And what he wants is me—my body, my obedience, my surrender. He wants to break me.But I’m … surrender.

Except I promised him one more thing—a baby. A Percy heir.
There’s no way out of this one. Either I comply or lose everything. Do I risk the husband I’m just learning to love or is this my breaking season?

With every book in this series, I fall in more in love. This is one story I could not put down and was hooked from the beginning. Katherine and Camden are so hot together. They’re not in a “real” marriage but that quickly turns into so much more. I loved seeing the character growth and being able to get inside their head. This is swoony, a little angsty, but so sexy!
Camden Percy and Katherine Van Pelt characters who have intrigued me for their relationship since the Cruel trilogy. And I need to know the why and the how of them.
Camden and Katherine have an arranged marriage and a very antagonistic relationship. If you have read any of the other offerings from K.A. Linde from time to time we have seen glimpse of Camden and Katherine’s relationship. It was never clear why these two continued to stay together or that they even had affection for each other. In their story we do learn that both have traumas from their past and make them act as they do to protect themselves.
Camden is a character with a lot of questions about him. He act like a grown Frat Boy in most of our exposure to him. Breaking Season gives us the chance to see in to he really is. We quickly learn the actions and behaviors can be deceiving. We see Camden’s protective side, vulnerability and how passionate he really is.
Katherine is a character you hate from the first meeting. She doesn’t really endear herself to the reader with her behaviors and the way she treats people. Why I think she is a hard person to love over the course of the other books when you see glimpses of her nice side you do become attached to her. Her story now actually helps validate that attachment and realize the depth of a character she is. Katherine’s life has not been as easy as we would assume especially being a child of the Upper East Side of NYC elite. Katherine has traumas from the past, is fragile and only wanted to be loved. These two characters just worked together. They truly need each other
I love the worlds K.A. Linde creates from the Wright Brothers of Texas to the Crew of the Upper East Side of NYC. Linde is always yes from me. I like her angst in her stories. None of her characters are absolute or perfect. They all have dents in their armor. I did want more “couple” time with Camden and Katherine. I think we missed out on some of their passion. But over all I highly recommend the Breaking Season. This was a 5/5 read for me.
I have been looking forward to Katherine and Camden as they piqued my curiosity with all the moments they were in the previous books in the series but they were so much more than I ever imagined they would be.
The chemistry they shared was scorching but it was more than the physical chemistry they had a connection that went far beyond that. They both had emotional baggage they were carrying and there were moments that my chest ached for them both as individuals and as a couple. The growth in these 2 showed in this book was phenomenal, heartbreak and healing were woven in the pages of their story that made them my new favorite there was just something extra special about Katherine and Camden that stole a piece of my heart.
Katherine broke my heart so many times not with actions but her inner turmoil was something that hit me in an extremely deep way her character will have a special place with me, always.
As always with K.A. Linde the group of friends that are more like family offered fun, witty banter and unwavering loyalty which is always one of my favorite parts of these books.
I feel like I always say the same thing about every new K.A. Linde book, that THIS leading man is my favorite of Kyla’s. However, in The Breaking Season, Camden truly takes a place in my top 5 of all of the men Kyla’s ever dreamed up. I have wondered since first seeing him back in The Wright series, how this guy would be able to redeem himself, and when I found out he was going to star in his own book I was so intrigued as to how Kyla would pull this one off. The redemption of these two seemingly unforgivable characters has been realized!
From their passion for each other to their hatred for one another, the chemistry between these two is never boring. The Breaking Season finally gives us everything we needed to see for these two, and so much more! Twists and turns make this a genuine edge of your seat adventure on the Upper East Side!
This is my first read by K A Linde. I am in coming in without the history of the characters. Even without meeting them in the previous series I am in love with them all. The circle of friends is like a family and they love each other deeply. Now to Katherine and Camden! It would appear that in previous stories they may not be likable. In this beginning of this story you will probably feel the same way until you get to know them. On the surface they both need growth. Katherine is a self centered socialite that only cares about selfies and likes on her pages. She only does things that help her social media pages. She wants to stay in control and keep her walls up. Camden is a ruthless businessman who is always trying to impress his father. He wants to break her control and make her beg. They are both do much more. They have a small circle and once they let you in, you will have loyalty and love. They will do anything to help and protect those they love. This story is angsty, sexy, frustrating and challenging. It will pull out all the emotions. An arranged love that turns into so much more.
