Cupid meets her match in this sizzling new romantic comedy, perfect for fans of Christina Lauren, Sophie Kinsella, and Jasmine Guillory!
She can make anyone fall in love…
Poppy Hathaway is a professional Cupid. Need a love note, raunchy sext, or apology letter so epic that your other half will forget you hesitated a second too long when you asked, ‘Is my cousin hot’? She’s got you covered. … hot’? She’s got you covered. But when her most frequent bachelor client, the annoyingly charming (or is that charmingly annoying?) Dylan Griffin comes to her with a big new job, Poppy discovers that three little words can add up to one big complication…
He’s got his eyes on the (wrong) prize…
Dylan doesn’t want help seducing another swimsuit model (for once in his life). He wants Poppy’s help winning his high-school crush – and he’s prepared to make it worth her while. Throw in a summer Catskills trip that’s equal parts ‘Dirty Dancing’ and dirty-talking, and this Cupid is soon out of her depth – and head over heels with the last man she expected. But can she find the right words when it comes to her own heart? Or will this happily-ever-after be more of a romantic disaster?

Loved the characters. Loved the story line. Great read. Thank you.
A beach type read
Fast read enjotable
This was one of my favorite 2019 summer reads.
It had the meet-cute kinda vibe, with a dash of
a ladies man and your modern day Cyrano.
Love was Poppy’s language, and Dylan’s was
kinda allergic to long term relationships(not
intentionally) because he was pretty much married
to building his empire/brand. The chemistry
was unavoidable, but the friendship meant more
to them then a “What If…??” moments .
It was definitely a slow burn while keeping me on
a bit of an edge, wondering when they would realize
that Who and What they we’re looking for, was staring
right at them.
This is the first book I have read by Lila Monroe and I loved it! It’s fun and flirty. Poppy is the female version of Hitch. I love how she is a total foodie and that she always had Dylan’s attention no matter how many times she played cupid for him!
This book was pretty cute. The storyline was really fun, refreshing, sweet and steamy. I really enjoyed it!
Poppy is a professional Cyrano, she loves love, and everything that comes with it. That’s why she chose that path of work. She helps people write their feelings on paper. She makes their love lives easier. She’s excellent at her job but her problem is she can’t seem to find love of her own. Especially when its right in front of her.
Dylan was a geek-turned-successful hotelier. He wasn’t the best in anything love or dating related, that’s why he uses Poppy’s service to woo women. But then he ran into a high school crush, and his high-school self resurfaced. This time, he upped his game and offered higher payment to Poppy if she could help him score his high school crush this time.
But then the more time he spent wooing Jasmine, the more he realise that he can be more real and well-suited with Poppy. Who will he choose though, his high school crush or his Cyrano?
This book certainly didn’t disappoint – it has everything! The plot was entertaining. I loved Poppy and her unusual career. You will laugh non-stop with this one and there’s moments where you’ll swoon that you can’t help if few tears fall.
4.5 stars for this romantic comedy that is super sweet!!
“You make everything better.”
”The best love story of all is ours, and it’s only just beginning.”
This book was so cute and sweet. Dylan thinks that fate has sent him his high school crush for a reason while Poppy helps wayward, lyrically-challenged people find the right words. So of course, Poppy needs to go to the Catskills to help out Dylan win Jasmine once and for all.
But what happens when you’ve already found the right woman (or man) for you, but you don’t realize it.
Stick around for laughs, groans, winces, and a little heartbreak thrown in.
This was a fun romp and my first, but not last Lila Monroe book!
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
Lila has once again wooed me with her words and made me fall for her characters ! Dylan and Poppy are cute, funny, sassy and just maybe attracted to each other LOL . Poppy is the modern day Cyrano . She has been helping the romantic word challenged for years. Need to make a good first impression, how about an apology note to woo your lover, breaking the ice with that cute gal or guy …maybe your wedding vows …well Poppy is your gal!
Dylan , oh he is quite the ladies man and he has certainly used Poppy’s services to get what he needs but he soon finds the lovely word temptress shall we say tempting . This will certainly come as a surprise for both of them but so great to watch it unfold !!!!
I loved their story !

