I’m definitely on edge waiting for the next book! I’ve never wanted the story to continue as much as I do right now!! I’ve never been good with delayed gratification. Lol.
Cam is on a whole new level than the rest of his elite group but even so he’s still no match for Abby.
High school split between two elite groups. Battles of family history. Who will come out on top?
This authors books just keep sucking you in and each one better than the last!
Cruel intentions. Bully to Romance. Read it!!
I have voluntarily reviewed an advanced complementary copy of this book.
From chapter 1 of the book, I had this feeling that this book was going to go down as one of my favorite books of all time…and guess what? It is! I went through Abigail’s journey with her and I fell for this beautiful, broken, yet shockingly strong girl. And what a journey it was! I loved every moment of it. I read it in one go with barely 5 mins spent not reading it lol. Considering I’ve had a hard time getting into books recently, this already says something. This book gave me the feels, I can’t even begin to describe just how much I loved it. The characters, the setting, the writing all put together created such a powerful story that you can’t help but get sucked into. I am now eagerly waiting for the next book.
Another amazing book by Siobhan Davis,
Loved everything about this book and was hooked from the first page to last i couldnt put it down.

Need August to hurry up and come now so I can read book 2.

In the power struggle between two elite groups, one feisty girl will bring them to their knees…
Cruel Intentions bySiobhan Davis is a new young adult bully romance, with a dark-ish theme. I absolutely LOVE bully romances, especially young adult or new adult, so when I found out the legendary Siobhan was releasing one, I jumped on the chance to review! If Cruel Intentions is any indication of how the rest of the Rydeville High Elite series is going to be then OMFG, we are in for a treat ladies and gentlemen.
If you follow me then you already know it’s no secret that I ADORE Siobhan Davis, seriously LOVE her! She is my TOP one-click/pre-order author and I have NEVER been disappointed. I’ve read literally EVERYTHING that she has released and Cruel Intentions has a little of EVERYTHING that she’s known for, the angst, the romance, the edge of your seat unexpected suspense and drama, Cruel Intentions has IT ALL!
I honestly can’t say much without giving anything away but for those of you who have triggers, there will be a few scenes that may be uncomfortable and push a couple of boundaries… my opinion, just keep going! This one is SOO worth it, you guys!
The Elite has ruled for generations and the heirs are no different. They reign over the halls of Rydeville High just like their fathers before them. They command everyone from the students, to the teachers. No one questions their rule, they just file in line because that’s how it’s always been done. Until one day they don’t…
The Elite is made up of four key players, Abigail Manning, Andrew Manning A.K.A Drew who is also Abby’s twin brother, Trent Montgomery, and Charles Barron the Third A.K.A Charlie.
Although Abigail Manning, A.K.A Abby, is also a member of the Elite because she is a woman Abby is merely a pawn used by her father to help build relationships with future business partners. Which is why Abby is engaged to be married to Trent once they graduate high school even though she DESPISES him.
Abby has spent her whole life being trapped in a gilded cage. Being told what to wear, how to act, who to hang out with, right down to who she can marry. Abby plays the part that’s expected of her, knowing that her life (literally) depends on it, all the while secretly plotting her escape.
But when the boys of the New Elite, Camden Marshall A.K.A Cam, Sawyer Hunt, and Jackson Lauder shows up at Rydeville High challenging the Old Elite, lines are formed and sides are chosen, and now Abby must decide which side of that line she’s on.
Why is the New Elite really at Rydeville High?
Which side will Ally choose?
Is Abby safe on EITHER side?
You’ll have to read Cruel Intentions to find out!
NOW, THIS IS WHAT I CALL A BULLY ROMANCE!!!
I have been seeing sooo many books lately that are labeled bully romances, and well… they just aren’t. Cruel Intentions IS a young adult bully romance, with a darker twist.
Siobhan is a BRILLIANT author! She has a way of sucking you into scenes making them so “real” and her character development is always spot on! I love how she can make you love and root for a character one minute and then make you hate him the very next, just to turn around and make you love him all over again. THAT is a fabulous fucking author!
Abby is such a likable character, I mean you want to HATE her because she seems like the typical spoiled rich princess, but she’s just so much MORE then what she shows to the world. But she does what she needs to do to survive, no matter the cost. Underneath that blonde hair and the perfectly pressed skirt is a fighter. You can’t help but feel for her, the inhumanity that her own father… GAHHH! That’s all I’m going to say!!!
