After divorcing the woman he’d been with since he was seventeen, Nick Fuller is starting over. He owns the restaurant of his dreams and he’s determined to meet new people, find new passions, and experience life to its fullest. Easier said than done—that is until he meets his new neighbor, Bryce Tanner…
Bryce is all about a good time. He plans to show Nick how it’s done, help him meet a few … a few women, and enjoy the gift of the single life he’s been given. But things don’t go as planned, and soon they realize they’d rather be together than with anyone else.
Neither man has ever wanted another guy, but there’s a connection between them from the start—a spark they can’t deny. They find themselves navigating an unfamiliar new world and dealing with unforeseen obstacles. Physical desire isn’t enough, and now Nick and Bryce are at a crossroads. They have to decide which way to go: the easy path they’ve always followed, or the one that’s determined to trip them up at every turn.

I loved watching these characters slowly fall in love while at the same time learn new things about themselves.
This was the first book I ever read by Riley Hart and I was hooked from the get go! I loved Bryce and Nick. I loved their undeniable connection. I loved their friendship that turned into so much more. It was steamy and sweet and completely believable as I watched these two fall head over heels in love with each other, neither with any idea of how it was happening but refusing to back away just because it was new. Beautifully written as always by the amazing Riley Hart.
This was my first Riley Hart book and it didn’t disappoint! Loved this steamy, sweet friends-to-lovers romance! Bryce and Nick are hot and adorable characters! I loved their slow pull into unchartered waters. Rather than let it consume them or be afraid, they navigated it together. Definitely recommend this one! Five NOT JUST FRIENDS Stars!
Awesome series that features an M/M/M romance done right!
ETA: Oops! Wrong book, the book series I was thinking of is another by Riley Hart called Broken Pieces and is part of her Full Circle series.
I LOVED this story!!! Although, I did have my doubts. When I read the blurb I was like two seemingly straight guys fall for each other instantly, that can’t be right but this story was written so beautifully apart from one or two minor issues that it was all OK in the end.
Bryce and Nick were two people who didn’t seem like they should even be friends much less lovers but as the story unfolds you see that they are more similar on not only their beliefs but also in the way they feel for one another. Crossroads was intense in the way these two fell for each other and while the story moves fast, I couldn’t not be sucked into this story.
“You’ve turned my whole fucking world upside down, you know that?” “Yeah,” Nick whispered. “Yeah, you’ve done the same with mine.”
The family aspect for both guys were wonderful! Bryce’s family was always supportive of him being happy even if they had their reservations and Nick’s sisters were always there for him but it was Nick’s mom that couldn’t grasp the concept of her perfect boy falling for a MAN! There was witty banter, some rough moments, a lot of sexy bits and most of all love. This story was one of my favorites of 2020! I am here for all things Nick and Bryce while I have heard book two is not as good, I do hope to see an appearance from these two in it.
Crossroads took me by surprise as how much I loved this book. Nick Fuller and Bryce Tanner come with baggage from the past. One divorced, one health issues, both have very close family ties and very opinionated moms who want the best for their sons. By chance they become neighbors who share a back yard. As the friendship grows, so does their love for one another. Considering both have never had a m/m relationship and very matter of fact to tell others that they are heterosexual. But soon they realize their feelings go way beyond just friendship. Crossroads is a perfect title for the book as they come to a point of following their hearts to be together even if it means losing family members to lack of support. Or just walking away from a love of a lifetime.
I laughed, cried, and fell in love with them both. Two completely different attitudes but they balance each other out perfectly.
Read this book in one sitting! A matter of hours! Loved the slow burn, the leading up to! Nick and Bryce were written so perfectly! What does it matter if who we are or what we are, as long as the love is there? The story was so well done…meeting as neighbors, both just needing space from their families and lives, just to be. The bonding as friends first is so important to this story. To have them grow without the realization of anything else, establishing a base. We all need that, straight or gay. All my emotions were wrapped up in this tale, cracking up at their banter, smoldering as their lust grew, frustrated at their problems and crying yes once again, Riley…first in sadness and then in joy!
Where do I start? First, I have to say that I’m in love with this cover as much as I am with the story. Then, there’s the friendship. The confusion. The attraction… and let’s go forget, the families. The shock. The gossip.
There are so many emotions in Nick and Bryce’s story that I’m not even going to try to sum it up.
Kudos to Riley Hart! If you haven’t read it yet and you believe that love is love, one-click Crossroads now.
I bought this book in 2016 with the intention to read it the week I bought it. Fast forward and it’s not 2020 and I finally got to it. At first, I was a little apprehensive, this is a book that has a lot of positive reviews, but I was afraid it was going to let me down. GFY books are usually not my favorite romance trope, but I’m willing to try almost any book. And I’m so glad that I did. This was a beautiful story of two men who find love with each other. Yes there’s some angst, but overall, the angst factor in this book is low and there’s no doubt that Nick and Bryce belong together. I enjoyed the how Nick and Bryce’s relationship developed and grew – it was beautiful, tender, and so strong. It made my heart feel warm, and that, more than anything, made this book a success for me.
4.5 stars – this was a short, fun read and super HOT! Both Nick and Bryce are two likable nice guys who find love unexpectedly. It’s heartwarming and the bedroom scenes were steamy as hell. I’m onto the next book in this series!
I enjoyed this sexy M/M story and I really adored these characters!
