After an accident in Afghanistan claims the life of his best friend, National Guardsman Gage Manning returns home to his wife more committed than ever to proving himself both a protector and provider. Being reunited with her eases his pain. The chemistry is strong as ever and Poppy welcomes her husband with open arms and happily reaffirms her submission to his leadership. But despite her relief … her relief at Gage’s homecoming, Poppy finds herself concerned by how stoic he has become given what he’s been through.
And Gage must face some changes, too. Poppy has become more self-sufficient while he was away. In addition to temporarily going back to a vet tech job she loved, his young wife has become skilled in doing many things she used to depend on Gage to do for her.
Gage wants things to be as they were before he left, but when it’s apparent that Poppy’s new skills may be necessary to the couple’s financial survival, the memories of what happened in the war zone collide with the internal battle with insecurities he’s been hiding from the woman he loves.
Gage only wants to be strong for his wife. Will she be able to let him know that the strength she needs is in facing what happened once and for all?

This is a story that pushes all the right buttons. It is relevant and meaningful while being a romance story. Often when a family member is deployed both parties change in many ways. Then you add in PTSD and you have got a whole new level of change. I loved the way Poppy and Gage were both portrayed as strong and yet broken. The ending is really fabulous.
I really enjoyed this DD/lg, military romance. Gage had a lot of healing to do after returning home from being in the military, and Poppy was wonderful. I loved their connection and how their story played out. Both characters were strong and helped each other.
Gage comes home to his little girl not quite the same as he left. Watching his best friend die over seas has taken a toll on him. However he thinks that he is fine and wants Poppy to return to how they were before he left. She doesn’t want to give up all that she has become while he has been gone but she tries to for him. When it becomes apparent that they weren’t going to make on just his few clients she went back to work again which made her Daddy very unhappy and he pulled away from her. Both struggle with this new aspect of their relationship. Can they find their way through to a compromise? Or will they split up because of the changes?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

DADDY’S HOME is a stand-alone DD/lg romance with a strong homecoming veteran PTSD message and a slight paranormal edge.
For anyone who thinks that choosing a BDSM relationship, and especially a DD/lg one, means easy days and nothing but kinky fun, take a look at this story. Daddy is home from war and that means adjustments for both Gage and Poppy.
Though I thought Gage was at times more controlling than Dominant, that may be me imposing my feelings of my relationship on to their dynamic. I liked that the author showed that this Dom was a perfect fantasy; he’s a human with his own emotions, passions, and demons.
I loved Gage and Poppy’s story. Their lives felt real. No relationship is all roses; there are plenty of thorns, even when you choose tulips for your bouquet. I loved that they made mistakes in their relationship and in their communication, but they kept trying. Their love, dedication, and chemistry were evident throughout.
I loved this fairly steamy, DD/lg story that takes notice of the struggles of homecoming veterans, PTSD, the American farmer, and the friends, family, and women who support and love them.

I always look forward to Ava Sinclair’s Daddy books, because I love the ways that she writes the relationships, and how much chemistry there is in the books. So, yay, I was happy to read this one. But there were also times when it was a little hard for me to read, because of the PTSD issue, but I thought that Sinclair handled it so very, very well. It felt really realistic to me.
I like Gage, but it took me a minute. I liked him in the very beginning, and in the very end, but not so much in the middle part of it. I had to keep reminding myself of his situation.
I like Poppy. I like that we got to see her grow and stretch. I like that she spent time thinking about what she actually wanted out of her life. I think that she was a really strong character, and I liked seeing how that worked, given the whole DDlg situation.
As Gage comes home from active duty he ties to reaclimate to his role as his Daddy role with his wife Poppy. But while he was gone Poppy had to adjust to being alone with a job and making it work without him. Now he may let his pride get in the way and not get help for his PTSD.This was a good read with heart felt moments woven in with Daddy/Baby Girl play within a marriage.

This is a different kind of DD/lg story. Poppy and Gage had a DD/lg relationship before he was activated in the National Guard. While he was gone, Poppy became more independent. When he came home with PTSD, which he denied, there was conflict. They eventually work things out and have a HEA. This was a good story. I’m glad that Poppy stayed independent. ONE HARD HITTING JOURNEY!!!
Phenomenal! Ava really lays it on the line with this phenomenal approach, delivering one heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, page flipping bombshell, hooking you from the start and reeling you in for the duration. A raging inferno of horrifying events and dangerous circumstances that blasts those spinning emotions into a churning vortex with a life altering, mind-blowing culmination. Unveiling an array of drama, insecurities, turmoil, intrigue, anguish, underlying torment, PTSD flashbacks and mounting suspense, along with a double dose of trouble while dodging hardships, you have the makings for block busting adventure. Stumbling through the trials and tribulations, heartbreaking twists, unnerving turns and thin lines, testing our characters in ways they could have never anticipated. The attraction and chemistry sizzles from the pages and suck you in so deeply until you feel the heat and electricity thrumming through your veins. The characters are authentic and realistic with depth and qualities that transform into outstanding personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions creating a colorful backdrop that makes the storyline pop. Fantastic job Ava, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
When Gage comes home to Poppy, his little girl he doesn’t transition well. He’s suffered a big trauma and lost his best friend but thinks he make it with just his wife, his little girl will help him. Only he doesn’t let Poppy help. When everything becomes to much will he finally realize he’s not healing but only getting worse?
PTSD is very real as Gage discovers, but will he see its not a weakness to get help?