Cam, OMG! Like I said, one minute you love him, the next you hate him, just to start it all over again. Cameron is everything you could possibly want in a bad boy anti-hero! But even though he does some pretty shitty things when he cares he cares hard, and he cares for Abby. Secrets or not…
The chemistry and heat, shew boy these two had it in SPADES! The push and pull between them was so f-ing HOT so you already know when they come together, whether they are battling it out over power and control or just being together, sparks are flying!
I was going to share about the other guys in the story but I just can’t without giving anything away, so I’ll just say, this is just one of those ones you HAVE to read for yourself!
That ending… I can’t even. MAJOR CLIFFHANGER! I literally was flipping back and forth like no, no…nooooo she wouldn’t leave it like that. But then I realized that this was Siobhan Davis I was talking about and YES, YES she would and YES, YES she did!
But even when things seemed like they were OK, there was still a bit of unease while reading. It was like everyone was hiding something, but just when you would THINK you had it all figured out, Siobhan would send our heads spinning all over again!
The ONLY thing that could have made this book better was if it was dual POV, it’s all mainly from Abby’s POV and some that seem like it’s from third person POV. I would have LOVED to have known what was going through Cam’s mind during certain scenes.
The sexual tension, the secrets, and suspense, and OMG the angstttt! AHHH I seriously devoured this one, you guys! All in all, Cruel Intentions is a 5-star read for me. Now, August needs to hurry up and get here because I need Twisted Betrayal now!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Siobhan has hit it out of the park again!
The old elite versus the new elite, almost like an old money / new money type of thing. Cam and Abby are perfect for one another but her brother, Drew, and the rest of the old elite, including Abby’s arranged fiance aren’t as welcoming to Cam and his two best friends when they transfer into Rydeville High. Families, or should I say, fathers with money get away with anything and Abby’s father can do know wrong.
Rydeville High will be flipped upside down as the old elite and the new elite square off for control. And the past could come back, shining a light on all.
I voluntarily am reviewing this book as I received an advanced complimentary copy. Definitely check this one out and be prepared for Siobhan to wow you again.
In Cruel Intentions subterfuge, lies and abuse bring a feud that spans generations to epic levels of revenge and takes readers’ prisoner as they get caught in Siobhan Davis’ masterful web of intrigue and emotions!
Abby and Camden’s predestined attraction struggled for a foothold as calculated cruelty kept them apart. Camden was a hero built on hurt and pain and while he lived in the darkness of his need for retribution his character was not black and white defying the obvious title of villain his actions called for. Abby was universally expendable to all the people that should matter and was the delegated target for abuse for those looking for payback, yet she rose above those roles and proved herself a strong and irrepressible heroine. With every scene designed to shame Abby she maintained her dignity and used her sharp mind for some amazing comebacks refusing to be a doormat. The relationship between Abby and Camden was driven by a powerful attraction that caused them serious angst as their mistaken beliefs and loyalties were tested. This couple kept pushing each other away only to ultimately be stronger in their bond.
Siobhan Davis pulled out all the stops in Cruel Intentions. This work started off slowly and then exploded leaving little to no room for her audience to catch their breath as schemes and revelations kept this story moving at a fast pace. This writer was always one step ahead of her readers with her uncanny ability to throw in multiple unexpected twists. Writing of unpleasant subject matter and not always showing her characters in the best light is not easy but did not prevent Ms. Davis from doing so. Intricate plot crafting and bold portrayals, that pushed limits and disregarded propriety in favor of what her story needed, showed this author’s skill at writing. A multidimensional supporting cast that will pique readers’ interest rounded out this work. Siobhan Davis raised the bully romance bar with Cruel Intentions for one exceptional story guaranteed to keep her readers enthralled to the last page and highly anticipating the next installment in her Rydeville High Elite series!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own. *

DREAMY’S REVIEW
Lies, deceit, betrayal.
Buried secrets.
Angst galore.
Teenage drama.
Enemies and rivalry.
Bullies. Bullies. Bullies.
HOT AF GUYS.
