Joey needs a Daddy… man has never turned my head before, so why can’t I stop checking out Daddy?
Watching or even participating in bedroom activities may not be the height of excitement for me, but watching subs kneel for their Daddies certainly has me wondering…
What does it mean if a Daddy Dom keeps trying to feed me and make sure I’m okay? And what does it mean if I kind of like it?
Daddy is the first book in the Kinky Boys series, a spin off from the bestselling Ballsy Boys series. It can be read as a stand alone and ends with a HEA.

Really enjoyed reading this story. I loved that both characters are close in age. Makes a refreshing change from most of the daddy age-gap books out there.
After listening to Ballsy Boys this story really didn’t have a lot of “on screen” sex like you found in the previous series. But it fits the two characters of this story so well. Hunter is still dealing with a past incident and Joey is coming to understand who he is sexually. There is a lot of things happening in this book from the start of a new studio, new characters being introduced, the couple themselves, family, and the a past incident that needs some final closure. All of these pieces come together to provide a rich story.
I listened to the audio version and it was very well done.
I loved Pixie, the last in the Ballsy Boys series, and couldn’t wait to read/listen to Daddy. I think that this is quite different, just as a book in a new series should be.
The coming to terms by Joey of his attraction to Hunter after always thinking he was straight, is very well explored and never rushed. Hunter is an amazing Daddy and I love how supportive and helpful he is to Joey and his parents. The secondary story of what Hunter has been through is sensitively played out.
The narration by Kenneth Obi is bittersweet, as I was listening to Daddy at the time he sadly passed away. I love his character voices and the way he brought a book to life. He will be greatly missed.
I loved the Ballsy Boys series so much that I was a little nervous that the spinoff series wouldn’t be as amazing. I should have known better. Nora and Kyleen have written the sweetest Daddy/boy romance and I absolutely loved it. While this series is about a kinky porn studio, this book was definitely more about developing a deep emotional connection than exploring BDSM or kinky sex. Joey and Hunter only have penetrative sex a couple of times near the end of this book. I usually prefer books where characters form an emotional bond before having sex, and it felt very realistic that Joey wasn’t ready to go “all the way” when he was still figuring out what he wanted. I think that even if this book had no penetrative sex–if Joey decided that wasn’t what he wanted or liked–it still would have been an incredible romance. Hunter’s need to protect, care for, and treasure his boy was beautiful to read about. I think that even people who don’t usually like kinky romance will fall in love with these two men.
In addition to the fluffy sweetness of Hunter and Joey’s relationship, I also really appreciated that these two don’t fit the mold of what a “traditional” Daddy and boy are. Joey isn’t tiny, young, or twinky, and it doesn’t matter. Joey’s age and build aren’t a source of angst in this book because to Hunter, Joey is perfect as he is. I wish more authors would write about diverse characters so that I don’t even have to comment about how this is different from what I usually read.
Outside of the romance, I thought this book had a very compelling plot line. I was so curious about why Hunter left New York and what was going to happen with Joey’s family. I was hoping to get a better idea of who else got hired for the new studio, but Nora and Kyleen were very sneaky! I feel like I only got tiny hints about whose stories will be told next, and I can’t wait!
This is the story of an older, “straight” man discovering he wants nothing more than to be his Daddy’s boy. I love the juxtaposition of the boy’s confidence and expertise as the head filmer at a kinky porn studio and the sweet, natural submission he has with the Daddy who owns the studio. The development of their relationship against the backdrop of setting up the porn studio and finding actors makes for a wonderful read I keep coming back to. I can’t wait for more stories in this universe!
A great read and a fantastic beginning to this spin off series! Joey and Daddy are a wonderful combination – with lots of care, discovery and heat!
Daddy is the first book in the K Boys series by Nora Phoenix and KM Neuhold. This contemporary m/m romance with a kinky porn theme. This book is amazing as it introduces us to a new group of characters and themes. Hunter/Daddy and Joey are so great together. Sweet and sexy and perfect for each orher.I loved this story and cant wait for more.
I’ve waited (un)patiently for this book, and Nora and Kyleen did not let me down. This book is beautifully written. Hunter (Daddy) is compassionate, understanding and patient. Joey is so talented at his job, yet unsure in his personal life. The way Joey’s character and his sexuality is written is handled wonderfully. There is no judgement or shame in this book, and kinks are talked about honestly. It’s also great to catch up with some Ballsy Boys characters. Cannot wait for the next book in the series!
