Space. My home, my dream….Well, it was, but not like this. My fantasies of daring space adventure on a cutting edge Explorer are reduced to the yawnfest of jockeying a mining cargo ship back and forth from the asteroids to Earth. It’s not the life of excitement I dreamed of as a little girl. That is until I make first contact. Me. First contact. With Dakstal, the Leviatho Commander. He’s jacked. … Leviatho Commander.
He’s jacked. Like really big and he has four arms, scales and fins. A real life merman! I’m going to be the most famous pilot in all of history for discovering these guys.
My delusions of grandeur meet a quick end because as it turns out the Leviatho are on the run. The last of their race come seeking sanctuary on Earth from the Kriall, the enemies that are trying to destroy them. When the xenocidal maniacs show up, every person on Earth is in danger and it’s going to be up to us to save them, whether Earth wants us to or not.

A very well written must read. Exciting, enjoyable, twists and turns, dramatic, danger from first page to last. Read the blurb. I don’t want to put spoilers here. An earth girl and an alien and love. And in comes bad aliens from space. I received a review copy from booksprout and voluntarily review it.

Out of the darkness
What a great first contact. Well for the ladies and the aliens anyway. Earth will always be Earth, so that was not really a surprise. I enjoyed the way these two characters came together to reach their HEA. It looks like there may be more books in the future, I hope there will be some babies. I can’t wait to read the next book.
This is a very well-written new series with some really interesting characters that are well-fleshed out and grow throughout the story. This story has action, adventure, twists/turns, danger, steam and love. I really love how the characters interact with each other, it make the characters seem real and like I know them. A must read story and new series.

Another Amazing book by Miranda Martin! Dakstal is the first book in the Leviatho series and what a great start!
Christa works on a mining cargo ship, not the dream that she expects going from asteroids to Earth and back. Until she met an alien and made first contact.
Dakstal is the Leviatho Commander. On the run from the Kriall, they plan to seek sanctuary on Earth.
He’s hot and sexy, the attraction between Christa and Dakstal is sizzling hot. There’s a problem though, the xenocidal Krialls follows Dakstal to Earth and now everyone is in danger.
I was so enthralled with this book that I read it in a matter of hours! I couldn’t put this book down! The story is fast pace, full of action, twist and turns, intrigue and of course some hot and steamy scenes! You definitely want to read this book! You won’t regret it, i can’t wait to see what else comes!

Beginning a new series is always tough as there is so much world building that must be integrated into the love story. In a nutshell, the Leviatho have been torn apart by the evil Kriall because the Leviatho planets have water. Dakstal is in command of a small group of airships when he sees his home and people destroyed. The only option to save his species is to retreat.
Christa always wanted to go on space adventures and had her eyes set to the sky. While she is piloting her own spacecraft she has had to take a routine and dare I say it…boring job. But it is still better than where she had been.
Seeking asylum for him and his people, Dakstal wants to go to Earth because it is mainly water. Christa tries to help him and now they are on the run. I found the book good and I’m very interested in reading the next in the series. Dakstal’s species seems very unique and hooked my interest.

Another remarkable alien race by Miranda Martin. Dreams coming true, family connections, and romance in space. My question for the next book: Please can I see the babies???
Four-armed fizzle
This might have been a good book IF:
1. The author had taken time to craft a coherent story. It is so disjointed it reads like it was written by a committee of high-schoolers.
2. There was anything attractive or sexy about the alien hero. This guy has no personality whatsoever. He certainly isn’t sexy.
3. The heroine who keeps insisting she’s NOT too stupid to live was not, in fact, exactly that. Plus, she sounds like a fifteen-year-old. Not sexy al all.
4. The author had found and employed a competent editor and a team of beta readers. This is first-draft quality.
I received an ARC copy of this book via Booksprout. I’d be mad if I had purchased it.
When faced paranoia and suspicion!
by sewsummore
Christa has always dreamed of exploring space but instead of exploring she ends up being a space transport pilot transporting ore back to earth. A chance meeting with group of Leviathon refugees makes her the first person to come in contact with an alien life form. When Dakstal, the Commander of the last Leviathon Space Fleet request refuge on Earth she takes him and some of his crew to Space Corp Headquarters where they are imprisoned instead of welcomed. With the help of her estranged Space Pirate sister she manages to rescue him and his crew. This was a story that held my attention to the end. When they warn Earth of a dangerous Alien Invaders searching for Earth Christa and her sister have to make a decision, leave the with Aliens or return to Earth as fugitives. This was a well thought out story line, believable in many ways. The paranoia that is exhibited when some people face others who are of different color or have different beliefs is an example. I am sure if earth was asked for refuge by aliens great panic and suspicion would ensue. This book is also a love story that overcomes pitfalls to end happily with a love that is strong and true. I look forward in the future to other books about the Leviathons and human refugees.

