Jack is a hot firefighter and has women doing crazy things just to get his attention. Juliet (Jules) his neighbor is not interested in the craziness surrounding Jack.
When Jack is paid a surprise visit from the stork, Jules comes to his aid and the chemistry that was simmering till now gets hotter. Who knows what’s in store for these two people who were once enemies and now are so much more.
Stephanie St Klaire is a master story teller of romantic suspense and has hit it out of the ballpark with this romantic comedy. I can’t praise this book enough. It had me laughing, swooning and falling totally in love with the characters.
I hope we get to see these characters again and there is a series to follow starting with Felix.
I stayed up all night reading this book. I laughed alot while reading about Jack , his encounters with his 5ft nothin blonde neighbour juliet. Their banter back and forth is truly comically with a lot of flirting going on. When jack is left literally holding the baby he needs a little help, and here we see there is a lot more to jack the pecker decker! The story goes on and it has you looking forward to the happy ever after but of course , in true Stephanie style theres a little twist! An amazing read.!!
Funny change of pace by Stephanie! Very entertaining rom com , not the romantic suspense I’m used to , but great story. Really enjoyed Jack and Juliet ! Laughed a lot !
Somehow, their schedules fell into place perfectly, like it was meant to be–like fairytales and stuff.
Okay, so I was laughing out loud from the very beginning of this one! Jack and Juliet definitely seem to be opposites and push each other’s buttons at every encounter. And with Jack being the guy every woman wants, sans Juliet of course, this provides for some quite entertaining scenes.
The Characters
Jack. From the beginning we see jack as a sort of “manwhore” who is making is rounds though the town. Woman of all ages stop and gawk during his morning runs, orchestrate small disasters for him to assist with, and spread all sorts of rumors about his … well, you get it. Until he’s hit with the surprise of his life. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to see Jack’s character evolve and unveil itself throughout the course of the story. He was definitely more than simply a pretty … face.
Juliet. I first noticed her wit! I loved her clever comebacks and how she never let Jack get away with anything. When she sort of gets dragged into Jack’s new surprise, I got to see a bit more of what lies underneath her intelligence. I came to really like Juliet through the story and found that she was a really great person. The one thing about her was that her character didn’t seem to develop as steadily as I’d hoped. It’s like when we find out about some of the things about her, they happen all at once, rather than being hinted at throughout the story. I wasn’t a fan of that.
Rosie and family. Hands down, favorite mother. She can bring me tacos ANY DAY of the WEEK.
The Story
Not only was this story full of fun, there was also a lot of emotion to it. Dealing with life can be difficult, but when you’re thrown into something unexpected and something you’re nowhere near prepared for can turn everything upside down. I really enjoyed this entire world and seeing how all the characters interacted and how things moved along. This was an interesting storyline and a great new twist to a sometimes usually predictable construct.
My gosh Ms. St.Klaire’s newest book is awesome! If you are looking for a hilarious romance with a little heat and lots of heart then you NEED this one. Sparks and witty banter fly when you cross a local hometown funny loving hero and an overworked snarky gooey center heroine then add in a bundle of joy! Jack and Juliet are one of my favorite couples! Loved loved loved this one! Gave me ALL the feels!
What a funny story with Juliet and Jack. Everyone loves this guy but her. He is her neighbor and gets mad at him all the time til she finds a baby and help him out. What a fun loving story. Loved it the whole time just couldn’t put it down.
I enjoy reading Stephanie St. Klaire’s romance suspense novels so I figured I would give this one a try even though it is different than what I normally read. This was an easy read and definitely had a different vibe than the other books where I was left hanging on my seat from the start to the finish.
I did have some concerns within the book, such as a nurse advising to give an infant Pedialyte – this is not what most doctors recommend – simply because I know that some people say “I read it in a book so it is okay” when in reality, it is not okay.
Overall, this is a great book if you need a quick escape from reality.
Jack and Juliet are next door neighbors who mistake the hot chemistry between them for a dislike of each other! Jack Decker is a handsome fire fighter who is loved by all the local ladies except for his neighbor Juliet. Juliet is a nurse who despises her “frat boy” neighbor Jack and his womanizing ways and she can’t understand why all the woman are “swooning” over him! Things change for two when Juliet coming knocking on his door one morning which a baby girl in tow – his baby which she found crying on his door step, a baby he knew nothing about! When Jack realizes he’s in over his head with fatherhood, he begins to rely on Juliet. Overtime they both realize they people aren’t always really the way they portray themselves. Great read with great characters and an awesome story line!
-Insert all of the fireman jokes here- because this book is HOT and so is Jack The Pecker Decker! The sexual tension built up between Jack and Juliet is intense! The slow burn built on their feud is addictive! I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see what comes next. I loved the mix of Juliet’s “hard, no-nonsense” exterior mixed with Jacks playboy not give a hoot persona. Their banter back and forth is amazing foreplay for the reader, it drives the story on!
I fell inlove with Jack Decker almost immediately as I do with all of Stephanie St. Klaire’s men. She really knows how to write a book boyfriend! But she also knows how to write a strong independent female, which is always welcome! A slam dunk in my opinion! A must read for anyone who loves a light, steamy romp that ends in a perfect HEA.

