I was always told little girls are supposed to draw pictures of rainbows and unicorns, so when I started drawing stranger things, people acted as if something was wrong with me. They didn’t know I was having visions of the past, present, or even the future. As I got older, I tried to ignore what I could do. Instead of embracing my abilities, I became a tattoo artist who gave people the tattoo … they never knew they wanted.
Unfortunately, my abilities have caused other kinds of problems, especially when it came to dating. Can you imagine meeting a fun, handsome guy who seems interested in you but instead of envisioning having a good time together, you see an unfiltered reality? (Including the other girlfriends he’s hiding?) It makes a girl take a vow of celibacy!
Now, there’s a new problem – a recurring nightmare. Is it a warning of something dark headed my way? Or a result of too much late-night TV? Maybe the three mysterious men I’ve met recently can help me find the courage to accept who I am and face whomever is chasing me in my dreams.

Dahlia has these super cool powers…well I think so anyways…when she touches a person she can see their pasts or futures. Of course having these powers means that you see things that you don’t always want to see….for example a future fight where you break up with a boyfriend. I thought it was quite understandable why she tried to stay away from guys…although I still think having this power is super cool!
This is a great book about learning to trust again and finding your path….cos even when you think you’re done, in Silver springs no one ever is really DONE.
Dahlia has visions when she touches people, draws images of past/present/future events, and unknowingly channels this ability into the most beautiful tattoos for her clients. She has sworn off dating because she sees the breakup when she first touches the guy. What’s the fun in dating when you know how it’s going to end?
Daire is a conjurer with the ability to raise/control the dead. Aiden is a baby vampire who knows nothing about being a vampire. And Ian is a conjurer and the head of his coven, recently divorced, and trying to heal from the wounds his ex-wife has caused. Dahlia feels an attraction to each of the guys but is leery for oh so many reasons.
As the guys enter her life, she is experiencing one of the worst nightmares she’s ever had and trying to figure out what the dream means. Is she being chased by the mysterious man in her dream? Does she know him? Or is it someone new? With twists and turns along the way, the story kept me turning the page wanting more!
I really need to find myself an enchanted book. This next stop in the life of the traveling book has a spunky woman by the name of Dahlia. She cannot stand the touch of other and yet she does not know that her mother was a witch. Therefore, it is hard for her to believe that there is any help for her situation of being a psychic. The first time that she doesn’t feel anything by touching a man she gets… carried away. Only to freak out when she sees a fiery piece of paper stating another person is missing and when she asks about it and told her mother was a witch, she thinks the guy is mocking her instead of registering that she just saw magic. The things we deny when we are avoiding the truth. And somehow, in her ignorance she stands in the way of the villain and his dominance over the city and their covens. Now all she has to do is survive to get her HAE
I loved this story and the fact she’s a tattoo artist! This is well written and a fabulous standalone in this multi author world!! A must read for sure!!
I found this story had me guessing form the start and I was so engrossed in to the story that I didn’t want to put it down. Dahlia owns the lady blue tattoo parlour in silver springs and can see people’s past, present and future just by touching them but also has visions and is so afraid to have any relation ships that she has sworn of men and dose not think it will ever change till she comes across 3 sexy men and doesn’t know why she has an attraction to them till she lets her guard down with Ian and has a passionate romp in the closet of o’malley’s pub after he dose something to help her touch him and regrets it after he tells her he’s a wizard. suddenly she wishes it had never happened and thinks he’s lying to her.she struggles to deal with her abilities and can’t explain what’s happening to her.but with a magical romance book left at her studio things start to change and she has to deal with her abilities she’s found out about her self and 3 sexy mates Aiden, Daire and ian she didn’t know she had.this book had some funny bits I loved the Velma pun at the beginning, it was well written and had plenty of twist and turns that I like in a story and I was not expecting what happened next that it had me on the edge of my seat and as always I loved the character and there sense of number that was brought to the story and as always each story links to the next which I love.if you like a story that’s going to want you reading more then this is the book for you.
Dahlia has a special touch that doesn’t allow her to get close to anyone without visions. Visions that send her for a loop combined with creepy dreams make for a lonely life. She starts to open up only to be shocked by how much she doesn’t know and who she can and can’t trust. I loved the background and think it added to the story and cant wait to see if there’s more to explore with her men, past and present.
How it is possible I don’t know but these books are all good and not one has disappointed me. No book of Tabitha btw. Love the vamp Aiden! Dahlia owns a tattoo shop and is a no nonsense woman who can take care of herself. She is 32 and her love interests are between early twenties and 47 so that is so awesome since it doesn’t happen often in RH. The guys are all their own caracter and this had me laughing out loud several times. Very entertaining.
This is our 5th Installment in the Silver Springs Spell Library and its another really good storey with some interesting characters.
Dahlia is our Tattoo artist who isnt yet aware that she is a physic but just feels like she is a freak and because of this doesnt like touching people because when she does she see’s visions about them. She has also recently been having some very scary nightmares which are actually visions. Enter 3 scrummy men – The Vampire, The Head of the local Coven and a necromancer plus her friends evil ex as the villan.
Well written – a few good twists and turns – good characters – Entertaining and probably as much heat as you can pack into a short storey before you lose the storey aspect.
Definately worth a read as we continue our journey through Silver Springs.
Another fun addition to the world of Silver Springs. Dahlia is a sweet and quick read with a little action added in.
This book was fantastic! I love that Dahlia dealt with every new obstacle with grace and fierce determination. She is a strong woman who gets her happily ever after!
This was a great book so far I have really liked all of the books in this series. This was crazy with Dahlia learning about who she is and then throw in some men and bam! Great book. I also really like how all the books tie into one another ant the very end with the books connection .
I have to admit that it’s quite an achievement. I’ve been reading all Silver Springs Library books so far and not one of them disappointed me. I therefore am so happy every time I get the message that a new book has been delivered to my mailbox! So, even though I was planning on maybe keeping this book for tomorrow I just had to dive into it today already! I was just that impatient, especially because I thought that Dahlia and I would probably have a click.
And from the very first page I figured out that Dahlia and I indeed had that click I was hoping for. Dahlia is a really realistic character. She could have been my neighbor or maybe even my best friend. I recognized a lot from my 30+ life in hers. Mostly that she is in some ways settled and in some ways still searching for herself and who she wants to be and can be. Therefore it didn’t take long before I started caring for her and because Barret really made Dahlia a complex character, with strengths and weaknesses, it was easy to identify with her.
What I also really liked is the careful and slow build up when it comes to the romances. This is not an instant love story. Dahlia meets her guys, has some conversations with them, gets to know them, realizes she has feelings for them and only then is a more permanent connection really forming. It’s therefore easier to buy the strong love and feelings the guys have towards her. It’s not JUST magic. The magic is just confirming what they already know is there. It was refreshing after a lot of fated mates stories where they rushed in without actually bonding first.
That does mean, however, that the plot takes a backseat until the bonds are formed and it’s time for the finale. However, along the way Barret manages to give a lot of hints and to leave loads of breadcrumbs. And when the finale happens all those hints and all the information we got comes beautifully together. Every story we heard, everything we learned about what’s going on in town and with the characters, it’s all important and plays a part.
I’m also really starting to look forward to the epilogues, when we already get a glimpse from the main character from the next book. And I’m quite certain that Willow’s story is gonna be a wild ride. I’m excited already!
This book was fun. I couldn’t put it down it was captivating. Dahlia is an interesting character, she sees herself as cursed but her guys and friends see her as gifted. The guys are diverse and interesting, although I would love more backstory of each of them.
