Holy Hell!!! Talk about an amazing book, Cruel Intentions by Siobhan Davis was incredible. This story was so great that I couldn’t put it down and as soon as I was finished, I reread it! There is over the top angst that fills the pages of this book and some sweet tender moments that will leave you swooning. A story that is so well written and holds the attention of the reader is hard to find but Siobhan Davis pulls it off with no trouble. 5 plus stars for a dark high school bully romance called Cruel Intentions, and I am waiting with abated breath for the second book in the series Twisted Betrayal due out in August.
Abigail Manning is part of The Elite at her school. Abigail’s family is among the top that helped found their town and they continue to run everything. Abby is just a tool to be used by her father to further his business and what she wants does not matter. When the new elite (the families from new money} come to the school Abby has her hands full. Camden Marshall is out to ruin The Elite families; he has a goal to bring them all down but runs into a small problem. Cam didn’t know that Abby Manning is the anonymous girl from his recent past that he just can’t get out of his head. Cam won’t be discouraged with his plan but can’t help being drawn to the gorgeous, strong willed girl with the sassy mouth. No matter how many Cruel Intentions Cam throws at Abby she holds her head high and won’t let Cam see how he really affects her.

In one word for this new series by Siobhan Davis is Wow. After reading her other books this one just blew me away with its men, the elite group and most of all Abigail and Cam. These two bring our the passion and the hate all in one then exploding to something they didnt expect to happen. There is betrayal, lies, hate and tons of secrets between these families it hard to imagine how Abby is surviving. One thing I loved the most and Siobhan Davis kicked ass was Abby not being a snobby, elite girl but with attitude and a sassisness that even Cam cannot ignore. Be advised though this is a dark romance and there are scenes that are not easy to read through in a way tells the story. Loved it and cannot wait to see what Cam does next.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
I loved and hated how the story played in the characters and events. Mystery, old loves, twisted lives. Looking forward to reading the next book.
First of all: What the heck did I read there! It was so, so intense and gripping and woah…needed a breather there, after finishing this book.
And what’s with this cruel, major cliffhanger? Damn, I’m so pumped.
But it is good, sooooo good!
Just after reading the first chapter I was like: can I have this, too?
But than the fun began. I was pushed from liking Abby, to hating her. I constantly battled with my feelings towards Cam….. I’m just so confused right now, but in a very good way.
I don’t know what I should think of Jackson and Sawyer and don’t get me startet about all the „adults“. Why must they’re always be such dumb humans?
Always just out for the money and revenge and what not.
I think Abby and Cam do really love each other, but I also think, it’ll get heavy in the next two books. I’m SOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!
WHO took her, can she keep her precious cargo, will Cam survive, what is Abbys next move and what twisted, cruel things are coming her way?
Yeah, Siobhan Davis did it again. She, again, got me hooked in her new series and I CAN‘T WAIT for Twisted Betrayal!!!
This author never disappoints! This book is a must read and had me hooked from chapter one. Twits and turns to give you whiplash, all while making you fall in love with the characters. Great story, lovely pace and characters that you care about. But be warned the cliffhanger is huge and will leave you crying for book two, I can’t wait!!

How does this tale of deception, deviance, and destruction weigh in my scales? Stealing 5/5 stars from the girl who mostly loves sunshine, rainbows, and HEAs was a mountain of a task, but a victory won by a worthy contender First and foremost, this book accomplished a rather large feat for me. I usually dislike 1st person writing that is only seen through the eyes of one character (don’t even get me started on 3rd omniscient ). A lot of times, this gives an extremely skewed version of what’s happening, but with this one, as well as my sweet Ella Sheridan’s Assassins series (Books 1 & 2), felt full and balanced. I love that the heroine owns her own shortcomings and tries to see things from multiple angles. It’s hard sometimes for a character (or human being, for that matter) to see what’s wrong with themselves and own it. Any strategist worth their salt knows that to decimate your enemies, you have to put yourself in their shoes, flimsy and tattered though they may be. Thorough the entire book, my emotions felt like they were dumped in a bucket of cold, sudsy water and raked against a metal washboard I didn’t know whether to cry, scream, or plot my own cruel revenge on some of these characters. [SIDENOTE: I may have done all 3 ] I’m a hard person to please when it comes to dark/bully romances because I don’t have the a**hole nature to feel like I’m reading about my kindred spirits But, books like Cruel Intentions are a necessary read from time to time because the world is a lot more like Rydeville than my dream world. Sometimes, you need books that hurt your feelings and stomp all over your wishes. Books like this break you down so you can survive. After being destroyed in the battle, you learn to wipe your tears, rub some dirt on the boo-boos, stiffen your spine, and strap your sword and shield on tight to prepare for the war.

