Jennifer Vester is like the queen of angsty twists and turns! Each book in the Lakefield series brings more intensity and drama than the last, and Damage being book five makes good on that promise. With tragic deaths, serial killers on the loose, and all of the emotional angst this book will leave you completely riveted and on the edge of your seat.
I love this book so much .. I bit sad that it the last of the series..
I Love how Cade and Suzy overcome everything and are very strong to continue by looking to look for the killers ….will all going on Will their relationship be able to last thru everything and with all tha pass3s in past ..it’s a must read boook ..you can feel the characters feeling …hurry get this book you will not regret it…
Cade and Suzanne Story was just as intense and good as the rest of this series. I can say I have loved each and every book for the stories were different but connected by the bond of people always looking out for one another. This author created a series of great stories and character and I have fallen in love with reading them all and I am sad to see them go.
WTF! I’m at a loss for words. I’m pretty sure I am in what is considered a book hangover, AND it is so worth it. This book was AMAZING! It is so worth it. Jennifer takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions. Each one of her male characters are hot and freaking ALPHA to the nth degree and Cade is no different. Suzie is a strong female character who is perfect for Cade. Her spunkiness rivals all the other girls put together and that is saying something since 1 of her best friends is Olivia. I will not post any spoilers, but I will say this: Everything is not as it seems, there are some grey areas and can I please have Cade?
Having a chance to love someone once you thought there was no hope left would probably break me. Suzanne, however, is someone to admire. She starts a new life among heartbreak and other past baggags, and is there for her mom. I love that she is able to stand her ground in what she believes. I love that despite having their own issues, all the women of these alpha men can hold their own.
Suzanne is trying to pick up the pieces of her life after the death of Cade and ended up in a really bad relationship with David but she has broken free and has decided to leave Lakefield and head to Bakersville to be close to her mom.
Yet soon she realizes that her new job is not what she has expected and she also learns that a serial killer is on the loose.
When Suzanne finds herself the latest target of the serial killer will she allow her past back in or will she stand straight and rely on the FBI to help protect her? Can Suzanne get over the hurt from the past and move onto a positive future?
This book was great from start to finish and with quite a few twists and turns to leave you shocked and wanting more!
I completely understood why Suzanne needed a fresh start and I was very mad at her for getting involved with David although I did understand that she was hurting. She has a great personality and I love that she doesn’t back down! Her shock at seeing certain things was completely warranted and I understood why she was mad and upset.
Mark made the decisions he needed to and I did understand his reasoning behind why it had to be him. I knew things would get crazy though with trying to keep everything together and under wraps.
I was so mad at Suzanne and her decisions to put herself at risk but I was very glad that she was able to reach out to Logan! There were so many twists and turns regarding the case and what was going on that I could not put the book down!!
All of the reveals were intense and I just needed to have more!!
I was completely shocked at the end and it kind of leaves you hanging a bit so I am hoping there will be another book!!
I enjoyed reading the Lakefield series. Damage was a fast paced, easy read and very hard to put down. This Suzanne and Cades story. When book 4 ended I felt bad for Suzanne when Cade died. I was excited to learn that wasn’t exactly true. In this book lots of things happen with Cade and Suzanne’s relationship. It’s not a easy feat dealing with an Alpha. Helps to have a strong minded and willed heroine. This book was the perfect ending to this series.
I have to say I really enjoyed this book. The characters with their struggles and working day after day to figure things out. When you think you know whats going to happen, bam something is thrown in there and your like WHAT….I love how easy the book reads and keeps you involved with the story and putting it down is not a easy thing to do.
Wow! I loved this story, it was unpredictable and a page Turner! I could not put it down once I started. Cade is trying to do the right thing! And does get some flack for the lies but in the end they all love him! Suzanne is shocked in a huge way but does adapt well and comes back to their romantic journey while looking for a killer! Cant wait for the next one.
Suzanne is ready to move on with her life. She was certainly a strong character because she has so much thrown her way and she continued on and handled it all. When she receives a big surprise can she move on?
This was a book full of romance, suspense and angst. It kept you guessing. There are twists you don’t see coming.
