The kid is now a man, and he’s got something to prove…..Caleb “Cruise” Harrison“A Dad is a son’s first hero……”All my life I’ve looked up to my Dad, there’s nothing I ever wanted to do more than be a member of the Moonshine Task Force right next to him. I said no to playing football professionally to stay in Laurel Springs and fulfill my dream. I’m biding my time, paying my dues, and soaking up … time, paying my dues, and soaking up any bit of information my fellow MTF members slip my way. To most of them I’m the kid they watched grow up, and while they’re proud of me, they don’t take me seriously.
Life is status quo until the morning all hell breaks loose in our small town threatening everyone I know and love – including the one woman I can’t get out of my head.
Ruby Carson
“My favorite place? In his arms……”
Caleb saved me from the worst date of my life, swooping in like the fixer he is. Smiling his panty-melting grin, he grabbed my hand, and extricated me from the longest ninety minutes known in the history of the world.
Instead, he took me on the best date I’ve ever had. We’ve been inseparable since that crazy night.
It hasn’t been picture-perfect. His job is dangerous, it worries me, even when he tells me not to. One gorgeous summer day, it all comes crashing down on us.
The man who has my heart is in the middle of a FUBAR situation that has no good ending. My hope is, when the smoke clears Caleb walking towards me, arms out-stretched, with that grin on his face, before he envelopes my body into the hug only he can give.
That’s what would happen in a perfect world – but I’ve never known a perfect world – not even with Caleb……

Absolutely loved Cruise.. I loved him in the Mason book and love his story even more now. I was on the edge of my seat at times with this story line. My heart was in my stomach when things went down. But the story line was amazing. The chemistry between Ruby and Cruise was yummy. You could easily see it and feel it right from the start. Gripping well written from beginning to end. A great addition to this series. Highly recommend. Absolutely loved it
This was the perfect story. Take a much loved character and show him as a grown up. A very sexy grown up. I loved it. I love books from Laramie Briscoe…..they always have all the feels.
I wasn’t sure if I would be able to love this one as much as I did Menace (which was my first to read in this series), but WOW!! This story starts off with such momentum that I was worried I would get bored with it – I did not! I was not able to put this one down!! I love everything about this book! Caleb and Ruby were just so dang amazing! This is another FIVE STARS for this author and series!
This is the sixth and final book in the Moonshine Task Force series. Very well written, action packed, sizzling chemistry with fantastic characters. Caleb (Cruise) was raised to be such a gentleman and never fails to do so. Ruby is an amazing high school History teacher who really cares about her students. The way they meet and the start of their relationship was touching. I hate this series is over but absolutely adore this series. Laramie Briscoe is such an amazingly wonderful writer. She makes you feel the characters, the action and storyline throughout her writing. She makes us as readers feel included in her books. The details she writes, the exceptional characters and the storylines are always fabulous. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Cruise by Laramie Briscoe is book 6 in the Moonshine Task Force series. Cruise brings out all the feels. He is hot and compassionate and everything you could want in a man. Cruise helps a women who is on a date and the date turns bad and Cruise steps in and helps the women. Ruby is not expecting the hot guy that comes to her rescue. Cruise and Ruby’s story is one that keeps you hooked and not wanting to stop reading. Laramie knows how to add all the feels in a story and this one is no different. Thank you Laramie for another amazing story.
This is the final book in the Moonshine Task Force series and we see Cruise Aka Caleb who we met through this series as he has grown up with the task force since his father is Menace. He stole my heart in his dads book finally getting the mother figure he needed and deserved, now he is all grown up and a member himself .
Ruby was on the date from hell when she met Caleb and he saved her, she somehow knew her life would never be the same that night,
These two go through a lot during their courtship, his work tries to pull them apart , you have got to read this book it will make you fall in love with the task force all over again
The Moonshine Task Force has been one of my favorite series over the past several months. We have followed these heroic amazing men as they fight the crime on the force, especially when it comes to cleaning up their small town of Moonshine. We have watched the men meet the loves of their lives and start raising families.
But in this, the final book of the series, we get to see our beloved Caleb as an adult. We have watch Caleb grow up throughout the series and fight many obstacles along the way, but none so trying as those he faces now. Caleb has grown up to be an upstanding young man. He’s polite, respected, gand living his dream of being on the MTF with his dad and giving back to the town he loves. But we also learn he’s got a bit of a bad boy side and boy does this reader love it. He is every girls dream including the shy and insecure Ruby (well she is until she meets Caleb), he tends to bring out her inner wants and desires that even she didn’t know she had. But can it last, because both Caleb and Ruby have not had the best history when it comes to relationships. But Caleb and Ruby share a remarkable connection. One that the author’s words will have you feeling right along with them; its raw, emotional and passionate. But things are never perfect. When life throws them a major hurdle can these two figure out a way to get over it together or is this just another breaking point.
I Tip my Hat to the Ms. Briscoe for an amazing book and series – both of which are 5 star Must Reads.
I loved Caleb’s book! It was truly amazing and everything I could want in a book.
