A baby in a basket left on a doorstep is such a clichè…It’s also my life.I carry a gun and a badge and help keep order in small town Crescent Cove. What I don’t do?Change diapers.Sing songs about sharks.Or…ask for help. But my best friend, Gina Ramos, knows I’m in over my head. She’s the only one keeping me sane. And playing house with her is starting to feel way too real. And get way too hot.… And playing house with her is starting to feel way too real.
And get way too hot.
Because the biggest thing I don’t want to do?
Is to lose my best friend…or find out my little girl isn’t really mine.
Author’s note: This daddy isn’t just undercover…he’s clueless he has a baby! Daddy Undercover is a standalone romantic comedy with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.

Thank you Taryn Quinn for another heartwarming story.
Gina and Jared the sheriff of Crescent Cove have been friends for years, but inside they both wanted to be more.
Then a surprise is left on Jared’s doorstep. A baby girl named Samantha. Doing the math, Jared discovers that a hot weekend with a woman at a convention about a year ago is the result. Now he has to depend on his best friend to help him learn how to take care of a two year old.
They have loved each other for years, even the entire town has a pool going on when they are finally going to sleep together! Baby Samantha makes them finally open their eyes.
You will cry. happy tears! You will laugh out loud a lot!!! Quack! And you will fall in love with this story as I did.
The population grows I Cresent Cove. This friends to lovers was about time. They are perfect for each other, but it takes many friends and family to assure them of the fact. It just took a surprise on the doorstep to truly bring them together.
This book was well written with a splash of hotness sprinkled in. I recommend this book.
For me this one seemed different than the rest in the series, I don’t mean the main storyline that was amazing as I have come to expect from these two wonderful writers. It was the life struggles of the two main characters Jared and Gina, it seemed tougher and different somehow for them to break through. I personally found that that to be very refreshing and made for more of compelling romance book to read.
The next book in the Crescent Cove series does not disappoint. We’ve seen Sheriff Brooks and Gina appear in other books in the series and now they have their story. It’s the perfect sweet story to read to distract from the crazy world we are in.
Gina and Jared have been friends forever! When a baby is dropped onto Jared, Gina is the first person he runs to.
They fit each other perfectly…but when you are best friends, the fear of messing up the total relationship is real. They don’t seem to have any troubles in this regard, until the relationship takes a turn! Then the fun, feels and laughter begin.
Definitely a great fun read. The Cove strikes again!
Gina and Jared are the next couple up in the baby-making town of Crescent Cove. However, there is a twist to their story that makes them different from the other couples in town. Jared is the town sheriff who comes home one evening to discover a baby on his doorstep. He panics and calls his best friend Gina for help. She goes to help him but feels betrayed. Even though they have never been a couple, she has always had a crush on him. With Gina helping him with the baby, they grow closer together. Jared realizes he loves Gina but she freaks out. She tries to push him away because she is afraid of what he will do if he finds out her secret. Sami and Sadie are both adorable and the chemistry between Gina and Jared is crazy hot.
Jared and Gina are best friends. One night Jared finds a baby left on his front doorstep with few notes (at least until he starts to dig further). What do you do with a baby on your doorstep? You call your best friend Gina and drag her away from work. It turns out that a weekend fling turned into something way more than Jared was ready for.
Gina is shocked to find out her best friend, Sheriff Jared had a fling that she wasn’t aware of and had a baby with this random woman. Gina has secretly lusted for Jared but never pursued anything. She also feels horrible because she most likely can’t have any babies of her own. But Jared needs help and she steps in to help. She goes from feeling like the mom some days to just being a friend.
Their chemistry is off the charts and the roller coaster of emotions that Gina experiences is very real.
Another great read in the Crescent Cove series!
This is a great addition to the Crescent Cove series! After glimpses of the straight laced, sexy sheriff in other books, I couldn’t wait to read what was in store for him and his feisty best friend.
I received a free copy of this book.
This is a best friends to lovers story. They have been love for a while, but are both too afraid to do anything about it until after his infant daughter is dropped on his doorstep. When things go hot, they go HOT. And then cold. A lot of emotional angst from childhood trauma. Her family is awesome.
Daddy Undercover is the newest book in the Crescent Cove series. If you’ve read any of this series before, then you know there’s going to be a baby involved somehow. While this book is number 9 in this series, it can be read as a stand-alone.
Jared gets a baby left on his doorstep and is lost as to what to do for a baby, so he calls in his best friend, Gina. This is where friendship starts to turn into something a bit more.
This book was all things Crescent Cove…engaging characters, sweet/small town, and a well-written easy read. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is book 9 in the Crescent Cove series and it can be read as a standalone although I recommend the previous books just because they are great reads! In this one we finally get Sheriff Jared Brooks and Gina Ramos’s story! Jared comes home from work and finds a baby on his doorstep. What is he supposed to do with a baby? He doesn’t know anything about babies! So of course, he calls his best friend Gina for help. Watching her with what could be his daughter sparks something in him that he was not expecting. But it also makes him realize what could be his if he would just step up. Gina knows that Jared doesn’t see her as anything more than a friend. So in order to keep him in her life, she accepts what she can’t change. But finding out that he was with someone else hurts more than she thought it would. But when things start spinning out of her control, and he starts talking about them being a family-she knows that she will have to step away. That she will to tell him her secret when she hasn’t told anyone but her mother. And that she will lose it all because of it.