WOW!! JUST WOW!! SPEECHLESS!! Jennifer Vester Did It Again!! DAMAGE is the fifth book of the Lakefield Series and can be read as a Standalone. BUT I highly recommend you read them All!!
Cade and Suzanne’s Storytelling is So Beautifully written with a hint of Mysterious background. These two Characters have been through traumatic events in their Lives and they did not even Realized that they have Similar attraction towards each other. But one tragic event happens in BREAK, everyone morns and Hearts are broken.
Suzanne decides to move to a New place for a New start after a loss she didn’t realize that it affected her so heavily. But when she meets her new boss at her new job, there is something Very Familiar with his Eyes that she feels that her world starts to Spend out of control.
Cade didn’t know how this Sassy, Fiesty and Beautiful woman found him but is Not willing to Let Suzanne Out Of His Site Ever Again! He definitely confirms that He IS Who She thinks She is but has to keep in Secret from everyone around him, even his Best Friends & Family.
I really don’t want Spoil this Book for you but it is A Nonstop Suspenseful Action Book! From the Very beginning, you Wonder WHERE you are Ventured Next…since there is Serial Killer on the Lose. With Twists and Turns that will leave you Speechless AND Upside-down from a Rollercoaster Ride of Raw Emotions!
THIS IS A MUST READ BOOK AND Guarantee that you WILL NOT be Disappointed!!
So I liked this book, the suspense was really good! And not what I typically go for but I’m glad I did!
Suzanne and Cade’s story was great!
Suzanne is a hard-headed woman and don’t know when to listen.
Cade is your typical alpha male.
Together they are great!
You gotta read this book!
Love this author’s style, the words and story just flow. Another good read.
Suzanne is upset that she never got a chance to tell Caden that she like him and wanted to maybe try to date him. He was killed and left her wondering what to do now. She decided it was time to move back home and help her mom out since she was slipping from time to time. She found a job and that job had surprised her with the one thing she thought she would never see again. Caden who was now called Mark. Everything was happening so fast but Caden was on a job and no one knew. She wasn’t sure what to do but it took time and some talking and understanding to see that he was upset for what was going on. Still on the case and wanted Suzanne away till it was over but she is stubborn and he hates it. Will they solve the case? Do they get a happy ever after? Love this series.
Loved this series and this book is no exceptiuon. Best read in order as the story builds in each book. Please do not spoil it and go into this book without reading anything about it!!! A fantastic ending to this series.
Suzanne has had it with the heartache and sorrow that is everywhere she looks in Lakeview. Falling for her boss Cade but never telling him, the regret has cut her to the bone. So she decides to move back home to be there for her mom and see if she can’t restart her life. Working in bars and such has always been her go to for employment. So when she gets back to town, she head for a hot new club to get a job. But that is where things spin out of control. Will Suzanne have what it takes to survive?
This is the final book in the Lakeview series and I have adored every single one. There isn’t much that I can say that won’t reveal more than I want. Just please read the first four books in the series before you dive into Damage. It will be worth it, I promise. There is so much that has led up to this story and it was amazing to watch it all come together. Jennifer Vester is an amazing author and I am completely addicted to her stories.
Just the absolute best story. Everything I like to read about and more. Such a great story I will read again and again. A keeper!!
Ok. This book surprised me totally. I didnt see the twist at the beginning. Was not expecting it at all. I like it when an author can surprise me! The chemistry between the character and the fighting between them is awesome. Not some weak female. Didn’t want to stop reading. Of course I liked seeing the rest of the “family”too. Never dissatisfied!
5TH book in the Lakefield series
After Suzanne looses Cade, her secret love interest, she tries to get on with her life with out him. She decides to go back home to take care of her mom. She wants a fresh start. Suzanne gets a job at a bar and meets Mark.
Exciting and intriguing book with a lot of adventure and sizzle.
I really enjoyed Cade and Suzies story it had the perfect mix of drama, suspense and love. I thought I had figured things out early on but was still surprised by the twists. Brilliant to catch up with everyone. I loved this series and would recommend all of these books.