Picture it, you’re a space marine managing a cargo ship on a spaceship appears out of nowhere and hyperspace coming straight at you. You can’t believe you’re eyes because not one but three ships have appeared and is now seeking help from you so that they do not become victims of genocide like the rest of their planet. Hmmmmm, the humanitarian of you believes that you can help them but you’re not sure if your fellow man and superiors will help. Your fears are confirmed. Now you have to help them survive, or do you? This is one crazy book that was very interesting. When you fast forward to the future and you have Aquamen who are in need of your help, do you do the right thing? It’s falling in love with the Kalandar a good choice or is it just basically animal instinct taking over? How much are you willing to sacrifice to make sure that his species does not die? Who are you going to get to help you fulfill this mission that you take it upon yourself to for fill?
Great characters, interesting perception on how one relies on their superiors only to be disappointed. It is a HEA with a feature of more series books to come that are definitely a standalone from the looks of it. There are a few grammar errors in the book but nothing to dissuade you from getting into the story, the characters, and decisions the characters need or should be make in order to come to the right conclusion.

Love it…. Definitely a Must Read!
Dakstal is an Leviatho Commander a Alien with the Leviathon Federation Planets. The Kriall have invaded Leviathon, while Dakstal’s ship plus two more came to help against the Kriall. The High General of the Armed Forces who is in a bunker on the ground says “Our situation is dire, We have no chance of survival. Our genocide is imminent. Much of our population is already dead… the rest will be soon. My warriors, you have fought well. Go with honor,
Christa works for the Goverment on Earth. When she was in her mine ship heading back to Earth, she see ships appear right in front of her out of no where. Aliens exsist. OMG these Aliens have four arms and sexy as hell too.
Calico is Christa’s sister who is basically a criminal that the government is after. But her and her crew the
Corsairs stay ahead of them.
This is a fun and sexy read. I love that for the situations that Dakstal and Crista find themselves in, the consequences/ results are realistic. The dual POV helps the story moving at a nice pace while not missing a beat of the story.
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased , honest review.
Well, she has been so bored with her only opportunity for space exploration. Her taste of what she has been dreaming about all her life was a wake-up call cause ain’t nothing like the real thing. I think her being thrown into what she perceives as an adventure of her lifetime is also her ultimate will test and challenges her to really think about what she really desires. Love the aliens and their extras sound exciting, also enjoyed the comrade of the characters. I received an advance review copy from Booksprout at no cost and without obligation from the author.
Christa looked down at the stained floor of the mining cargo ship she piloted back and forth from the asteroids to Earth. She had dreamed of excitement and adventure exploring out in deep space, but her eyesight limited her to this mundane job. At least she still has her dream of being among the stars! And this low level job was still better than anything back on Earth. Maybe one day, she’ll get that deep space opportunity. She will never give up hope, waiting for her dream to happen.
On board one the oldest ships left in the fleet of the Leviathon Empire, Commander Dakstal was impatient to get to their destination. Time seemed to crawl. But the distress call was a fake, so they turned back to their home planet. The ship shudders as something is going on in norm space. The pilot told them it was going to be rough as they dropped from light speed to null. As the screens come up, thousands of Kriall ships are surrounding their planet. It looks hopeless. Bombs explode on the planet’s surface, and very few ships are left to defend it. They are ordered to escape before the transmission is silenced.
Dakstal gives the orders to jump to light speed to somewhere they can avoid the major planets or other large objects. Earth is a possible sanctuary, but the aliens have to deal with the hostile Earth military. There is also the danger that the Kriall may have followed them, threatening possible invasion of Earth. Amid all of the chaos, an attraction is felt between Christa and Dakstal. Will the two of them pursue this? Where will they end up? And what will happen if the Kriall decide to take possession of Earth? Does Earth have adequate resources to fight back?
This is shaping up to be an interesting series. Dakstal’s people need salt-water to sustain themselves. If he and Christa do want to be together, it could mean quite a different lifestyle than she would be expecting. I look forward to the continuation of this series. Grab your copy and see if the enemy catches up to them and puts Earth at risk!
The Kriall are at the home world of the Leviatho destroying the Leviathon Empire. There are three ships of Leviatho that were not on their home world. They turned around and hyper spaced away from the fight. Dakstal and his ships end up in Earth’s galaxy. They meet Christa who is working for a mining company and on her way to Earth. Dakstal askes Christa for refuge on Earth. Well you know what’s going to happen right. This is a new Sci-Fi book from Miranda Martin. The Leviatho have four arms, gills, fins and scales. They are an aquatic species. They have to find a new home that has salt water so they can rejuvenate themselves. There is a lot that happens when Christa and Dakstal reach earth. Christa has always wanted to explore space and maybe she can with Dakstal. I’ll let you read the book to find out what happens between Christa and Dakstal. Never a dull moment in Miranda Martin’s books. Love her books.

Dreams of the stars and adventure…
I’ll admit that I was a little concerned by the cover of this book. I know. I know…never judge a book by it’s cover. All I will say about that is Dakstal gives a new meaning to being “handsy”! While this story was a little slow getting started, once it did- WOW! Looks like Ms. Martin has the start of another great series.

I love this author’s books; they’re often filled with insta-love, strong heroines and action …adventure and steamy. Christa and Dakstal have great chemistry, and made a good couple to start off the series with. Cant wait to see what the next book will bring.
