Skye, Stormy, and Savannah Davidson are no different from the other residents of Discovery, Massachusetts, or so they think. As their 25th birthday approaches, the town begins to yes – no shares, just set up them with wariness and suspicion. Skye begins to believe the triplets are special. Can they solve the puzzle of their past to save the town from the evil forces that affect their future?
This is the first book by Skylar Mckinzie that I have read and I was hooked from the very beginning!! Skylar has created a world filled with witches, vampires, wolves that seemed so real. I felt like I was a part of Discovery, MA. The characters were so easy to follow and I found myself fully invested in what happened to them as I read more and more of this story. Cursed was filled with mystery, drama, action, and romance…everything that I need for a great story!!!
I loved that each of the Davidson sisters were different. Savannah (or Savi) is my favorite out of the three. I really connected with her. I loved reading along as they discovered who they really are and grew into their destinies. The supporting characters were great as well!! I really want to know more about Megan!!
Once I started this book, I could not put it down!! The book ends closing the chapter on the Davidson sister’s beginning to learn and embrace their true identities. I can not wait to find out what comes next for these characters!!!
I highly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of paranormal reads!! This book will not disappoint!! It is well written…easy to follow and get lost in…and will leave you guessing what does Skylar Mckinzie have in store for her characters and her readers!!!
Very well done Skylar Mckinzie!! I can not wait to see what you come out with next!!!
*4.5 stars*
This story hooked me immediately! I am cautious at times with paranormal because world building is extremely important to me. Skylar Mckinzie nailed it! There was so much depth that I felt I could dive right into the pages and walk around.
The author also did an excellent job on character development. I appreciated the author didn’t focus solely on the three sisters, but instead added that same level of complexity to other characters. That is a sign of a fantastic writer. The backstories were clearly defined.
There was a great deal of action and suspense. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I need book 2 because I have so many questions!
I did deduct half a star though because with all of the fantastic buildup I felt like the climax wasn’t as detailed as it could be which was disheartening. However, that was only one aspect to the book and everything else flowed extremely well.
Highly recommend!
I received Cursed as a gift from the author for my honest opinion. This book was great and I am really excited to read more of the series as it becomes available. It definitely made me want to order book 2 but then I figured out that it has yet to be released. I love finding myself in the position of wanting the next book. It means that it was an amazing start of what will be sure to be an epic journey! The storyline is amazing, character development was above par and it was honestly a joy to read as this book came to life. I love books that are well detailed, it helps my imagination figure out how the book would look in my own mind. Skylar McKinzie has an amazing gift of storytelling and it would be an honor to share this book with my friends.
When three sister witches are burned at the stake because someone in their little town betrayed them, the set a spell into place to reincarnate themselves every time they died. When Skye, Stormy, and Savi learn of the magic in the family they also learn of the evils set out to kill them. Can they band together with the family who was framed to look like they betrayed the sisters in the past life?
Quite simply an amazing book. The story drew me in right from page one. The characters are fantastic and fascinating. I absolutely can’t wait to see what happens to each of them next!!