“I want to feel something real,” I reply without uncertainty. “I want to let go of these chains that bind my body. To feel like I’m in control even if it’s only an illusion.”
Cruel Intentions is the first book in Siobhan Davis’ Rydeville High Elite Series. And when I tell you that this book is utterly unique, all-consuming, and oh so captivating… YOU NEED THIS BOOK!!!
HOLY. FREAKING. MOLY.
The minute you start this book, you will not be able to stop! It’s one of those books that you cannot get enough of, you hang on every single word, and you savor each page like it’s the last! This is my first book by this author and OMG, she exceed every single expectation I had! She rocked my freaking world, turned it upside down, and had me reeeling with everything that was going on!
Bully romances are kind of my thing 🙂 I’m in love with them, I inhale them! This is one of my TOP favorite bully romances to date!
This story had twists and turns that gave me whiplash of epic clusterfucks! The secrets, lies, deceit and betrayal run so deep, I was at the edge of my seat the WHOLE time!
“I had no idea that sleeping with this stranger would set certain things in motion. Things that couldn’t undone. And I certainly had no idea that I’d come to hate him…”
Abigail Hearst-Manning didn’t expect to meet a stranger spend one night with him and have to face him in her near future. Stuck in something she doesn’t want and yet, it’s as if it’s set in stone for her. Arranged marriage her ‘destiny’ so to speak, it’s happened from generation to generation, keeping everything in line.
The ‘old’ Elite, in which is made up of Trent , Charlie, and Abby’s twin brother, Drew. They run and regulate Rydeville High, keep things in order.
And the moment the old Elite have a super secret trip to go on, leaving Abby behind, things get super interesting…
Enter the ‘new’ Elite Camden Marshall alongside the his ‘brothers,’ Sawyer and Jackson. They come in with a bang and don’t listen to the rules, they only break them. Battle lines are drawn, sides are taken, things are shaken, and who’s in the middle of all of it?
Ms. Abigail Hearst-Manning herself.
What will Abby uncover as she does anything she can to protect herself and those closest to her? As she digs deep to figure out the truth?
What does she do when she finds in a war with not only the old and new Elite alongside her father, but the emotional uproar screaming within her?
What side will she choose?
Who will keep her safe?
IS she safe?
This story is all sorts of HOT, ANGSTY, SUSPENSEFUL, and PAGE-TURNING! The push and pull between the heroine and hero is undeniable! You’ll be wondering who’s really in charge and has the power within this power struggle!
The hero, Cam, will throw you in for a big loop! He’s the type to love him one minute, hate him the next, then love him all over again! He’s a major asshole, but that’s what I loved about him most. Behind his tough exterior, there was something raw and real about him. He had so many layers to him!
The heroine, Abby, is fiesty, sassy, and brilliant! At times, she was vulnerable in which she showed remarkable strength. And in other moments, she was a bad ass! She used everything she gained and learned to the best of her abilities, and all the more, it made me fall in love with her more!
The secondary characters ARE the best. They made this story complete! I love Sawyer and Jackson, they made me laugh and swoon! Jane and Xavier were the BEST best friends for Abby! Regardless of all the chaos that was happening, they stood their, loyally, by her side!
Siobhan Davis truly, truly out did herself with this book! She left us at a cliffhanger that will have your jaw drop! It will have you questioning so many things!
It will leave you breathless!!
Luckily for me, I’m into a little delayed gratification and depravity! In truth, it keeps me coming! Cliffhangers are my thing, so I’m down for this! August can’t come soon enough because I need to know what happens next for these characters and where the story goes!
Bravo, Ms. Davis! You have a new cheerleader in your corner! I cannot wait to devour the rest of your backlog as I eagerly anticipate the next installment in this series, Twisted Betrayal!
“My view of the world has tilted on its axis again, and I’m struggling to find my new equilibrium.”
Five TWISTED and dreamy stars:
It’s no secret that I struggle with dark romance and this bully story was no different. Heed the trigger warnings if there are issues that are a problem for you. There were some scenes here that had a HUGE ick factor and made me extremely uncomfortable. There’s a function to these writing devices for this story, but I do worry for real life implications.