Nick is a restaurant owner and newly divorced, and has recently moved in next door to sexy, motorcycle shop owner, Bryce. They live in a duplex with a shared back yard.
They meet, hang out a few times, and get to know each other better. Lots of emotions as these two explore this new relationship. They enjoy spending time together, so why not take it to the next level.
Watching their curiosity and their attraction was delightful and entertaining and delicious.
Neither of them have been with a man sexually, so seeing them enjoy each other’s company, so open and willing to try just about anything, was very, very…fun and hot.
I was very irritated with Nick’s mother’s response to their relationship. I understand not everyone is supportive, but she really made me want to throat punch her. LOL
*I listened to the audiobook. I do believe I would’ve enjoyed it a lot more had I read it.
This was my first read by this author and I really enjoyed it! I’ll definitely be checking out more of her work.
Crossroads, yet another great book by this author!! So genuine, adorable, emotional and HOT AF!
“…Why does everything have to be so black or white? Boy or girl? Gay or straight? Why does everything have to have a reason? Maybe some things don’t have reasons. Maybe they’re destined to be for no other reason than the fact that they are.”
Bryce and Nick, wow! Such a beautiful connection!
“The direction they went in didn’t matter. The only thing that did was the fact that they’d travel the bumpy roads, twists and turns, rises and falls by each other’s sides.”
This was the first book I’d read where both the characters were new to the idea of a same-gender relationship, and it was really engaging. Both the men were unique personalities that brought their own strengths and challenges to the relationship, and it felt quite realistic. The mixed reactions of their families were expected and unfortunate–but I did like the fact that the brother and best friend both saw the relationship for what it was before the men themselves. I enjoyed this!
KINDLE CRACK!!!!!
A first to me Author that will from now on forever have a fan!
This read is everything!!!
It has all the feels and an absolute unputdownable read that will captivate you whole heartedly.
I’ve never read a story where both MC’s were straight and turned GFY. But I absolutely love these type of reads.
Thank you for an amazing journey!
I’ve read this author before. I listened to the audiobook. This is a mm contemporary story about Nick and Bryce. This is a GFY, a book of personal discovery where everything does not always go right. Great start to this series and I’m going to listen to more of this series.
Love this series, have reread this one so many times 🙂
This beautiful story is about two previously straight men finding friendship and love with one another. Both Nick and Bryce had a startle when they realized they had feelings for each other and a lot to work through including coming out not only to themselves but to their families as well which is not easy at any age. This story had compassion, laughter, love and lots of emotions.
Such a Great Book!
Crossroads is book one in the Crossroads series by Riley Hart. This is my very first book by this author. It was very highly stressed to me that I needed to read this book. That this book would rock my world. And YES, it did. Thank you, Karen. I’m so glad I listened to you.
Nick Fuller is getting ready to live alone for the very first time in his life. Nick is thirty years old and is a chef in his own restaurant. He’d been with the same girl since he was seventeen. But their marriage ended, badly. Nick is the youngest and only son with three older sisters, all married. He’s very close to his family but his mother is very traditional. Women and men have their place in a marriage.
Bryce Tanner is thirty two years old and owns his own motorcycle shop. Working on motorcycles is his passion. But it might have taken Bryce a little longer than some to figure it out. Bryce lives life to the fullest. If he wants a woman, he goes out and finds one. He is also the youngest sibling with two older, married brothers. His mother wants nothing more than for her youngest son to get married and give her some grandchildren.
Nick and Bryce are neighbors, living in a duplex and sharing a back yard. They become fast friends and Bryce decides it’s his job to help Nick to experience life. To help him meet women. But after a few failed attempts, they both discovered that they had more fun just hanging out. They had so much in common and they made each other laugh.
“It was strange; usually it took him a while to warm up to people, but he felt comfortable with Bryce from the start.”
Neither Bryce nor Nick had ever been attracted to a man before. They were both straight men. But as their friendship deepened, feelings began to develop. They started noticing things about each other that they shouldn’t notice about another man. They couldn’t understand what was happening. Why now and why this man? But neither wanted to fight it, neither wanted to walk away.
“His whole life he’d tried to have as much fun as possible. What he didn’t realize was, he didn’t even know what fun was until he’d met Nick.”
When Nick and Bryce were alone, in their own little bubble, they found something they had never had before with anyone else. But unfortunately, they couldn’t stay that way forever. They were both close with their families and were certain they wouldn’t take it well.
“What is it about you? Why do we both feel like this? What is going to happen if we keep this up? Why does it feel like my whole life was spent waiting for something, even though I didn’t know it until now?”
I am just in love with this book, with Nick and Bryce. I loved the way they approached the sexual part of their relationship, like an adventure. It was adorable and freaking hot! They had no idea what to do and had so much fun figuring it out. Together, they just fit in every way.
“It’s like you filled this place in my world that I didn’t know needed to be filled. I didn’t even know it was there before you came and claimed it. Wanting you is the only thing I’m sure of.”
If you enjoy this trope, you just have to read this book. I sighed, I swooned, I smiled, a lot! Nick and Bryce just stole my heart. Their road wasn’t always an easy one. But as long as they are together, they will find a way. The next book in this series is called Shifting Gears and features Rod, who works in the adult toy store that we met briefly in this book. Thanks again to Karen for this. I can’t wait to dig through all of Riley’s other works and see what’s available!
This was the very first book I read by Riley Hart and I absolutely loved it! The development of their relationship was so well done!
