A ruthless ex. An abandoned medical degree. And a woman who will make Daniel forget all that…Kayla marries Nick when she isn’t old enough to know better. With an ever-ailing mother and co-ownership of Nick’s company, Kayla is too busy to see what everyone else does until it is too late. With no children, an unfinished education, and both the intelligence and drive to move mountains, nothing can … nothing can stand in Kayla’s way…until the first day of school.
Daniel is hard-nosed, has a chip on his shoulder, and he has neither the time nor the desire for anything other than work. Pre-med and former military, Daniel is the chosen sibling to watch his father post-stroke, adding fuel to his ire, as his already busy life has been put on hold. He’s a loner, hard-working, he’s rich…and he is about as sexy as they come.
Kayla and Daniel have a very awkward meeting….at least on the second attempt. Daniel can’t stand the once-too-forward girl he met when forced to go out with his friends, and Kayla begrudges her friends for forcing her to slip off her wedding ring and party before the ink dried on her divorce papers. Kayla never expected things to end up the way that they did, and if she could take it back, she would. But life’s like that.
Everything is all perfunctory between Daniel and Kayla until Daniel learns something about her that compels him to help her in a way that nobody else can. While she refuses to take the hand that he’s offering her, she soon realizes that when it comes down to it, he is all that she’s got, and he soon realizes that she’s all that he’s ever wanted…he just never knew it. A once-hardened man softens and learns to open his heart, because his heart will take nothing less than hers.
A heartbreaking yet heartwarming love story about what happens in real life when two people are forced together under difficult circumstances. Daniel and Kayla will warm your heart and renew your belief that true love is really out there, even when you’re not necessarily looking for it. This is the first book in a new steamy romance series. First in the Miles for Love Series, Crossing Boundaries introduces us to Kayla & Daniel. Kayla just coming out of a marriage, is determined to return to school and reach her goals. Daniel, a pre-med student, who had to put his life on hold, is doing the same. This book has great characters, heartache, and action rolled into one. A satisfying read. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily give my review.
Wow I had a great time with this storyline. The characters are well developed and engaging and full of chemistry. I enjoyed the smooth flow of the storyline. Kudos to the author for delivering a great storyline. I loved David and Kyla’s characters they drew me in baggage and all.

This is book one in the Miles for Love series. Meet Kayla, she has made some less than stella choices in her life but she has reached a point where it is time to focus on her. She decides to go back to school and finish her education. Kayla is smart, stubborn and determined, this should be a piece of cake. Or not. Meet Daniel, he is pred-med, former military man that is hard working and successful but has to put life on hold to watch over his father and his health. When these two characters meet, it is not exactly an all out attraction and starry eyes meeting. Fate is determined to bring them together, now just to get Kayla and Daniel on board. This is a well written, heartbreaking journey to finding true love. Enjoy!

Kayla is newly divorced, and finally going back to college, part-time at least. Daniel is former military, and a pre-med student. Their first meeting is less than impressive, and leaves him with the wrong impression about her. They meet again when they’re taking the same nutrition class, and he realizes just how wrong he was about her. In the same study and project group, they become friends, and then best friends. I’ve read fro this author before, and jumped at the chance to read this first book in her new series. There are plot twists and turns that I never imagined, some keeping me sitting on the edge of my seat while biting my nails. Kayla is strong, smart, interesting, devoted to her ailing mother. Daniel is my new book boyfriend – his life is so busy between his internship and classes, and he’s also involved with a parent who has health problems, yet he finds time to let Kayla into his life, and then his heart. I found myself rooting for these two from the beginning, hoping that they would see in each other what others see, especially her mother. This is an absolute must read.

Sandra Alex has written a 5-star book that has the main characters dealing with their feelings for each other. Julia has just gotten divorced and her girlfriends decide to take her out. She gets drunk and does a dirty dance with Daniel. Thinking she will never see him again she gets a little wild. Julia has enrolled in a Dietician class and who does she see in class but Daniel. They end up working on a project together and decide to start a study group with Greg, Kyle, and Brenda. Little do Julia and Daniel know that Greg and Brenda are not who they think they are. The more time that Julia and Daniel spend together the stronger their feelings become. Things go fine until Greg thinks he can get some money out of Daniel. He goes to Julia’s and she offers him some coffee and the next thing she knows is she is in trouble, Daniel has followed Greg and saw his ex-wife and he talks to her, he finds out that Greg is worse than what he thought. When Julia doesn’t show up for class Daniel starts to think something is wrong.
Can Julia get away from Greg and get back to Daniel?
Will Daniel be able to find Julia and save her from Greg?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

I really enjoyed his book and devoured it in an afternoon. If you’re after a love story that has more going on than just the couple then definitely read this book.
The characters are really great and I loved the banter between Kayla and Daniel.
There are lots of things going on in this book, not just the growing relationship between Daniel and Kayla, and that made it a really interesting read.
Daniel is a dream, how he was single is a mystery, he was perfect for Kayla in every single thing he did.
I loved how the story didn’t end when they got together, but you actually got to see how their relationship continued and developed.
This was really good. I enjoyed this very much. Great story line and page turner. The characters, Daniel and Kayla was so real. You could feel the struggle between the two, but there was also a strong chemistry. Finally they both come to their senses and realize that they really do need each other. My first book by this author. I will be looking for more. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This book absolutely touches the emotions of the reader as we read Daniel and Kayla’s story, heartbreaking at times, but you will still feel the strong love and sizzling chemistry. The story line will pull the reader in as we see Kayla and Daniel denying the depth of their feelings. Fortunately, the all-or-nothing kind of vulnerable friendship keeps them holding on until things finally start to go right, when she realizes he is all that she’s got, and he sees she is all that he has ever really wanted — he just never knew it until now.
This is an enjoyable read, despite the occasional need for a tissue swipe now and then – probably just allergies. But seriously, this is one you should read and savor. It has all the “feels” and you won’t want to miss it.
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

Daniel and Kayla will have you in their corners. They both have a lot in common and is burdened with family responsibility. When Kayla’s now ex husband made excuse after excuse as to why she could not return to school, it played the foundation leading to their divorce among other things. Daniel lost his ex through military deployment. When they connect at a bar, Daniel’s first perception of Kayla wasn’t correct and now that they have a class together he is getting to see the real Kayla. Is this the beginning of a second chance for the both of them to get a happily ever after?

ONE FASCINATING EXPERIENCE!!!
Cheers! Sandra absolutely nailed all of the emotions spinning through this bad boy running rampant, unchecked, blazing this baby together piece by piece flawlessly. Amazing scenario’s that punch dead center with such intensity and glittering precision, propelling this bad boy into a tailspin with stunning impacts, blowing this baby wide open. Jumping hoops, hurdling the trials and tribulations that tests our characters in ways they never saw coming. The chemistry builds as each layer is peeled back exposing a growing bond and amplifying affections that catapult this jewel to life beautifully. The characters are authentic, original and realistic with depth and qualities that blend and flow, transforming into approachable personalities. The scenes are so graphically detailed it paints an incredible backdrop that feels as though you’re right there with them. Fantastic job Sandra, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
Romance is good but red flags aplenty
When you treat a stranger better than you do your brother I’ve got issues. The whole family dynamic was completely weird. Like someone who has never had a family writing about one. Watch some Supernatural and you’ll learn all you need to know about family. So the romance was really good it was the rest of it that was crap.