There is something I need to disclose as well. You all know how I feel about cheating. I am channeling my inner Grinch here, but I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, double hate, LOOOOOOATHE entirely any type of cheating. You all know that when I recommend a book, especially with a high star rating, I will not recommend a book where a character cheats. I would never hoodwink you guys and I’m not starting now. Without spoiling too much, Abby is in an arranged marriage situation where her fiancé (f*** you, Trent!) not only is unfaithful to her, but is very abusive in a variety of ways. She was put into this situation by a dad who in essence pimped out his daughter for a business arrangement and makes Mr. Wormwood from Matilda look like Ward Cleaver during his Father of the Year speech. Yeah. My seesaw of most hated character in this book constantly went between Abby’s dad and Trent. I cannot in good conscience say that she cheated on her fiancé (as the BLURB suggests) when she 1) is forced into this arrangement and 2) doesn’t want to even be in this arrangement. In my eyes, it is absolutely no different than girls across the world who are treated as property and sold to the highest bidder. It is human trafficking and prostitution in its most detestable form and I won’t hold that part against her or label her a cheater. And you know if I won’t even label it cheating, most people would not either. So, rest assured, this girl has not become a hypocrite and sold her book soul to the god of unfaithfulness. I’m advocating for an innocent character, pure and simple.
If a dark romance between a gilded girl caged by her status and social pressures and the Jekyll/Hyde who wants to destroy and defend his little lost bird yanks your crank, get ready to have your motor revved in so many dark and delicious ways, honey This book left me speechless and devastated that we have to wait for the next 2 books to see how Abby deals with the fallout. Cruel Intentions is waiting to alter your notions of what constitutes as good romance. You will cry, you will curse, and you will be ready for battle as we await the release of Book 2 & Book 3 Viva la dark romance, my little ravishing roses
Oh my god!! what a amazing book. I loooooved it!! These Bully Romance books are one of my faves.. I was on the edge with this book. This is my first book by this author.. It will defiantly not be my last. I soooo need more from the New Elite..
First off… I completely despise Trent and Abby’s dad, and Trent’s dad.. they can all take a flying leap off a tall building…. (sorry had to get that out)
Abby and Cam meet one night.. Abby is lost and tired.. she just wants to feel… just once.. just for one night..
This book has it all.. the drama, angst, mystery, and all the twist and turn that will leave you with a case of whiplash.. but it also has the love and feels.. and ONE HELL OF A CLIFFHANGER!!! I so can not wait for the continuation of this book.. I hope we get a Sawyer and Jackson book too… pretty please..
Thank you for the amazing read!!
I absolutely love this author. I swear I love each and every story she writes, and then she comes up with another book and I somehow love that one even more. She just keeps getting better and better!! As like most people now I am super into High School Bully Romance. Cruel Intentions is one of the best ones I have read. Siobhan really did an exceptionally good job. She took a subject that is hard to write for many reasons, and just nailed it. You will really see just how good of a writer she really is. You really feel the characters personalities, all the way from their strength, pain, struggle, and hope. You will be on the edge of your seat all through the book. There are twists and turns that, Yes, will have you going WTF!!! There is a cliff hanger that will lead off to book two perfectly.
The characters are so different and you go through so many emotions with them. Abby was such a good character that I could get behind, she is full of spunk, sass, and funny with a touch of sweetness. Cam is a tough character. He is strong, and let me tell you, you will go from loving him to hating him. Each chapter could be different. I hope that in book two we get to know him more.
The Romance between the two is freaking hot!! Sparks fly along with the chemistry.
Overall this book is a must read for the Bully Romance fan, but let me tell you, It is so much more than that!! So sit down, carve a good long while to read. Because once you start, you are not going to want to stop!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from being a loyal Siobhan Davis reader it is to always be prepared for anything. Be prepared for heartache, laughter, anger, angst, fantastic sexy times, and conflicted feelings. I absolutely love bully romances, they are honestly one of my favorite romance tropes. (I may actually write a post on why I love them, because this is a hot topic these days). So of course I was all about this and I just loved it!
