ONLY BOUNDLESS LOVE CAN SILENCE THE WHISPERS OF THE PAST . . .A broken woman. A damaged man. A free spirit intent on saving them both.Elysia ‘Sia’ Willis lives a solitary life. The only person in it is her big brother, Ky, vice-president of the infamous Hades Hangmen. She loves him, but she has absolutely no love for the outlaw MC he belongs to. Raised in secret by her mother, Sia grew up … her mother, Sia grew up separated from her brother and distant father. No one knew she even existed.
After the tragic murder of her mother, Sia spiraled into a rebellion against the rules of the Hangmen. A rebellion with dire consequences that now, years later, she still can’t escape.
As she lives once again in secret, happy on her own at her secluded ranch, a devil from her past comes calling. A devil who wants to possess her once again and take her from the simple life she never wants to lose.
And he will stop at nothing to collect what he believes is his: her.
Valan ‘Hush’ Durand and Aubin ‘Cowboy’ Breaux have finally found a home in the mother chapter of the Hangmen. The notoriously private Cajun twosome have, for now, put aside what chased them from their beloved Louisiana. But as threats toward the club build, Hush and Cowboy are given a task—protect Elysia Willis at all costs. Cowboy welcomes the job of watching over the blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty.
Hush fights against it.
Scarred by events from his past and a secret that plagues his everyday life, Hush refuses to let anyone else get close. Only Cowboy knows the real him. Until a certain sister of the club’s VP begins to slowly knock down his defenses, shattering the heavily built walls that guard his damaged soul . . . with his best friend leading the charge.
As lost and open hearts begin to meld, taking each other from indescribable pain to the never-before felt relief of peace, the newly-mended threesome must first endure one more rocky path.
Only then will they finally shake free of the shackles of their pasts.
Only then will they shed the bonds that have for too long held their happiness captive.
And there is only one way to survive that path . . . together.

Crux Untamed is, along with Souls Unfractured, my favorite book from the Hades Hangmen series. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it since it touches hard topics. Yet, reading it was so worth it. You truly fall in love with Hush and Cowboy because they are, simply, amazing characters. Once again, Tillie Cole’s writing is superb.
Sia, Hush and Cowboy
A friggen mazing. No other words needed
To date, Crux Untamed is the absolute best book in The Hades Hangmen series and one of the BEST books I’ve read this year. I didn’t think Tillie Cole could top Heart Recaptured (Ky and Lilah’s book) and then she managed to exceed my expectations. Tillie Cole truly is the Queen of Dark Romance. She’s never afraid to take risks with her writing and to me, that’s what makes her one of the best authors out there. There are some taboo subjects in Crux Untamed however she wrote it with respect and tact. If you are hesitant to read Crux Untamed because the characters are involved in a ménage relationship, you are depriving yourself of one hell of a book. It’s not just about ménage, it’s SO much more. This book has many elements to it. It’s touching, angsty, raw, heart breaking and gritty.
Sia is Ky’s sister and we learned a little about her past in Heart Recaptured. The extent of her past is revealed and it’s definitely a doozy. My heart broke for her. Hush has so much anger, pain and sadness. Once the secrets about his past are revealed I wanted to reach into the book and hold him. There aren’t enough words to describe the emotions I felt about the trauma he went through. And everybody needs a best friend like Cowboy. He’s just amazing. In a way all three have damaged souls yet Cowboy is definitely the one who brings light to their relationship which chases away their fears and brings them out of the darkness.
Of course it wouldn’t be a Tillie Cole book without surprises and I cannot WAIT to read the next book in this series.
4.5 stars
“From the minute we met you, I could see in you what I see in him every day… loneliness.”
I love the Hades Hangmen series. It is so much more than just a Biker/Dark Romance. I have read many books in these genres, but Tillie Cole is one of the few authors that can elevate her stories to a higher level. She is also one of the few authors whose book blurbs I don’t have to read to decide if I want to read the book. After all the amazing previous books in this series, I had very high expectations for Crux Untamed. The fact that it was a Menage (MFM), had me even more excited. I didn’t doubt for a second that Tillie would come up with a great story for Hush, Cowboy and Sia.
“I realized that I’d wanted this. Wanted Hush as much as I wanted Cowboy since the first time I met them. It didn’t make sense. Nothing about this made sense, about how we three meshed and melded into one organic whole.”
While Cowboy was free spirited, Hush was very closed off and didn’t let anyone besides Cowboy really into his life. Sia was strong and wanted to show to the world she was doing okay. However, these three were broken, two more than the other. I couldn’t contain my tears when I read where Hush came from and what he had been through in the past. It was so heartbreaking and made me very angry. Sia, also didn’t have the easiest past and was still trying to find a way to fully move on from the horrific events she’d been through. Cowboy, was a very important factor in having these two broken individuals come together and see that they weren’t that different from one another. I loved these three together so much. It was just the perfect balance of personalities, and they completed each other.
“Four hands to touch me, four arms to hold me… two hearts to make love to me and chase away the dark.”
Like in every Hades Hangmen book you’ll get enough action, HOT sex scenes (VERY hot), and very emotional moments that will have you crying. Crux Untamed is another amazing addition to one of my favorite series, and I am really looking forward to what Tillie has in store for us next with Darkness Embraced which is Tanner’s Story. The only reason I didn’t give this book a full 5 star is because I felt like Cowboy sometimes didn’t play as an important role as Hush and Sia, and I wanted to shake Hush and tell him that he is amazing and deserves all the best in the world. Lovers of this series will not be disappointed with this book!
