“Come to me, Lyla, and I’ll let your father live.” Three years ago, Lyla Dalton fled from the glittering lights of Las Vegas and the ruthless man who rules the criminal underworld, Gavin Pyre. She created a new identity and has been living a quiet life, but that’s at an end. He’s found her and is bringing her back to where she belongs. As Lyla navigates through the dark secrets of her past, … navigates through the dark secrets of her past, she’s forced to face a man who won’t accept no for an answer from the woman he still claims as his.
Author’s Note: This is a dark romance novel with triggers, violence, and mature themes that may make some readers uncomfortable.

Crime Lord’s Captive by Mia Knight
5 stars!!!!!
I am in book heaven when I find a new author and series which to read and both boxes are ticked with this. I wasnt sure at first how I was
gonna be able to get into this series but within the first few pages I was hooked. This is not your average flowers and lovey dovey kind of romance
this book is a little dark. The author does a great job in creating the book settings and plot. There is plenty of action and plenty of twists and
turns in this book.
Lyla’s whole situation really had me hooked with this book. You can feel the emotional rollercoaster she is on and you are riding it with her
as the book progresses. At first you feel the fear and longing she feels and then you follow along her life and see that maybe just maybe there can
be a happy ending. Like all good authors though this book ends in a cliffehanger and leaves you wanting more. So yes I wil definitely be reading
more from this author in future and this series cause I really want to see what will happen between Lyla and Gavin.
This book is great I couldn’t put it down. I had to read all the books available in the series. Now I’m waiting for the next book in the series and I can hardly wait. Great writing the characters have me on a rollocoaster.
Not a fan of the characters, plot, or the writing
It’s been over two weeks since I read this and all I can remember is it was dumb. And typical. It wasted some time between appointments, it was free, and it was utterly forgettable. Obviously.
Couldn’t finish
This book really caught me by surprise. It is not uncommon for me to get a great deal on the first book in a series on BookBub then drop the series after the freebie. That was definitely it the case here. I read all three books in about two and a half days and am anxiously awaiting Carmen’s story.
I did not this book. Gavin is a pathetic excuse for a man. I’m not even going to bother the rest of the series.
Wonderful and exciting; great characters
I enjoyed this book until almost the end- awful ending- seemed like the author just wanted to finish writing.
It was something I thought i would never read but it was a great read thriller for me
Great read very enjoyable.
Gavin is the quintessential antihero. He has no moral compass and is unflinchingly brutal but he loves Lyla completely. Now in real life any woman with common sense would run from him as fast as she could. But this is fiction and Gavin is hotter than hell. Lyla does run but is eventually found and brought back. I loved this story because in the world of fiction you can enjoy the bad boy and every female has at one time wanted the bad boy, dreamed that she would be the one to tame him. What I loved about Gavin is that he remains pretty bad and exciting. As I said it is fiction. So I loved it.
great writer, real page-turner
LOVED IT! You find yourself so engrossed in the characters and you are rooting for their love
ok…cliffhanger
very good couldn’t put it down.
I don’t care for books that you have to buy another to find out what happened. I want to read a book and when done, That be the end, not buy another and another and another.
It kept my interest
If you like “The Godfather”, you’ll enjoy this series. This is about the underworld and also very ‘human’. I love the characters. Very well written. There are more books in the Crime Lord series and I look forward to each one.