DILF Diaries:Oh Baby: Amazing writing, Fantastic love story! I loved that Jack was a firefighter and Juliet was a nurse. I loved the hard time she always have him. I loved bond that all the first responders and police had with each other. I fell in love with all the characters as well as Ramsey. She stole my heart. Stephanie St. Klaire has another great series started. Love all her books. Fantastic work! Loved it!
This was a really fun read. I found it light hearted and hilarious in some parts. I’ve never actually read any books from this author before, but I can’t wait to check out her other books.
Juliet is a little uptight. She likes things done a certain way and doesn’t tend to get along with her neighbour. Jack is Juliet’s neighbour. He is seen as a bit of a playboy, and all the ladies love him. Something throws these two characters together and a hilarious, fun story ensues.
Parts of this story had me laughing out loud. The banter between the two main characters was fun. The story was quick and easy to read. The story took an unexpected turn which surprised me but it just made me like the story even more. If your looking for a good RomCom I definitely recommend this!
This is a hysterical, fun, laugh out loud, can’t put down book.Jack Decker is a firefighter that acts like a frat boy while his next door neighbor Juliet Walker RN is a play by the rules or as Jack says “stick up her ass” girl. The sparks fly from the start and each enjoy nothing better to get a rise out of each other while secretly looking for more. When a surprise bundle shows up on Jack’s doorstep he is clueless and needs all the help Juliet can give him. This is a feel good, not without conflict story an d I can’t wait to see whats next. This is a departure from St. Klaire’s previous book but she nailed it yet again. You can never go wrong with her books, characters are so well developed they jump off the page and feel like your neighbor ors.
My absolute favorite genre in the romantical book world is romantic comedy. This book by new to me author Stephanie St. Klaire brings the humor in full force with this book!
DILF Diaries is the the story of Jack and his neighbor Juliet. This story really brings home the quote “There is a thin line between love and hate”.
Jack knows just which of Juliet’s buttons to push to send her over the edge. Juliet thinks she knows what kind of man Jack is and she wants know part of it whatsoever, or so she tries hard to believe.
When surprise addition makes an appearance in Jack’s world. Well that’s when the hilarity ensues. To read about him stumble through fatherhood was fantastic and real. To read about Juliet realizing there is more to Jack than the rumors state is swoony.
This story made me laugh out loud! (Much to the annoyance of my family…oh well, they know me and know my reading habits!)
This is a fast paced, quick read that was funny, smexy and a touch of swoony! I can’t wait to read what comes next in this new series! You have yourself a new fan Ms. St. Klaire!
Great new series from Stephanie St. Klaire.
Jack is the supposedly typical bachelor and Juliet is a stick in the mud ER nurse. Then Jack’s world is turned upside down and Juliet goes along for the ride.
Such a sweet romance of two people who are attracted to each other but fight it on all levels because of preconceived notions. Can’t wait for the next couple of books!
DILF Diaries- OH BABY is a standalone RomCom by Stephanie St. Klaire…
Firefighter Jack Decker is a playboy plain and simple.. When his neighbor Jules comes over with a surprise he fights it. It’s not his. He wants nothing to do with. But he has no choice in the matter. He begs for her help now. When before all he wanted to do was make her angry at him. He succeeded with that in spades.
An enemy to lover book.
DILF
Jack and Juliet “Jules” didn’t get along when they became neighbors. While Jack was immediately intrigued by her, Juliet was annoyed with him and his persistence for having rather noisy parties. Jack had a reputation for the local bad boy who left women in his wake so Juliet wanted nothing to do with him. That was until a baby is left at his doorstep and she was there to help. She
Starts to see a different side of the town playboy and she
Starts to fall for him as he is falling for her! The problem is Juliet has a past that she’s not sure would allow her to pursue anything with Jack and if it would be worth the repercussions from her father. You’ll have to read to find out! Love this author and highly recommend this book!
Loved Loved Loved this book. Juliet is the serious nurse who has a crush on her neighbor but thinks he is a huge player. Jack loves to get a reaction from Ju!es. The way these two go at each other was very funny. Bring in baby Ramsey and all kinds of things change between the neighbors. This book was awesome. I loved the enemies to lovers romance between these two. Can not wait for another DILF book .
Jules and Jack are an amazing couple. They have chemistry that heats up the pages from page 1. Jules, as Jack so graciously nicknamed her, is totally against Jack because he is rumored to be a playboy. Little does she know those rumors are just that. And Jack has his sights set on Jules. It takes one sweet little surprise infant to force them together. Jules expects Jack to fail because he’s “just a playboy”. But really he is this amazing guy trying to leave behind his memories of his cheating fiancé and not wanting to trust another woman. They work together and build a friendship and then a relationship. It was definitely fun with these two. Fighting the inevitable as well as all the matchmaking! Fun read, great story and great characters. A story you will enjoy from page one!
An amazing lighthearted and funny read. I read this book in one sitting. I loved Juliet and Jack. Stephanie writes great lovable characters. Definitely a romcom winner.