Everyone Needs This Book!!!!
Camden and Katherine? What can I say except that I went into this book with an open mind, but honestly, I didn’t like either one of these characters. Especially their treatment of others.
Well, K.A. Linde out done herself this time. These characters grew so much personally and I can’t believe that I ended up loving them.
Please read this book, It Is Amazing!!!!!!! That’s all I can say.
I‘ve been waiting for Katherine and Camden‘s story for forever.
Katherine is this fiery, strong women who doesn‘t give a s*** about what anyone thinks of her. She‘s the friend everyone wants and needs to have. But she also has a not so pleasant past.
Camden has always wanted Katherine and to get her he arranged a contract to give Katherine what she wants, enough money go spend in exchange for marriage. They are both stubborn to no end. He get‘s what he wants but he also has a past that not many know about.
I loved those two and my heart broke for them everytime they fought or struggled with something.
They both made many mistakes but in the end got out stronger than before.
Thanks to the two previous books we got glimpses of their relationship and their struggles but I‘m so happy to have finally read their story.

I’ll be honest, I did not know what to expect going in to The Breaking Season. Were Katherine and Camden redeemable people or was I going to hate them? But holy-moley did K.A. Linde deliver a complicated, angsty, gut-wrenching and heartbreaking read that left you demolished but totally satisfied.
Katherine thought she had it all – money, good family, a good name. Or so she thought. But after all, she wound up with an arranged marriage to Camden Percy that she had to endure. Camden, for his part, has loved Katherine forever. But he’s loved her from afar, watching her, waiting for this agreement. But he wants more than just an arranged marriage. He wants a chance at real love with her, even though he has been through the wringer himself. He’s been hardened by years of hate from his father and abandonment by his mother, so Camden has become a closed-off hardened shell of a man when it comes to love and emotion.
could he be more than what he appears or is he also a hardened layered person? It turns out Camden has layers as well. He is one tough cookie and looks out for his friends. Though who is looking out for Camden? I loved to see him gain his strength not only in himself but with his relationship with Katherine. I honestly thought Court and English would be my favorite couple, but they are neck and neck with The Percy’s!
Neither Katherine nor Camden make it easy to get to know them, easy to love them, easy to know the true them. Years of protective instincts and self-harm have left them damaged.
K. A. Linde crafted such a painful but real love story, with hardened, broken but redeemable and loveable main characters. Wow, what a roller coaster. Well worth the ride.

The Breaking Season is the book we have been waiting not so patiently for! Katherine Van Pelts story is here!!! We get an intimate look into who she really is and it honestly may surprise you, just as it did me!!
Since Katherine married Camden as an arrangement, there are parts of both their lives you never knew and continued surprises abound!
I initially didn’t know what to make of them both to be quite honest, but they have no doubt made me look at them differently now!
Camden and Katherine have parts of their lives hidden from many but you can see that they do work. The fact that Camden redeemed himself shocked me! Katherine as well! Can these two get along enough to become more?? Or has the Upper East Side dented their relationship ideals??!!! Really enjoyed both their views!! Honestly floored that I like them both now!
Camden and Katherine have an arrangement. A contract. What happens when hope floats in? When they start thinking *separately* ‘what if’? Just when they think maybe, someone’s imagination runs away and gets the best of them. As detrimental as their games are to their relationship, you can feel how much each of them desperately wants what seems to be blooming all around them. Through the chaos and the madness that they create there’s a longing. There are moments when I wanted to knock their heads together, when I was laughing at the banter between friends, begging them to come clean and smiling at the parts in between.
This is quickly becoming a favorite series. This crew is complex to say the least. Rough patches pop up in several of the relationships but through it all, eventually, they have a bond that is stronger than all the drama.
