Good read.
I liked the setting and all the twists and turns.
While I rated this book just an “okay” – that doesn’t mean it was bad. It was just formulaic and it had some funny moments. What made it just “okay” was that I did not want to go to the next or prior book in the series…there was nothing so compelling that I wanted to do that, although, I did appreciate the recipe at the end. Not enough depth in the characters or the plot…although all the components were there and the potential to do so.
This is just too much like all the other “bakery owner who solves mystery” books out in the market place.
Interesting
Good cozy mystery. Nice story. Likable characters. I look forward to reading the next in the series to find out what happens to them next.
I liked the book. The characters were interesting and mostly likable, you know…except the killer.. Bentley was a pleasant surprise and I think I would have liked him in real life.
It seemed to wrap up a little too quickly at the end, but not a bad read.
enjoyed the characters!
