Les Springer, a widowed rancher, hasn’t stopped grieving for his wife. When three of his friends cook up a Valentine’s Day weekend at his B&B, chaos ensues. The three cowboys go to an online dating site to find matches. The only problem is, no one ends up with who they pick… almost. Jackson Coleridge, Les’ best buddy, kisses the wrong woman at the wrong time… in front of the wrong woman. … woman.
Jiggs Davis, Les’ ranch foreman, gets drafted at the last minute to squire one of the matched ladies… but she’s no lady.
Jayce Fulton, Les’ rodeo champion friend, tries to corral the lady no one wants… until she turns on him.
Harper Lewis, a social media guru, is divorced and thinks she’s looking for a husband… until she realizes she wants more. Can the cowboy she’s chosen meet her expectations?
Lillian Mayfield, a widowed accountant turned florist, comes across as stiff and formal and still… grieving. Is she ready to open her heart and discover a new love?
Cheyenne MacPherson, part Navajo and a sculptor, is dedicated to her work and feels the weekend is… one big mistake. Can a handsome cowboy change her mind?
Eva González, Les’ widowed cook and housekeeper, misses her children and longs for a sense of… family. Is she ready to start a new family with the man she loves?

Four lonesome cowboys try out a dating site and invite the ladies to a Valentine’s Day weekend. What’s the worst that can happen? Plenty! Les, Jackson, Jiggs and Jayce welcome the ladies, each with an eye on the lady they chose. But Cupid plays by a set of different rules and these cowboys are in for a few surprises. Can hearts be opened to the idea of love or is this just another online dating nightmare?
I wasn’t sure what was in store from me when I started reading Cupid Comes to the Lonesome Buzzard Ranch. The title is a mouthful but I fell in love with the cover so I gave it a shot. I’m so glad I did. A hysterical western romance with heroes who are set in their ways and heroines who have a mind of their own. But it’s Valentine’s Day weekend and no one wants to be alone on Valentine’s Day, right?
Each character brings something special to this story. The more I read, the more I loved this group of people. The humorous dialogue kept me laughing at the shenanigans. I have my favorites and they came to life through descriptive narration peppered with witty POV. The ending melted my heart. The only thing I didn’t care for was it was a tad slow in parts.
I love seasoned romance and this one is a gem. If you’re looking for a good romantic comedy set in a small western town, pick this up today! I’m hoping for a sequel.
Favorite Character/Quote: “I think you’ve lost your ever-loving mind,” Les interrupted. “If you’re thinking about using my B&B for some ‘love-in’ weekend with a bunch of strange women, you’d better think again.”
My Rating: 4.5 stars

Take four male friends and add four women to the mix, set them all up at a ranch and let them figure it all out. The women are selected via an online dating app, so there is some compatibility. The storyline has plenty of surprises, twists, intense feelings and drama. The characters are terrific as they feel like friends by the time you are half way through the book. Loved how they opened up to each other, the banter and sass, as well as caring and trust they show. Amazing ending. The author knocked another story out of the park. Well done.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. It is Valentines and Cupid is slinging arrows. Take four lonely cowboys, online dating, four women who are not expecting love and you have a lot of humor, misunderstandings, misconceptions, surprises, romance and love. I really enjoyed this book, it has a lot going on but it flows well. Each couple was perfect together

Awesome stories! I do not know how to start with this review as I originally thought it would focus on the owner of the Lonesome Buzzard Ranch, but it was truly more on four couples instead. This is my first book from this author and I love the style.
The four couples are Les and Lilly; Jayce and Cheyenne; Jackson and Harper; Eva (the housekeeper) and Jiggs; there was supposed to be a fifth which would have been Connor and Chanelle but he did not show leaving Chanelle alone and a terrible person at that! Each couple had their issues but overall made out well in the end.
The book is hilarious, these are not your young ones but mature men looking for a second chance to love and be loved. The ending was great Connor did not know what was coming but it was great!

