Crystals and Criminals the 8th instalment in the Magic and a Mystery series by Lily Webb. I think this series is my favourite paranormal cozy mystery ! Lily Webb writes a tantalizing story that grabs you from the very beginning! The latest instalment did not disappoint, and it has left me wanting to know more …
Any time I get to spend with Zoe and her friends is time well spent. Lily is very talented in her descriptive writing and because of this your pulled into the story right away.
I like how the characters keep evolving and I am enjoying seeing Zoe’s relationship with Beau grow into something special. There were plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing.
I highly recommend this series to all my friends.

Well, I didn’t see any of this coming, which is funny since this story centers around divination. I was totally surprised by the ending, which is how I like it! Wonderful characters and a hard to solve mystery. Loved it!

Another Enchanting Cozy in This Series
Mercy, there was a lot going on in this cozy mystery! The book starts with a meeting at Zoe’s, the Head Witch’s, house. During this meeting, she learns from a friend about Madame Astra and her fortune-telling app. The next day, Zoe meets her at a Chamber of Commerce meeting and has a rather disturbing reading. No sooner is Zoe back in her office than she finds out about mysterious goings-on. Can she figure out behind it? And how exactly does the app work? Can it really be as Madame Astra says? That seems impossible. Madame Astra’s crystal ball goes missing, too. Zoe will learn more about her magic as well. A lot happens in this story with both the familiar characters as well as new ones. I really enjoy the little touches of humor that the author is able to weave in, especially in dialogue. The characters in the book have their own little unique sayings that reflect their paranormal community, turns of phrases on what we normally would think the words should be. I love wordplay like that. This is the 8th book of the series, but it could be read as a stand-alone without causing much confusion. Although, of course, you would probably appreciate the story more knowing the full background.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
Zoe is back at it investigating when one of Moon Grove’s witches is found dead. This time there are many suspects and crazy things are happening all over town. Great writing, entertaining storyline and intriguing characters made this a page turning from the first page until the last. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Moon Grove.
Being the leader is a thankless job, but our heroine tries hard. Unfortunately, others did not get the memo and she has a new murder to solve.
This is book eight in the series. The book works very well as a standalone. All the essentials are covered early on, so feel free to start at any point.
The story is well written and easy to follow with a plot that definitely has lots of twists which keep the reader on his/her toes as well as a dose of humor which provides a good chuckle now and then. The setting is nicely detailed and populated by a diverse cast of crazy characters that bring the story to life. Life is never dull here, and these books are never easy to put down. I am still really enjoying this series and look forward to more in the future.
Highly recommended.

Who knew that magical worlds have career or job expos? This world incorporates modern world since it has a possible bidding war over a magical psychic app.
Next question is the seer for real and how does she do it. She predicts an event(s) and gives Zoe confirmation of something she knew but didn’t want to know?
Have you confused? Good!!! Go read this story and find out for yourself. More fun that way.
I like the ending of this book saw it coming, hee hee. What will happen inn the next one? Great story for cozy mystery lovers.
I still miss the beginning when she was learning her powers and they said she was something else. Waiting for more of that, Raina, and Mallory.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
I loved how with this one there were so many suspects and it really was hard to work out who was telling the truth and who was innocent or guilty, and then the surprise revelation that was wow and yes I may have fist pumped at the news!!

Zoe finds herself in the middle of a mystery that could cost more than one life. Crystals and Criminals is a suspenseful novel in the Magic and Mystery Series. I enjoyed the twists in this story and the developments in Zoe’s and Beau’s relationship.

I do not know how she does it, but Lily Webb consistently delivers a book that is always just as good as and a little bit better than the previous.
You cannot help but feel for Zoe, here is a Witch who’s life has changed so much in the time she has lived in Moon Grove, from not knowing she was a Witch to being Head Witch of the town she has come to love,
And Protect it she will! When a psychic comes to Moon Grove with an unusual business model, not to mention she seems to know an awful lot more than she should, well Zoe needs to check her out, Murder Mystery and more about Moon Grove ensue.
Like all the previous books I think I have said BEST ONE EVER and I really really do mean it, but Lily Webb keeps outdoing herself, this is an action packed fun filled cosy mystery and I love that I CAN say that they keep outdoing themselves. It means Lily is just as invested in Zoe and Moon Grove as I/we are. As ever I really, really cannot wait to see where this series will go.

Crystals and Criminals is the eighth book in the Magic and Mystery series.
I love this series and this book is no exception. With each story, Zoe, Beau, and the others gain in character development. The storyline is well written and entices the reader to settle in and try to solve the mystery along with them.
I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

One of Moon Grove’s witches is found dead. Is it murder or the work of a visiting psychic? Zoe doesn’t believe in divinity and decides to check it out for herself by getting a reading. She was shocked to find out the seer knew things she shouldn’t have about her past. With Heath’s help she starts investigating the death and the strange things going on it town. Great story, I can’t wait to find out what is in store in the next book. If you like paranormal, mystery and great characters you will enjoy this story.
There is so much going on here! Zoe and Beau have an open house for the town’s residents. When Flora, her fairy friend, asks how things are working out with the newly expanded Moon Grove Council, she admits it has been stressful since getting thirteen witches and warlocks to agree on something had been difficult, but now convincing twenty-six people of various species to do something is almost impossible. Mallory Crane, her best friend, then mentioned a new fortune-telling app that everyone is going crazy about which the traveling psychic owner, Madame Adele Astra, may be selling at the Business Fair the next day. It could be a scam, but Zoe was going to check her out. An offer of a personal reading brought up even more questions, as Madame Astra told the overwhelmed Zoe — who would not stay to hear about her parents’ fate — that she would not be seeing Ms. Rowena Norwood again.
When Rowena Norwood, founder and CEO of Norwood Creative, in a bidding war to acquire Madame Astra’s app technology, dies with no visible cause of death, Zoe tries to gather more details, but things get stranger and stranger. Everyone seems to be hiding something. Will she get to the bottom of the matter and find out who did this?
Another wonderful cozy mystery in this series! Great characters we all know and love, along with a fast-paced plot and a mystery to tackle, keeps the reader avidly following along trying to figure out who did what and why! Grab your copy and join the hunt for the murderer!

This can be read as a stand alone but is so much better if other books in the series have been read. Zoe Clark can’t help but jump into the middle of a murder investigation, it’s just her nature. And, as with the other Magic & Mystery books, this one takes off almost right away and doesn’t stop until the end. Everyone involved is hiding something so the plot is nice and twisty. Along the way Zoe is forced to face her long held beliefs about her past so that she can move forward with her future. And we get a nice surprise at the end.
