When the wrong man turns out to be the right one…Nash, a longtime Dirty Angels MC member and lead singer of Dirty Deeds, has a secret. For years, he’s hidden his bisexuality from his brothers, fellow bikers, worried how they’d take the news. But Nash isn’t the only one keeping secrets from his brotherhood. So is Cross, a police officer and member of the Blue Avengers MC.As opposite as they … MC.
As opposite as they come, when Cross spots Nash across the bar, he can’t resist the unexpected attraction. Then lines are crossed, boundaries blurred. And they need to survive in two different worlds where men who like other men aren’t usually accepted, and where bikers and cops don’t mix.
Reality and fantasy are two different things. The fantasy being Cross and Nash can be together, that they can make it work. The reality being their situation is impossible. Cross will never give up being a cop. Nash will never give up being a biker. What either of them would have to walk away from is more than anyone should ask for. In the end, fighting reality could be a losing battle in a war they might never win.
Note: A standalone, Crossing the Line is a crossover gay romance involving a member of the Dirty Angels MC and one from the Blue Avengers MC. It includes forbidden love, enemies to lovers, cop vs biker, alpha vs alpha. As with all my books, it has no cliffhanger and an HEA.

It took me a while to write this review because I wanted to do this book the justice it deserves! This book was brutally honest, and a lot of heart ache mixed with love. Nash is a man whose brotherhood and music mean absolutely everything to, including hiding who he really is. Cross, is a dedicated and loyal police officer who knows just what it is like to have to hide who you really are. An unlikely match made in motorcycle heaven is found with these men. I never wanted this book to end! The rawness, realness, and pure STEAMING hot pages of this book are impossible not to love! Jeanne St. James is a book genius and I hope to see these two men in her book world again one day!
After two years of reading new Dirty Angels books every couple months about the members, their history, and the mating of the second generation and birthing the third generation, we feel ourselves like members, loving the brotherhood and their supportive ol’ ladies. One constant in these stories has been Nash with his room upstairs in Church, riding on their outings, and singing with his band at their regular pig roasts. What would DAMC be without Nash? Certainly not the same. What would Nash be without DAMC? Nothing! Like he was 20 years ago as a teenager living on the streets with a second-hand guitar when Jag picked him up and brought him ‘home’ to the Dirty Angels. Laid back, free to indulge in his AC/DC cover music, capturing the spotlight only when entertaining on stage, we now learn that Nash has a hankering for men on the DL. After all these years, he’s been picked up by a policeman, Cross, and fallen in love. What these two have in common is complete rejection by their fathers, the shared adoption of ‘Live and Learn’ as their motto, and keeping their sexuality secret from their co-workers and MCs. Even if their sexuality were not a problem, cops hate motorcycle ‘gangs’ and MCs hate ‘pigs’. They can actually smell a ‘pig.’ It will tear your heart out as these two grow to love each other knowing that nobody in their lives will accept the one they love…making a shared life together impossible!
Loved this book. A biker and a cop, two alpha males who shouldn’t work as a couple, but do. Loved the chemistry between Nash and Cross. The storyline and characters capture you and you can feel their struggles.
My first M/M book and i must say its packed full of raw emotion, with a tense story line battling the prejudice faced by cross and nash throughout the book both within themselves and their fellow brothers. Not forgetting plenty of steamy scenes! Couldn’t put this down and each page has you wanting more and more from the storyline. Loved how deep and raw the emotions are from the book and it just tugs at your heart strings throughout! Love is love and i loved the storyline they were given! Hoping to see more of these two in future books.
Biker plus a Cop equals one awesome read!!
Nash is a biker with the DAMC, he’s also in the band Dirty Deeds…he harbors a secret none of his brothers know about him. A night out on his own he meets Cross, a cop from a town away from Shadow Valley. After a little conversation they realize it couldn’t possibly work out, Nash is a biker and Cross a cop, odds were stacked against them.
My first experience with a M/M read and I loved it. The book opened my eyes with all the challenges a same sex couple could face between daily life, friendships and work. A very emotional book that brings on tears, laughter, heartache, love, acceptance and more.
Well done Jeanne St. James, what an amazing read and continuation in the characters you love to write about. I can’t wait for more…
Cross is a police officer who knows that if his fellow officers knew that he preferred men that his life would never be the same. Nash is a member of the Dirty Angel MC who leads a secret life that he doesn’t share with his brothers as he knows that it would change the way they look at him.
These two couldn’t be more different from each other but they can’t deny the chemistry between them. If the truth about their relationship comes out will they have to choose between loyalty to their brothers and their love for each other?
Full of emotion and heat this is a story of two very different people who complete each other and the impact it has on their lives.
Hot steamy romance between these powerful alphas! Great read and loved the complexity of the characters!
Completely wrong, that is what the attraction between Nash, the lead singer for Dirty Deeds and patched DAMC member and Cross, a cop, is. Nash has only two things in his life, his music and his DAMC family. So if he has to keep who he is under wraps in order to keep them, that is what he will do. Cross has no one but his blue family and the MC for law enforcement. He keeps his love life under wraps as well, he is bucking for a promotion. A chance meeting starts a chain of events that slowly spirals out of control. How can two people so wrong for each other feel so right and is there any chance for them at all?