The whole elite group of kids was so fun to read about, getting inside their lives and minds was truly fascinating. Abby’s life is extremely heartbreaking even though from the outside her life seems amazing. I really don’t want to say much about the characters or plot, because I really feel the summary is pretty informative. And giving anything away at all would be a great disservice, because this story has amazing such an amazing plot plus the twist is absolutely phenomenal. Abby is not at all your typical heroine, she’s feisty, clever, and so crafty. Keeping the company she does she must know how to hold her own. You definitely don’t want to mess with her and if you do be prepared to have your ass handed to you.
And then there’s Cam. I can’t even begin to describe how much I loved him. You know right from the start that he is out for revenge, but the question is why? His reasons are always calculated and it’s as if he is programmed to hate Abby. And yet, he finds himself drawn to her. The chemistry between these two was so hot and amazing. You really can’t help but want these two together despite the hatred. And on top of it all, the side characters really give added depth and humor to the entire story. If you love bully romances you definitely need to grab this one! *ARC provided for an honest review*

OMG you will not be able to put this book down the bullying in this book is off the charts but she is a great girl she has a backbone that is unbreakable It was awesome I hated to putting it down. I cant wait for the next book.
I’ve had a thing for bully romances lately and Siobhan Davis delivered with Cruel Intentions! Full of angst and steamy moments! I’ve read Siobhan Davis before and loved them but this one might just be my favorite by her!
First and foremost, without revealing anything about the book because I hate spoilers! There are some characters in this book that are most definitely HATE WORTHY! I’m not sure I’ve ever felt so much anger towards fictional characters before but it most definitely pushes me to want to read the next book. I need to know what happens to not just those horrible ones but also I need to know what happens with Abbey & Cam!
I love them as a couple, I need more time with them together! However, with the way the book ended I also need Cam to step up and be someone worthy of Abbey! She’s been through so much by the people who should love her that I need her to have ONE person who is HER ride or die!! One person who is all about Abbey, her needs, her wants.
So much suspense packed into the last couple of chapters! I need book 2 now!
Omg i love this book so much, full of secrets, twists, angst and so steamy.
Ive read books by Siobhan before but this is my favourite, i couldn’t stop reading it.
I was hooked from the start, it kept me captivated all the way through and now im having a meltdown because book 2 aint out till september but i need it now my soul is crying out for more.
Abby and Cam are the main character’s and WOW i couldn’t get enough of them, both complex and strong minded, i love the way they rile each other up. The secondary character’s make this story even greater, Jackson made me giggle and i cant wait to read more about him and the rest of the character’s.
This series has just started and is gonna take us on one hell of a journey and not just with Abby and Cam, there is so much depth and mystery behind the secondary character’s that it has the potential to be a deliciously long and epic ride and oh boy i can’t wait for it.
Siobhan I am hooked and begging for more.
Cruel Intentions is the first book I have read of Siobhan’s and maaaaaaan, I am hooked! I love a good bully romance and Cruel Intentions is definitely that and more.
I was quickly drawn to Abby and Cam’s story from the very first chapter. Abby’s life is anything but normal. She is destined to marry a boy she is not in love with. Cam is the new kid in town and part of a rival elite group hell bent to disrupt the current elite groups status at Rydeville High. And even though Cam and Abby should be enemies, their pull for one another cannot be denied.
Cruel Intentions is a story that consists of lies, betrayal, enemies, and devastation. Yet through it all, a bond begins to form and hearts begin to converge. Will a new found love be Abby’s way out of this devastating reality or will she fall deeper into the hell hole that is her life at Rydeville High?
5 devastatingly amazing stars!
OMFG!!!!!
I devoured this book, I saw it all playing in my head like a movie. Seriously, someone make a movie out of this, a series… something!
This is my first Book from Siobhan Davis, I’m hooked and invested in this new serie.
The lies, twists and turns will have you turning pages so fast, you won’t know who is who. Everyone has a hidden agenda, and finding out why is so much fun.
Old money meets New money. Abby, Charles, Trent and Drew rule the school, but Cam, Jackson and Sawyer are the new Elite and they are here to stay and rule.