I really liked this one! I have been impatiently waiting for their story and I definitely enjoyed most of it! Gina has this snarky attitude that I absolutely adore! Jared tends to be uptight and follows all the rules, so he needs her in his life! My only drawback, I felt like the secret she was keeping was blown out of proportion. Although I do get how that could affect how you think of yourself, she always came of as confident and this kinda threw me. But other that, I loved everything else about it!! Never a dull moment in the cove! Although now I think I need to know more about the deputy!
Jared, Crescent Cove’s Sheriff, is shocked to find someone has left a baby on his doorstep. HIS baby. From a weekend fling. He’s in a panic, so calls his best friend, Gina, to come and rescue him. They’ve been best friends forever, and neither wants to admit to the sparks that fly between them whenever they’re together — the fear of messing up a good thing is holding them back.
Through caring for Jared’s daughter, Sami, they grow closer, and eventually cannot deny their feelings any longer. They throw caution to the wind, and clothes to the ground (lol) and in true Taryn Quinn style, the hotness ensues. LOTS of hotness. As always, it progresses the story, rather than being just thrown in for wow factor.
These two characters are clearly meant for each other, and their story is told beautifully. Another ball knocked out of the park for Taryn and Cari! If you haven’t read any of the Crescent Cove books, don’t worry, this is a standalone and you don’t HAVE to start at the first book. But once you read this one, you will WANT to.
In this ninth book in the Crescent Cove series where there’s definitely something in the water, Sheriff Brooks’ secrets come out by way of a baby that is left on his doorstep just before the holidays. He’s been a thorn in the side for many of the previous couples in this series, so it was really great to see him completely off balance.
It’s a good thing that his best friend Gina Ramos is there to help him since he is totally clueless when it comes to the baby. And Gina is hiding a few secrets of her own — like the fact she wants the Sheriff for a lot more than friendship and some other details that might prevent them from being together, even if Brooks gets his head out. I loved Gina, and it was easy to want her to get all she desired. They will need a lot of help from friends and family before they are able to see a future together. And when they do get together, there’s plenty of steam, especially with the Sheriff’s dominating ways.
I loved how the town rallied around the Sheriff, but I gotta say, working full time with a newborn seemed awful easy for him! Overall, this is another sweet love story set in this fictional town, and I’m hoping that we will get just a little more with this couple. I love the idea that Gina could get what she thinks is out of her reach.
I love these characters, the Crescent Cove series is one of my faves! I can’t wait for more!
I love coming back to Crescent Cove. Each books get better and better than the last. I couldn’t wait to see how Officer Brooks story turned out and it did not disappoint.
Jared finds himself in a situation when a baby shows up on his doorstep. When he doesn’t know what to do there’s only one person he calls his best friend. Gina helps him out.
This book is filled with wit and so much sexiness and so much in between. Definitely high on my recommendation list.
Gina and Jared Brooks pushed and pulled at my heart strings. You could definitely fee the tension of will they or won’t they. Taryn Quinn did an exceptional job of making me yearn for their coupling to begin.
Gina is snarky, intelligent, funny, witty and the kind of woman you want to spend the rest of your life with.
Jared is stoic, law-abiding to a tee, sexy and so in love with his best friend.
Together they embark on a journey that brought me to tears, brought all the laughs and melted my heart and lest I forget the sexy chemistry those two give off by the millions!
Brava for the Crescent Cove Daddy! Can I have one? This is an awesome read and an awesome addition to the series!!!!!
Welcome to Crescent Cove. Taryn Quinn brings us back to this small town with the latest book in the series.
Sheriff Jared Brooks is a busy man. He barely has time for his dog Sadie, much less an infant that is dropped on his doorstep on cold night. With his one wild night catching up with him in the form of a little pink bundle, he does the only thing he knows to do…he calls his best friend.
Gina and Jared have been best friends for years. Everyone but them see how they look at each other. How they act together. Could sweet Sami be the thing that finally brings them together or will they once again, find themselves sticking to the friend-zone?
A great read and enjoyed catching up with some of the characters from previous CC books.
I am so glad to be back in Crescent Cove with old friends and new. Taryn Quinn have given us another endearing story, number 9 in the series, featuring Jared, the town Sheriff, and Gina his long time best friend. One day Jared gets the shock of his life left in his door step. The first person he calls is none other than his best friend Gina. It’s a bumpy, hot ride to find their HEA. A must read!
Sheriff Jared Brooks is super serious, takes his responsibilities super seriously, he manages to be a little lighter alongside his best friend, Gina Ramos.
When he finds a baby in his home, on a cold November night, who does he call for help? Gina… and not because she is a woman, but because he knows she will help him.
From friends to lovers, from friends to a family… We have some insecurities, but a real love, which shows that being a parent is much more than having the same blood.
Another delicious love story, another unexpected but loved baby.
Taryn Quinn never disappoints. Gina and Jared friends to lovers story is perfect. You don’t want to mess up the best thing you have the a bundle is left on your door and you need to count on the person you love and trust the most. I could not put this book down. Gina and the Ramos family always keeps you guessing. Jared learns to change with the best of them. Who can not love Sami and Sadie. I love this series and the fact that they are all standalone you don’t need to read them in order but why not.
