Thousands of miles away from London and The British Museum, in the mysterious Land of The Pharaohs, a pyramid has been discovered, or more accurately, one has suddenly appeared. As treasure hunting teams from across the globe dash to the historic discovery, the race is on for the Hunter brothers, and their fellow members of the British Museum team, to unlock both the pyramid’s secrets and its … secrets and its relics.
Only, not all is as it seems, and as the treasure hunters begin to die one by one, it soon becomes apparent. the pyramid has its own vengeful agenda.
In this second book of The Relic Hunters’ Series, seventeen-year-old Adam Hunter must learn to work as part of the team in order to save the day and win the heart of the girl he’s falling for.

Curse of the Sands is the second book in the Relic Hunters series. The book is action packed and Adam Hunter, a teenager who’s working for the British Museum, is heading into a ski town. This town in Colorado is about to be destroyed. Adam is not listening to sound advice from his confidants. Instead he starts going towards the trouble…
Honestly, this series is amazing and the author is really good at painting the picture and putting you into the book. The series is action packed and keeps you moving along. You won’t regret reading these books.
Definitely digging the ancient Egypt theme… see what I did there? I’m punny. In all seriousness, go read these books. I couldn’t put this down. Adam is a great lead to follow. I’m ready for the next one!

Curse Of the Sands is the second book in the Relic Hunters series by Martin Ferguson. Let me start by saying that this book would make a great movie/TV series. This is an intriguing YA adventure- with action, mystery, danger, historical details, Relic Hunters, wonderful quirky characters, good vs evil, myths, legends, and more.
As I mentioned after reading the first book, the story/series has everything you need to make it an enthralling read, and would make a great movie, or exciting adventure game for PC, Xbox, PlayStation etc.
This story has us setting off on an adventure with the relic hunters as an ancient pyramid is uncovered in Egypt. As expected, danger is ever present problem wherever the team happen to be. What unfolds makes for an exciting read.
Looking forward to more adventures with the Relic Hunters.
Thank you, Martin Ferguson!
Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters Book 2)
By Martin Ferguson
5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters Book 2) by Martin Ferguson. It is a story that includes action, adventure, danger, and mystery. It is a book that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. It pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked. I love the character of Adam Hunter. While he doesn’t always follow orders, he acts when others are in danger to save lives. This story has him and the team from the British Museum off to Egypt where a pyramid has appeared. Once there they find themselves not only fearing danger from deadly traps but the evil that comes not only from long ago but also from rival teams. What does the future hold for Adam and his team? What will they find in the pyramid? When cities start to crumble will they be able to save them? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is exciting and fast-paced. It takes you on a journey that had me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed reading about Adam and the others that help him. I also enjoyed the bantering back and forth with the characters. I have always loved stories about Egypt and the pyramids so this is a book that I had a lot of fun reading. The author does an amazing job of making the story and the characters come alive. I felt like I was right there with them. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that you will not want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.
Curse of the Sands by Martin Ferguson is the first book that I have read by this author and I absolutely loved it! The author hooks me in right from the beginning! While this book is book two in a series, I feel, very strongly, that you can read it as a standalone. The author does reference moments from the first book in the story, but it is not to the point of where you feel like you missed something along the way.
As you read along, you’re mostly following Adam. The author does split off to follow other characters, but Adam is the focus. I think that Adam has potential but he’s still growing as a person. As a character developed by the author, he’s fantastic. He’s impulsive and puts the team at risk almost right from the beginning. Of course, he ends up in hot water with both them AND the American government. Behind bars is no place anyone really wants to be. Plus, it’s always good to have friends who have connections to save your bacon.
The main focus of the story quickly shifts to Egpyt with the sighting of a mysterious pyramid that shows up out a series of devastating sandstorms. There is such an air of mystery, danger, and even some supernatural elements. I couldn’t get enough. This is one of those books that is hard to put down. It’s packed full of action, intrigue, and so much more. I absolutely loved it. Needless to say that this author has garnered themselves a new fan! I’m eager to read more of these books in the future because this a fantastic story and very well done!
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. The storyline is well written and keeps the reader engaged from start to finish. The author weaves an exciting and thrilling story that keeps you hooked and begging for more. Highly recommended for those who love a good action adventure with treasure hunting and some supernatural elements.
I started off reading sci-fi and books like this.. I got into another genre.. Man I miss these type book.. I enjoyed it
Martin Ferguson keep writing great historical fiction stories. After his first book Eagle of The Empire, I immediately began to read this because they are such page turners. This book picks up from where we left the Hunter brothers and the rest of the crew at the of the first book. However, this book is written with a unique of doing flashback in the past in Egypt in connection to the current exploration. I cannot wait for the third book !
