I loved it. I just bought the series.
The storyline was easy and you don’t have to think too much. BUT, BUT the editing is terrible. Words that sound the same but don’t mean the same. Words left out and some that just plain don’t make sense. Get a better editor. In fact, I’ll volunteer.
Unfortunately the book never captured me and I would not recommend it. Unsure if I’ll read any other books from this author.
Meh. Predictable even for this genre. Not my favorite of her works.
Caleb, was basically shanghaied into the army by some dodgy means. He left his family and Renny behind, thinking that he was keeping them safe. Little did he know that he left a little bit of himself behind – he has a son!
When Caleb returns to Bitten Point and realises everything he has missed out on, he becomes determined to be a great dad and even better mate. He just has to get Renny on board!
Add in some mysterious disappearances and some weird experiments being conducted at Bittech and you got yourself a great wee read!
Renny is a single mother raising a son and trying to keep it all together. Caleb is a crocodile shifter, left and never looked back now four years later he is back and hoping to stay. He has a lot of apologizing to do. When he finds out he has a son and could have know but didn’t open the letters Renny sent, he has a lot of making up to do. When his son goes missing, Caleb and his croc will do anything to get him back, even coming to terms with his other half. Great story. I’ve never read one with a crocodile shifter. Well written and a little funny. Sex and a mystery.
I absolutely loved it and i would definitely recommend it
What a great start for this new series. Jam packed with lots of humor, action, suspense, and steamy romance. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I love this Eve Langlais series and Croc’s Return had some really edgy scenes that I loved.
Have never read an Eve Langlais book I haven’t enjoyed!
~ 4 Croc’s Return Stars ~
Croc’s Return is book one in the Bitten Point series by Eve Langlais. Coming home brings with it a few surprise for our hero and heroine, a second chance at romance, and a mystery to solve.
To start I’ve never read a reptile shifter story before. It was different, unique, and enjoyable. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the different kind of shifter.
Caleb I loved him. I couldn’t understand why he left town, but as you read on you learn what haunts him and why he did what he did. Should he have left, no, but then we wouldn’t have our tortured hero. He’s a good guy trying to fix all the hurt he caused when he disappeared leaving behind his family and the one women he loved. I also really enjoyed his croc and the chats he had with his beast side.
Renny, she’s a strong women and I enjoyed her. She dealt with the past well and when a threat comes around she gets on board with being safe.
These two worked well together. The romance is slow at first, but they have a lot to deal with from the past. Once they get over that the chemistry sparked and we are treated to some hot scenes. I also liked the development and introduction to other characters in the town of Bitten Point. The little mystery surrounding the town and swamp lands, which brings a few surprises and helped Caleb come to terms with his croc was enjoyable. The mystery does not fully wrap up and looks like it will be carried on into the next book, so I am a we bit interested to see what’ll happen next.
Croc’s Return has some suspense, a sweet second chance at love, and some great surprises. I quit enjoyed the reptile shifter aspect and am looking forward to continuing this series.