This book was a painful journey for Nash and a sad one for Cross. Nash’s past and his fear that his sexuality will get him tossed out of the MC keep him from taking a full chance on his attraction to Cross. Cross wants to have a relationship with Nash right from the start but his profession is a big stumbling block. He is so alone but he really opens himself up to Nash knowing it could blow up in his face. This was such an emotional story, my chest aching for them. Watching two people finally finding the one who will always be there for them, no matter what was everything. I loved these two guys so much, hoping and praying they would be able to work things out. Jeanne St James is a phenomenal talent and thank my lucky stars for the day I discovered her!
I have to admit, this was my first M/M romance. I love the DAMC books and I really wanted to read this as part of that series and because I love Jeanne’s books. I knew this would be good and I was right! Jeanne really made you feel the pain and struggles of these two star-crossed lovers. Its a shame that people have to hide who they are. They were so good together and seemed to complete each other. I love the necklace scene Their struggles were heart-wrenching and I’m glad they were able to find a way to make it work. Great book!
I really enjoyed reading this book.
The story was very well written and held my attention.
Nash and Cross had loads of chemistry and had to
overcome things due to their clubs.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
from an advanced reader copy
Crossing The Lines has two of my favorite subjexts; MC romance and a spicy m/m story. Nash is a man consumed with trying to juggle his band life, his biker life, and his bisexual tendencies.
Cross has his own issues as a police officer in a world where the very word gay can get you off the cases and sitting behind a desk for the rest of your career.
When Nash and Cross come together, they will question every rule and regulation. Can they find a way to make their dreams of love and happiness come true or will they be destined to be on opposite sides of the proverbial line that has been drawn in the sand?
Jeanne St. James has a talent that surpasses others within the genres she writes. I have read each of the DAMC series and always love coming back to the characters from other books. I will say that I didn’t quite feel the closure I was hoping for when it comes to how Cross and Nash’s lives end up.But from other books that are within her series, I have a feeling this is not the last we have heard about Nash and Cross. Whether this is a first St. James book for you or if you are a frequent flyer like me, you will not be disappointed with this steamy story. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
OMG loved it.
A cop and a biker. Sounds like the beginning of a bad joke right? This pair is nothing to joke about! These two Dominant Alpha males are at times too hot to handle. If you don’t like M/M this is NOT the book for you. Nash and Cross are meant to be together but with neither of them being “out” and hiding their true selves from everyone around them how can they have the HEA they deserve? Once you cross the line how can you come back without a broken heart?
I just got book hangover!!! This is a great book, MM and all. I was just dying to know the Blue Avengers some more besides sexy cupcake licking Axel. Cross is a closeted cop who finds bad biker and rock musician Nash irresistible. What could be more dangerous! But besides their obvious combusting chemistry, there is a bit of their story that tugged at my heart, specially Nash. He truly deserved a happily ever after. I just loved the battle of who bossed who and when, their banter, their struggle to go the distance and the strength to overcome the obstacles. Awesome book Ms St James!!
Is it possible to choose who you fall in love with? Cross has always been attracted to men even though it could be career suicide since he is in law enforcement. Nash has been attracted to both men and women but has to hide one side since his MC would never accept that. When the two meet, neither knows about the others challenges but they are extremely attracted to one another. That first kiss blows me away. Both men are so alpha that they get in their own way of happiness.
I devoured my way through this book. Jeanne St James has an ability to write characters that I both cheer for and want to slap for their stubbornness. These two men are no different. Nash belongs to an MC that has its own series of books that you do NOT need to read BUT you miss how this MC is a family first. And this is the only family that Nash has. He wants to make them proud and never wants to loose them. Cross doesn’t give up on following what he feels can be something great. I admire that about him and yes he too belongs to a brotherhood that won’t necessarily accept who he really is either. He two of them dance around each other and find what has been missing.
I couldn’t wait to read Nash’s book! I’m a huge fan of all of Jeanne’s DAMC books and Crossing the Line just added itself to my favorites. What happens when two extremely different people cross paths and should just walk away from each other. This book sent me through a rollercoaster of emotions. In the best possible way. Both Cross and Nash are extremely likeable characters. I rooted for their relationship as I read. I loved this book and would definitely recommend it! I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The book gives you a new meaning to crazy romance. Best mm i have read so far.
I thoroughly enjoyed this M/M romance. I just loved the complexity of these two characters and their relationship. I found it easy to feel for these two as they struggled with their feelings toward each other and the fears of revealing who they really are to those around them. Add in the bad boy/good guy angle and you have a steamy, emotional romance that will keep you on edge with the tension and drama, while melting your heart as it is battered by all the angst.
OMG! I loved Nash and Cross! Their story was fantastic! Nash is a biker and lead singer for the Dirty Deeds band and Cross is a cop. Usually the two don’t mix. They both have been hiding what they are. A chance meeting takes them on one wild ride! This story is a very intense, emotional roller coaster ride I’m glad I was on! Will Cross and Nash be able to build a life together or will they have to go their own ways? I wish I could give it more than 5 stars because it deserves it!
Jeanne has written another fantastic book! It is a great addition to the series! I’m eagerly waiting for her next book! It can’t get here soon enough!
Another Incredibly written book by Jeanne St. James. I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy this book. But I could not put it down. I feel like I have learned so much!!
A very well written piece that continues the DAMC story, but also is easily read on its own.
I would definitely recommend reading the entires DAMC series (10 Books).
Without giving too much away I will say that the book did not end how I thought it would. It was definitely a page turner.
Both Cross and Nash are two characters that are easy to fall in love with, or at least have not dreams about.