Layers and layers of deception and intrigue, violence, abuse of all kinds and more layers of drama. This story has a lot going on and if this is the kind of story you enjoy, you just have to trust that everything is happening for a reason – though not necessarily a good reason. A number of things are hinted at, alluded to or otherwise semi-revealed and you may know what’s coming before the reveals but it’s very nicely plotted.
You know going in that at least Abby isn’t all she seems and that there are lots of things she’s doing for, well, reasons, but keep that stored for basically every character but Trent. A difficult read, but worth it. Can’t wait for the next because I wasn’t prepared for a cliffy ending!
Five amazing stars for Abby and Cam !!!
This is the first book I’ve read by Siobhan Davis and OMG this is one the best book that I’ve read this year!!!
I really love Siobhan’s writing style because this book was so easy to read and it’s a page-turner .
Before this one, I didn’t read a dark romance with bully trope so I think from now on because of “Cruel Intentions” I will start reading this genre more .
This was one of the books which you need to read all night because you need to know what happens next.
Abby and Cam are very complex characters. Their relationship isn’t like the ones you can find in fairy tales. They hate each other. There is no respect because in fact they enemies.
Because they belong to the two different kinds of the elite.
The end was so unexpected, I was like “What happened right now?!?!” .
And yes, there is a cliffhanger in the end. So, right now I need to wait to find out what happened to Abby .
P. S. I can’t wait for the second book in this series and I need it right now.
I really hate cliffhangers in the books .
Highly recommended!!!
I received an advanced copy in return for my honest review. This book was one of the best books i have read this year. I cant wait for the next one!! Siobhan Davis is a genius when it comes to writing. The characters where great the plot was amazing, she made me feel like i was in the book with the characters. This book is a Bully romance on steroids, There are so many out right now that they are all starting to sound the same EXCEPT this book it is in a group all its own i cant say enough how much i loved it . I never saw the ending coming!!!! I cant wait for the next one.
I received an ARC in exchanged for an honest review and I can honestly say this book is right up my alley. Lately, I’ve been into teen-angst/bully romance so, if you’re looking for something like that, this book is perfect for you!
I won’t give away anything but you’re surely in for a ride. The H is tough as nails and the h, albeit a bit lost, is strong.
***spoiler alert***
It’s a cliffy! So I really can’t wait for the next book!
Just wow! The book was incredible. I had a hard time putting it down. The only thing that isn’t great is it ends in a major cliffhanger and the next one isn’t scheduled to be out until August. One of the best bully romances I have read. It gets dark and intense. Another amazing book by Siobhan! I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Cam & Abigail’s story blew me away, I was sucked in from the first chapter and now I’m dying for more.
You think you know but you have no idea!
Queen Bee isn’t always as good as it seems.
Unable to pick your own future and engaged to a pig of a Manama a father who could care less about your well being. Life can be horrible
When the elite boys leave for special training Abby is dethroned by the new elite and treated the way she has treated others. The new elite are the ultimate bullies and they have their reasons.
This book has twists and turns you will not see coming and a mystery is revealed that will make your head spin!
This book didn’t in a cliffhanger but it was not a major one that I felt like I was going to die before the next book comes out. Most of the plot points were cleared up in this book before the cliffhanger
Dear sweet baby Jesus, THIS BOOK. This book y’all. You think you’re ready but you’re not. Siobhan Davis has set the bar high with Cruel Intentions, the first in her dark high school bully romance series. Cruel Intentions is full of secrets, lies, deceit, and ultimately revenge. When the old elite and the new elite collide, lines will be crossed, secrets will be revealed, and bullets will fly. Strap on your seat belt and enjoy the ride that is Rydeville High.
The book starts with a bang, our introduction to Abby a heartbreaking one. I have to say that I love her. Her strength, her determination, her loyalty to her friends make her such a likable character that you just want to hug. You quickly come to learn what a douche Abby’s father is. He has Drew, her twin brother in training to take the reigns at their company. Drew’s friend Trent is Abby’s fiance, but not by choice. It’s an arranged marriage set up by their fathers. She’s already started plotting her escape before her 18th birthday when the new Elite show up in town and start making noise. Funny thing though, it’s not the first time she’s met Camden and that complicates things even more….