As always Tillie Cole delivers an emotionally charged book that sees Sia, Hush and Cowboy face their past head on and build a life together in a ménage relationship. I felt the book was very tastefully written and wasn’t just a full on sex fest as some ménage books can be.
Told from a multiple POV; the book is character based rather than plot as Sia is still recovering from her time in Mexico at the hands of sex trafficker Garcia. Tillie also deals with some very emotional and controversial topics as she deals with the effects of a multi racial relationship and the horror and social out casting that surrounded Hush’s parents at the hands of ‘White Power’ and the torment that followed their son throughout his life. It was heartfelt as well as heart-breaking that this way of thinking is still very much alive and kicking in some places. Cowboy too had his own tale to tell. I loved all of these characters greatly and it was good to reconnect with Styx and Ky once more. This bunch are definitely my favourite MC series. The writing is dark but realistic and plausible.
The story leads nicely into the next plot as it starts to move away from the cult and into the Mexican Cartel and The KKK and this book was a great bridge into that
Not my favorite of the series but still a good book
This is another great MC book that has come from the twisted but wonderful brain of Tillie Cole. We still have the Hades Hangmen, but we’ve moved away from the cult, mostly because none of them are still around. This time we have a cartel as our bad guys.
Sia is Ky’s little sister. She’s spent the last several years hiding on her ranch and doesn’t use her own name on a lot of things. She has a cartel head after her head. He had tricked her into falling for him, but when she found out what he really did, she tried to get away. It took Ky and Styx to finally get away from him, and he’s been keeping an eye out for her ever since.
Hush and Cowboy are good friends. They do everything together, including women. They came from the New Orleans chapter but are now members of the head chapter in Austin. When Sia needs to have someone come watch out for her, she chooses to have Hush and Cowboy come. She’s been attracted to both of them, and they are both attracted to her.
There are a lot of things going on in this. Hush’s past on his own and then the combined past of Hush and Cowboy make things difficult for Hush to deal with things. Then there’s Ky. Great book, great story.
I love Tillie Cole. She could write a menu and I’d find it fascinating and sexy. And I adore these characters. I am so happy with the endings for Hush, for Cowboy AND for Sia. I am thrilled that an MC has a never ending supply of characters to write about. Keep them coming Tillie!!
“Damaged like you too, brother. You could help each other. She’s all alone. She fucking needs someone.”
The Hangmen are baaaaack! I have forever loved the Hangmen and their stories, but for this release I was a little nervous. Having three main characters gave me a slight pause, but I was willing to give it a go, because I really wanted to know Cowboy & Hush’s story!
This story was absolutely not what I was expecting. It had everything I wanted, and a few things I didn’t know I wanted. Let’s address the three character issue first – it was most definitely something that made me extremely nervous going in because I’m generally not a fan of odd couplings. These three absolutely need each other. It’s like each of them were actually meant to bring strength & belonging to the others.
Once I got past all my hangups there, this story had a lot going on. This story opened up Sia’s life, delved into all of Cowboy’s past, and finally gave Hush a voice. The lives of these three were ingrained with so much unhappiness. Each of them faced a past that could’ve taken them out of this world, but somehow made it through. And when they, although belatedly, let each other in, they found a strength they’d have never had on their own.
In true Hangmen fashion, there was of course some action! Sia’s past brought about some serious conflict, which made me a bit uneasy for a while. This lead to a conflict which … well, let’s just say there is a little unfinished business to be had.
A solid continuation in the Hangmen series.
Yet another EPIC love story for the Hades Hangmen MC. I love, love, LOVE a good triad love story, and Tillie Cole did a magnificent job of bringing this story to life while still keeping true to the MC feel of the series.
Finding love and keeping it is no feat for a one percenter and the Hades Hangmen live knowing any day could be their last. Each haunted by their own pasts (even their women know life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows), these men live a life they’re willing to die to defend and protect and know they’ll have their brothers by their sides.
With Cowboy and Hush, that brotherhood bond is much stronger than just being MC brothers. With a history that stems from past and present social issues they end up finding the love they’ve longed for in Sia, a forbidden temptation with sass, feistiness and a tough exterior that would put any biker in their place. Being the sister of their VP, they know she’s off-limits, but they feel a connection to her that overrides any fears they have a retribution from their VP and Prez. She becomes the air they breathe and they’ll let everything go to keep her in their lives.
But inside, Sia is just as broken as Hush and Cowboy is the glue that binds them all-the three of them find something truly remarkable and outside the norm, especially in the MC life. The three of them share a deeper understanding of each and it only intensifies their connection and makes it that much more beautiful.
This was a remarkable story and Tillie Cole told it brilliantly
5 “Love doesn’t see color. Only pure hearts.” Stars!!! There are no words to explain how much I adored this story. It’s so much more than phenomenal, epic, amazing, it’s everything. Tillie Cole has a way with words, her writing style is poetic and extraordinary. Crafting a breathtaking story, painting a picture with imagery so vivid that you feel like you are there, living and breathing these characters. Feeling emotions that are thought provoking about current issues that are unfortunately still prevalent in today’s society. Taking you on an amazing journey, that you won’t want it to end. Cowboy has moved up in rank as one of my top Hangmen favs, so sweet, flirty, sexy and GOOD. Hush, my heart hurt and healed with him. Both are perfect for Sia, who is broken but so strong. Love knows no bounds with these three. How parts of all of them combined, make them a whole. I highly recommend this book, as it should be read in order in this series. Tillie Cole will forever be an automatic one click author for me. I can’t wait for the next book. “Live Free. Ride Free. Die Free!”