Gah! This was my first time reading Lila Monroe, and I enjoyed it immensely. From the very first page, Cupids Anonymous was a lighthearted, fun and entertaining story that I simply didn’t want to put down. Poppy and Dylan were perfect together. I absolutely loved their chemistry, banter and attraction. He was the perfect combination of sexy, sweet and debonair while she was a wonderful mix of beauty, wit and innate kindness. The two of them together were fiery hot!
Poppy Hathaway is the girl next door type that has a lyrical way with her words. She uses this talent to pen terms of endearment that those in love are unable to express. Dylan Griffin is the confident, wealthy and successful owner of a chain of hotels. He is also a playboy and Poppy’s biggest client to date. When he comes to her with a new job, it proves to be a doozy. She soon finds that she’s out of her depth and falling in love with the man himself. But will she be able to find the right words to win his heart?
Cupids Anonymous is fun, sexy and just an overall good time. The story-line was refreshing and entertaining, and the author delivered it with lots of witty, well-timed banter that amped up the addictiveness of this perfectly executed romcom. I devoured this book in just a few hours, laughing and loving it the whole way through. Well done Lila Monroe! 5 Fantastic Feel Good Stars!
I’m a high school English teacher, so I’m definitely familiar with Cyrano De Bergerac, but in Lila Monroe’s newest release, she modernizes the behind-the-scenes romance whisperer, broadening the different ways that heroine, Poppy Hatahway, can assist her clients in making amends for wrongdoings against those they love or find a way to say the right words that just might give them a second chance with someone they like and perhaps could possibly love.
But with Dylan Griffin’s new request, Poppy’s role changes and she finds herself in quite the non-Cyrano situation, because the more time these two spend together, the more involved their connection becomes, evolving from a professional one to one of friendship to one with a whole lot of sexual tension and a surfacing of feelings that won’t only complicate Poppy’s task, but just might send her spiraling in a way that she never thought she’d find herself in, at least when it came to what she always thought she wanted when it came to a significant other.
It’s difficult to see what’s truly in front of someone when that person is playing a role to help reunite you with another woman, and that’s exactly what happens to Dylan. Despite his growing connection to Poppy, she still is acting on his behalf for someone else to fall in love with him, so that poses a bit of a problem. But the way Lila Monroe helps Dylan to see just how lovable his quirky and full of life Cyrano truly is forces them both to make a decision about what happens next, which is about so much more than knowing what to say when it comes to love.
Cupids Anonymous is a sweet and funny romcom that makes for a perfect summer read. I definitely had a bit of a girl crush on Poppy and once readers were privy to who Dylan is at his core, I wanted him for Poppy; I just didn’t know how that would happen given what her professional objective was at the beginning of the story, but I sure did enjoy watching it all unfold.
4 Poison Apples
Cupids Anonymous by Lila Monroe is a standalone brand new romantic comedy about a modern day Cyrano and how she falls prey to her own machinations. Well-written and well-paced, told in dual POV, this sweet romance will have you laughing at the situations Poppy manages to get herself into and swooning when the guy finally realizes what is in front of him and goes for it!
Poppy Hathaway is a modern day Cyrano de Bergerac. Writing love letters for her clients, staging romantic dates, and anything else that helps her clients get out of their own way and give love a chance. Her best customer (and also her worst) is frequent flier, Dylan Griffin. SHe helps him reel in the ladies and also helps him let them down easy. Dylan isn’t one for longevity in a relationship but he is honest and open about it so no harm no foul. When Poppy’s scheming on his behalf opens his eyes to what really matters to him when it comes to affairs of the heart can he manage to get out of his own way before he loses her? Loved this! Enjoy!
Poppy is a new and improved Cyrano de Bergerac. Just like the original she can help you speak to your lover with just the words and phrases. Poppy’s favorite customer is billionaire playboy, Dylan. He’s a love them and leave them kinda guy until he sees his highschool crush, Jasmine. Poppy helps Dylan try to land Jasmine but Poppy finds herself attracted to Dylan and that’s a problem. woo the beautiful Jasmine, she cannot fight her own attraction to Dylan. I liked Poppy but it took awhile to warm up to Dylan. I don’t like my main characters hooking up with anyone else. It just bugs me. The book is well written and the plot isnt one of the usuals. I found myself giggling a time or two. Poppy and Dylan are good together and they get their HEA. I give this book a solid four stars and I recommend it for a good Beach read or just anytime you need a light fun book.
***I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review.***
Lila Monroe always knows how to start a new series off with a bang!
Let’s start with Dylan, because let’s real – who can resist a billionaire playboy? I know I can’t. And I didn’t. I fell for his roguish, cheeky ways from the beginning. He’s gorgeous, successful, and wealthy which is your initial draw to him. But underneath that layer of sophistication beats the heart of a goofy, funny, sometimes awkward man who might be a little clueless at times.
Poppy is a breath of fresh air. She’s upbeat, optimistic, and enthusiastic. And she’s fantastic at her job, but she’s so focused on her clients that she forgets about herself most of the time. She’s an extremely likable character too. She’s funny, sarcastic, awkward, and quirky. You can’t help but love her.
I really enjoyed this story! The slow-burning chemistry between these two keeps you hooked from the beginning. With so much witty banter and so many crazy shenanigans, you’ll stay highly entertained. This book put a smile on my face from beginning to end, and I highly recommend you snag a copy ASAP.
Poppy’s most frequent client needs help getting his first crush, the woman of his dreams from high school, to fall for him. The job should be a snap. After all, Dylan’s already charming on his own. He’s just a tad, uh, oblivious. Luckily for him, he’s gorgeous, as all the best playboys are, so Poppy’s Cyrano persona just needs to give him a little nudge to help him go get his woman.
Except, somehow, while trying to figure out how to get Jasmine to fall for him, Poppy and Dylan’s normally snarky banter-filled professional relationship turns into something other than professional. They’ve not labeled it, but it feels like more. But when the object of his high school love turns up, will Poppy be the loser in this game of capturing Dylan’s heart? What about her own heart?
I loved Poppy and Dylan! They’re so cute together and their chemistry threw sparks all over the place. I love how oblivious Dylan finally got his head out of his ass and allowed himself to finally be vulnerable to Poppy. That last grand gesture was heartfelt and swoony. Aww… If you like rom-coms at all, Cupids Anonymous should be on your TBR list!