Camden, Sawyer, and Jackson show up in Rydeville and shake things up. They’re on a mission to get answers, and with the old Elite out of town for a month at training, Abby is a standing target. But even when Cam is tormenting her, she can’t deny the pull towards him. Their chemistry is undeniable and it bothers them just as much as they like it. The question is, when secrets are revealed and the old Elite are back in town, do Cam and Abby stand a chance or will cruel intentions tear them apart.
I finished this book yesterday and I still don’t feel like I have the words to do this book justice. It is hands down my favorite of Siobhan’s books and definitely one of my top 3 reads this year. The writing in brilliant and intense. The suspense and mystery keeps you turning the pages. The chemistry between Cam and Abby is palpable and Jackson adds some much needed humor and you cant help but love him too. I am completely enthralled with Abby and Cam’s story and I will be on pins and needles, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Twisted Betrayal. August cannot get here soon enough because that ending had my jaw on the floor frantically trying to turn pages that weren’t there.
The current trend – obsession, even – in romance really confuses me. In my mind, bullying does not result in love. It does not matter how people try to justify this, my personal experience has made it impossible to put the two aspects together in my mind. I have physical and emotional scars from years of bullying, to this day it still influences my thoughts and decisions, and I cannot imagine how I could have ever fallen for a bully.
In fact, when I stop and think about it I can come up with the moment that most bully romances would have turned into the moment where my feelings changed. There was one time, when I was sitting in the reception covered in blood following another incident in which I was badly injured and one of the guys who’d been bullying me walked by. He hadn’t been there at the time of the injury, but when he walked by, he stopped and looked at me. I was a mess and he came over and helped me clean up the blood from my face and helped remove the stones from my hair. In the books, this is where my heart would have turned to mush. Instead, I was terrified he was going to do something else to me.
I was terrified he was going to do something else to me, that he was there to gloat. Even when he made it clear he did not agree with what had happened, I did not believe him. I viewed it as some twisted part of the game they were playing – after all, similar things had happened before – and I was on edge the entire time. In retrospect I can see it was a turning point for him – he was never involved in any of the later injuries I received, and he made a point of checking on me when they were really bad – but during the rest of my time at school I continued to be fearful of what he would do as I did not believe it to be a real change.
I understand how easy it is to confuse emotions, I understand the science of misplaced attraction, but I find it impossible to believe someone can do a complete one-eighty towards someone responsible for so much pain in their life. It’s years later and my scars have not healed. The physical scars are faded and I lie about how I received some of them, unwilling to share the true stories behind the scars. The other physical injuries are mostly a thing of the past (although the time they destroyed my ankle will be a constant reminder of the things that happened to me, as I’ve ended up in hospital as a result of the injury almost yearly since the event). The emotional scars will never heal, as to this day I do not trust people when they are nice to me and there is the constant worry of what they’re planning to do to me.
Despite all of this, Siobhan Davis is an author I’ll always read. She has a way of convincing me to try new things and usually has me falling in love with things I did not expect to love. The fact the Kyler arc of the Kennedy Boys series is considered a bully romance had me believing the Rydeville High Elite series would wow me in the same way. After all, I do not consider the Kyler arc a bully romance. Sure, he was an a-hole, but it was not a typical case of bullying. Thus, I was eager for Cruel Intentions.
Throughout Cruel Intentions my feelings were mixed. There were times when I enjoyed the story, times when I was indifferent to the story, and times where I was finding it difficult to get into the story. Despite my feelings towards the bully romance trend, my issue was not in that. My issue was in how the book seemed to be trying too hard. Things were taken to extremes and focused upon trying to create a shock effect, which took away from the story unfolding. Things were dramatic and over the top, and I could not get on board with these things. It just wasn’t doing anything for me.
However, when things were focused upon moving the story forward I was enjoying myself. There was plenty to come together, and it was interesting to watch the way things unfolded. Only, these aspects did not remain. We regularly returned to being overly dramatic and I was pulled back towards my indifferent state. Add in the fact I did not feel the romance between the two characters – we were constantly told there was chemistry between them rather than being shown the depth of the chemistry between them – and I was surprised by Cruel Intentions.
It had the potential to be another winner from Siobhan Davis, another book capable of changing my mind, yet it didn’t do what I had hoped. I was addicted, as I always am with the author’s work, but it was lacking in the things that usually leave me obsessed with a Siobhan Davis novel. I wanted more depth for the romance, not more depth in the overly dramatic elite story. Sure, the elite storyline was important – but I got tired of watching excess drama play out, especially with how I wanted the main storyline to progress and develop.