High School drama at is finest, but because they are all rich entitle kids, you know this is going beyond that, power, respect, murder you have it all. Secret meetings, old traditions and cruel punishments are just some things that are gonna keep you on the edge of your seat.
And that ending had me gasping!!
I truly didn’t see that coming.
August can’t come soon enough. A perfect mixture of drama, deceit, murder and so much more, you will gasp, laugh and even sweat a little, buckle up for the ride!!
5 Wild Ride Stars!!!
*I read an advance copy and this is my honest opinion
I wasn’t expecting to like any of the male characters
in this book, but halfway through some redeemed
themselves. Fathers and sons blinded by power, money,
and trying to be at the top of the echelon… some forget
along the way how to feel and be human. Until Abigail
shows them that she can be strong without the power &
money on her side, and no-one to trust. She takes
everything they throw her way like a big girl with only
her courage and the need to escape as her armor.
I was really surprised on that last chapter. That ending left
me really looking forward to the next book in the series.
This book is filled with a lot of twists and turns. Had me on the edge of my seat most of the time.
I love Abby! She’s so fierce! I love her smart mouth and the fact she doesn’t take anything from anyone.
If you like bully romance you’ll definitely love this! It’s dark, it’s twisted, it’s everything good.
Cruel Intentions is the first book that I have read by Siobhan and let me tell you it was oml!
U was on the edge of my seat, page turning wanting to know more.
You have the twists and turns, the emotions of everyone involved. You will not want to put it down, I promise you that.
This one story that you will have to have an open mind, and even if you think you know what’s really going, things take a turn and the unthinkable happen.
I can’t wait for the 2nd book!
This book is truly something else! It’s taken me almost a week to write this review as I had to have some recovery time to peel my jaw off the floor with that cliffhanger ending! Siobhan has once again proven herself as the queen of angst and multi-layered intricate plots executed to perfection.
There was so much going on in this story! Past heartbreaks and lessons and lies and loves, all ready to become unearthed as the New Elite show up in town to challenge the generations-old control of the Old Elite. Abby is our heroine caught in the middle of the two groups. She’s put through some some seriously gut-wrenching emotional and physical pain but remains so unbelievably strong . She has a secret plan of her own and knows her life depends upon its success. Abby’s chemistry with Cam, leader of the New Elite, is undeniable – it sizzles away before turning into a full blown wildfire.
This storyline was dirty and delicious at times, yet highly confronting and disturbing in parts. (*Trigger warning* as it features mature content and themes that some readers may find too distressing.) If you dig bully and enemies-to-lovers romances, plots full of mystery that forever keep you guessing, loads of angst, betrayal that comes out of nowhere, authentic friendships that warm your heart, and sweet tender moments in a sea of turmoil then this is the story for you!
Be warned – this book will put you through the emotional wringer and stay with you long after you turn the last page. It was extremely addictive! I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book and rate it 4.5/5 stars! Well done Siobhan, cannot wait to see where you take this story next! the countdown to Twisted Betrayal is ON!
Okay just..whoa let me catch my breath here for a second because it has quite literally been stolen away from me with this book.
I have been obsessed with books in this genre lately and was freaking ECSTATIC when I was able to get my hands on an advanced copy. And then of course the author being Siobhan Davis, I knew I was going to be in for a wild ride.
As usual, the entire time I was reading I was shaking inside with lust AND frustration. Then shock and heart break and then a massive, DEAR-GOD-WHAT-JUST-HAPPENED!?!
No. Lie.
This book for me, and I know the rest of the series will be too, is seriously just a whole new avenue with academy and bullymance stories. It just FEELS different! Abby gives as much as she takes! I still remember thinking “Holy crap, did she just…yep..she did..” at a particular scene early on in the story.
Abby isn’t the typical girl who gets pushed around and thinks, “Woe is me” to herself while she cries in her room. Naw. This girl is more the “I’m gonna eff their world up” mentality. Which I freaking LOVED!
I’ve been reading a LOT of RH lately so of course when I’m introduced to the “new” elites, my mind immediately went to “oooh..why choose?” but I don’t think that this is an RH story, so I’ll just allow myself to fantasize about that instead. Of course if this turns into an RH, woohoo!
The “new” elites are delicious, vicious and loyal and I seriously can’t WAIT to get find out what happens next!
This book is SERIOUSLY something that will have you white knuckling your kindle/book, leaving you gasping for air and crying out in frustration and desperation for more!
