The ghosts surrounding Victor Bayne are getting awfully pushy. The medications that Victor usually takes to control his abilities are threatening to destroy his liver, and his new meds aren’t any more effective than sugar pills. Roger, his new PsyCop partner, has all the personality of white bread, but at least he’s willing to spring for the Starbucks. Explicit gay content.
Criss Cross is another great addition to the PysCop Series!

Vic is struggling in this book and his special gift is in overdrive!!
Jacob is now living with Vic after the events from book one and our favorite Psycouple is learning how to build a relationship and communicate. Things are getting interesting as Vic’s gift goes into overdrive and Jacob starts receiving cryptic messages from a friend about danger lurking.
This book was well-written, fast paced and the romance between Vic and Jacob is just swoony. I am truly enjoying this series and I can’t wait to head into book 3!
I like the Psycop series though it does become a little repetitive when it comes to the main character. Yes, the story is based on Victor but how many times do we need to hear his problems? Overall though, the series is worth reading.
For an urban fantasy this book is kind of lighthearted. There is a degree of levity in the dialogues that makes this a fun read instead of dreary. The main attraction for me is Vic and how he handles all the hurdles the life throws at him because if his psychic ability. Despite how negatively he might describe or think of himself, there are people who will go out of their way to be there for him. He is just that irresistible. I like his casual approach to things, but most of all I like how among all the easy going attitude there are hard principles he follows and lives by.
Jacob is steadfast and sweet, and I can see already that he is head over heels for Vic. I think Vic needs somebody to love him, and Jacob has enough fascination with paranormal to ignore the weird and see the vulnerable man underneath. Plus he is all kinds of good looking which I dig especially when Vic describes him.
The suspense angle was a bit covert this time. It started off slowly and just snowballed into a big pile of bad and evil with a sprinkle of crazy. It was good in a way I didn’t expect and convoluted in a way that made me happy. I enjoyed it.
Wow, this was just such a great read! I loved the suspense in this book! There’s this sense of danger coming, but it’s impossible to make out the source or reason. The ghosts are even nuttier and more frightening than before. This is definitely a book you can’t put down, because you need to find out more and you need to know right now! I loved the pacing of this story, the little crumbs the author leaves for the reader to try and figure everything out before the MC’s do.
Vic and Jacob are so adorable together. So perfect for each other, though a bit lacking in the communication department which makes their story even more emotionally intense. They really gave me all the feels.
I love the writing style and the humor in this series, not to mention the author’s wily imagination! The secondary characters, especially the MC’s friends, are absolutely wonderful too. Down-to-earth, dependable Maurice and Lisa with her life-saving si-no talent are my favorites.
I read this book on its own, which is not the first book in a series, and had a hard time figuring out what was going on. And once I did, I wasn’t that interested. But maybe it’s just me.
Confusing storyline. Unexceptional characters and basically a waste of time.