Well another hit out of the park!!! Think this was my favorite one! I love seeing the grown up of the younger kid we read about before & I think Ruby just makes the story even better.. i laughed.. i sobbed at a few parts.. i wont name them do to spoilers.. but please know you will be missing an awesome book if you pass this one up. Start at the begining & read about all the MTF.. you will enjoy it.
I have been dying to read this since I finished Menace and it was entirely worth the wait! Caleb’s story is just as amazing as I expected it to be. Honestly, it’s even more than I thought it would be. Sweet sweep you off your feet romance, real emotion, and moments that had me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t get enough of this book.
Having met Caleb as a teenager and already getting a glimpse of the man he would become still didn’t prepare me for how much I loved him. A romantic gentleman and unbelievably sexy at the same time he had me completely melted right from the beginning. I adored him with Ruby. She was sweet, gentle, and kindhearted fitting in perfectly not just with him but with his tight knit family quickly. I was totally swept away by this book!
What a way to conclude the moonshine Task Force. The young boy we first met has grown up into one hellova fine man in all aspects.
It’s kinda sad to see this series end. But if it does with Caleb to bring everything well full circle it does warm the heart. Ruby well what a better girl for Caleb to fall for is perfect in every way.
You must read this one it’s worth every laugh and tear Laramie has written and I’m sure spent herself writing this one
Laramie stepped it up with Menace however she hit it out of the park with Cruise. I feel as if it was a perfect blend between the sexy, intense, alpha male of Mason and the romantic, sweet, heartbreaking side of Tank.
Caleb and Ruby venture through so much in a very young relationship, they fall head over heels in love within 24 hours of meeting. Caleb is the man of her dreams and values her. He is strong enough to push her boundaries yet provides her with such comfort and security for Ruby to lower all of her guards and embrace her inner wild side. Ruby is a young high school teacher learning to find her way in a new career, finding out her mentor is her new lovers’ mother. The two set off sparks in the cafe and the chemistry stays on high throughout the novel. I loved to watch the interaction between Ruby and Kelsea, it showed how strong her connect to the family was and how accepting they were of Ruby. One of the things that keeps me coming back and falling more in love with this series is the how emotionally invested a person can become when reading them. Each character is relatable to everyday life, whether they be a teacher, wife, mom, partner to a law enforcement officer, or even being the law enforcement officer themselves. She does approach a very touchy subject concerning the use of deadly force, there is no hidden message being pushed on readers. The plot touches on the subject but never loses focus on Caleb and Ruby. When the relationship started to take a more serious turn, Ms. Briscoe had me pacing up and down the hallway, repeating… Do not do it Laramie, no, no, no, no, do not do it; my kids thought I had lost my mind and were asking if I was okay. Turns out, Caleb and Ruby are more than just ok, they were made for each other and are the perfect couple to end the Moonshine Task Force Series with. The Moonshine Task Force has become my favorite series and is one that I will read and reread and recommend to any readers, it is worth every penny to to have these in your library!
I just saw the cover–exactly how I pictured Caleb. I’ve been so excited from the time I learned he was getting his own book. He is an outstanding, emotion demanding, character and I have loved him from his first mention.
His dad is in the MTF. It’s all Caleb wanted to be even when he was drafted into the NFL. Turned it down to do what he had to get on the team. And he did it. Not with any special treatment. Caleb had a hard life. Great dad but when you’re 16 when your son is born and you are a single parent life isn’t easy for either of you.
All grown up he’s watched his dad finally find a woman to complete him. A woman who gave Caleb a mother and a little sister he adores. It’s his time. Or so he hopes when he meets Ruby. Stepping in the middle of the date with a real loser, Caleb ends up driving her home after her date is otherwise detained. So begins the romance.
This story takes place over a long period of time using special days and activities to mark the progression of their feelings. It’s not all roses. Still, both want the same thing eventually. They want it enough to make sure before they make a commitment. There is plenty of steam. The two are a bit snarky with each other in mostly a good way. She is a strong woman and it will take that to be with a man on the Task Force. Life isn’t easy or guaranteed. Can they make it through all the bad time as well as the good?
Another winner from the author. This is for sure a re-read series and one I recommend to all.
Reviewed for Words Turn Me On
Laramie has done it again, with Caleb and Ruby ! I love each and every one of the MTF guys and their better half’s but up until now it’s been a tight race between Havoc and Mason but let me tell you Caleb puts up a hell of a fight to win the top spot ! While reading each one of these book I’ve grown to love and felt like I was apart of the MTF family and as an Alabama girl I love that this series is set in my hime state .. Roll Tide Roll !!! I love how Laramie makes Caleb such a sexy alpha but also allows him to have his faults and still manage to make us love him, but I’m a sucker for a strong leading lady who isn’t afraid to put her alpha in his place when need be !!! Kudos Laramie you’ve once again left me wanting more MTF and I’m sad but excited to see this series end and what’s to come
I want to know where to find a man like the Harrison men from this series because if I thought that Mason was a dream man, Caleb did not disappoint either! Caleb and Ruby’s story was a great story that I enjoyed from start to finish. I enjoyed watching the pair grow in their relationship and I liked how the events of the book took place over a period of a year as opposed to just a few months; making their story more realistic and believable. I enjoyed catching up with the characters from some of the previous books catching up with those couples and showing how intertwined each book in this series was even though each can be read as a standalone read. Caleb and Ruby both had some realistic issues that are relatable to the reader that over the course of the book they worked through. There were also a few twists that I did not see but felt fit with their story. Caleb’s story was a perfect ending to this series and I am glad his story was left for last.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
After reading Menace, I was worried for Caleb. Not the person he would grow into, but because his story had to follow his dad’s and it was an amazing book.
