CyrusFamily. Brotherhood. Music. Women. That was pretty much my life. And it was one I was happy with too. Until I came across her- the one woman I knew I had no right to put my hands on, the woman who I still felt such a connection with that, even though I knew I had to keep my hands – and other body parts – to myself, I wanted to be in her life.So I became her friend.Except, this sweet, shy, … friend.
Except, this sweet, shy, bookworm was making being honorable a hell of a lot harder than I expected.
Reese
Family. Books.
To be perfectly honest, that was pretty much all my life was about. And I was happy with that. I lived a thousand lives. I saw and felt things in stories I never could have otherwise.
Besides, real life was never as good as books.
Until I came across him.
He was leading man material if I ever saw it.
You know, just not for me.
He made that perfectly clear.
We were going to be friends.
Friends.
That was it.
Except, maybe that simply wasn’t enough…

I just want to start off by saying, if you’ve read any of the reading order or even the books about Paine, Enzo or Kenzi, I’m beyond happy there wasn’t any real drama to butt into Cyrus and Reese’s story. Like that girl doesn’t need to be freaked out once she finally found her Prince Charming right? I loved that the nerdy book lover got the hot playboy to turn in his Manwhore card! Go us right? Cyrus totally upped his game in this book!! Yes Cyrus is a ladies man but I love that he’s respectful to women. He isn’t just some twatwaffle that hits it and quits it and leads a girl on. Reese hit the jackpot with him! I love when there’s a series or a reading order like Jessica’s where there’s a book or two that’s straight up love story and not jammed with crazy drama, twists and turns or crazy. It’s nice to get a break from that sometimes. I loved this book and thought it was perfect.
Jessica Gadziala hits the mark again
If you’re reading this and you’ve read the first 8 Henchmen books well this one will NOT disappoint. Cyrus was as perfect as I had hoped. If you’ve never read any of the Henchmen then start with the first, Reign, and I promise you won’t be disappointed. But you may want to prepare for a weekend long book binge because I guarantee you’ll be hooked!!
Cyrus loves all women.
Reese loves books.
Good thing Cyrus isn’t just about women. He knows how to be sweet. He goes all out to show Reese more of the “real” world not just the worlds she knows from books. That is just what Reese needs in her life. Throw in some action and you get a hot book with some sweetness!!!
This was my first review I’ve ever written (back in August of 2017). I’m just not articulate enough to brave the world of reviewing books, but I just had to say how much I loved this book! I started reading Jessica Gaziala’s books back in May and devoured her books (I’m ashamed to say I have not read the Green series, Stars Landing or the Surrogates). Something about this book just resonated with me. I loved Reese and I loved how Cyrus was with her! From all the review I’ve been reading, there are so many of us like Reese, would rather be in the book world than in the real world, but maybe its not so bad out there 🙂
Anyway, I just had to say how much I loved this book and may need to re-think on starting those other 3 series I haven’t gotten to yet. Thank you Jessica for getting out these books so quickly!! Its so painful waiting months to years to read a book from a favorite author!!
Shy, quiet, bookworm meets a gun running MC member. He knows right away she’s too good for him and decides they should just be friends. Through their friendship she learns how to have small talk with strangers, goes new places, and learns to live life outside her books.
5 Happy Ever After Stars
I know I say this after ever Jessica Gadziala but this was totally my favourite! Reese is my girl… She works in a library – I work in a library! This book was amazing, not like all the other Henchmen books, it was sweet and beautiful story that I read in one sitting and I on’t do that often, that pesky thing called life normally gets in the way.
Cyrus is the right amount of Alpha male and Reese is the perfect leading lady. She comes off shy at the start but then you realize she’s not wilting flower she can take on her own!
I highly recommend picking this book up and reading it. If your a Susan Elizabeth Phillips or Kristen Ashley fan this will be for you.
Lord, she did it again.. You’re thinking your reading a sweet book about a shy romance book lovin librarian and a biker and then BAM – the past is coming back to haunt.. And that’s all I can say on that.
Reese Washington is probably the most relate-able heroine Jessica has ever written. We are all fan’s of her because we love getting lost in romance books of all genres, having multiple books boyfriends, giving up a social life to instead stay home and get lost in a story. This is the life Reese has lead for most her life – even while growing up poor and having two brothers that at different times ran the Third Street Gang. Her sister, who is hell on wheels, couldn’t even get Reese’s nose out of a book to socialize with non-fiction people . Nope, that took a man with seaglass eyes, a long well kept beard who was part of a MC to do that. She finally got her own happily ever after.
Sweet love story with some zingers thrown in – never a dull moment in Navesink Bank. A storm is a brewing..