Don’t get me wrong, this was addictive, it simply wasn’t all I’d hoped it would be. It’s a three-point-five-star rating rather than the high rating Siobhan Davis usually pulls from me, but it certainly has me wanting to see what comes next. I’m not desperate in the way I have been with other Siobhan Davis cliff-hangers, but I’m certainly curious.
I know I’m in the minority with this one, as everyone else seems to have been wowed, but I expected more from this than I was given. My fingers are crossed book two gives me the usual Siobhan Davis feels.
Deceit. Lies. Pain.
How can I love something that riles me up so much?? Definitely one of my top reads ever.
Siobhan Davis has shocked me once again with her new dark bully romance ‘Cruel Intentions’.
When I signed up for this arc I didn’t know what I was walking into, and after a Wild ride of emotional rollercoasters, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve just sold my should to the devil.
This book is dark on a whole new level. It is infuriatingly good and incredibly addictive.
Dark doesn’t come close to describing this book, wicked and evil don’t either. It is a match of love and hate, good and evil, infuriating and swoony, it is a match made both in heaven and in hell.
The Old Elite rules everything, not only at Rydeville High but around the city. They are the Kings and Queens of the town, everyone looks up at them or wishes they were them. Everything is perfectly staged and everyone is putting their best act at use, but behind closed doors and in contrast to what the world sees, the elite word is dangerous, malevolent and downright wicked.
Abigail Mannings has been born and bred for this world, she knows how it works and the consequences her action could have. That, though, doesn’t mean she’s the stupid little rich girl happy with her role everyone thinks she is. Abby is a stubborn young woman, she’s strong and sassy, she’ll do anything to escape this world but to do so she needs a plan and even when she thinks freedom is close, it never seems to be.
She is amazingly brave, with a heart of gold and a tongue of the devil, no one crosses her and no one wins against her. Sassy and Intelligence run through her veins, making her very dangerous to anyone who decides to go against her. Everyone but Camden Marshall.
The Devil himself pales in confront to Camden Marshall. Cam is evil, vindictive, painfully hot and extremely skilled. He’s calculated, stubborn and part of The New Elite.
Nothing seems to faze him and he’ll do anything to reach his end goal. When talking about Cam, you never know if he’s genuine or is just acting, but sometimes, here and there, we get small glimpses inside that cold exterior and see a caring and haunted-by-the past man.
The tension between the two elites is high, and Abby seems to be in the middle of it all. Trying to make the right decisions while upholding a very important reputation and also trying to gain something for herself isn’t easy. And Cam definitely doesn’t make it any easier.
This is a very dark bully romance that touches various touchy subjects, has tons of violence in it and some triggering scenes. But it is also intriguing and obsessive you won’t be able to put the book down. Or seat comfortably and not at the edge of your seat, if we really wanna say it.
I very highly recommend this book if you like a glimpse in the dark, with a dash of humor and a bunch of hot as sin boys. Laugh, love, cry, gasp and hurt with ‘Cruel Intentions.
Beware: massive cliff hanger that will ruin you and leave you wanting more. You’ve been warned.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book.
Rydeville High is run by the ‘Old Elite’, Trent, Charlie, and Drew, whose families all come from old money. Everyone knows it, and the school runs smoothly because of it. When the ‘New Elite’ show up at Rydeville all bets are off. Camden, Sawyer and Jackson are here to stir things up, and to challenge the current rulings. Drew’s twin sister Abby is in the center of both groups, she is engaged to Trent (not by choice) and unbeknownst to her, she gave her V-card to a member of the new elite. As the battle wages on and secrets are revealed, the one thing that Abby knows is she can’t turn off her attraction to Camden, no matter how much he hates her and how much he torments her. When everything comes to a head, and even more secrets are revealed, can Abby find a way out?