This is the one I’ve been waiting on and it was my favourite of the series. Ignore every arranged marriage book you’ve read before because the author throws all the rules out the window. The story is full of angst and emotion, sometimes the pain was too much to bare and the chemistry oh the chemistry burns hot and heavy. I had so many misconceptions of Camden and Katherine that this book blows away. Stubborn and complex doesn’t begin to scrap the surface of these two. I wanted to hug them just as much as I wanted to bash their heads together. The writing is flawless and the storyline is engaging.
I would recommend reading all the books in this series.
In the Wrights and Cruel series, we saw glimpses of Katherine and Camden through other people’s eyes, and it wasn’t a good look. In the Seasons series, we see them through their friends’ eyes. Through this breadcrumb trail, a different picture of them starts to emerge. However, they still come off as entitled, arrogant, and uncaring. Now, The Breaking Season brings us, Katherine and Camden, in their own words and as they truly are.
After the layers of their public masks have been pulled away, this arranged marriage is uglier than we even suspected. There is an undeniable connection between them and a shared understanding. However, they have to move past their baggage to be able to trust each other. While it is a meandering path to their happily ever after, Katherine and Camden complete each other perfectly.
By the end of this book, Camden was my ultimate book boyfriend. Brady Maxwell from KA Linde’s Record series has always been my gold standard. But, I’ve gone off the deep end of book boyfriend love, and I’m claiming Camden. Why Camden? He’s a complicated alpha male, a fierce protector, loyal to a fault, and a safe place for Katherine to land.
My favorite part of this entire series has been this amazing group of friends. This once small, tight-knit circle has grown. In The Breaking Season, they support each other through thick and thin. Whitley deserves a shout out for the best advice from a friend!
This story of love and redemption is one of my 2020 best books.
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Katherine and Camden’s story. I must admit these two certainly redeem themselves in this tale, and once all the layers they conceal behind are pulled back, their story is not an easy one. Camden is a possessive and protective alpha who has secretly loved Katherine, and she has so much more to her background than meets the eye, as she has faked and hidden her true feeling to the extend that she does not know who she is or what she wants. Now it is time for both characters to fulfil their agreement to each other. No spoilers: this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a well written tale which is filled with angst, drama, heartbreak, emotions, hurt, betrayal, and love which is also humorous. I was captivated throughout this addictive page turner, and I cannot wait to read more from this author whose work I recommend for all.

Wow! I’m not sure how K.A. Linde did it. I went from despising Katherine in the Cruel Series to seeing little glimpses of a better girl in the Seasons Series. She has taken a character that I once rooted against to championing for her win.
We are once again back in the clutches of the Upper East Side group. We watch as Katherine contractually marries Camden Percy. Their verbal spars and seemingly unaffected facade towards each other often seems cruel. But while on their honeymoon, things started to look and feel like a real relationship. But once they were back in society and among friends and family, it flew out the door.
While Camden’s seemingly bored, unimpressed attitude is just that; an act. He is alpha all the way, willing to do anything for a close friend or family member. And Katherine’s cool exterior is a front because of her past with feeling abandoned and alone. We learn why they behave the way they do.
But Camden has a new deal he’d like to institute with Katherine while on vacation: a truce. No bringing up each other’s past and no arguing. And while things start to take a turn for the better, their built up emotions have them ready to implode.
I simply loved these two characters and how they evolved. You could see the mutual admiration and love simmering below the surface. They just needed to let go.
You will definitely want to one click this one. You will be surprised by how much you love Katherine in the end.
The breaking Season was an amazing read, it is one of the best books I’ve experienced all year. I’m just disappointed I didn’t discover this series earlier. I will definitely be going back to books 1 & 2.
This is Camden and Katherine’s story. Not all of it is hearts and flowers, actually most isn’t, but it is an emotional roller coaster ride till they find their happy ending. Take two people who despise each other, a marriage of convenience, past flames, rotten families, it all combines to produce a story that I couldn’t put down.
Now I’ve discovered this series, I need to go back to the start and be ready for book 4.
It feels like I have been waiting forever for Camden Percy and Katherine Van Pelt’s story and I was so excited when I finally saw it had arrived on my kindle and let me just say this book was well worth the wait, it was everything I expected and so much more.