This was a unique read with four middle aged men, who were ranchers in New Mexico and known each other most of their lives had gotten together for an outing. When they stopped to eat one of them was talking about he had signed up for internet dating. These men were widowers and one had lost his fiancee in an accident. One had a B&B in conjunction with his ranch, but he was planning on closing it down, because he did not want to deal with it any more after the passing of his wife. The one with the internet date talked the other three into a Valentine Weekend with dates from the Eheart dating site for the last blowout for the B&B. The internet dater was in charge setting the entire thing up. He set it all right, the perfect dates for everyone else, but his date was a fraud and con artist among other things. Plus, at the last minute he called and cancelled leaving the rest of them to deal with his mess. It was interesting to see the story unfold as these two widowers that had not dated since the passing of their wives, the serial dating rodeo star whose fiancee passed away, and the the poor ranch foreman that got drafted at the last minute. There will be surprise after surprise to be discovered as these men seem there second chance at love.

Four lonesome cowboys, a dating site and an invitation to some single ladies for a Valentine’s Day weekend. What could possibly go wrong?
An entertaining read with characters that are just as enjoyable as the story line. The story is entertaining, flows smoothly and captures your attention. How could it not with 4 very handsome cowboys? You enjoy getting to know the characters as you turn each page. Moments where you can’t help but laugh out loud at the antics and events that happen. An enjoyable read that’s perfect for your summer evenings unwinding from a busy day.

The first book in the Lonesome Buzzard Ranch series, What could possibly go wrong when four cowboys decide to try on-line dating for Valentine’s Day weekend, a lot apparently! Les Springer, Jackson Coleridge, Les’ best buddy, Jiggs Davis, Les’ ranch foreman, and Jayce Fulton, Les’ rodeo champion friend. The ladies are Harper Lewis, a social media guru, is divorced and thinks she’s looking for a husband, Lillian Mayfield, a widowed accountant turned florist, Cheyenne MacPherson, part Navajo and a sculptor, and Eva González, Les’ widowed cook and housekeeper. Let the fun begin. I recommend this book.
What can happen when 4 men decide to get 4 women from a internet dating site to come to a B&B for a long Valentine’s weekend – well there is the extra dog, the nasty B$#%! and 3 wonderful ladies that get assigned and rerouted with the correct man to make it a worthy weekend and for the one that called off at the last minute – well a good dunk in a horse trough was well deserved – loved reading this one!!

Original and different:
This querky and fairly humorous story where some long in the tooth ranchers tried their hand at internet dating by hosting a Valentine’s weekend on the ranch. However nothing seemed to go to plan, especially who was supposed to be paired with whom. Unfortunately there were plenty of disasters and missteps for everyone to navigate but eventually Cupid proved to be resilient and the perfect matches were made
Whilst it had it’s fun moments, I found some of the goings on to be a bit much for me. The characters weren’t always very nice to each other and I was hoping for a bit more of an emotional connection to everyone. If you are looking for something different and not your typical twenties romance, then this may be for you

Hilarious story that will make you laugh, as well as tear up with all the goings on and secrets revealed during Valentines weekend. All’s well that ends well when the rough and tough cowboys begin falling for the ladies who will make them believe in love again. HEA’s are guaranteed!

The first Lonesome Buzzard Ranch book gave Cupid a busy time. With all the mix-ups in couples, the ones who succeeded, and the one spoilsport made for one of the most amusing romances I have read in a while. When it comes to Rom-Coms, Hebby Roman is at the top of the lists. I could not put this book down with its combination of older generation values and younger generation realities. The only situation I had with this book is I could not wait for the sequel. I do not want to describe the story as it would give too much away. Just know this is one of the best books you will read this year. Thank you Hebby Roman for your delightful entertainment and I hope to see more in the future, right after the sequel of course. I highly, highly recommend this book.
You want a good time reading, laughing, smiling and enjoying some romance? This is the book you must read. I laughed at times over the antics and statements made by middle aged men about the women they would like to meet, have become acquainted with and would possibly marry. Good humor and great romance in this story. It’s a great mix of widowers, widows, divorced and confirmed bachelor story-line that is definitely entertaining. It all starts with ehearts.com and the meeting of eligible men and women for a weekend at a B & B. You will laugh at Shep and the big poodle, cry over Eva and Jiggs and love every minute of this book.
