We met. We kissed. We fought for our happily ever after, but true love stories never end…I promised her protection. I promised to keep her safe. I thought I could until an attack reminds me that our lives will never be simple. But while I try to shield her, Clara refuses to be intimidated by me or anyone else. She thinks hosting the Sovereign Games will bring us all together—as a nation and a … together—as a nation and a family—but someone is working against us. Someone who wants to see my secrets exposed to the world—and to her.
Because the only thing my family has ever buried is its secrets and when she discovers the truth, I might lose everything.
Scandal, betrayal, romance—welcome to the Royal World.

This is a continuation of Alexander & Clara’s story from the first 3 books in the Royals saga. Now he is King it deals with the public perception of him since his fathers death & the continuing threats against his family. Again it is full of lies, deceit & betrayal. More of the many family secrets come to light & this ends on yet another one about to be exposed. I feel in this Clara ruled the roost & her naivety caused a load of unnecessary drama. Alexander seemed a bit weak to me.
However I’m in 2 minds as to whether to it recommend reading the previous books first. As I was lucky enough to have them I felt rereading them gave the history of this couple more clarity. But some not all of their pasts are mentioned in this book. It really depends whether you would be satisfied with just the present or the whole story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ahhhh I love being back with the Royal family! In Wild King we get more of X and Clara. While time wise this book picks up after the Royals Saga, I feel if you start here you will have no problem following along.
This book is full of secrets, scandals, lies and we can’t skimp on those steamy moments! Shagging and snogging with the royal couple 😉 (I just wanted to be able to say that!)
I was completely captivated by their story and so thrilled to be back in this world. I absolutely can not wait for the next book, because I NEED to know what is going on! I NEED to know if my assumptions will be proven true!
I didn’t realize the extent to which I’ve missed Clara and Alexander until I read the very first pages of Wild King. This is a world in which I never want to leave or for the stories to end. I feel like I’m being reacquainted with dear friends I’ve lost touch with and now we’ve reconnected.
Clara and X will always be my favorite royal couple. When they are in the same room, everyone can see and feel their chemistry. It’s as if the world around them fades away and they are the only ones who exist.
The secondary relationships in this story are the ones everyone wishes we had in our life. Friendships that withstand the test of time, troubles and conflict. Friends you can trust with your deepest darkest secrets and know they’ll always have your back.
Is there anything more sexy, that makes a woman go weak in the knees than seeing a man nurturing his child? Fatherhood brings out a softer side of X that is heartwarming and totally swoon worthy.
I couldn’t read Wild King fast enough but also slow enough to savor it. This book checks every box for what I must have. Family secrets, hidden agendas, betrayals, angst and so much more. This book pulled me in from the first page so much that I ignored the world around me. Definitely my most favorite read of 2019 so far!!
This book can be read as a stand alone but you really should meet Clara and Alexander from the beginning with Command Me.
I loved Wild King and the fast-paced ever changing family dynamics that drove the storyline. Clara and Alexander’s tug and pull relationship is at the for front of the story and have you guessing which strong, dominant personality will prevail in the end. The family secrets, suspense, turbulence and danger made for amazing scenes. The writing was fantastic and the characters were really well developed. The inclusion of characters from past books made it even more enjoyable. There are so many questions that need answering, and I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on the next installment of this series.
I was completely enthralled with X and Clara in Wild King. They are back in this new The Royals Collection series with their all consuming relationship that has to battle family secrets and the twists and turns that follow when you try to keep secrets from your most loved ones. This story was fast paced with one event after another that kept me turning pages from beginning to end. Now I cannot wait until Wicked Queen for more questions to be answered, hopefully.
I love X and Clara. I’m so happy they are back.
I’m so, so, so happy we get more of Alexander and Clara!! Loved this book…more secrets, more revelations…more twists and turns! I have so many suspicions and I just can’t wait for Wicked Queen to see if I’m on the right track or totally off in my thinking. Amazing writing-I was completely hooked from the first page. I love these Royals!!!
I had a hard time saying goodbye to Alexander and Clara, and pretty much the entire Royal family Geneva has created, so it was a tempting pleasure to realize the plot was back to pick up from where things had left, diving further into the secrecy, their relationship and angst. I’m glad their story has continued, and I can’t wait for the next installment. The book ends in a cliffhanger, and I do miss a bit of X’s kinkier side showing up here, but at the same time, I couldn’t put it down once I started reading.
Freakin awesome
Don’t Cross these Royals! 4 stars
I have read the Royals saga, but this can be read as a stand-alone book. So jump in! But I was elated to be back in this world, because this book captivated me from the beginning. Alexander is still as Alpha as ever which I love, but he is keeping secrets. Clara is as feisty as ever, and I still adore her for it. But she also decided to keep a secret from Alexander. Their chemistry is still as sizzling as ever! The unraveling of secrets, outside forces, and both Alexander and Clara fighting for their marriage make for an engaging read, and I can’t wait to read the next book in this 3 book series!
I received a copy of this ebook for my honest review.
This is my first book by this author and I have no idea why I waited so long. Geneva is an amazing author and this book had me eagerly awaiting the next page. I was hooked from the beginning and can’t wait to read the next book.
Alexander and Clara are still trying to adjust to all the changes in their lives. They never had a honeymoon and could still be considered newlyweds. Elizabeth is growing by leaps and bounds. While they both adore her, it is difficult to balance their lives as Royals with the demands of parenting and their desire to be a normal family.
Clara is again pregnant. Breaking the new to X and trying to impress upon him she is not fragile is harder than she thought. His possessiveness and overbearing need to protect her keeps her fighting him for some liberty. This is fine and well until again her life is threatened. Prepare yourselves for Royal fights!
