The next generation – the children of Snow White, Cinderella, and others – have lives and stories of their own. And not just long ago and far away but (sort of) here and now! Enjoy! I was going to be a great protagonist. At least that’s what my mom, Cinderella, kept telling me. I, however, had my doubts. Unlike most main characters at Lady Agnue’s School for Princesses & Other Female … & Other Female Protagonists, I was opinionated, bold, and headstrong. Moreover, for a princess, I had a lot of issues. I’m talking vicious nightmares about people I’ve never met, a total stalker prince, and a Fairy Godmother for an enemy.
But I digress. Because here’s the thing about living in an enchanted realm of fairytale characters, crazy junk you never planned on happens all the time. One minute you could be practicing fainting exercises in Damsels in Distress class, sword fighting in a field, or flying on a Pegasus, and the next, BAM! Your book has begun and you’re saddled with a prophecy that changes everything.
I still don’t know if I will be a great protagonist one day. But I know one thing about my fate, for certain. Despite what The Author and the antagonists have in store for me, whatever it costs. . .I’ll be the one taking charge of my own story..

It made me think of all the tears and emotions and thoughts that I had always kept inside of me and this book helped me express and experience them easily. LOVE THIS BOOK SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!
A fun take on classic fairy tales. Some people are fated to be part of a great story, like Cinderella and Snow White. But what happens if their teen-aged children want to create their own stories instead of just living the one already written? Crisanta is an inspiring heroine determined to live life on her terms, even if she is a princess.
I enjoyed it. It kept my interest.
Fairy tale sequels are fun and learning about the offspring of the world’s favorite characters is entertaining too. This book has an interesting world, interesting characters, and a plot that makes me ready to pick up the rest of the series.
I really liked this book. Super cute and easy to read! If you love fairytales, this is the book for you. A mix between old time fairytales and modern day. Worth the time to read it. I couldn’t stop laughing.
This looks like a good start to the series.
Brave girls taking their destinies into their own hands is a good theme.
Grrrrrl power!
Super fun and original! Can’t wait to see where the series goes!
Good teen read. Love the twist of fairy tale destiny vs free will
A finishing school for magical girls. As a legacy (her mom’s a princess), everyone has certain expectations of her and she goes the opposite way when she can. But when her ‘book’ gets started (what everyone is in finishing school for, their own stories) she tries to escape her fate every way she can think of. Fun mid range reading, nothing offensive, high school/ girls boarding school setting.
Took a little to get into and like the characters, but I stuck with it and am glad I did. Ended up getting the second book in the series and so far like it better than the first
Lighthearted tale of friendship and trust. Witty characters
Such a good book, great for people who like fantasy and female protagonist books.
A book with action, mysterious magic that asks “Where do fairytale heroes’ kids go to school? And what do they grow up to become?” Sometimes the protagonist, Crisanta, took too long to explain things, but there were some great action scenes and at the end of the book I was looking forward to the next one.
Too much narrative and not enough resolution of issues.
Intriguing start to a series.
Just couldn’t get into this one didn’t even finish it, it was kinda whiny
For middle. schoolers.
This book was somewhat confusing. I’m also disappointed in stories that use magic or other unrealistic occurrences as a way out of all situations. The reader never has to worry because magic is always available to save the day.
Hard to read.
Found this very boring and I struggled to get involved. More for the early teenagers perhaps? After first three chapters I gave up and deleted from my device.
