now. Her spirit was ‘Broken’ in book #1, her body and mind were ‘Damaged’ in this book, I hate to think what will happen in ‘Destroyed’! I have a sneaking suspicion that Ilya and Curtis may be involved, along with some nefarious plans.
PS It’s a while since I read book 1 and so much happens towards the end of it that I do recommend a quick re-read of at least the last third.
The second book is as good if not better than the first. How Quinn hasn’t broken completely is beyond me with what she is going through.
Quinn has been taken in by Lee, who is a very bad man. She has her baby but had a hard time giving birth. She has a baby girl she names Elise. She loves this baby and vows to be a better mother than hers was, to protect her. Life doesn’t get any easier because they (Lee and Ilya) have plains for her. Lee is cruel and mean to her. Ilya (Lee’s right hand man) makes her fall for him. He treats her better than Lee. There is a plan in place but Quinn has her own plans to try and get her and Elise out of there. The plan falls apart and Quinn is subjected to brutal horrors. Then suddenly she is rescued by Tobias, who has been trying to find her all along. Quinn is reluctant as she feels she has traded one prison for another. What does fate now have in store for her? We’ll have to wait for the next book.
This series is beyond addicting! This book picks up not too long after the first one ended. Kahler is still searching for his omega and Quinn is still just trying to survive and figure out how to gain her freedom. Only now she is trying to do it from 2 VERY dangerous men. Lee is the boss of the new city she is now in and because she is pregnant he is protecting her. For now. Ilya wants Quinn for a mate and he is willing to share. But once again people are making plans for Quinn’s future and she doesn’t have a say in it. And soon there will be a baby to worry about as well. . .
Meanwhile Kahler is desperately searching for Quinn. And because of the mate bond he can connect with Quinn in her dreams. And he isn’t happy.
I REALLY didn’t like Lee or Ilya. Those 2 were cut from the same mold and they have plans and they don’t care what anyone else wants our thinks. And they are willing to hurt Quinn in order to get what they want.
Kahler just made me like him even more then before. You finally get a glimpse of his feelings and why he took Quinn. And the lengths he would go to, to keep her.
These books are by no means short, but when you get an author who writes this great the book flies by so fast you almost want to cry when you realize it is over. Especially since you have to wait for the next one! I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
Horrifying, brutal, & raw
Damaged is one of the most compelling, addictive books I’ve read in the Omegaverse genre.
An emotional read, I teared up many times. Eva Dresden is brave and unapologetic in her depiction of a misogynistic society where Alphas rule without retaliation. The author doesn’t shy away from the abusive behavior that would occur in such a society. While I appreciate this dose of realism, the gritty portrayal of an Omega suffering in such a society won’t be for everyone. I suggest checking out the warnings before starting this series.
Damaged is one of the roughest, most brutal Omegaverse stories I’ve read. What Quinn went through in Broken is a cake walk compared to what she goes through in Damaged. The Alpha’s Claim series by Addison Cain is a fluffy fairy tale compared to Quinn’s journey.
Damaged starts out with Quinn firmly under Lee’s control. A major portion of the book is Quinn dancing between Lee & Ilya. At only 20% things got so dark I lost all hope of revenge and redemption. I tossed all my expectations out the window and was just along for the ride.
If you can do that, you may enjoy this book.
Please note trigger warnings – reviews on Goodreads go more in depth about trigger warnings. If you’re the type of person who needs to read trigger warnings this series may not be for you.
Damaged is not a standalone, it must be read after Broken. Damaged ends on a soft cliffhanger, and according to the author the next book will be released early next year. Omega’s Destruction will be a trilogy.
Some rambling thoughts~
Tobias- I want to say so much, but it’s difficult without it being a spoiler. Eva Dresden stays true to her voice. Most the the book is from Quinn’s POV and Quinn goes through hell and back before she gets answers regarding Tobias.
Quinn goes through such degradation at the hands of Lee and Ilya – I truly wondered how Tobias and Quinn could ever come together again. Just when I was about to throw my kindle at the wall because I was so fed up with how much sexual violence came Quinn’s way Eva Dresden gave me hope. A thread to hold onto. I hung in there and Eva Dresden managed to pull it off in a way that left me satisfied. Warning: Tobias doesn’t change. He’s still a large shadow on the wall for the majority of the book. If you can hang in there there are eventually answers.
I appreciate the character continuity Tobias maintained; Eva Dresden didn’t soften him to satisfy readers wanting a lighter dark romance. Eva’s characterization for Tobias is solid, imo. I’m really impressed with Eva Dresden’s ability to craft characters that feel real and authentic.
I want to note that this author describes herself as a horror writer. Yes, she writes dark romance as well, but she’s also classified her own books as horror. The first chapter is available on Wattpad, and it’s tagged as ‘horror romance.’ If you look at Eva Dresden’s Goodreads profile she’s read almost all of Stephen King’s books…I think that says something about her influences. I’m not sure that many will get this reference, but for me Eva Dresden to Omegaverse is like Marilyn Harris to Bodice Rippers. Those familiar with Marilyn Harris will get this. Marilyn Harris doesn’t threaten a character – the threat is a promise and it will occur to the character or something worse will occur in its place. The men aren’t heroes; they’re often villains and they aren’t redeemed.
I’m anxiously awaiting the next book in this trilogy!
Poor Quinn has been through so much already, I don’t know how she can take any more. I don’t know how she will get a HEA, but that’s what we’ve been promised, and I can’t wait for the next book!
OMG…so much rawness. I thought the first 3/4 of the book was tough to get through but then I hit the last quarter of the book and I was just done. The funny thing was it was not as dark as the first 3/4 of the book. “A choice.” That pretty much sum it all up. What I wanted to see happen, happened and yet I wasn’t sure if that was a good idea. I hurt for everyone in the book. Damn Eva Dresden! Now I gotta wait for the last book. I might have to go back and read the first book again since there was some things that happened in it that I forgot. It should help clarify some of the questions that popped up while reading this book because it’s been a while. Please, please, please, if you do not like dub-con/non-consensual relationships, this is not the book for you. There is nothing vanilla about this book at all. Only dark and twisted minded readers of dark dark romance would enjoy this book.
