ABOUT THIS EPISODEThe Golden Ratio killer resurfaces in California to target a former victim, and this time the case takes Malcolm and Seong-Jae hunting deep into his past, searching for connections between victim and killer that may reveal his identity. But with the killer one step ahead of them, toying with them, leaving false trails at every turn, it’s like playing Russian Roulette — and if … Russian Roulette — and if they guess the wrong suspect out of a potential five, one misstep could leave many more dead.
With Malcolm and Seong-Jae’s domestic life — and sex life — up in the air they’re off their game, off the mark, and already starting to crack. But they aren’t the only ones, as back in Baltimore Huang kicks a new plan into motion and Anjulie finds herself under unwanted scrutiny. Everyone’s lives are falling apart.
And if they can’t get their sh*t together, more than their relationships may crash and burn.

For me this episode was much better than the first one in Season Two – primarily because there was more interaction between Seong Jae and Malcolm, including one of the hottest sex scenes I’ve ever read, intensely specific to them and enlightening for readers. I don’t know what to think of Sade’s predicament. But I suspect that’s okay this soon into the season.
Malcolm and Seong-Jae will be the death of me!!!! It’s a short book and a winner just like the previous books. I couldn’t put it down!!
Joshi is still on the fence. I don’t trust him. Not yet anyway. Sade and Huang broke my heart. I love them so much and I’m so sad!!
And that sex scene?! Stunning. I didn’t think I would be a fan but I was so wrong. So very wrong.
The killer is truly sickening! So fucked up that I can’t even find words. Reading his POV crept me out so badly. The writing is absolutely incredible. I really enjoyed the multiple POV as we get an overall picture. Onto the next book as I can’t wait!
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

He’s Baaaack! These guys seriously can’t catch a break. The Golden Ratio killer is such a tease. Malcolm and Seong-Jae are once again intellectually, emotionally, relationshipwise, spiritually and professionally challenged to be better LE, better friends, better men and better partners. The opening, as always throws the hook, jiggles to capture and draws you in. You can see, feel, smell, hear and everything but touch the crime, the victim reactions. And yes, Mr McCade is so good, you can smell the crime scenes. You can scent the blood. You can smell the fear. Good story! Do they catch GRC and find peace? Do they set another piece of baggage down? I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This new addition to the second season of Seong Jay and Malcolm’s story continues to astound, I seriously cannot get enough of this series. The author has cranked up the intensity to eleven, not just for the characters but for readers too. I was once again glued to my tablet until the end, I am so ready to see what is in store for Seong Jay and Malcolm in the next book.

Cole Maccade is a master storyteller. As per usual, he had me at the edge of my seat with this installment of the series. I was a tad sceptical, the whole season follows one serial killer on a murder spree, as to the individual cases we dealt with in the first season. But man, this one was intense. From Yoon and Malcolm’s relationship, raw and laid bare, to Sila, the psychopath doing what he does best. This might just be the second episode of the season but I KNOW when it all comes to head it will be epic
I can say with all honesty that each episode gets better and better. Apart from crimes and murder investigations, the author gives attention to all the couples in the series – their thoughts, misgivings and vulnerabilities are on display. I love how raw and sharp the feelings are at times. I really like hints here and there about the killer, the motive and anything connected to them – it’s quite gory and fascinating at the same time. The way Seong-Jae and Malcolm work together is freaking awesome! *fan girl moment*
The second episode doesn’t give away much in regards to the killer. He has upped the ante in a way that leaves everyone baffled. But even now Mal and Seong-Jae are relentless in search of anything to point them in the right direction. They might have found something or not. While work is filled with tension, in private they explore the secrets that Seong-Jae kept close to heart till now. They become closer than ever since another barrier has come down between them.
I love the guessing game. Every character adds to the riddle – one random act here, one stray thought there. The story is filled with tension and rich emotions, the people are not what they seem and the killer is smarter and more deranged than anyone can imagine. I loved this episode! All the feels and my favorite characters are back and more amazing than ever!
