Logan Maxwell, a winger for the Burlington Dragons, is stuck in Dallas and missing Christmas with his family. There’s no snow in this damn city, he’s lonely, and he can’t even remember the last time he hooked up with a guy. Spending his precious Christmas break with the other single players on the team could be great, he guessed, but for one thing; Archie Simard.Lusting after the brother of your … brother of your team captain is the worst idea in the history of bad ideas, Logan knows that. But when fate throws him and the temptation that is Archie together, it’s hard not to fall in love.

This was a lovely story that was especially touching and accurate dealing with the pain and fear of coming out. Logan and Archie were well written characters and made you feel what they were going through. Would love to see this story expanded into a full length book

Very Short Hockey Themed M/M at Christmas
RJ Scott has a knack for character development, but I was surprised at how well I felt I got to know Logan in this very short Christmas themed story about a hockey player coming to terms with who he is and what he can and cannot have. It’s always made me sad that so many athletes have to hide their sexuality to protect their careers, and unfortunately, hockey players are no exception. Logan has made a lot of sacrifices for his career, but none have stuck with him the way a month long secret romance with his captain’s brother Archie did the year before. I loved the passion between Archie and Logan, but this story was more about Logan facing who he is and what he wants…and realizing that more people care about who he really is than he thinks. This was a charming Christmas story — very short, but definitely put a smile on my face.

Logan and Archie spent some time together but now it is over. Logan needed to focus on his career and not on the little brother of a teammate. Logan is in Dallas for the Christmas holiday and to play a hockey game on the 27th of December. Archie ends up staying at the house that Logan is at. Logan is trying to stay away from Archie but it is getting harder to do. Archie is in love with Logan, but Logan will not admit that he loves Archie.
A great book to read.

He is alone for Christmas as he is with his single team mates in a city with no snow. He has not been with another man for some time but he does have a crush. Will being stuck in the same place help?.See if it will

This is a very short read but packed full of love and anguish. Logan is not out and knows that coming out will ruin his career.Archie is out but can’t get Logan to even answer his texts. This has a HEA so don’t worry and it is by RJ Scott so you know it has to be good.

This is intense, dramatic, sweet and romantic. Logan is stubborn, determined and scared. Archie is bold, determined and thoughtless. They met a year ago, had a hot and heavy relationship for a month, then walked away. Well Logan walked away, Archie kept contacting Logan. Then during the Christmas break Archie showed up at the house where Logan was staying, still determined to make Logan confess to loving him, and suddenly the secret was out. I did not like Archie, I thought of him as a near stalker. If he had loved Logan, he would have respected his wishes, and is career.

This is a sweet, emotional Christmas-themed short story. Logan’s fear of coming out was both frustrating and understandable. I wanted to yell at him to just be himself, but it can be a lot more complicated than that in the testosterone fueled arena of professional sports. I loved Archie’s steadfast perseverance and his willingness to fight for what he and Logan had together. I loved the great supporting characters, too.

A perfect morsel of a holiday story. This is a great story about overcoming fears and being true to yourself. Archie and Logan work towards their HEA. I really enjoyed this short story.
This is a MM short story romance set in the authors Burlington Dragons hockey world. This is a great story showing the prejudices that exist in professional sports. The characters are well developed. The pace is fast, I had a hard time putting it down. It is a great Christmas hockey story.

in the world of sports, being gay and out is not easy.
This story follows Logan and Archie through their journey – the struggles to find and hold onto love and a future – especially given the brevity of a pro sports career vs the potential longevity of a life love.

Dallas Christmas is another amazing love story by R.J. Scott! Logan just can’t get past his own self with his feelings for Archie. Pushing him away is the right thing to do for his career or is it? In this short Novella we learn that love is what matters most!
I wasn’t prepared for this story, it is so much more than I anticipated. My heart went out to Logan and Archie, both were suffering and it was heartbreaking. The author deliveres an emotionally charged story that is fast-paced, full of emotion, love, and hope. A terrific story worth reading.
This was a great short read and perfect for the holiday season. I loved Logan and enjoyed seeing him overcome his fears in order to grab hold of the love in front of him. I just wish it had been longer so that more depth could have been added but it was still very enjoyable.

I didn’t like Logan at first – felt like smacking him for a good portion of the book to get his head on straight – but his fears were understandable. There were a lot of emotions in this book Logan has to believe in him and Archie and it takes some time – he also finds that his teammates are more supportive than he thought they would be.
I’ve seen others say that this is part of a series to I will be going back to try and find them for my kindle to purchase if they are available.
This was a sweet, poignant, engaging, bittersweet, fantastic, sexy, and beautiful Christmas story that pulled me in from the very first page. R.J. Scott has a marvelous talent for writing short stories that pack quite a punch.

Wonderful Christmas short story in the Dragons Hockey series. Logan’s fear is palpable. He’s thrown away love and a future with Archie over it. He’s so sure that he will lose everything. When Archie shows up at the house the guys are staying at for Christmas he’s not sure where to run. The angry words and tone he uses with Archie hurt, but Archie keeps on loving him. He tells Archie that if he’d only admit his love that Archie would fight for him. It impressed me the way the guys rallied around Logan in support. Logan’s mom gives him the advice and strength he needs to do what his heart wants. Loved the ending.
Wow. This is so good. Logan is in an impossible situation and it all comes to a head at Christmas. What should he do about Archie? There is a lot of emotion and soul-searching packed between the pages. The one thing that does not change is Archie and his steadfastness. This story is not to be missed.
Everyone needs an Archie.
