I received an ARC of this book in an exchange for an honest review, but anything you will read from thoughts to opinions are all mine.
So far I think it was better from the first one and the second one. It touched what I was talking about in the previous reviews. I’ ll stick to 3 stars.
Better descriptions, more action, better narration, more drama, finally we see Alex doing something, getting a little control though still needs that boyfriend of hers.
Yeah, that flew more easily, more pleasantly. If I hadn’t made already an impression of this series from the other two books, I think I would have enjoyed it more. Yeah, Yeah far better. The best maybe book of this series so far. Really happy about that especially because while I am writing that I am listening to the finals scenes. I am actually curious to see what happens next, in the fourth book.
I can finally say it… WELL DONE!
This is a fast-paced adventure read that will have you turning page after page to see what happens next. I love the Celtic magic and fae aspects of the book mixed with mages, sorcerors, and shifters. The characters are great and I would equate these books as an equal to Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse series.
‘Cursed Magic’ book three in Antara Mann’s urban fantasy The Half-Goddess Chronicles series. This continues on from ‘Infernal Curse’.
Alex’s Goddess powers are now unlocked, with the help from the Morrigan and Macha, the Goddess of War and Death, she will learn how to use these powers. With the Curse from Angus still active Alex and Kagan must travel to Africa to seek help from a Shaman, sounds easy right, wrong… Things ain’t what they seem and trying to break the Curse is going to be a difficult journey.
I am so glad that I took the chance to read this series, it was a little slow at the beginning in book one but by the time you get to book two you are hooked like a junky.
Alex has been through so much in only a few months, she’s been kidnapped to be sacrificed for a ritual to open the Inferno gates, kidnapped again to have her powers drained for another ritual and then cursed. With this in mind Alex is in more trouble then ever. Angus the Inferni is determined to release the Inferni from Inferno and it seems that the only thing being able to stop his success is Alex being able to escape his every attempt on her life. But this time it’s more than Alex’s life at risk, with this curse it will kill her slowly and horribly but it will also take her friends and loved ones.
Kagan once again proves to be the perfect boyfriend, he is always there to help Alex with whatever she needs, be it a shoulder to lean on, a magical boost, a hug or comforting words. Kagan you sweet, powerful, gorgeous Fae!
Nail biting, heart pounding journey, this book was one shocking and real character growing read. A lot of characters are going to surprise you and you won’t see the twist coming.
Well done Antara these books have had me on one heck of roller coaster and I can’t wait to see how you plan to finish this series off in ‘Genesis Magic’.
Cursed Magic is the third book in The Half-Goddess Chronicles. They really need to be read in order to fully appreciate the storyline. While Cursed Magic is shorter than the first two books, it still earns its place as an excellent addition to the series. Alex, along with her boyfriend Kagan, are on a wild ride, stopping at nothing on their quest to lift Alex’s deadly curse. Angus, meanwhile, is doing everything he can to stop Alex while continuing to create havoc on Earth. Who will win? My only disappointment was the ending. I wanted more closure. Will there be a fourth book? I hope so!
ONE INTENSE ADVENTURE!!!
Bringing the pain! Antara really brought her A-Game rocking this baby, bouncing it to its own beat. One non-stop, action packed, heart pounding, pulse racing, page turning thrilling ride that grabs your attention from the start. All the twists and turns, ups and downs, a few glitches and bumps here and there make for one engaging experience. As the drama, danger and suspense spirals as tension thickens, every sense heightened as the story unfolds. You have a rollercoaster ride of emotions burst forward front and center. The characters and their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The scenes are so graphically detailed it really brings each scenario to life as it plays off one another in perfect balance. Antara did a remarkable pulling this bad boy together beautifully.