This book…I’m not sure I even have the words 24 hours later to describe this book. ‘Cruel Intentions’ is a mixture (in my personal opinion) of the Fallen Crest Series by Tijan and the Boys of Brayshaw by Meagan Brandy. I don’t know what it is, but I am drawn to the Bully Romance genre and I can’t seem to get enough. The description of this book is just the tip of the iceberg. It is not only wonderfully written but will have you on the edge of your seat begging for more pages. I’ve never read any other books by Siobhan Davis, but let me tell you, if they are all like this, I’ll be buying every single one of them! This book had me going through every type of emotion. Just when I thought things were settling down, something else would happen that would throw me for another loop! The chemistry between Cam and Abby was fire hot, and I need more. Hands down one of the best books I’ve read this year, I am dying for the next book in this series to release!!
**I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.**
HOLY CRAP. Cruel Intentions just rocked my whole world and came out of nowhere for me!! This story was blisteringly hot and delicious and filled with so much toxic (but decadent) bully goodness I might die. This story was sexy and delicious and so angsty at times I was rocking in the corner. It was also dark, disturbing and a bit uncomfortable at times but that is what made it so addicting. If you love bully romances, this book is for you!! The secrets, lies, conspiracies were so consuming. This book was absolutely amazingggg!!!
This is only my second Siobhan Davis story but lord did this book make me take notice. Anyone who knows me knows that bully romances are my crack and this story? Lorddd did it deliver. I was obsessed with all the confrontations between the New and Old Elite and how one girl was caught in the crossfire between both worlds. I loved Abigail. She was sassy and strong and determined to get to the bottom of all the long-lost secrets and lies while keeping her heart from getting trampled on by the cold and callous stranger she once knew.
AHH!! I am trying to remain vague as the shocks and twists in this story will blow your mind. This story was so delicious and dirty and dares to push the envelope into even dirtier territory. But the romance itself is amazing. Abigail and Cam are two peas in a pod. Strong and determined to win at all costs but their sizzling attraction is FIREEEE. And that ending? OMGGGGGG!!! I NEED MOREEEEEE!! ~5 STARS! ~Ratula
Oh my goodness what have i just read, this is my first book by Siobhan Davis and what a book to read. This book had me hooked throughout the whole story and yes it ends on a cliffhanger but a cliffhanger it is.
Holy crazy, if your looking to YA, bullies one hell of a story then this is one that you will want to read, it pushes the boundaries to the point of where i wasn’t sure what was going to happen.
This book had all the twists and turns and until you get to the last page you have no idea how it’s going to get all twisted up and i loved that.
If you love your bad a** heroine then Abigail is your chick, you see her at her most vulnerable at the very start but that just sets her scene of why she is pretty much going rouge. She was born into a family that wasn’t the best but they were the elite and you needed to act a certain way.
Trent was someone you were going to hate and the same as her brother and Charlie you may be in the fence about but they are the elite and shouldn’t be messed with until the new elite turn up. Who includes Camden who is broody as hell, Jackson who is so funny and sawyer who was really interesting you didn’t know what he was thinking half the time but it was interesting to see the elites go head to head.
As i said this was just such an awesome story and will push you, not with darkness but what the elites and the fathers of these kids will do to hold the power,l.
I don’t want to say too much because you need to know as least as possible to be so hooked into this story, loved loved loved this and can’t wait for the next book to come out super freaking excited
When it comes to pushing boundaries and tackling societal taboos, no one does it better than author, Siobhan Davis. And since I’m not one to shy away from the dark, the twisted, and the offensive, I find myself gravitating towards the stories that this author chooses to deliver. That being said, I truly wish I could join the pack and say that I loved her latest novel, “Cruel Intentions.” But for me, this bully romance, really missed the mark.
Boasting an intriguing premise and an introduction that immediately drew me in, I was excited to delve deeper into “Cruel Intentions.” However, despite the writing that I cannot fault in any way, this bully romance is basically all bully without any trace of the romance. In fact, the story frequently veered towards “over-the-top”—for shock value, perhaps—but it added nothing towards the advancement of the overall story. And with characters sporting constant hard-on’s and lacking any redeemable qualities that I could readily discern, I just wasn’t able to connect to them in any meaningful way. Hence, a genuine love connection seemed highly improbable.
Despite the fact that “Cruel Intentions” is my least favorite of all of Siobhan’s books, it does have some compelling moments. It just isn’t enough to get me past all the negative issues I’ve detailed above. Still, I applaud this author’s desire to tackle difficult subjects by integrating them into her stories, and I will continue to support her by reading every new release with eager interest.