Camden and Katherine have a marriage of convenience, he gets her beauty, lineage and a heir to continue the Percy name and she gets his money and power. This book starts right often a blissful honeymoon where you think maybe this couple will be able to work there differences out, maybe they do have enough feelings for each other to make a go of it…..well now they are a home their life takes a whole different turn to the bliss of the honeymoon, now we see two people hiding behind masks, not wanting to share the secrets and the pain that consumes them…..
This is a book with all the feels, it’s emotional, it’s about learning to trust and it’s about knowing love will conquer all if you are prepared to fight for it. I loved everything about this book but I wanted more from the couple I fell hard for, so I guess all that’s left for me to say is I highly recommend this book and the Seasons Series. Looking forward to more from this very talented author.
Stunning! This book is just brilliant!! KA Linde has kept me glued to my Kindle as I read the much anticipated story of Katherine and Camden and has further underlined what a gifted writer and story teller she is. The book was all I hoped for, and so much more. Filled with character development and growth, with revelations from both Katherine and Camden’s points of view, drawing you into the most private thoughts and reactions of these two intriguing people, and enough plot to shake a very large stick at! I genuinely did not want it to finish! There were plot twists which I definitely didn’t see coming, heart ache and pain, both self inflicted and from outside, and the gradual development of a wonderful love. Filled with new friends and old, The Breaking Season is definitely in my top 10 reads of 2020
I have been curious about Camden and Katherine’s stories for a long time. I have always thought of them as villains and did not see how that would change. I am glad to say that I no longer think of them as villains and LOVED their story! Camden has this tough outer shell but we see that its mostly from things in his past that he has not dealt with. Camden is an alpha and at times he was frustrating, not open with the truth or his feelings. Then you have Katherine and it is no secret she has issues from her past but the story gives a better look at all that really happened. Katherine is carrying so much hurt and betrayal. She is so used to faking it all to the outside world. I loved Camden and Katherine’s heart I loved seeing under their tough shells they just want to love and be loved. I loved how through all this they both figured out who they really were underneath it all. The story was not all rainbows and butterflies they fought and I was frustrated with them and wanted them to get over themselves but it worked out well. This story was fantastic! It had the perfect amount of angst, drama, and emotions. I loved how we full got to know Camden and Katherine. This outlined again how family is not always a blood connection, as well why self-love is important. I loved seeing the rest of the crew. This is another must read by Linde!
So I finished this story and I have so many thoughts it feels like a hurricane in my brain right now. I was so excited to finally start reading this book. I mean we all know that most of the time we hurt the ones we love the most and this book just proves that.
Camden and Katherine have a very complicated relationship. They’re both stubborn and not backing down from a fight. I’ve got to say it was hard read some of the scenes were they fought. But at the end of the day when they realized how much they loved each other and we’re willing to let the past stay where it belongs, the love they shared put all the broken pieces together again.
This was by far my favorite in the series and now I can’t wait to see the next couple falling madly in love.

Finally, Camden and Katherine. I have been waiting for their story from the first book of this series. Let me just say it was worth the wait. I always knew Camden loved Katherine but he really didn’t know what love was in order to recognize it. His father would not be the winner of Father of The Year awards and his mother left when he was little. His father did everything he could to bring Camden down. Even in business Camden never measured up in his father’s eyes. Katherine too lost the ability for love from when they took her dad away in handcuffs and destroyed her family. Her brother took off and her mother just existed. She suffered with anorexia as a result because she felt she had to be the perfect one of the family. Marrying Camden was an arranged, contracted marriage. She never thought it would turn into love. Even though they didn’t admit to the feelings they felt for each other K A Linde made her readers know. Camden couldn’t get over his jealousy toward Penn and Katherine couldn’t get over her jealousy of Fiona. Their relationships with these two people were so parallel to each other. Penn was her person and Fiona had been friends with Camden for years. This story was written in such a way you felt like you were there with them every step of the way. I was glued to every page wondering when they were going to realize they loved each other and their marriage was real. Once that happened what a joy to see their love grow and the commitment they now made to each other. Their marriage was no longer just a contract but a love union.