Caleb is quite the man and he checks off all the book boyfriend boxes – courteous, kind, handsome and dominant!!! He has grown up to be quite the man and he’s ready for the next chapter in his life…he just didn’t know he was going to start it that day.
Ruby is on the date from hell and can’t get it over with quick enough. When a stranger steps in to be her hero she has no idea how it is going to change her life.
I loved both of these characters. One scene that I loved is when they go to dinner at Ruby parent’s home and it gives her perspective of her life she had been missing. Big Guy’s son has grown into Hot Stuff and I couldn’t be happier for him. But life isn’t all straight roads, will they be able to navigate the twists and turns? Will one event define their lives?
This is an absolutely wonderful series and I have enjoyed the journey with each of these characters…I’m kind of hoping a secondary character mentioned might be the start of something new.
I loved seeing Caleb grow up.. I think it was one of the best in the series… Hoping to see books from the other kids also. Highly recommended.
Caleb Harrison, aka “Cruise”, is all grown up and following in his father’s footsteps as a fully-fledged member of the Moonshine Task Force. His life is about to change when he overhears a date going horribly wrong.
Ruby Carson, aka “Red” is a first year teacher on a bad first date. She’s saved from what is the worst date of her life when Cruise steps in.
This final installment in Laramie’s MTF Series is eagerly anticipated & her hottest yet. The intense chemistry between Red & Cruise manages to surpass that of Menace & Rina, from Laramie’s bestselling book, Menace.
Red & Cruise’s relationship is ‘cruising’ along when Cruise has a work crisis that makes him question his humanity. He pushes everyone away, including the woman who loves him. Will he move past this devastating development or will he finally realize that the love they share is what can help save him?
The sizzling dynamic between Ruby & Caleb is not to be missed. I cannot say enough, how much I seriously loved this series. Laramie Briscoe’s insane level of talent continues to raise the bar of expectation and the level of entertainment with each new release.

Here’s your sign big boy….
I’m seriously wondering where my friend found this idiot because so far all he’s done is behave like a jerk making rude commits.
However I’m more impressed by the beautiful tall drink of water who insisted on having a word with my so-called date.
I honestly couldn’t believe that guy had some nerve to talk to a woman like that.
But I’m pretty sure she doesn’t mind one iota that he’s getting a free ride courtesy of one of my co-worker’s.
It’s just a shame my date won’t be around for dessert but it seems he’s a very bad boy and not in the good way has a new date; which includes shinny bracelets.
Her name is Ruby and I’m planning on offering her a ride home after all my dad didn’t raise no fool and even Leighton vouched for my character telling her I was a good guy that she can trust me.
It’s a small world indeed because apparently his step-mom is one of my colleagues; and I never would have believed it but Caleb finally convinced me it was all true.
Granted my job and the hours I usually work are not always allow much time for sleep let alone anything else.
However if there important enought to saddle them with a cute nickname then they’re definitely important enough to find the time.
What started out as some serious cuddle time for us ended up being a whole lot more.
Turned into something I’d wanted since we first meet; and nope one hundred percent not sorry I’d wanted to touch him like this for awhile now.
I can’t believe I’m awake in more ways then one and I’m not about let the perfect opportunity go.
However once we’ve come back down to earth it becomes apparently I’m out of time.
I learned a long time ago to wait and see before introducing a girl to my family but Ruby is truly different.
When a suspect from another county crossed over into ours I was the first to face him.
There no way to know how a scene can effect you until afterwards and you can finally have time to stand still.
But I’m not like the others and this is totally knocked me to my knees I can’t seem to wrap my head around it.
So I’m reverting back to my only defense mechanism that I know doesn’t work at all but that doesn’t stop either.
Sometimes there’s only one person who knows how to deal with me and he’s never once spared my feelings.
However now that I’m thinking clearer I’m going to have show my Ruby Red that she does matter to me and I’m willing to do anything to prove it.
Wow, just wow! What an exciting and heartwarming way to end this series. We followed Caleb through the other books watching him get lost when his friend died and not knowing what will become of him. With a Dad like he has how could I ever think he wouldn’t be any other than a wonderful man. This story pulled at my heart, it was beautiful to see Caleb and Ruby take this journey together. Ms. Briscoe certainly knows how to tell an amazing story, thanks for sharing it with us.