The Games must go on and Alexander is not willing to host them. If the public is to embrace their new King, Alexander mus realize he must bend a little. It is not just the memories of the Games and his father. There are participants involved that will drive Alexander to obsession and jealousy. Poor Clara!
Captivating and steamy, this book continues the story of Alexander, Clara and all their friends. It will keep you entertained while their lives keep getting more and more complex by the minute.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
Cross Me by Geneva Lee is the first book in her new Royal World series. This is another look into the world of King Alexander and Queen Clara, their life in the palace, and the bedroom, their family and all the issues involved, and their friends. If finding each other and fighting for their love was hard, keeping it working and in one piece is even harder. Secrets still threaten to break X and Clara and all the while, danger lurks in the shadows leaving it’s threatening presence looming in their lives.
Well-written and well-paced, this book was hot as hell, sinfully crafted, intriguing and utterly captivating, the Royals of Geneva Lee’s world are some of my favorite! Told in dual POV between X and Clara this book twists and turns and makes your heart bleed. With a cliffhanger ending you absolutely must go and read this then read book two – Claim Me – all before book three (Consume Me) comes out in just a couple of short weeks on June 24, 2019. I absolutely loved this! Enjoy!
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
I absolutely love royalty romances, and have read Geneva Lee before, so I thought why not jump on this one? Cross Me is the first book in a new spin off into the Royal World but you’ll see characters from her previous books. I wasn’t fully lost reading this without having read all of Ms. Lee’s royalty books.
In Cross Me we have King Alexander and, his wife, Queen Clara. These two have had to take the throne quicker than they expected. It’s taking a toll on their marriage as they’re trying to feel their way through politics inside the family, Parliament, and assassination attempts.
Lots going on in this novel, so you must keep up! There’s a family dynamic in here that’s a bit of a puzzle. Trying to figure out who’s on the King/Queen’s side is a must.
Now here’s the kicker – as usual there’s many secrets behind the monarchy. This one is no exception. These secrets, though, can possibly tear Alexander and Clara apart. Something they must watch out for.
Next up is Claim Me – I have a feeling we’re going to get deeper into these secrets as we get further along into the Royal World.
I fell in love with Clara and X from the moment I read Command Me. Their story swept me away and made them one of my favorite couples of all times. So it was a bitter-sweet moment when they finally found their HEA in Complete Me. And that’s also the reason why few months ago my day significantly improved when I found out that Geneva Lee is writing another Clara and X trilogy.
One of the things I was most excited about this new series is that it shows the life of Clara and X after their HEA. As we all know, finding your other half and overcoming all the obstacles between the two of you, doesn’t mean that your life is all hearts and flowers. And that’s exactly what you are going to find in Cross Me: a newly married couple, who is trying to navigate their way through this new stage in their lives. And though, their love for each other is obvious, that doesn’t mean that they don’t make mistakes. And them being THE Royal couple, doesn’t make things any easier.
So be ready for this emotional roller coaster and all the drama that it brings. Add to that the danger and suspense lurking around the corner and the white hot chemistry between Clara and X and you have a page turner 😀 And even if you are not a huge fan of drama and suspense, I can guarantee that X with his dominant and sexy ways is well worth your attention 😉
If you are new to Geneva Lee or new to X and Clara’s story, you can start with this book and you won’t be lost. But in my opinion, in order to enjoy the story completely, you should read the series from the start. As for me, I am jumping into Claim Me asap because I just need to find out what happens next (that cliffie is eating me alive :D).
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Another fabulous book from Geneva Lee. I fell in love with X and Clara in previous books and my live for them continues through Cross Me. I love this series and am always excited when a new one comes out. Grab Cross Me and settle in for an adventure with The Royals.
I love that this couple is already married and even though they do not work well all the time the love is strong enough to over come it all
This series starts after another one that explains how Alexander and Cara get together. Should you read the first series, probably it will give you more insight in to the world. Do you have to, no you do not and I did not feel lost while reading it at all! Alexander is the freaking King of England and you find out that Cara is the American that stole his heart and they were married.
Even while the public and parliament likes to judge every single action that the royal couple make, they are still trying their best to navigate through the world. Alexander has a freaky side and the passion that he has for his feisty wife is intoxicating.
There are SO FREAKING MANY secrets though! Seriously, I want to slap X a couple of times because he feels like he is protecting Clara, but he is really just digging himself in to so many holes.
This was a great read though and even though it ends with a cliffhanger, it was an enjoyable read and I am looking forward to the rest of the series!
PS: I received this book for free, but am voluntarily and honestly reviewing it!
A PASSIONATE DELIGHT!!!
Tipping the scales! This is one intriguing spin that leaves you breathless, craving more. Struggling through contention and hostilities, striving for peace and safety that seem untouchable. Combating all the trials and tribulations along with a horde of twists and turns bring this baby together impeccably. A barrage of unforseen circumstances and vexing surprises push those conflicting emotions to life smoothly. The characters are authentic and tangible with on point personalities that makes it easy to relate. The scenes are descriptive and graphic that flood each scenario with a colorful backdrop as the play out seamlessly. Fantastic job Geneva, thanks for sharing.
I love that Geneva decided to continue the story of Clara and Alexander after falling in love with them in the previous Royals series! This series starter starts off after their wedding and the birth of their child Elizabeth, and the acclimation into the royal lifestyle. With Clara being American and not used to a royal lifestyle and Alexander being overprotective yet cautious, the bulk of this storyline is navigating this royal way of life while providing a happy medium of normalcy and royalty. All the reasons that I enjoyed the first series are why I also enjoyed this book and anticipate the next in the series. The witty banter, the growth of the relationship, and the continuation of secrets carried over and added to the story. This book does end on a cliffhanger, and it was an epic one that I didn’t see coming and made the book that much better. Can’t wait to read on and get all the questions answered!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
