Cowboys are a different breed…
They work hard, play hard and love harder.
It’s all about the ride, until the right woman
makes them fall.
Chasing his dream of becoming a country music star, cowboy Jase Smith takes a job with a singing telegram company to make ends meet. He’s hired to deliver a breakup tune to a woman on Valentine’s Day, and meets music exec Leigh Anderson. Could she be the … Anderson. Could she be the one he’s meant to make sweet music with?

Cupid’s Cowboy is a quick, sexy read. I liked Jase from the very beginning, and I enjoyed his journey with Leigh as he navigated the ups and downs of the music industry. The epilogue was the perfect ending to their story. I look forward to reading the other books in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy.
“Cupid’s Cowboy” (A Cowboy’s Way novella) by Becky McGraw is a great read. I absolutely loved reading Jase & Leigh’s story. This story is fun and sexy. I wish someone would send me a singing Cowboy telegram! This is a great addition to the Cowboy’s Way series. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series “Too Hot to Trot” coming soon.
Drama, romance, cowboys, stubborn men and hotheaded women – what more could a reader ask for? Oh, how about a well-written and properly developed plot, all in a bite-sized novella perfect for reading over a long coffee. Absolutely loved it.
ARC for honest review with no compensation
Purchased this book as part of the Cowboy12 pack box set back in 2015 and reviewed. This is another great book by Becky McGraw and part of her Cowboy Way series.
This story is about Jase Smith who is chasing his dream to become a country music star and Leigh Anderson a music executive looking for the next big country star…meet when he comes to sing her a breakup singing telegram. Can these two form a partnership to make both their dreams come true??
Valentine’s Day is getting worse by the minute for Leigh and her father/boss doesn’t even know that she hasn’t signed Wade. Finally home and trying to relax she is somewhat startled by the doorbell.
She comes face to face with the delivery of a singing telegram. A kiss off from Wade. The ex from hell and the reason she’s in the mood she’s already in.
Now the attraction is instantaneous between Jase and Leigh, but there is also some things that are totally misunderstood.
Jase and Leigh have a long way to go both professionally and personally.
There are lots of sweet moments and then there are the things dealing with the music industry that just complicate the hell out of everything.
A wonderful Valentine’s read!
A fabulous country music treasure…
A fabulous country style treasure by Becky McGraw. Becky gifts readers a story about what it takes to take risks and gamble everything you have to achieve your dreams. While this book was about making it as a country music star and the inherent pitfalls, hard work, that goes into making dreams happen. this book could perfectly reflect and mirror anyone’s life at any given moment, when they are passionate about the creative dreams they want to pursue.
Leigh – despite her trust issues, and go hard attitude, she is down to earth, a hard worker who strives and expects the best from those she finds have musical talent in a cut throat industry.
Jase – be still my heart. Even when being stubborn, he is someone you want in your corner. Hard working no matter the jobs he takes on to make a living, while helping his parents, loyal – all round wonderful soul
Becky shows that if you have dreams – it takes hard work, dedication, its constant honing of skills and learning to perfect your passion in life and love. Then there are the minefields to navigate. The people who’s intentions aren’t stellar. They cheat others, they copy just to go the easy way in life.
Rarely, is life, love, and work easy. it’s those that work hard that will accomplish their planned goals but more importantly they will value them more for the effort they strive for.
This is a beautiful journey to love. It was moments of doubt, angst, stumbling, lack of trust, yet attraction always remained steadfast. Add touches of Valentine’s Day humour and this is a quick page-turning book to devour. If you love Valentine’s Day, cowboys, soulful country music and have no plans for the weekend – then sit back, relax and be absorbed in Jase and Leigh’s story.
This was a great read. It was the first book that I’ve read in this series, but I will be reading the others. I liked Leigh’s determination to make things happen and was glad that she started her own company. Jase was the perfect cowboy and a gentleman. The journey to their happily ever after was a little rocky but they made it.
I received an advanced reader’s copy in exchange for an honest review.
Cupid’s Cowboy by Becky McGraw is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. McGraw has once again delivered a well-written book. The characters are fantastic, I totally love them. Leigh is not a fan of Valentine’s Day. Hot cowboy Jase delivering a singing breakup telegram with a dozen black roses while wearing his tighty-whiteys doesn’t help. Or does it? Leigh and Jase’s story has plenty of drama, humor, action and sizzle to keep readers glued to their e-readers. I loved reading Cupid’s Cowboy and look forward to reading more Becky McGraw books in the future. Cupid’s Cowboy is book 4 of the Cowboy Way Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Cupid’s Cowboy is an engaging story with an interesting storyline, fun dialogue and down to earth characters. Leigh and Jase are easily to connect with and you cannot help being drawn to them both. Each are fighting an uphill battle, trying to prove themselves and fulfill their hopes and dreams of better lives for themselves and in Jase’s case, for his family too. This book definitely pulls at the heart strings and you jump on an emotional rollercoaster ride as you follow Leigh and Jase’s journey for happiness and success. *I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book.
Leigh is working hard to prove herself to her father at his record publishing company. When her latest attempt at the next great country star falls through she’s lost as to how to overcome the problem and make things right with her father again. Fortunately, help comes in the form of a cowboy dressed as a country cupid and singing a telegram. It doesn’t take any time for Leigh to know he’s got the talent, he just needs a better demo. So, emptying out her savings she takes the plunge and the chance on an unknown singer who she doesn’t even have a contract with.
Jase’s life is full of responsibilities. He works three jobs and lives at home to help care for his mother. However, his true dream is singing and hopefully one day being able to let go of all the other jobs and focus only on that. When he realizes the opportunity Leigh is offering him, he suspects she has ulterior motives but he takes the chance with her.
This was a bit rocky of a romance with Jase growing angry and cutting Leigh out of his life for a bit. She doesn’t take no for an answer and pursues things for his best interest. I liked that she didn’t give up on him, I would’ve liked it more had he been more driven to claim and keep her as his own as well.
The steam, when given is off the charts – can you say dirty talker, but isn’t prevalent throughout the story. Angst is about medium range with no ow drama although there is a bit of om drama. Overall, it was a nice fast story that I found enjoyable.
This is my honest and willing review of an advanced reader copy provided by the author.
Really Enjoyable! This is a really quick, fun read! Jase is a good country boy looking for his big break in the music industry. Meanwhile working any job he can to pay the bills. Leigh is the daughter and employee of a music promoter and looking for the next superstar country singer. Jase is hired by Leigh’s fake boyfriend to deliver a singing telegram to breakup with Leigh on Valentine’s day. And then let the fun begin!! I loved Jase’s sweet country boy personality and I was really glad he got Leigh to finally stand up for herself!
Though I have read a few books by Ms McGraw in her Deep Six Security Series. This series, Cowboy Way, is quite different so mentally, I had to make an adjustment.
That said, the main characters , Jace Smith and Leigh Anderson were well developed and likable. Each with their own personal agenda and with the goal of being professionally successful. One wanted to be a successful country music singer, while still being true to his family and responsibilities, and the other, trying to show her value to her father. Seemingly opposites, but in the end they help each other not only professionally, but personally.
Absolutely loved Jase.
Looking forward to reading more books in this series.
