Cure Or Die
Book 3 in the Damaged Goods Mystery Series
Certified Process Server Jackie Parker could do a case study in bizarre human behavior. Like the time the Damaged Goods property management team found a man fermenting his own fecal matter to get high. Or the angry downstairs tenant who threatened to spit on her. And that was just one building in the Miami art’s district.
Returning to the …
Returning to the scene of the crime a year later at the request of the landlord, Jackie believes she’s ready for anything. Since the Dark Prince left the team, she and Luke have gone through an amicable divorce and maybe just this one time she can manage to not land face first in something foul. But what they find in the vacated apartment is far worse than on their earlier visit and Jackie’s situation is about to get a whole lot messier.
Cue Logan.
Don’t miss the epic finale to the Damaged Goods trilogy, it’s a laugh a minute and what readers describe as “More addictive than krockodil!”

THE BEST BOOK YET!
I didn’t know how she did it, but Jennifer L. Hart created the final novel in a series I love that made it possible for me to accept all the changes in Jackie’s life and love them! She also pulled off a bigger stunner than she has managed to date; that is amazing on its on because she always manages to surprise me. Need I say it? I loved, loved, loved Cure or Die. I am ready to reread it as soon as I finish typing this review.
If you haven’t read Christmas Rental, the Laundry Hag crossover, you will be really surprised from the very beginning, but for those of us who have read all of the books, this one starts several months after Christmas and one major change has already occurred. I was glad about the timing because the transition was easier and smoother than I had expect; I should have trusted Ms. Hart. I don’t want to say anything specific about the story for fear of revealing spoilers, but know that once again relationships vie with mystery and Jackie is right in the middle of all of it.
I was thrilled to get a review copy but I also pre-ordered the day it came available because I want a forever copy too.
I have been waiting for this one for ages – at least it seems like it. Jackie and Luke are divorced but still working together – and her mom’s boyfriend John – at Damaged Goods. She has not seen Logan ever since Christmas, and when she does it is not as she expects.
In danger after a gruesome discovery in one of the rentals, Logan kidnaps Jackie to a safe place and adventure ensues. There is a shocking twist I did not see coming!
I am so happy with the outcome of this book, although I do wish there had been a bit more explanation at the end and maybe a little (ok, a LOT) of extra romance. The ending was rather sudden, so I wish the author will somehow let us know how Jackie will fare in the future. I feel a bit robbed of an epilogue.
But totally loved the book and am sad this is the last. (2016)
The love triangle increases. In the last book, Logan saves Jackie’s life and Luke is struggling to reconcile he wasn’t the one because he was stuck in traffic. Tension is tight between the three and Luke starts acting squirrely. Jackie with her pension to being in the wrong place at the wrong time keeps finding bodies. And can’t just let the police handle it. Between dead bodies, mom trouble, strained relation ships and possible infidelity this book will keep you’re head spinning. It’s funny, it’s a cozy mystery but there is angst and heartbreak with this this rom com and it ends in a cliffhanger that has me salivating to see what happens next. And seriously who to root for!!!!