4.5 stars
This book is completely adorable. It kind of reminded of the movie Hitch, where the “date doctor” helps create opportunities for folks with “the one”. But rather than being the man behind the door feeding words to Kevin James, Poppy is the woman behind the words wooing lovely hopeful daters in Cupids Anonymous.
Poppy is your modern day Cyrano, her words set hears aflutter and help tongue-tied bafoons say how they truly feel. She loves all things love and has turned it into a career. She’s helped starry eyed seventeen year old and geriatrics alike and it gives her the greatest pleasure doing Cupid’s good work…but she didn’t expect to get hit by her own arrow! Especially with her frequent flyer client Dylan. She’s penned more poems for him to woo women with than the bard himself ever did.
Dylan might be a hotelier but his real full time job is wooing women, with the help of his trusty side kick, Poppy the poet.
He might sound cavalier about dating but he’s honestly looking for his lobster, the one. I mean, no one spends this much money on sonnets and roses unless they actually believe in the fairy tale. When his highschool crush shows up, he believes it’s kismet and enlists Poppy’s help to make Jasmine fall in love. But spending time with the lovely Poppy makes him question everything he believes he wants.
This book was utterly adorable. I loved all the characters! Poppy and Dylan connected so brilliantly and their banter was so lighthearted and fun! They deserve their happily ever! Awesome, fun read!
AnnMarie – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
It’s a super amusing and sweet romance about a girl who was a born romantic and a man who appeared to be a manwhore. This book is a serious page-turner with a good plot, well written, detailed description and amazing choice of characters. Also, it contains hilarious and scorching hot scenes. The story takes place in present time with only a few references about the past as a better explanation for the characters’ situations. It’s solely focused on their professional and later
their romantic relationship but we also see them in their everyday occupations. The characters are very relatable and funny and they had great chemistry. I liked how aloof it started and how it slowly escalated. My favorite moments were her missteps and their drunken night. It is a very enjoyable book and i will rate it with 5 stars.

Just looking at this cover I smiled and did not even think twice about merging it to read and review after all I’m a super fan of the light and sexy writing of Lila Monroe too.
Poppy uses her creativity to help those who are passionate or desirous of affair who do not know what to say to conquer a crush. She creates letters, notes, declarations of love and requests for marriage a la Cyrano de Bergerac and makes good money from it. What she did not expect was that by helping the conqueror Dylan she would also succumb to his charms.
Dylan uses his charm and the words of Poppy to attract a huge range of women and to dispense them too, but the target this time is an old high school crush that does not give a damn about the guy’s charm. Dylan knows he’ll need plenty of ammunition to convince Jasmine that he’s the right guy for her.
He ball a plan and involves Poppy in the move but as they open up to each other the attraction and connection grows and he will need to decide who is right girl for him.
A fun romantic comedy that could well turn into a movie full of funny and embarrassing moments as well as very romantic scenes. Great request to relax the mind and put a big smile on the face.
Lila Monroe does not fail!
This is the first book by this author that I have read and I totally loved it!!! I absolutely loved the comical banter between Dylan and Poppy….it was THE BEST!!! I now have a new author to read!!!
Who is Poppy Hathaway? Why does Dylan Calloway go to see her? What good does it do Dylan to request her help if he is not going to liten to her? Who are Tyler and Jasmine? How do each of them play a part in the story? The bits and bobs of this story are sweet, funny, and at times embarassing for Poppy? What happens to her that causes Dylan to realize something? Overall, it was a cute read! Enjoy it and see what happens!

Every book I read by Lila Monroe just gets better and better! Cupids Anonymous is a playful and swoony insta-hit that gives all the sizzling and lighthearted feels.
Poppy and Dylan were fantastic characters! After reading the sneak peek at the end of Frisky Business, I knew we were in for a real treat and couldn’t wait to read their story. Although Poppy and Dylan’s connection was initially professional, their relationship effortlessly transitioned to a quirky friendship that had its fair share of comedic moments and flirty sexual tension. Their character growth matched perfectly with the unique storyline, and portrayed both characters strengths and weaknesses as strong plot points within the story.
Now usually I fall head-over-heels for every male character written by the author. But in this book, Poppy stole my heart completely! Her personality and optimistic outlook on relationships and love was super infectious, but it was her hardworking determination to achieve professional success on her own that really showed how strong of a character she really was. Don’t get me wrong, I go weak in the knees for a reformed playboy character, like Dylan, but Poppy was a breath of fresh air and I couldn’t help but love her.
Cupids Anonymous is the perfect summer rom-com, a fun and charming must-read that will leave you smiling from ear to ear!
